The 7 Year End Time Covenant in Days and Years

I took the timeline fragments in Daniel and pieced them together to form not just 7 year view, but one that spans 1335 years since the current desolation. The comparison is interesting.

I looked at 2 time frames:

1. Short - The book of Daniel mentions the antichrist (end time enemy of Israel) and different aspects of his “one week” covenant with Israel. I tried to reconcile a 2400 day fragment with the 2520 days for the total 7 years, as well as a 1335 day fragment at the time of the time of trouble.

2. Long – The current Temple Mount is already desecrated with the Dome of the Rock. Daniel 12:11-12 was used to determine how much longer the Dome would be there.

Here are the results for the Short 7 year timeline (first I show the time fragments, then I summarize them):

The traditional time for the Jews to celebrate the cleansing of the Temple is Chanukah, which occurs about the 2^nd or 3^rd week in December. Notice that the cleansing starts at “C.” It is complete by “F,” 45 days later.

If God was following the Jewish calendar, then backing up 45 days from December puts the end, and therefore the beginning, of the Tribulation at the end of October, or early November. Keep this in mind as you look at the Long timeline.

Here are the results for the Long timeline:

Notice that the Yom Kippur War occurred during the entire month of October, 1973. The 6 day war in 1967 allowed Israel to reclaim the temple mount. A few days after the war over 200,000 Jews flocked to the Temple Mount and Western Wall in the first mass Jewish pilgrimage since the destruction of Temple in 69 C.E.

However, the Israeli government subsequently left the Islamic wakf in control of the site, although it remains under Israeli sovereignty. Because of this set-up, the site has become a flash-point between Israel and the Muslim world, especially when violent acts are perpetrated at the site.

Since that time, Israel has been attempting to continue to defend and “cleanse” its land of threats, and maintain some sort of access to the Temple Mount area.

Knowing that the cleansing is prophetically finished after 45 days (or years), here are a few interesting calculations:

*** The Dome of the Rock was erected between 685 and 691 CE, which covers a 7 year period, inclusive. I used the early date for the above calculations. So the calculations are estimated times.

1967 + 45 = 2012

1973 + 45 = 2018

1973 + 7 (for the 691 CE date) + 45 = 2025

If the yearly calculations are applicable to this prophecy, then the tribulation and the cleansing of the Temple Mount are would be finished by 2018-2025.

Also, if the Yom Kippur War date (October, 1973) is significant, then this would confirm a late fall- early winter onset for the 7 year covenant period in the near future. About 45 days after the end of the Yom Kippur war is Chanukah!

The Messiah is supposed to come in a Jubilee year. I think the next one is in 2018. Maybe this speculation has some reasonable grounds. Otherwise, it will be another 50 years.

****Note here:  I actually follow a pre-wrath mindset at this time, rather than a pre-tribulation ( 7 year) mindset.  I am not sure about why “the child” in Rev 12 (representing Jesus, and also maybe the church) goes to heaven before the woman (Israel) goes to the wilderness for the first 1260 days.  This might indicate an early rapture.  Notice that she flees to the wilderness a second time before the end of Rev 12. when Satan attacks her.  This particular study is not meant to solve the question of the timing of the rapture, but to look at other events, and the timing.

***  I have been thinking.  There is nothing in scripture that I see that says the covenant is a peace treaty with Israel.  It does not mention Israel.   The covenant could just be an agreement among Israel’s enemies, to gang up on her … Click here for more
