In this post, the rabbinic prophecies are tied in with the prophecy from Zechariah about the Red Horse, and the 70 years.

The Red Horse
Zech 1:8 I saw by night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and it stood among the myrtle trees in the hollow; and behind him were horses: red, sorrel, and white.
Zech 1:9 Then I said, “My lord, what are these?” So the angel who talked with me said to me, “I will show you what they are.”
Zech 1:10 And the man who stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, “These are the ones whom the LORD has sent to walk to and fro throughout the earth.”
Now this same red horse is the one in Revelation that is sent out to take peace from the earth
Rev 6:4 Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.
The 70 years
Zech 1:11 So they answered the Angel of the LORD, who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, “We have walked to and fro throughout the earth, and behold, all the earth is resting quietly.”
Zech 1:12 Then the Angel of the LORD answered and said, “O LORD of hosts, how long will You not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah , against which You were angry these seventy years?”
Note that for a period of SEVENTY YEARS God has not allowed mercy upon Israel and especially Jerusalem … the Babylonian captivity was seventy years.
The red horse has been riding for almost 70 years now.
This is a dual prophecy.
It has been fulfilled in the past and will be fulfilled again in the future…

Nations who “help” Israel, but with evil intentions:
Zech 1:13 And the LORD answered the angel who talked to me, with good and comforting words.
Zech 1:14 So the angel who spoke with me said to me, “Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts:
“I am zealous for Jerusalem. And for Zion with great zeal.
Zech 1:15 I am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease; For I was a little angry, And they helped-but with evil intent.”
Now here we see the anger which God has against the nations who have ‘used’ Israel …
Does this sound like the USA or other western nations today?….
“And they helped – but with evil intent.”

The prophecy about a rebuilt temple
Zech 1:16 ‘Therefore thus says the LORD:
“I am returning to Jerusalem with mercy;
My house shall be built in it,” says the LORD of hosts,
“And a surveyor’s line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem.”
Revelation too covers this survey of a new Temple to be built
REV 11:1 Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, “Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there.

Prophecy of Rabbi Judah Ben Samuel
Rabbi Judah Ben Samuel was a top Talmudic scholar in Germany .
Just before he died in the year 1217 he prophesied that the Ottoman Turks would rule over the holy city of Jerusalem for eight jubilees.
That is 400 years (8 x 50).
The Ottoman Turks did take control of Jerusalem 300 years after the Rabbi’s death in 1517 and as according to the prophecy, the Ottoman Turks then lost Jerusalem 400 years later in 1917.
The Rabbi then went on to say that after the eight jubilees, the ninth jubilee would have Jerusalem being a no-man’s-land, which it was from 1917 to 1967 until the Six-Day-War.
The Rabbi’s prophecy then stated that in the tenth Jubilee that Jerusalem would be controlled by Israel, and then the Messianic end times would begin. That would then bring the time to 2017.

Connection between August 1914 and December 1917 (3 ½ year period)?:
The kickoff day for WWI was the 9th of Av (August 1) 1914, when Russia and Germany entered the war establishing the plurality of nations involved in the war.
In 1917 all nations that were involved in the war had become involved.
December, Hannukah, 1917 General Allenby entered Jerusalem and established it for Israel, taking it back from the Turks.
There are 1260 days between the 9th of Av (August 1) 1914, and Hanukkah (Kislev 26), 1917.
This timing of 3 ½ years is the same time for Jacob’s trouble, and the entry of Messiah into Jerusalem.

100 year generation:

100 years is the limit of a generation found in the Bible (as defined by Abraham’s 4 generations of a total of 400 years (400 years divided by 4 generations = 100).
Is it a coincidence that the Rabbi’s prophesy of 400 years also ends in 1917?
1517 + 400 (Ottoman rule) = 1917
1917 + 100 years (limit to generation) = 2017

And in conclusion, if we take the prophecy of Zechariah…
1:12 Then the Angel of the LORD answered and said, “O LORD of hosts, how long will You not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah , against which You were angry these seventy years?”
1948 – rebirth of Israel in 1948, (involving the replanting of the Myrtle trees chopped down by the Ottomans)…
+ 70 – years that God has been angry with Jerusalem and the cities of Israel (Judah)…
we arrive at the year 2017

Thoughts – Right or Wrong?
Is the rabbi correct about 2017?
He was right about the Ottoman Turks, and the length of their rule in Israel.
He was right about the time when Jerusalem was “no man’s land” – between 1917-1967.
He was right about Israel regaining Jerusalem afterwards in 1967.
Time will tell.
This is 2010. We have 7 years left to find out.

