Angel of Death and the 3 Days of Darkness

Angel of death follows the 3 days of darkness.

Dream (January 17, 2013)

I was riding on a bus or train.

I looked up on a passing hill and saw a dark figure.

Hill was mainly dirt, bare, without vegetation.

The dark figure turned around and looked at me.

I felt it was the angel of death.

He seemed focused on the road ahead, something in the near future.

Because of this dream, I sought the Lord about what it could mean, and how should I respond.

On January 19, 2013, the Torah portion was from Exodus,

Exodus 10:1-13:16

My answer was there.

Especially this passage about :

The Ninth Plague: Darkness

²¹ Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your

hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness

over the land of Egypt, darkness which may even be

felt.”

²² So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven,

and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt

three days.

²³ They did not see one another; nor did anyone rise

from his place for three days. But all the children of

Israel had light in their dwellings.

I had wondered so far how the 3 days f darkness could fit into end time events, if true.

I could see how it might be associated with the 6^th seal, since the sun

turns dark at that time, but I was not sure.

But today, I found another 3days of darkness I had not thought of before: the ninth plague in Egypt.

Putting 3 days of darkness in biblical context and timing:

Plague # 9 in Egypt: 3 days of darkness – Egyptians were afflicted with heavy darkness, while the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

Plague # 10 in Egypt: Angel of Death kills the first born of the Egyptians, while the Angel of Death passes over the houses of the children of Israel.

12 ‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.

13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

Children of Israel leave Egypt.

Children of Israel enter the wilderness.

Possible Conclusion:

It would seem consistent with scripture that if there is a 3 days of darkness in our future, then it might be right before Passover of a particular year.

The 3 days would be a signal to Jews to “leave Egypt.”

Egypt is somewhere that is NOT Israel.

Revelation 12 predicts the “woman” flees to the wilderness at one moment.

It seems like subconsciously, Jews will be inspired to leave where they are and enter a wilderness experience somewhere, to escape the Egypt they have been in.

It would also be a signal to all of us that we should leave our own Egypt, and leave any sin we have behind us.

It is a last call to holiness and repentance.

The angel of death either kills us, or we are protected by the blood of the Passover lamb, as we acknowledge the power of God and repent.

So the 3 days of darkness is an opportunity to allow the angel of death to “pass over” our homes and lives.

For those who rebel against God, it is a time of judgment and destruction.

Which Passover of which year may we see this, if this theory holds true?

–

I don’t know, so I must wait and see what happens next.

–

The angel of death dream indicated to me that the time seemed near.

The angel was looking right ahead of where my bus / train was going.

The event was right up the road somewhere.

–

I and others were heading toward that time and event.

Will we be “passed over,” or will we be killed?

That is up to us.
