  1. The “wise men” were star gazers (not astrologers) who believed in stars representing angels or the domain of angels. This was a common belief from very ancient times (see Rev 1:20).

The wise men had a simultaneous vision of the star – there were no visible miraculous stars in the sky at that time. It was nothing more than a vision. No one across the planet has recorded any star phenomena during that time period . The star reappeared to the wise men after they talked with Herod (Matt 2:9-10). No one other than the wise men is recorded as seeing the star at that time.

  2. 5~6~2020 On Lock Down But Still Yahweh’s Earth. Psalm 24:1
Yahshua the Son of Yahweh Returns VERY SOON! PRAY NOW to be SAVED and SEALED in THEM. Revelation 14:1 HalleluYah! Hebrew: “Praise ye Yah!”

Marianne, there is a footnote in my Holy Name Bible for Luke 2:2. It reads Cyrenius was first governor of Syria 11 to 7 B.C. He was twice governor of Syria.I have confidence in the translator of this Bible version (long dead) because he diligently checked things out even going to The Vatican. This would mean that Yahshua the Messiah was born between 11 to 7 B.C. He died (for us!) on a Passover between 22 and 26 A.D. From my prayerful calculations it seems that He will return on some Yom Kippur in one of the years 2023 through 2027. This is NOT a long span. I pray that He cuts this time even shorter for our sake!

I cannot find it right now, but there was one reference that said Yahshua could have been born as early as 8 BC. so from 8-2 BC range of time. so it seems it is hard to confirm dates. People were not in the habit of putting dates on their documents back then. maybe there were astronomical events between 11 – 7 BC that the scientists did not look at.

      wikepedia says this
Publius Sulpicius Quirinius (c. 51 BC – AD 21) was a Roman aristocrat. After the banishment of the ethnarch Herod Archelaus from the tetrarchy of Judea in AD 6, Quirinius was appointed legate governor of Syria, to which the province of Judaea had been added for the purpose of a census.[1]

so now there is an AD, not BC date. this puzzle needs to be solved.

      then here it says
This account of Tacitus proves that Quirinius was governing militarily in the area of Syria well before becoming the civilian governor of Syria and taking a second census of Judea in 6 A.D. as recorded by the Jewish historian Josephus.

so there was a census before 6 AD as well…

Irenaeus, Against Heresies, Anti-Nicene Fathers Volume 1
Book III.xxi.3 Robers and Donaldson – Eerdmans 1885
Irenaeus states: “Our Lord was born about the 41rst year of the reign of Augustus”
Since Augustus was first given Imperium powers by the Roman Senate as well as becoming a Consul in 43 B.C., this would place the census at 2 B.C.

Tertullian , An Answer to the Jews, Ante-Nicene Fathers, Volume III.
Part I, vii, 8 mentions that Augustus began to reign 41 years before the birth of Christ. And 28 years after the death of Cleopatra who died in 30 B.C. therefore also giving a date of 2 B.C. for the census.

so t his brings us back to 2 BC?

      • Hi Marianne! The footnote in Luke 2:2 states that the second time Cyrenius was governor of Syria was from 6 A.D. to 7 A.D. Yahshua the Messiah was born during his FIRST term, 11 to 7 B.C. I believe that dates have been purposely hidden from us especially the birth and death dates of Yahshua our Messiah. The Romans (like the Nazis) kept meticulous records.
