I want to thank you for opening my eyes, i have become lazy and prideful. I have forgotten what it means to really love God and care for my fellow man, i have not fed the hungry or gave clothes to the needy or visited anyone in prison and for that i am truely ashamed. I read your article and i thank God i did because i know i must change or may life is nothing, i cannot lose Jesus, or my kids, thank you brother, thank you. God bless you.

hi Ed

I can see this a little, but I think most nations are poor because of their own people and leaders, not because of another country, unless that country just invaded them and destroyed everything.

For example, we sent aid to "poor" areas like Palestine and Arafat kept all the money for himself. The new leaders do the same thing. So are we responsible for this?...no....

we do not force North Korea's leader to mistreat his people but he does. Russian leadership seems to have historically suppressed its people as well, at least during the communist era.

Some nations were poor before other nations ever existed also.

And some poor nations have only benefited from richer countries, when they come in and help develop the area, and provide jobs, and give aid.

There are some cases where the poor nation does get exploited for resources, but it is because they were not using or exploiting those resources themselves. They are not developed enough to know about, or want, what is there. Example gold or diamond mines, maybe.

On the GOATS Mat.25:32...to me this reads of national judgment. Jesus separating nations who were welfare-oriented towards the poorer,catastrophy-stricken nations versus the disaster untouched ones holding back to provide for...say refugees and Nth Koreans, Africans etc. with 'sanctions' which deprives the public but not the 'fat-cats'
It is the deliberate fault of the richest nations that we have such poverty elsewhere. The timeline touches on this subject after the illustration given of the 'wedding' of Mat.25:10, where unprofitable servants (or servant nations) are cast into the outer darkness. Also Rev.19:15,17...((I come across harsh but don't mean to))

LiberatedEagle

You mean this? It sounds more like a sermon, not a song, but maybe I got the wrong one.

The church is a business now. It has lost its ministry aspect, for the most part. There are still some who are faithful, but they are hard to find.

Have you heard the song by Keith Green? (I forgot the name of the song, now) about the goats and the sheep? great song.

I sure hope I make it.

I've done alot for others, but on the other hand, been very rebellious and blown it a few times.

The Lord gave me a word once about the poor, homeless, elderly, sick, drug addicts and single parents. Jesus weeps for them and He weeps the Church doesn't care that much (it seems) although they do sometimes. But generally, it's all about buying and selling the gospel (like in the money changer's temple) they are not helping the poor, the elderly, those in prison or single parents, much. Jesus weeps about that, too.

Hi all. This teaching is so amazing.

I Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Believers appear before the (Judgment Seat of Christ) shortly after being taken away. This is the first judgment mentioned. A false premise taught in many churches today says that the worst thing that can happen to a Christian at the Judgment Seat of Christ is simply the loss of rewards.

What are we going to have to confess before God? What are we going to have to give an account of;

1. We will give account of every word we speak.

Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

2. We will give an account of our lives lived.

I Timothy 5:24 Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after. 25 Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid

3. We will give an account of our stewardship.

Luke 16:1 And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. 2 And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward

4. Those in positions of authority will give an account.

Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

5. We will give an account of our witnessing.

Ezekiel 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

The Great White Throne Judgment (or "last judgment") of unbelievers at the end of the Millennium. Jesus will seperate the sheep (those saints coming out of the great tribulation) and the goats. John says in Revelation 20:6 that he who has a part in the first resurrection will escape the second death.

Revelation 20:11-15

“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

The put down of the final rebellion is followed by the Great White Throne Judgment of the unsaved. This is the second resurrection and second death. The first resurrection was that of the saved, while the second is that of the unsaved. The first death is the separation of the spirit from the body, while the second is eternal separation from God in the lake of fire.

These are the unsaved.

We know that these are the unsaved, because they are not part of the first resurrection (Rev. 20:6) and they are judged by their works.

We know that these are the unsaved because their names are not written in the book of life through faith in Jesus Christ. Compare Revelation 20:15. There are no exceptions mentioned.

I think too the fruits of the spirit need to be evident according to the NT, maybe not straight away, everyone's walk is different.

DEar Contender,

I appreciate all the effort you put into your comments.

I guess the point in this instance is that the goats just think they are saved, when they are not.