She is still young, she felt her life was over, and she was being “cheated” out of a good life because the world, as she knows it, will end.

I can assure everyone that NO ONE who accepts Jesus as Messiah is going to be “cheated.”
The opposite will happen.
Their abundant life is assured, not taken away, and the Messianic age will be a joyful one, if we just submit to God, and repent of our sins, accepting salvation through Jesus.

Sir Isaac Newton arrived at 2016…the solar/lunar eclipses (tetrads) that occur on Jewish HOly Days is 2014/2015……Obama was elected Nov 2008 and if he serves 2 terms wouldn’t that put us at Nov 2016?
I absolutely believe that we are getting closer. I try to witness and nobody wants to listen, so do I just move on or do I keep trying? What i have observed from the “baptist” community is that 1) they are waiting on the pre-trib so that they can live happily ever after…they have expressed that they don’t believe in Acts 2 -that was then and this is now paradigm-and they are very content sitting in their pews on SUNDAY no less and waiting for the “twinkling of an eye”. I get so upset and frustrated because I feel strongly that NOW more than any other time in history, we NEED the Holy Spirit to get us through this, protect us, warn us, speak on our behalf, SEAL US, and bring POWER to our witness to others….it is the HS that convicts us of our sins…if our churches continue to stay DRY then HOW do we reach more people?
Given all the research and people coming up with similar dates or dates within the same vicinity, give or take a few years, I firmly believe that we are HERE-that which has been preached for centuries has finally arrived and what drives me NUTS is everyone sticking their heads in the sand!

this means 2016 would be the last year.

What’s fascinating is how shi’ite muslims even believe their 12th and final imam is coming. Ahmadinejad publicly stated that he believes he is paving the way for him and the Mahdi (who is muslim’s redeemer). They also prophesy that the Jews will expect their Messiah to rescue them, but that He will be the anti-christ, called Dajjal, and teach muslims to reject him.
Not many know about this, but what an amazing twist of characters from the muslim beliefs and satan’s lies, when in fact, Dajjal (their anti-christ) will in fact be Jesus Christ at the second coming and the Madhi (their redeemer) will in fact be the anti-Christ.
This morning, I read about the transfiguration and couldn’t help but notice how it starts off stating, “After six days…” The six day is about to finish and soon we will see glorious splendor, praise His holy name!
One thing is for sure the time is nearly than ever before. Only God knows the actual time and places. However there are signs as you so wonderfully shared here. I was reading this morning in the book of Job that the fear of the Lord is wisdom and obedient is understanding. God is good. Share as much as you can and God will provide increase. If you take into account the lunar tetrads discovered by Mark Blitz to occur on the feasts in 2014 and 2015… and that Jacobs trouble will be shortened, (for the sake of the elect) then 2017 might just be right and rapture this fall! Praise God!!
I too, have found people very resistant to the hearing that time is short. I have been praying for God to bring people into my sphere of operation who are ready to hear. It is tricky. I have usually operated under the method of building relationships of trust and mutual respect with people and sharing the Gospel in the least confrontational way as possible. Slow. Lovingly. Respectfully. However, with time being so short I am envisioning myself behaving like a lunatic on the steps of the courthouse. To quote one of my heros , Terry Taylor of DA, “Souls saved by this ministry, 11. Souls irrevocable hardened to the Gospel by this ministry, 133 million!!! People we have negative fruit here!”
I want to spriniting to the finish line, panting-but not necessarily foaming at the mouth…

I sit every morning and drink my coffee, and just reflect in amazement at what god is doing.
Other wise, I am doing nothing. Nothing I can do more than what I am already doing.
So I relax and wait, and discuss with those who are interested.
Hearing all this about the end of the world is so depressing. and to top it all off, i don’t really know what to do with it. I want to tell my family about it, but they won’t listen, or they think im crazy or just being too dramatic. i love and believe in God, but sometimes i find myself slipping too. i just don’t want it to be too late and i haven’t prepared my family or even my self for it. Please help me as to what i should do!!

Obviously, we are not to live in any fear. But we are told to notice the signs and to be ready for hard times and suffering, and be prepared to ENDURE coming trials. Sure, we could be misreading the signs of the times, there is always the chance that the Lord will not return for hundreds of years…but it does appear that the time is indeed near…and even if not, Yeshua told the disciples 2000 years ago, to be always ready and prepared!
Jesus warned not to listen to the ministers who say end is near. Here is the reference:
“Take heed that ye be not deceived, for many shall come in my name, saying, `I am Christ’ [I am anointed], and `THE TIME DRAWETH NEAR’. Go ye not therefore after them” (Lk.21:8).

