Why isn’t Jesus back yet?

The last recorded words of Jesus were “Surely I come quickly.” That was 2000 years ago. So why hasn’t’ He come back yet?
-
Rev 22:20 He [Jesus] which testifies these things says, “Surely I come quickly.” Amen…
-
Jesus did not make a mistake when He said this. He was ready. But the church wasn’t.
God makes decisions sometimes on how man is responding. He moves quickly when He sees faith, and He stops when He sees unbelief. This was dramatically seen when God delivered His people out of Egypt, and was ready to move them into the Promised Land. Then, they rebelled and complained, and expressed unbelief. To punish them for their unbelief, He made them wander in the desert for 40 years. When they expressed unbelief and rebellion against His commandments, God also sent in their enemies to punish them, and they ended up several times, in captivity.
Man has created his own delays. Scripture says that if we draw near to God, He will draw near to us. The problem has never been God.
The early church was on fire for God. People were spreading the gospel, and many times giving up their lives for their faith. Multitudes were coming to faith in Jesus. Not even persecution, or death by wild lions, and could stop the conversions. The world exploded with a new faith and power.
The sick were being healed, the dead raised from the dead, the blind could see, the deaf could hear, the lame could walk, the lepers were healed, the sinners were forgiven. The power of God flowed, and people ministered in all the gifts of the Holy Spirit. God seemed to have a critical number of salvations in mind, and would return soon, if that number was met. The world was no longer the same, and Jesus was ready to return to a glorious church.
But man’s unbelief, sin and disobedience became prevalent. The gospel stopped. Faith stopped. Paganism, materialism, and carnality crept into the church, including the Jezebel spirit. The church had lost its glory, because it left its first love, and became satisfied with worldly definitions of success.
Jesus lost His bride. Selfishness and pride replaced love. People quenched the Spirit.
Christians’ rejection of Israel has also been a factor, in my opinion.
The return of Jesus as the Jewish Messiah is dependent upon the Jewish remnant coming back to their homeland. There have been countless times when the Jews could have returned, but were hindered by the Christians and Muslims.
Anti-Semitism over the 2000 years blocked the necessary return of the remnant, which grew smaller and smaller, during long periods of persecution. Christians failed to accept the fact that Jesus was not just returning for them, but for His people, Israel as well. Jesus wept over Jerusalem. He said he could not come back until they blessed his coming. How could they do this, if Jesus represented suffering and persecution to them? They were afraid of Him, not in love with Him.
Christianity, in its pure form, is good and wonderful. But the Christians have failed as Christians. They put the world through the Dark Ages literally with their lack of understanding, and coldness. Banning the common use of the Bible, and keeping it out of the common language, and in the hands of the corrupt few, also prevented the spreading of the gospel. Shunning the command, “to the Jew first, and then the Gentile” was an act of rebellion and hatred. Sterile doctrine, and legalism, replaced the passionate love of God.
Jesus will return when we demonstrate the same passion that the early church did. He may not see it in most, or many of us. But He is looking for those who love Him.
He is not returning for the church. The church is man’s business.
He is returning for his beloved Bride. The bride is His passion.
The bride is the one who waits breathlessly for her beloved Prince. She adoringly obeys his commands, because she wants to. The covenant is in her heart, not on stone, or in a book. She is ready to die for the One she loves. She is willing to forsake everything to be with Him. He is in her thoughts always, and on her bed she thinks of Him. She is filled with the fragrance of his Spirit. She cannot live without Him. Every day she looks for Him, and calls out His name. She feels alone without Him, and cries for His presence. Her prayers are not just words. They are acts of adoration, worship and communion.
Jesus cannot come back until He can find His bride again on earth – the one He lost 2000 years ago, and he hears the blessing of His name by His people Israel.
May He find his bride soon, and may He hear the words He has longed to hear for centuries!!!!

Dear Marianne,
Jesus actually said “I return suddenly”. Look it up – there is a whole discussion on it somewhere. It boils down to the fact that the Greek word used means quickly, soon, and suddenly, and with the context of the words it means suddenly in this case.
Keep on trucking
Ron
Hi Ron,
I guess it would have sounded better if he had spoken in the future tense, rather than present tense. Instead of I come quickly ( suddenly)…it would be more realistic if he had said I WILL come suddenly….so much for translations. Thanks for your insight.

