Detention camps in U.S. for ‘emergencies’

While the stated purpose is mainly for emergency situations, I am concerned about the primary motivation voiced by Rep Hastings, equating gun control and hunting with racism. Will perceived, but not real, racist complaints place falsely accused people in detention centers? This is to “control” people?

Excerpt from below:

“If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention,” Hastings said, as reported by ABC News. “Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through.”

So private citizens who hunt, or own guns for protection, are considered racists, and need to be controlled in a detention center? Where is this going?

Rep. Alcee L. Hastings, D-Fla.

Rep. Alcee L. Hastings, D-Fla., has introduced to the House of Representatives a new bill, H.R. 645, calling for the secretary of homeland security to establish no fewer than six national emergency centers for corralling civilians on military installations.

The proposed bill, which has received little mainstream media attention, appears designed to create the type of detention center that those concerned about use of the military in domestic affairs fear could be used as concentration camps for political dissidents, such as occurred in Nazi Germany.

The bill also appears to expand the president’s emergency power, much as the executive order signed by President Bush on May 9, 2007, that – as WND reported – gave the president the authority to declare an emergency and take over the direction of all federal, state, local, territorial and tribal governments without even consulting Congress.

As WND also reported, DHS has awarded a $385 million contract to Houston-based KBR, Halliburton’s former engineering and construction subsidiary, to build temporary detention centers on an “as-needed” basis in national emergency situations.

According to the text of the proposed bill, the purpose of the National Emergency Centers is “to provide temporary housing, medical, and humanitarian assistance to individuals and families dislocated due to an emergency or major disaster.”

*** This part does not sound too bad.

Three additional purposes are specified in the text of the proposed legislation (sounds ok too):

1. To provide centralized locations for the purposes of training and ensuring the coordination of federal, state and local first responders;

2. To provide centralized locations to improve the coordination of preparedness, response and recovery efforts of government, private, not-for-profit entities and faith-based organizations;

3. To meet other appropriate needs, as defined by the secretary of homeland security.

The broad specifications of the bill’s language, however, contribute to concern that the “national emergency” purpose could be utilized by the secretary of homeland security to include any kind of situation the government wants to contain or otherwise control.

Rep. Hastings created controversy during the 2008 presidential campaign with his provocative comments concerning Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

*** HUH??? Why Sarah Palin, who hunts moose, a threat to Jews and blacks? Gee, she is a Christian too. Maybe she really is “dangerous.”

H.R. 645, which seeks to allocate $360 million for developing the emergency centers, has been referred to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and to the Committee on Armed Services.

  2. A.L. Hastings seems crazy to me. What made him think Palin would hurt Jews, and Blacks? Where did that come from? BLT?

This site may be seen as hate speech, and thrown into one of those camps. Watch your back, and don’t give out my real name when they knock down your door.

    Cheers.

  3. Hi Leatherneck,

Do not worry. You are just Leatherneck. That is all I know! :)

Anyhow, I do not see myself as the one with the hate problem. As you know, there is a variety of people on this site that say what they want, and I treat them nice in return.

  4. Of course you do not have a hate problem. Secular humanism states Christianity is hate speech. Therefore, this site may be targeted. The world hates G-d, and G-d’s orders.

I will be clinging to my religion and weapons.

  5. Hi leatherneck

Well, if being a christian automatically condemns me, then I stand condemned. I am not going to change who I am, or what I believe.

I try to represent the love and truth of Christ to others. They can either accept it, or reject it.

But at least that love and truth was offered, as our Lord commanded us. I have done my job. We are in times now, where good is called evil, and evil is called good. So, if I am accused of hate, that means they found love in me. Praise God.

  6. They mean, dislocated like the Japanese in WWII?
Of course these camps will come in very handy when the self-made crisis is going to come!
“Really, we had no idea this was going to happen!”

  7. I think the reasons are:
-passing law for confiscating civil weapons, for less resistance against NWO
-to play off the different ethnic/social groups against each other
    -stirring up racism
-mockery of Palin (also done in the controlled Massmedia)
    -distraction/changing off the important subjects

  8. Marianne,

    Hi hope you are well.