I sincerely tell y’all that end will not come in our life time, neither will awaited Messiah or Jesus or Anti Christ or any such figure will come in our life time, there is no such possibility.
This is a bitter truth for those who lay all their hopes on someone’s return. Much better way is to lay hope that when individual life ends then you will get a chance to meet God, which can happen from 20 to 50 years for most of us. But little do we understand.

We all will meet God. Not all with continue on with him after death. We either go to heaven or hell after judgment.

Suzy, it’s one thing to say “I do not think this will happen soon”, but quite another to arrogantly claim to have inside knowledge that it will NOT happen for sure. I suggest you submit to the authority of Yahshua our Messiah, allow Him to be the author and perfector of your faith, and “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding, but in all your ways, acknowledge him , and he will make your paths staight (Proverbs 3:5).

You also have to understand all we are doing here is speculating about the time of the return, not guaranteeing a date.
We see the signs and make calculated guesses. But Jesus said only the Father knows the day and the hour of his return.
WE discuss when this could happen, and then take a “wait and see” approach.
…i too have seen a change in how people (family and church friends) respond to mentioning end times. There is much denial….i feel they are afraid of losing their possessions…or having to change themselves. So many are losing homes, jobs, and their health…yet they rather live in denial then turn to the Lord! In 1 Corth. 3:6,7….one person planted the seed, another watered it, but GOD made it grow. This has helped me greatly with my sorrow over lost loved one…i am doing what he wants me to do…and trusting Him to make the seed grow. The more i am in His word the more peace i have in the chaos of this world. Satan is working overtime to oppress and bring God’s children down…this takes us focusing on Christ Jesus for each step…praise God we are on the victorious team. HAVE HOLY COURAGE !!!

Dear Marianne, I thought I might inject a little possibility, If the earth is shaken as the scripture says it will, and the axis rotated to 90 degrees again we coukd see the days shortened as the bible talks about 1/3 of the stars, 1/3 of the moon and 1/3 of the sun dissappear. Could actually be the days shrtened by 1/3 = 18 hour days, thus crop failier etc. ans we would still have 1260 dats as Daniel & Jonh says! What do you think?

Wow, a 90 degree change in the axis? That is a lot. The north pole would end up at the equator. I think the days would still be the same length. It is just that our latitudes would change. If the earth started to spin faster, that would make each day shorter. I really hope I am not here to find out.
Not a 90 degree axis change but a 23 degree axis change back to it’s original orbit before Noah’s flood, what now?

I am not sure what will happen, as far as earth changes. How did you determine a 23 degree change?
For me, no one still alive was around back then to tell us what position the earth was in, and how much it changed.
But maybe this will happen. Maybe this is one reason the believers are removed from the earth at one point.
We are promised a new heaven and a new earth. It sounds like God is going to do some restoration to our planet, after a long time of damage by mankind.
Not all believers are removed. Unless all believers in Christ are removed, and some that see this start praying real hard.
I read a Dr. level paper, that some who follow Christ are slated for death during the Tribulation, as a testiment for others. Whoever they are, if that is true, will have to be strong in the lord.

It’s funny how your god is supposedly merciful, yet he’s perfectly willing to take sides. Please tell me something: if god had a chosen people, when and why did he change his mind? Is it possible that he made a mistake? Do jews actually believe that christians will be saved as well, or is it just christians who want to take a free ride with a god who has already chosen a few among all mankind? If jews and christians will be saved, why are not they part of the same religion?
Oh, and I love the part where god actually gets angry. I can’t even concieve a god getting angry. Is that a bad joke? Cmon guys, god made everything, right? God getting angry, like a small kid, like a frustrated adult? Cmon.

nice to have you here. God does not get angry over petty things. He shows righteous anger over wickedness and evil.
He is a God of love, but He is also a God of justice.
God has chosen all of us. The question is, will we choose him back?
Both the Jews and Christians have done this – they have chosen him back. They just disagree on who the Messiah is. This will be resolved when the Messiah returns.
Whether it is Jesus or someone else, they will finally be in agreement. They both expect a Jewish Messiah.

