Bad Eyes
–
If you are blind, you will not see the “point.”

Proverbs 29:18 King James Version (KJV)
18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he.

This is a note from an old Facebook post:
I guess I need to keep my eyeglasses on.
I just spent time trying to thread a needle, and finally figured out I had been doing it on the wrong end.
There is no eye on the point of a needle.
This is almost as bad as wondering where the moon went one night.

While this seems like a light hearted comment about a small mistake, it actually speaks volumes.
I was blind.
I could not see what I needed at one end, so I got confused, and tried to work with the opposite end.

How many times do we, completely blind to the truth, end up doing the exact opposite of what we should be doing?
We struggle and fail, because we are WRONG.
Instead of seeking the truth, by putting our spiritual eye glasses on, we continue to go in the wrong direction, and continue to fail.
Then, somehow we manage to justify blaming God for the failure, and not blessing us with what we want.
God denied me, God wouldn’t help me, God does not care….etc.

Before we attempt to think or act in a certain way, we need to have the correct vision of what God would think or do.
The answer is in His Word.

So put on your spiritual eyeglasses, and see the point, and see where you need to go, what you should be thinking, and what you need to do.
