  1. I remember hearing something when I was 17 years old and my son was just a few months old. I woke up at 6 am and heard something that sounded like a trumpet, a really really loud one. I ran, grabbed my son (cuz I knew that God would take inants and children, if he was there I was fine). At the time I was in foster care because of some issues at my home and my foster mom told me that God was trying to probably say something to me. I think if you heard it you wouldn’t be the only one.

    • Hi Denise,
      Greetings in the Lord Yeshua,

I learned in my Hebraic Bible study that the sound of the shofar is the “voice of God”.

  2. Greetings in the name of Yeshua,

I enjoyed your little taster of what this trump may sound like and I bet it felt like you were almost going to heaven!

It certainly seems that many are eagerly anticipating this great event – including myself! I’ve recently completed a video project spanning 3H45M covering this topic in great length, and in the light of recent discoveries, it seems 1 Thess. 5 is now true more than ever. (But ye brethren are not in darkness that this day should overtake you as a thief in the night”

It is true that no man knows the day or the hour, but when you understand that Jesus who was a Jew, spoke to a Jewish audience, and made a statement pertaining to Jewish customs when He said “no man know the day nor the hour”, you’ll understand that He was first of all relating to a Jewish Wedding and secondly a Jewish Feast Day, thus TELLING us the season in which to expect His return.

I have a short video clip on my site at about this, but in essence, Jesus was first of all referencing a Jewish Wedding Term.

Let me elaborate – In Jewish customs, the father (parents) arranges the marriage for the son. The son had to “go and prepare a place” for his bride and only when the father gave his approval to the prepared place, did the father release the son to “go get” his bride.

The problem is if they wanted to make any arrangements like the calendar, bookings, RSVP’s etc. they had a problem as to the wedding date. When asking the young man when his wedding was, he would always reply – ” only my father knows” because the father was the only one who knew the date he would release his son
    to go get his bride.

So this statement by Jesus was referring to HIS future wedding date that only His father knew off.

Second, the Jews celebrate a holy feast known as the Feast Of Trumpets – This is celebrated on the NEW MOON on the first day of the seventh month of Tishiri on the Jewish Calendar.

This feast is synonymous with the rapture event, and the very name of the feast says what it’s all about – it’s about the blowing of trumpets. Not only that – 1 Thess 4 vs 16-18 and 1 Cor 15:51-53 talks about a LAST TRUMP being blown and then describes the rapture event in the same passage.

In the Jewish Wedding Custom, when the bridegroom was ready to go get his bride, it was always announced with the blow of a trumpet – known as the last trump.

The first trump was blown after the bridegroom gave his bride a betrothal contract, and only if she accepted his proposition.
The last trump was blown when she was “carried away” at night by her groom and his entourage, which also included 10 virgins which carried tall poles with oil lamps on top – that’s where you get the parable of the 10 virgins from.

Incidentally while writing this comment, I just heard cars outside my home sounding their horns… because of a wedding being celebrated… (Wow…)

The horns/trumpet/ shofar is used to announce a wedding! Maybe you have the same custom (of blowing your cars horns) in your country, but it seems this not something knew!

To further explain the term no man knows the day or the hour – because the Feast Of Trumpets are celebrated on the NEW MOON, it means two witnesses had to go and and see when the first sliver of the moon would become visible.

Once they spotted the first little sliver of the moon, they knew it was time to start the feast. They would then make fires on the mountains to let all the Jews know to start observing the feast, but because the Jewish day starts at sunset, and because most people (just like we do) sleep at night, most Jews
were not aware the feast had started until the next day.

That meant the feast could fall on either one or the other day of Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year). So this was literally a feast where NO MAN KNEW THE DAY OR THE HOUR when the feast would start.

So when Jesus was saying you won’t know the day or the hour, He was identifying the exact Jewish Fest he would return on.
The parable of the fig tree also captures the essence of knowing the season. The word season in Hebrew is Mo-Ade and it means a divine appointment, as well a feast day.

So Jesus was saying you must know the divine appointment on the appointed feast (Lev 23)

Now it becomes clear why Paul said in 1 Thess 5 “but ye brethren are not in darkness that this day should overtake you as a thief in the night — because you know the divine appointment and the feast!

When ever it says He comes as a thief in the night, look at who he is directing this statement and you’ll find he is NOT talking to everyone. He is making that statement to those who are NOT watching.

Matt 25 is a classical example of this where we see the 5 wise virgins enter into the marriage supper of the lamb (the event after the rapture), and scripture says after they entered, the door was SHUT – Then the other 5 foolish virgins came knocking and he then says to THEM (the foolish virgins) – watch

YE therefore, for I will come upon YOU as a thief in the night if you do not watch.

He’s not directing that statement to the wise – they were already inside — he’s talking to the foolish virgins.
Jesus fulfilled ALL of the Spring Festivals of the Jews (Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits and Pentecost) TO THE DAY and He’ll fulfill ALL the FALL festivals to the day, with the next feast to prophetically be fulfilled being the feast of trumpets!

