Dream – Tunnel Under Deep Water

Confirmed by the “nail,” the “cut,” and the “gold.”

It is now 23 years later, and I am still in the tunnel.

Dream 01/27/1997

On January 27, 1997, I had a dream in which my Pastor showed me a long, deep tunnel, under very deep water, that I had to travel through to reach what God had for me.

He also showed me a symbolic withdrawing of blood with a large needle and syringe.

The blood was being taken from me for some purpose, and it injured me.

It was being drawn out of my muscle (source of strength) instead of my vein (normal site). It was all very painful.

So I was shown blood being pulled from me in a painful fashion from my muscles (source of physical strength), and how I was traveling under very deep water through a tunnel to get to a destination far away.

I would be making painful sacrifices, and that I would be put under much pressure and going deeper.

I took the very deep water to mean trouble, and I thought back to the “nail” though my right hand and the “cut” on my wrist, I had experienced in a church meetings.

Confirmations

The nail

On May 14, 1997, while on a fast , during the praise and worship period, I stood and lifted my hands, and sang, and prayed, and went off in my own world, like I usually did, as I listened to the music.

Suddenly, I felt a nail pierce my right hand, like a bolt of electricity. It spun in a circular fashion, as if it were being drilled into and through me.

I felt shocked and grasped my right hand, which had gone numb, with my left, not knowing what to do. I sat down, dumbfounded.

I don’t remember much of the rest of the service, except the impression that Christ was still being crucified 2000 years after his death, and much of it occurred in churches.

This was a very rough message. I felt hurt and grieved inside of myself. My heart hurt.

The cut

On June 22, 1997, I attended a minister friend’s church that afternoon, who felt moved to pray that the Lord anoint my hands.

When she prayed for me, the Lord touched me. There was a hot burning on my arms, which lasted awhile.

My arms were still burning, and a 2 inch blood-red line had appeared on my wrist. It looked like a cut, and it stayed there for about 30 minutes before it disappeared.

A sense of peace came over me, because I thought of how blood covenants were done in the past between people. They would cut their wrists and then rest their wrists against each other, to mingle their blood.

Somewhere in my spirit, I felt the Lord was demonstrating the blood covenant between us, and he was acknowledging that He knew I was willing to die for Him, as He died for me.

I didn’t realize it yet, but the Lord knew I was ready to make some special sacrifices just for Him, because of this bond we had.

This was such a precious moment, and would be a source of strength for me later.

More Confirmation

The Gold

In July, 2002, I went to a prayer conference. At the beginning of the conference, a minister noticed we both had gold on our hands. We thought it was to indicate a blessing,

But I now know it was to mark the beginning of the “tunnel” experience, and the minister having the gold as well was a confirmation to me.

The gold meant the Lord would be with me in the tunnel.

That night, I entered into what has been so far an 18 year period of suffering which is not over yet.

I recalled I had a friend who died from cancer, and she was also given gold on her hands to let her know the Lord was with her as well.

The suffering has taken all my strength. The suffering is physical, emotional, and spiritual, and more.

I have about 2 hours a day where I can even stand and function. It is just as the dream predicted.

But the Lord has been with me through it all, and my focus is on the day I leave the tunnel. I submit to Him and look forward to being in His glorious presence someday soon.

Thoughts

The world is about to go into a period of suffering.

It will last longer than anyone wants, so people need to prepare their hearts, and never give up when hardships occur.

Keep hope and faith alive. There is an end to the tunnel.

Isaiah 43: 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