Jayzus isn’t coming back. He is a myth like all the other virgin born crucified nutjobs. Only imbeciles believe in fairtales as truth.
Hi Jake
How do you know he is not coming back? Can you prove this? Or do you just go by stuff you read on the internet? So far, Jesus has kept every promise he made.
jake, idk who you are, but Jesus is coming back and he is knocking at yor heart and you just need to open your heart and accept him.
Jesus told the people that some of them would not taste death until they saw him return. He also made it very clear he came only for jews and referred to a sick little Samaritan child as a dog. Even the pope has announced that he now believed Jesus and John the Baptist were both Essenes, the group that produced and hid the dead sea scrolls. They were another fanatical apocalytic group of jews whe thought they were the new chosen. If Jesus was an Essenes and one of the 3 messiahs this goofy group was expecting, he was a radical lunatic at best. That would explain his family thinking he was out of his mind and him telling his band of goons to arm themselves at all costs. It would also explain why the Roman army took 600 men to arrest ‘one’ man. He had much more that a few disciples that night, not to mention the naked teen he had been humping. If the remainder of those scrolls are ever published the world is in for a surprise. Doesn’t it piss you people off that the RCC has refused for 60 years to release much of them? It was only in the early 90′s that the Hunington Library released the photo copies they had to the public so all translators worldwide could have access to them. Some of the original translators, most were RC priests, developed drinking problems, left the team, left the church and married. All due to what they saw in the scrolls. One of them who was also the lead translator was Josef Milik. Hell, look it up! John Strugnel was the translation editor for 40 years and he also developed quite a drinking problem. He had one too many before an interview and stated that the religion of the jews was a horrible religion. Look it up! He was fired immediately. If there is nothing to hide what is being hid? Wake the hell up.
BTW, I find it somewhat repulsive to read the writings of men who claim to be the ‘bride’ of a dead man and proclaim love for him. More naked men in the garden huh? Have you ‘fellows’ picked out your gowns and veils yet?
Hi Jake
I think many priests, as well as other people, have developed drinking problems.
The content of the scrolls is a different issue.
It was proper to chastise the priest for his antisemitism.
The scrolls are only original texts, or valid copies, of the Old Testament, which is available to read today.
True, the Jews were not always what they should have been, but neither are any of us.

this is to jake, ever think that different people understand things differently? some of us know that Gods word is true, yet you have to be careful reading outside of Gods word unless you know how to discern
“The early Church was on fire for God” I think I would much rather give up all my modern conveniences and go back in time to live in such a world where people were spreading the gospels and giving up their lives for their faith. Where the world was on fire with faith and love. It would probably have its share of hardships and difficulties but for me it would be a better world to live in. Still God wishes us to be born and live in todays world and we have to honour and accept his will for us.
Jake is asking for something!!!!! ….and You’l get it:):):): that is every believer and JESUS prayer for you to be saved..Some will just have to hit it hard for you to come and accept the knowledge of GOD!!!!! Even the those in “Hell” know that Jesus is Just…Even so the dead could do a much better job in explaining that Jesus is return and who are much ALIVE then YOU and ME are Today!!!!
of course he’s not coming back – he was just a man, and nobody’s cracked that problem yet. There are no supernatural beings, get with the real – you obviously have minds, use them!
The enemy has conspired against this great God fearing nation and the nations of the earth:
There is none to stand in the gap and intercede for the people of the Lord. All seek their own gain. People roam over the mountains like sheep without a Sheppard. But the Lord God of Hosts will not allow the mischief of the evil one.
The people relied on Corporate America for an unfailing check and have not prepared for these times. Corporate America became greedy, therefore transferring all the work the people had to places where they can profit not a 100% but over a 1000% if possible. They used the people to extract the sketches of what it took to build this great nation. Your children engineered the trains, the factories, the mining machines. Yet all has been taken, and the people are left to be slaves to greed and be consumed.
The Government needs complimentary support we can provide. Governance is countered by selfish interests, legal manipulation and corruption. Blindly and unwilling they have been used in the exodus of Jobs, manufacturing and wealth to greener pastures.
Where there is no vision the people perish. The country suffers for lack of knowledge to decipher the times. Where is the Church, the Body of Christ, and the Leadership of the Church?