I think if you think about it a bit more deeply, it becomes quite easy to imagine an angry God…not petulant as a child, but righteously angry at evil and disobedience/sin. Similar to the anger you might feel at hearing about some child getting raped or murdered, or seeing some teenager teasing an old man. But the thing is…we don’t see ourselves committing such terrible acts, so we think we should be ok in God’s eyes. But He is SO holy and righteous, that when we think about some stupid driver on the road “that person is an idiot!”, YHWH cries deeply and is angry over our sin…we are condemning that other person, and if we wish them dead, God says that is sin and evil, just as actually murdering them is. It’s a high standard, and only Yeshua obeyed perfectly, so we believe in Him and ask His Spirit to help us become more and more like Him each day….thinking pure thoughts, loving our enemies, forgiving others, and obeying all of His commandments…which He made for our GOOD, so that things would go well for us in this world.

Marianne, although I do not necessarily agree with you, I very much appreciate your polite answer. I believe that certainties regarding that which is divine equals blasphemy. However, I like what you said about your god being a god of love and justice. Justice is very important. Sadly, many injustices are commited by many religious folk who, astonishingly, claim to worship a loving and merciful god. I think you’re not that kind. Anyway, peace be with us all.

I understand your feelings.
Mankind has done much evil in the name of God, yet God never ordained it.
This is the difference between a man made religion, and a right relationship with God. The heart has to be submitted to God, and his commandments. If it isn’t, man makes up his own rules.
Several times in scripture, God has made it known that he is against those that speak in his name, or say they were sent by Him, when he never spoke to them, and never sent them. These are false teachers and false prophets. You are justified in rejecting them.
Jesus also predicted that in the last days, which we are in, that there would be a great falling away in the church, and only a remnant would make it though the tribulation or time of testing.
God does not accept those that make shallow claims of holiness. God only accepts those who meet HIS criteria for holiness. His law has to be in their hearts, not just their minds.
God made us to love him and serve him, and give him glory. Those that do this will see him in eternity.
Yesterday I was thinking about this conversation here. You see, when I read the Bible I know I’m reading a book written by men. But I thought, that if I wanted to recognize god’s “handwriting” I only had to look everywhere and see it in all creation. I believe that modern science is the heir to yerterday’s theology. Had the Bible’s writers known what we know today they would have written very differently.
It’s ok to say that the end-times are near. Many people have said this throughout history. But there you have it again: your own interpretation of facts. You feel something’s wrong in the world, and what do you make of it? That end-times is near. But that’s only your interpretation. Did god tell you that the end is near? I mean, technically speaking, everyday we are closer to death than in any other moment in our lives. But to say that end-times is near is to say that you have a correct interpretation of the mind of god, which is quite impossible for our human minds.
I don’t separate Mind from “heart”. They’re both the same. What we percieve as the “heart”, is in fact, a segment of the Mind.

When I say the end times, I am referring to descriptions given in the bible about a future time from that point in the bible.
The current events match the description given. Also, current world tensions indicate, by themselves, a dangerous scenario where we could have another world war. This next war could realistically wipe out the planet, if participating parties go out of control. A nuclear war would be devastating.
Iran, Israel and the US threaten each other. Russia is aligned with Venezuela and Iran. It is providing Iran with nuclear material, and threatens to attack anyone who attacks Iran. Iran insists on blowing up Israel. So far, the US is intent on blowing up Iran, if it becomes more nuclear, or touches Israel. That is just those 3 countries.
Then the world economy is going in the direction of the mark of the beast…a mark or chip in the hand or head for commerce and trade. Without it, we will not be able to buy or sell.
Just a few examples of what I mean.
don’t you think back in WW2 most of the people thought that it was the end too… God only knows , why fret? just live each day like it is your last, praise the Father and Son,, turn everything over to them….

