Clay People in the Feet

Who are the clay people?

–

In Nebuchanezzar’s dream, in Daniel 2, some mysterious feet are described.

–

And whereas you saw iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. Dan 2:43

At times, when I used to read this verse, I assumed the clay was human, and the iron was non-human.

–

But that is not consistent with the previous verses:

Head of gold = Babylonian empire = human

Chest and arms of silver = Medo-Persian = human

Belly and Thighs of Brass = Greeks = human

Iron legs = Romans = human

So, who are the clay people?

–

They are not listed among the world empires, as they are too weak to be an empire.

–

But they are present, and prominent, enough to weaken iron.

GEOLOGIC ORIGIN OF CLAY

Clay is a mineral ‘stew’ that is the result of the erosion of the earth’s crust over vast spans of time.

How this transformation takes place is a matter of geology and time. The effects of erosion over enormous spans of time cause igneous rocks to disintegrate, and the feldspar content is altered to kaolinite, which is the identifying substance in clay.

Those clay deposits which remain at or near the site of the parent material (granite) are called residual or primary clays. These so-called residual clays are grainy and lack the smoothness necessary for workability.

These clays are said to be non-plastic because they do not shape easily.

Miry clay ( wet clay)

Those clays which have been transported by water, wind, and ice and deposited in locations distant from the source material are called sedimentary or secondary clays.

Compared to residual clays, sedimentary clays are more plastic, and the particles are smaller, more uniform, and more mixed with other materials.

Under the microscope, clay particles resemble playing cards in form. They are flat, hexagonal, and thin, like cards.

When wet, the particles can ‘slip’ across each other, as in a deck of cards. This ability to ‘slip’ is what gives clay its workability, called plasticity.

What kind of people resemble the properties of clay?

Especially the sedimentary clay…. Which is wet, and washed away from its source. Which has plasticity and can be molded (into toes in a statue)?

Properties:

Movement : What kind of people move long distances, from their points of origin, and enter into various countries?

Plasticity: They come from one place, and mold into society in another country. They take the shape of that country while still retaining their identity.

Instability /slippery : When wet, particles can slip or move, indicating instability.

What kind of people are unstable, or their presence makes the country unstable?

Clay and iron chemistry

In the statue, the presence of clay weakens the iron in the feet.

When Iron is exposed to wet clay, oxidation takes place, resulting in RUST, which weakens iron.

This is called oxidation.

–

The term oxidation was originally used to describe reactions in which an element combines with oxygen.

Example: The reaction between magnesium metal and oxygen to form magnesium oxide involves the oxidation of magnesium.

After electrons were discovered, chemists became convinced that oxidation-reduction reactions involved the transfer of electrons from one atom to another. From this perspective, the reaction between magnesium and oxygen is written as follows.

2 Mg + O2 2 [Mg2+][O2-]

In the course of this reaction, each magnesium atom loses two electrons to form an Mg2+ ion.

Mg Mg2+ + 2 e-

Oxygen associates with the magnesium, which gets “reduced” ( loses electrons), and oxygen just contributes “air.”

The electrons that used to belong to the magnesium have to be shared with the oxygen, because of the strength of the “pull” of the oxygen.

Back to clay feet

Wet clay is the oxidizing agent for iron.

So wet clay causes a “loss” in the iron.

As oxygen combines with magnesium to form magnesium oxide, the same association happens between wet clay and iron.

–

The clay “takes away from the iron” but contributes nothing to it but “association,” transforming the iron into a different entity.

It is still iron, but weaker.

What kind of people take away from their new country, but contribute nothing to it?

Proposal

Clay people are unwanted , undesirable immigrants who come into a country and weaken it with their needs and demands.

Immigrants into countries who have no interest in accepting the values and customs of their host countries, instead living in closed communities, demanding that their host countries bend their customs and laws to accommodate them.

Many immigrants to Europe come from the Middle East and Africa with different religious and cultural values.

Witness the huge problem of conservative Muslim immigrants taking over whole parts of cities, often with police hesitant to enter.

Witness these immigrant communities insisting on their right to perpetuate their intolerant traditions against women and non-believers, at times even attempting to institute their undemocratic, mercilessly medieval Shariah law.

Witness this in their originally welcoming democratic host countries, from England to central Europe and even the Scandinavian countries.

America

Immigrants to America are Hispanic (Mexican) , middle eastern, eastern, African, European, etc.

Many are legal, and contribute, but there is a massive amount who are illegal and parasitic.

They are also gangsters, drug dealers, infected with disease, terrorists, or so poor and uneducated they contribute nothing to society. They cannot even speak English.

They drain society of its money and resources, introduce disease and terror and crime. They demand tolerance, but give no tolerance back.

They introduce instability, or uncertainty, into the future of America.

ISIS is here to destroy America.

Destruction of the Clay /Iron Feet and statue

Since Europe and America have the most immigration problems, to me, the last empire is western civilization itself, which is the product of the ancient Roman empire.

At the forefront, is America, or some say Mystery Babylon, to make it worse.

Daniel describes the destruction of the feet, as well as any empire who comprised the stature

45 just as you saw that a stone was cut from a mountain by no human hand, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold. A great God has made known to the king what shall be after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation sure.”  Daniel 2:45

Mystery Babylon is also described as being destroyed by a millstone in revelation.

Rev 18: 21

And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast [it] into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

So, as the feet of Nebuchanezar’s dream is destroyed, so is Mystery Babylon.

Babylon was initially strong, due to the strength and achievements of the Roman empire, but weakened itself with massive immigration of peoples who came to drain and destroy, instead of contribute.

In other words, it started out strong, but let the wrong people in.