This study is a lengthy but very interesting one, and we have captured some very surprising facts concerning the rapture in this 3H45 Min DVD at

I can’t wait to kiss the feet my Lord and savior Jesus Christ, and just to tell how much I LOVE HIM and how much I appreciate what He has done on the cross of Calvary!

Now is the time to serve Him even more and to witness your socks off! and if

you don’t know Jesus, Boy do you ever wanna hurry to get your affairs in order!

    God bless!

  3. Hello again.
Today I ask for forgiveness of my previous comment on reptilians and etc, I am a new christian and now I am learning more and more things about the revelation and those who receive visions and dreams. I’m sorry I didn’t know better please forgive me. How ever I do stand firm on the fear portion not to have fear of following events. God Bless you all!!!

  4. Whenever I hear the word “Trumpet” I don’t picture a shofar. But I have learned that this is what the Bible is referring to.

I looked for a good video that would demonstrate maybe what you heard. You tell us. What did it sound like? Did it sound anything like the sound he is demonstrating here? He does a good job of blowing this shofar. I’m sure it’s not easy.

I couldn’t sleep either this morning.

    • hi kitti

The sound I heard was similar in tone to this horn. It seems like it was a set of long blasts, none short. No “fancy” notes. Sort of a plain military sound, but soft.

  5. I like this post marianne! I emailed it to my friends. shofar has a pretty sound.

  6. Just for your records, the trump you heard was not heard here in California. Might have been just for you. So far no hail and fire mixed with blood but summer is here and its possible a third of the tree here will burn again like they did several years ago.
    I’ll keep you posted.

  7. hi James

If you “Click here for more” and go to the explanatory page, you will see that someone in California did hear the horn, within a week of when I did. He heard it on Shavuot, Pentecost:

I to heard a trump(horn) sound and thought it was a warning signal I used to hear when there was incoming rockets or morters in Viet Nam. It went on for what seemed like a minute or two. I got up out of my chair and went outside and I kept hearing it. I live in Davis, Ca. and nobody else seemed to notice it or was outside listening? The first thing I thought of, was that the trumpet of the LORD? It was right around Penecost or feast of weeks! I hope and pray the LORD comes soon!

Phil Nelson said this on May 28, 2010 at 11:06 pm

    • I want to hear it too!

    • When did you hear the trumpet marianne? I was reading the below article and their reference to the oil spill beginning 6 weeks ago and the “seas turning red as blood”…and then I looked up the reference between gulf oil spill and the Holy Bible to see where it would apply in the scriptures and this is what I came across..:<>
      King James Version
1And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

2And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. (ok, so not there YET)

3And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. (Are we here NOW)

4And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. 5And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. 6For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. 7And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments. (

My heart is broken over all the animals that are washing to shore….G-D help us!

      • hi lyndsey

I heard the trumpet on May 28th about 4:30 am.

Those are the vials you are mentioning….I think they come later on….this is local right now….but if it continues, it could play a part in fulfillment of prophecy later….

for now, consider the black horse of famine and pale horse of death. The toxicity of the spill could destroy food, water and kill people if it continues.

  8. Well that is interesting, but not alarming. Not yet anyway. I thing the true trump will be heard by everyone on earth at the same time followed by immediate action, There will be no doubting its meaning. But keep us posted just in case.

    • Very true. For some reason, this happened. God deals with each of us in a different way. He says he never does anything unless he first reveals it ahead of time.

So, to have a gentle “warning” is to help us know His coming is close, that we should be ready, and to also give us courage and encouragement to continue until he comes.

  9. Did your heart skip a beat when you heard the trumpet? Keep us posted Marianne…I remember in one post you explained the feast of trumpets and how for 30 days the trumpet is sounded daily to warn of the upcoming feast and then on the 31st day? the trumpet is blown 30 times?….Is this what Andre is talking about regarding Jesus’ return? I pray that I’ll be able to hear it too….

    • lyndsey

I was beyond surprised. I was stunned in unbelief. The Shofar was sounded on Mt Sinai when the 10 commandments were given. This is the feast of Shavuot, or the original Pentecost.

The first time, the shofar was blown by the Lord, and the people trembled so much that Moses had to go by himself.

Exd 19:16 ¶ And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that [was] in the camp trembled.

Now, they blow the shofar at this time as a commemoration. It was consistent with scripture that I would hear this at Pentecost time.

      • That is incredible! Since this is the first Shofar sounded, how many more do we have to go? I remember your explaining about the shofar being sounded daily for 30 days to announce the upcoming feast of trumpets?…what does it mean that it was sounded on Pentecost? Am I making sense?….I keep thinking about the solar/lunar eclipses being on G-ds’ holy days 2 years in a row this upcoming 2014/2015. Could it be that we only have 4 to 5 years left?!

        • My thoughts with the solar/lunar eclipses as mentioned above, are this: In Matthew 24 Jesus describes the eclipses by saying that they will occur AFTER the tribulation. Now does that mean that the 1st 3.5 years of tribulation begin in 2011/2012 and then G-ds wrath begins AFTER the eclipses? OR, does this mean that the tribulation started in 2007/2008? For the sake of arguement, lets “assume” that there is great significance in the upcoming eclipses in 2014/2015 being on Holy Days (I believe that there is)…..then we can use this as a timeline right? It is 2010, Holy Day is Pentecost and your hearing a Shofar!…..Sept 2008 the HS said “it has begun”…..I think, with the advantage of the internet and this blog, we should all “list” what is happening and being told to each of us by the HS to get a more clear picture of what is to come and how soon it will be here….