Church arise encourage the people. The state does not want to stand with you but you can stand for the People. Provide Manufacturing skills, help reopen factories, restore trade with developing countries. Quit criticizing the Government; use the little support they provide grow the country. “Occupy till I come” said the Lord Jesus Christ, engage for God’s sake.
Watch what you listen in the News-media; Despite our advanced education, there has never been a people so misinformed as ours. Distortion of facts and control of knowledge as this is worst than Communist propaganda in the Cold War era.
Help the people with raw material procurement, import and exporting. The world still buys and sells, or else China would not still be in business, we alone willow in politics and speculative financial demagogies. You can still afford homes, if only there were jobs and home values were not manipulated. China prizes our products, Africa, Asia and Mediterranea still need what we make, and Europe wants a competitor.
Gather your strength, resources and knowledge. For the sake of the body of Christ, the Land and the People we will provide engineers, researchers and developers in any field there is. Engage for sake of the people. Contact us: vpinc@mail.com
Yeshua church cannot be found in the world today, that’s how little the church is that exists today, the Bible refers to Christ followers today as the Little Flock. This mean that the Church today is being deceived. The true followers of Christ is so small they cannot be found in this world of a mess. The Church is no where in line with the true word of God. That’s why the Bible also says, even the very elect will be deceived.
God Bless.
hi sandy
True, as a group, we are shrinking.
sandy
can you elaborate on your beliefs regarding what the little flock consists of?
I am the bride of Jesus. I am the Madonna and my son Michael is the holy child. The Madonna and child are a separate entity from Mary and Jesus. Jesus is returning for the MAdonna and Child. He is returning to marry me.
The pope is aware. Jesus waits as I make myself ready. I have been guided through heaven and hell too. I saw each of the 7 deadly sins. He took special time to show me an extreme case of vanity. I am really only comfortable leaving my house now with my face covered. I am the woman that sits next to him in the last supper painting. I am a humble woman who knows that I am only worthy through JEsus’ love for me and for my child too. I spent all of my life in service work for Jesus. This is true. As I said the catholic church is aware and they have watched me closely for the past nine years. Pray for my son Michael. This is real. If you wish to contact me only with serious cases pls. do. I have seen the Lord. He has come to my bedside and he is coming shortly. Sincerely, Colleeharding@gmail.com
Um…… geez I’m not sure how to break this news to ya, but there are no women in Leonardo’s piece titled “The Last Supper”.
The Last Supper specifically portrays the reaction given by each apostle when Jesus said one of them would betray him.
All twelve apostles have different reactions to the news, with various degrees of anger and shock. The apostles are identified from a manuscript (The Notebooks of Leonardo Da Vinci p. 232) with their names found in the 19th century. (Before this, only Judas, Peter, John and Yeshua (Jesus) were positively identified.) From left to right, according to the apostles heads:
* Bartholomew, James son of Alphaeus and Andrew form a group of three, all are surprised.
* Judas Iscariot, Peter and John form another group of three. Judas is wearing green and blue and is in shadow, looking rather withdrawn and taken aback by the sudden revelation of his plan. He is clutching a small bag, perhaps signifying the silver given to him as payment to betray Jesus, or perhaps a reference to his role within the 12 disciples as treasurer.
He is also tipping over the salt shaker. This may be related to the near-Eastern expression to “betray the salt” meaning to betray one’s Master. He is the only person to have his elbow on the table and his head is also horizontally the lowest of anyone in the painting. Peter looks angry and is holding a knife pointed away from Christ, perhaps foreshadowing his violent reaction in Gethsemane during Jesus’ arrest. The youngest apostle, John, appears to swoon.
* Yeshua, (Jesus).
* Thomas, James the Greater and Philip are the next group of three. Thomas is clearly upset; James the Greater looks stunned, with his arms in the air. Meanwhile, Philip appears to be requesting some explanation.
* Matthew, Jude Thaddeus and Simon the Zealot are the final group of three. Both Jude Thaddeus and Matthew are turned toward Simon, perhaps to find out if he has any answer to their initial questions.
There are 13 individuals in the painting and not one of them is a intended to be understood as a woman. Sorry to be the one to burst your bubble regarding this, but hey, look on the bright side, you can continue on with respects to the rest of your fantasy to your hearts content.
SIGH.
