Covenant with Many

Is the traditional interpretation really biblical?

Dan 9:27

And he [prince to come] shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make [it] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

As written, the covenant is “with many,” and does not mention if Israel is included in the covenant or not.

Also, there is no mention of peace.

That has been an assumption.

A covenant, or treaty, can be for many reasons: commercial, navigation, war, peace, land, resources, amity ( friendship), rights to access ( example: oil rights), protection, etc.

There is also no mention that this is a publicized treaty.

It may be a public or secret treaty.

Possibilities:

1. Covenant with many nations, which includes Israel as a covenant partner

2. Covenant with many nations, which omits Israel as a covenant partner

3. Covenant with many nations against Israel, and her ally, the USA, as half the Jews are in the USA.

4. Others?

For Israel, it will go from bad to worse.

If Option 2 or 3 is true, then the prince is busy with his activities pushing his agenda, and arrives in Israel at the mid point.

If option 2 is true, then this is an alliance of nations against Israel, to invade and destroy her. If this is true, then the alliance would have to contend with the USA first.

If option 3 is true, then this is an alliance of nations to first destroy the power partner of Israel, America, leaving Israel without any ally, making Israel easy to invade.

I do not think the prince to come cares anything for Israel, and it is the practice of her enemies to exclude her and accuse her of issues.

–

For this reason, I am considering option 3 as the most plausible and possible, especially as I look around America and the world, and see the changes.

There are other posts and other sites that have been following the “invited invasion” of Russian, European, and Chinese troops into America for martial law.

Revelation 6, 6^th seal, describes a global earthquake that would

disrupt civilization as we know it. The resulting chaos would break down defenses, and allow attacks to proceed.

Or, the treaty against Israel would cause a massive earthquake in America as God’s judgment, and the attacks would begin sooner than the 6^th seal.

The American government has been preparing for a New Madrid fault failure, and so there are signs already that this could be a troubled area in the near future.

May God take care of anyone who lives in this region!

Note:

It is my impression that the prince to come has come, and the alliance has been formed secretly, and the plans are being carried out.

When he is finished destroying America, he can move to Israel, and try to destroy it also.

There is a last week of Daniel, but the Great Tribulation, or time of Jacob’s trouble, is only the last 3 ½ years. So what happens during the first half?

I believe the first half of the last week of Daniel is devoted to destroying America, so that Israel can be attacked next.

When the prince to come gets to the second half of the week, he betrays everyone in his alliance, and the abomination occurs.