          • If you look on page 2,

you will see that someone else heard it too.

            this is a confirmation.

We may be in the quiet period of the time of trouble…..first 3 1/2 years…the beginning is 220 days (7 months) where “nothing” seems to happen….

Keep watching what happens to Israel…..right now, all nations are turning against it. This is prophetic:

Part I – what is developing now.

Zec 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Zec 12:8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem ; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David [shall be] as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

Zec 12:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem .

Part 2 – what happens next

Eze 38:14 ¶ Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus says the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwells safely, shall you not know [it]?

Eze 38:15 And you shall come from thy place out of the north parts, you, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

Eze 38:16 And you shall come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring you against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

Eze 38:18 ¶ And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel , says the Lord GOD, [that] my fury shall come up in my face.

            Eze 38:19 For in my jealousy [and] in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel ;

Eze 38:22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that [are] with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

            • well….now that Turkey is most assuredly “ticked off”….

              • Turkey used terrorists to send “humanitarian aid”…

                Israel faced a no-win situation.

It was entitled by international law to deny entry to a flotilla of boats seeking to breach a military embargo against an Iranian-backed terrorist entity which proudly boasts of its determination to destroy Israel.

Hamas is indisputably a terrorist group whose evil charter explicitly calls on the faithful to continue killing Jews until none survive.

It is the ultimate hypocrisy for democratic countries to challenge Israel’s action. Could one conceive of American or European forces permitting convoys of unchecked “humanitarian aid” to be transferred to Taliban strongholds?

                this is entrapment….

                • I totally agree with you. The news seems to be one sided these days…making assumptions without facts and trying to convince us with lies. I have noticed this more and more over the years.

        • The eclipses may or may not be significant, coinciding on feast days. Eclipses are common….so we have to wait and see…however, I have entertained this notion……

God sounded the heavenly shofar on Pentecost to announce HIMSELF coming down to give the 10 commandments……

          5 years might be a generous estimate….just my opinion…..maybe I am wrong…

  10. Hey nice site…check out these videos of Jewish people and the roots of Christianity…I thought you might be interested

  11. Here’s one that surprised me about the roots of Christianity…

  12. Marianne;
I love your web sight and I have corresponded with you in the past. To give you a little background, I live in Central Florida , have been a Christian for 30 years and I have studied prophecy for the last 25 years. I was so very excited and surprised when I read your e-mail, because I to heard the trumpet. I am not sure of the exact date but I know it was either May 27th , May 28th or May 29th. I was awaken around 3:30 A.M. and not able to fall back to sleep. I was expecting company for Memorial Holiday so I was lying there planning the event, All of a sudden, I heard the sound of a distant trumpet. I remember my first thought was it was a shofar, I know what a shofar sounds like so I knew the sound. I sat up in bed and looked out the bedroom door. I would have gotten out of bed to check where it was comming from, but It only lasted for about 6 to 7 seconds. I was the only one in my house who heard it. I was not sure what to make of it. I have been pondering over your e-mail and I to have come to the conclusion that it was a warning. I have been anxiously waiting the rapture for several years now but when I heard the sharfor I did not think rapture so I do believe it was a warning. I believe Florida is not the best place for my family and Me to live so I am looking to relocate. I am just waiting to hear from the Lord for direction. Thank you for all of your insight. God Bless you always. Looking forward to meeting you in heaven.
    Your friend in Christ

    • Hi Susie,

You heard the trumpet about when I did….May 28th. You also bring up something significant….it was right before Memorial Day, a day we remember those who died for our freedoms, ie in wars.

While the trumpet might indicate also the rapture is close, we also have to consider why the rapture occurs.

The Lord will not rapture us on a nice sunny day when all is good with the world. He will be rescuing us from something dangerous, which means those dangers are now upon us.

I do not think Florida is a good place either. There are missiles in Cuba pointed straight at you, and the Gulf oil spill is going to eventually poison you….before the rest of us, who will get hurt by it also. With all that toxic material in the water, the next hurricane season is going to be awful. Moving is a great hardship, but if you do, go north and then west, but avoid the Mississippi river, which will flood and carry the oil with it. Pray they fix the oil leak.

      • Marianne,
I like your response here, because The Savior will be rescuing us.
        He will descend with ….
And He will ascend with … in His strong and loving Right Arm.

We know that The Day of The Lord is a day full of dread and darkness.
So you are right in saying: ‘The Lord will not rapture us on a nice sunny day when all is good with the world.’

  13. This year(2010), June 11th there will be another ECLIPSE. According to NASA. That would be 3 years in a row ECLIPSES have happened. According to the jewish meanings of ECLIPSES, an ECLIPSE of the MOON means bad days for the Jews. An ECLIPSE of the Sun means Bad days for the Nations. When you see these things keep looking up!