We do not know the hour but the day, month and year is for us to determine. Rev 12:1-5 we see in the havens a drama unfold.
Rev 12:1 AND A great sign (wonder)–[warning of future events of ominous significance] appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and with a crownlike garland (tiara) of twelve stars on her head.
Rev 12:2 She was pregnant and she cried out in her birth pangs, in the anguish of her delivery.
Rev 12:3 Then another ominous sign (wonder) was seen in heaven: Behold, a huge, fiery-red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and seven kingly crowns (diadems) upon his heads. [Dan. 7:7.]
Rev 12:4 His tail swept [across the sky] and dragged down a third of the stars and flung them to the earth. And the dragon stationed himself in front of the woman who was about to be delivered, so that he might devour her child as soon as she brought it forth. [Dan. 8:10.]
Rev 12:5 And she brought forth a male Child, One Who is destined to shepherd (rule) all the nations with an iron staff (scepter), and her Child was caught up to God and to His throne. [Ps. 2:8, 9; 110:1, 2.]
On two occasions do we see the moon, planets, sun and stars line up like this.
11 September 3 BC and 3 October 2016. This can be confirmed with and reasonable good astronomy software programmes.
The 3 eclipses take place on:
1) 1 Sept 2016-Solar-Leo
2) 16 Sept 2016-Lunar-Pisces
3) 2 Oct 2016-Solar-Virgo
4) 3 Oct 2016-Feast of Trumpets (Return of Jesus of Nazareth)
5) 12 Oct 2016-Day of Atonement(Jesus resurrects believers(dead in Christ first, then those who are alive and remain ~ at-one-ment (with))!
6) 17-23 Oct 2016-Feast of Tabernacles (Jesus, with His saints, rules for 1,000 years on earth!)
7) 24 Oct-Last Great Day(Jesus’ Great White Throne Judgement!)

Thank you for that insight. I did not realize that Rev 12 was a description of the planetary alignments.
I was aware of the eclipses occurring on the feast days, but not aware that this was a prediction of the eclipses.

From 3 BC to 2016 AD is about 40.3 jubilees total.

DREAM OF LAST !00 YEARS.
I was in Buffalo New York on New Years Eve 2002 and I had a dream in the very first hour of 2003.
In my dream, I saw a platoon of German soldiers about to go over the top of the trenches in what I believed was the WW1.
I particularly noticed one certain soldier of the group who was an about 19 years old with dark hair and rather good looking.
As this platoon attacked the allies this young soldier was shot and killed as soon as got to the top of the trench.
Then I heard the audible voice of the Lord.
He said.
This is the beginning of the last day.
I asked the Lord. “How long will the last day be Lord?”
The Lord replied.
The last day will be as 100 years.
I believed that it was WW1 because of the size of the trench. The first war was fought from the trenches.
I had wondered if it was going to be 70 Jewish Years or 70 Calendar Years. Now it is January 2011 it is Calendar Years. I believe 2010 was the start of the Days of Noah with Record Breaking Flooding Rainfalls all over Planet Earth. Now it is in QLD, Australia with 75% flooded. In January 2009 for the first and only time in my 75 years my Heavenly Father gave me a vision of these words. Jesus Christ is Coming Soon. As soon as I read the words they disappeared.

That is a good comparison between the floods of Noah and the current flooding we see around the world.
Very inciteful approach. I’ll have to research some more. Psalm 83 war, and Jehoshophats war fit nicely into his theories. It does open up a new way of seeing current events.
This prophecy by Judah Ben Samuel , concerning the year 2017 is correct , i was told of the lord to look at what year the temple was destroyed , which was Ad 70, and GOd works in symetry i could show some but will not at this time but latter, the 70 years was after death of Christ, and for me to look at the rebrith of Israel may the 14th 1948 and count tbhe 70 years by 360 days per year, equals 25200 days , add to may 14th 1948, and you will end up at may 12th 2017 , this will be the time when the temple will be rebuilt, and defiled by the antichrist , and Jewish people will go into hiding , bless all who rewads this ,you may call me Biship,
A generation could be 70 or 80 years, according to the Bible. This put the end at 2017 or 2027. However, the Messiah said that the days would be shortened. So, the end could be 2016-2017 or 2026-2027.

I hope for a soon return for the Messiah. However, in wishing this, I am hoping for a persecution to come soon for my beliefs. It is a conflict we all face. Maybe asking for more time is asking for mercy, not just for ourselves, but for others who are not ready yet.

We ARE really in the last days. The rebuilt of Israel in 1947-1948 is the most important sign. Many scholars agree we are in the last days, but they disagree on the time. Once you see Jerusalem divided within Israel and Palestine, you can ensure we are just some dozens of years before the return of the Messiah.

What I meant was that to wish for the soon return of the Lord is to also wish for the conditions and circumstances that precede his return: all the evil, wars, famine, deaths, martyrdoms that have occurred for 2000 years will climax.
His return is a rescue mission, which means that there is something he will be rescuing us from. How much evil will occur before he arrives will affect everyone. But only the Father knows when the time is right.

The reason that I pointed this site to you, so that you may consider it. I believe we will have one more “week” of years added to your date you are talking about above with regard to 2018. The 70 year cycle coming to an end, in 2018, and the final seven beginning….and then the great sabbath rest.
You might be right. This are all “guesstimates.”
