Jupiter Signs
-
Jesus said there would be signs in the heavens in the last days. Can events on Jupiter have any significance for us?

Jupiter is one of the ‘wandering stars’, originally one of the 7 planets (called the inner planets)
-
Jupiter is also known as:
1. in Hebrew is Tzedek, meaning ‘righteousness’
2. King David Planet
3. Also known as the Messiah
4. Largest planet
-
Jupiter’s first sign
Jewish tradition teaches that when a heavenly object strikes Jupiter it means trouble is coming to Israel.
On July 16, 1994 (Av 9- Tisha B’Av, the most dreaded day on the Jewish calendar), Shoemaker Levi Comet broke into 21 pieces, bombarding Jupiter for 7 days, each impact stronger than a nuclear bomb.
At that time secret talks were going on in Oslo, Norway to exchange Israel’s land for peace (Oslo Accords).
At that time Jupiter was in the sign of Libra, ‘The Scales’, often referred to as ‘the light’.
The adjacent constellation was Scorpio- the symbolism was of Satan (the anti-messiah) trying to get the light. [At that time in the heavens the birth pains really began.]

Jupiter’s second sign
Recently, Jupiter has not been taking hits from heavenly objects, but there is a HUGE SIGN in the heavens on the planet that represents Israel.
I have attached a few lines from the article today regarding Jupiter.
Please notice the 2 times it happened before.
(1) 1973 was the Yom Kippur War which led to the Geneva Peace Conference.
(2) The Madrid Peace Conference happened in 1991 (with James Baker, who has replacement theology).

From Astronomy.com today:
One of Jupiter’s major features — its South Equatorial Belt — is gone.
And although the current disappearance probably resulted from intense storm activity within Jupiter’s atmosphere, planetary scientists find themselves at a loss to explain what the trigger was.
They also don’t know how long the belt will remain invisible.
This isn’t the first time this phenomenon has occurred, and it probably won’t be the last.
The South Equatorial Belt (SEB) disappeared in 1973 and 1991.
“I’ve been watching Jupiter for 4 decades,” said Astronomy Contributing Editor Raymond Shubinski, “and I’ve seen Jupiter with only one belt at least twice before.
It’s a jarring sight if you’re familiar with the planet.
It’s like seeing Jupiter without one of its large satellites, but a belt can stay hidden for months.”
-
Jupiter’s third sign
On September 21, the planet will appear bigger and brighter than at any time in 47 years.
September 9 is the Feast of Trumpets, Rosh Hashanah 5771
September 18 is Yom Kippur, Day of Atonement
September 22 (eve) to 30 is Feast of Tabernacles

Watch and Pray
Jesus commanded us to WATCH (Mark 13:33-37).
He said there would be signs in the heavens in the last days (Luke 21:11).
Sunday is the Christian observance of Pentecost.
It is also the Global Day of Prayer. To have those two events together is extremely rare.
This is a great opportunity to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem (Ps 122:6; Isaiah 62:1)

My uncle has a PhD in chemical engineering, my whole family including myself are fans of Steven Hawkings and read lots of books on outter space. My son loves anything to do with planets and my uncle wrote a Thesis when he went to harvard school. Everything that I have been watching and looking at says that everything with the planets is going normal. Maybe there is something I missed?
hi Nisi
In general, everything is fine. This post is about small variations from what is normally seen.

Hello there and greetings!
I guess you’ve heard that Jupiter took another hit on June 3rd (yesterday).
Here’s a link:

hi Blue Cranberry
Thanks for the update. There may be a correlation after all. There is a lunar eclipse due June 11th, and traditionally, this means trouble for Israel. With this happening, I expect more trouble with the flotilla business, and more antisemitism.
Hi Marianne,
I’m sorry but reading the clouds of Jupiter is akin to reading tea leaves, the I Ching or tarot cards. It borders on astrology and here is what God has to say about that:
Jer 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
It has been 16 years since the comet strike and no-one has presented any kind of evidence that that foretold any events on earth.
And predicting “more of the same” doesn’t count.
We are all anxious to see prophecy fulfilled, but this is like grasping at straws. Do you really think that God would tie the second coming of Jesus to the cloud belt of Jupiter? To a God that could part the Red Sea and destroy Sodom and Gomorra this seems a bit lame, dont‘cha think?
I think we might be insulting God’s intelligence or his power when we look to such insignificant events to be the precursor to Christ’s return.
There are plenty of events right here on earth (such as the signing of the EU treaty last December) that are fulfilling prophesy right before our eyes. If you don’t see these things then perhaps you need to re-evaluate your interpretation.
And to all of you who plan to visait Antarctica to see the upcoming eclipse, bring your cameras and be ready for something beautiful and spectacular, but don’t count on seeing Jesus anytime soon.
Guess who the “wise men” were…..astrologers…this is the translation in Greek! Which does make sense since they said..”we saw the star in the sky…”
There is not much we know for sure about the magi. The word “magician” comes from that root. They knew prophecy and astronomy but whether they were in the business of telling fortunes remains to be proved.
In the summer of 2BC there was a close conjunction of Venus Jupiter and the star Regulus (Alpha Leonis) whose name means “King”.
Perhaps this was the sign they saw that started their journey to Bethlehem, but I believe the “star of Bethlehem” was a divine beam of light to lead the wise men to the manger once they arrived in town. I don’t think it was an actual star still visible today.
I don’t know if that conjunction will soon be repeated but if it was the sign in the heavens 2000 years ago perhaps it will be the next sign.
Something to think about anyway.
In the predawn all week, Jupiter is a brilliant jewel high in the southern sky and impossible to miss — nothing nearby is even close to being as bright.

Jupiter up close and personal
This coming Monday, the solar system’s largest planet will pass within 368 million miles of our home. It’s been almost 50 years since Jupiter has been this close to Earth.

Jupiter gets this close every 40 years or so and stuff strikes it all the time. Not a very spectacular sign if it were one. Like saying there will be big rainstorms in Seattle. Not a big deal except to sensationalists who want to make mountains out of mole hills.
Don’t tell me, He caught a single fish and fed the whole country.
Did you get some? How was it. Maybe the people in the asylum just told you it was from Jesus because you went off your meds.
Just wonderin’