I’ve known about these camps for some time now. They really didn’t use a lot of money as milatary bases were transformed into detention centers. They also have metal chains to use in rail road cars.

Also consider that the government could release about three million people in conventional prisons who are in on drug charges. These people are not seen as a threat.

We have many differences it is true but I am confident God will work things out. I encourage you and all others to stay true to the faith.

    Love,

    John

  9. Hi John,

I hope the use of these centers is for the common good, for example, relocation in case of natural disaster.

The remark made about Sarah Palin and hunting, I found inappropriate, and suggestive of some more negative intent.

  10. We will find ourselves in these camps when we refuse the One World Religion that is about to be offered to all mankind. Things are already moving forward to bring all nations under this religion. Our rejection means we are enemies of the states and must be imprisoned.

  11. Hi Rev Williams,

Maybe we will be able to bring our bibles with us. The terrorists were allowed to have their Qurans. I think I will be stuck there for awhile, so I also hope I can bring my music with me too.

    All for HIM.!!!!

  12. I know that right Marianne. I try to memorize scripture and let it sink deep into me spirit so when the bible is not there I can quote the word to myself. The word will be in our heart’s sister, amen!

  13. Hastings is obviously a NUT. If all else fails, then use RACE to try and defame individuals for almost anything these days. This Ammunition Accountability Act and similar acts won’t pass, at least I hope not.

  14. These are new death camps. They are already built. They are many more that have been built by private industry and are hidden from view. You have to remember that the Death Camps in Nazi Germany were built and partly operated by private industries.

  15. Hi Phil

Well, this is the “change” we voted for.

Our “hope” now is to avoid it.

    marianne

  16. These are death camps I have done a lot of studied on them off of the computer.
I also have sighs that have colors on back of them that lead to different places.
I also have some on the men in black from head to toe.
some also on the black helicopters to.

I fill all this has got to do with the new world order.
against gods people the ones that won’t worship the beast.
    or take the mark

  17. ve been thinking about this marshal law how thy going to get people to go a long with this?

Thy may start to steal and maybe even kill. OH of course the beleavers believe on feeding them helping people in need.
Thy could kill two birds with one shot remove then both.

Thy would live a better life with them thieves and crazy Christians that believe in a god that don’t excess

    • Hi Flybird,

I think if there was some emergency, the government would tell people that they had to evacuate, or leave, the area for their own safety….this way, they would be willing to leave.

  18. I have a very good question is.. Why would everyone says ” G-d” instead of saying, ” God “? Just curious. :)

    Blessings

    • Hi Tamera

It is a Jewish tradition to not say the name of God or spell it out. It is a sign of reverence for God and his name. It is opposite of so many, who use God’s name in vain, and for profanity.

Federal Agency Says It Can Search Your Home Without A Warrant 210509FCC The Federal Communications Commission has confirmed that its own guidelines claim the right to enter and search your home without a warrant at any time of the day or night.

If you have devices in your home that function using radio frequency energy, such as a Wi-Fi router or a cordless telephone, the FCC claims it can inspect them if it suspects they are being operated on an unlicensed spectrum.

“Anything using RF energy — we have the right to inspect it to make sure it is not causing interference,” FCC spokesman David Fiske has told Wired magazine.

Sorry for such bad news, but under so many corrupt govts. anything is possible. The Nobility of Europe and England know. Prince Phillip recommended to “cull the herd” of 6 bn back to
    4 bn. …won’t be long !!

Lord Jesus help us find lost and searching souls and have mercy on all of us undeserving individuals. Glory be to THEE.

  21. On Churches: The Dict. explains, that the word ‘Church’ only means GROUP, be that relig. or civil !!…..Semantics nor buildings mean nothing to God, they are not holy. Our bodies should be his temple 1Cor.3:16 “know ye not that YE are the temple of God.” Mat.18:20 says the smallest church is “..where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in their midst of them”. I say this because I learnt more on internet than all the 30 or so years in churches and sects.
