End Season

Is this a time to tear down, or a time to build up?

** Special thanks to Elle, who suggested this post.

Throughout history, we have found King Solomon’s words to be true:

Ecc 3:1 To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Ecc 3:2   A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up [that which is] planted;

Ecc 3:3   A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

Ecc 3:4   A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

Ecc 3:5   A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

Ecc 3:6   A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

Ecc 3:7   A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

Ecc 3:8   A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Ecc 3:11   He hath made every [thing] beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God makes from the beginning to the end.

How amazing is the last verse!

Every time is beautiful, no matter what emotion or experience it brings!

Each time has its own beauty, when God is at work.

We may only see the dark side, but the light of God is there, for us to discover, and ponder upon.

So, in all things, we must not trust our senses, but put our faith in God.

Is it possible for us to experience opposite events at the same time?

Can we be born and die at the same time?

How can we plant and harvest at the same time?

How is it possible to weep and laugh simultaneously? Mourn and dance?

Losing and keeping, keeping silent, yet speaking?

Love and hate? War and peace?

This is impossible to have at the same time, it seems!

Maybe the secret to seeing God’s handiwork, and grabbing hold of the positive during negative times, is to understand what is on the horizon, according to God’s word.

Spiritual level interpretation

We can die to ourselves, and be reborn as God’s children. We can lose one love and find another.

We can peace in the middle of a war.

There are times when silence speaks the loudest.

And sometimes, we can plant the seed of the Word of God, and since it falls upon good soil, it quickly brings forth a harvest.

But, what about the physical world?

In one generation, Jesus said we would see the end of the world as we know it, and the beginning of another world that we can barely imagine.

It will be a time of victory for evil.

Yet the wonder of a new earth full of holiness is right around the corner.

It will be a time of war to end all wars.

Yet the power of God will end the final war, and the lion will lie down with the lamb.

It will be a time of mourning for all believers, as they face persecution, and threat of death.

Yet, it will be a time of joy, because their salvation draws nigh!

It will be a time when we lose everything we have, yet we gain the kingdom on earth.

We will be hated, but must give love in return.

Something new is being born on the earth.

The time of man is converging with the time of the Father.

The plans of man are ending, and God’s plans are taking over.

It is a time of transition.

Satan is taking his last stand (time of getting), but will lose (time of losing) to our Messiah.

How do I respond?

I really can feel myself weeping and laughing at the same time.

There is sorrow and joy ahead.

I live in anticipation. My future will come, and I will go outside to greet it.

So, when I see darkness come, I will see the light behind the clouds.

So, when I lose even more, I will rejoice, because the time for those needs is over.

When war comes, I will hold my breath in awe, because I will see the peace that follows.

When others fear, I will comfort them with the assurance of the Holy Spirit.

When they come to arrest and kill me for my faith, I will go in victory, because I am finally giving my greatest gift, my life, for the ONE I love.

I have need of nothing now, except the presence of my Savior.

So, when my heart breaks over those unsaved loved ones, I will cry with joy, because their deliverance and salvation draw nigh!

For, I know that my rivers of sorrow will turn into streams of joy.

It will be a time to tear down, and time to build, a time to die, and a time to be re-born, a time to mourn and a time to laugh and dance.

  2. Marianne, Thank you for writing this post. There is great comfort & wisdom in these verses. We can make better choices as Christians, with greater understandingwhen we keep these verses in our hearts. Spread the love, the joy of Him, in the midst of the peril, the ultimate victory for our God! …thank you!…. elle

  3. Excellent post and very thought provoking. There may be times we can experience two different feelings, but in God’s creation there is absolutely a specific time for all things. Sometimes we fail to stop and appreciate each of them.

  4. Kinda like knowing that you’re going to lay this earthly body down and leave your friends and family, but also knowing that when you do, you’ll be at home with JESUS and in total peace…sad tears about leaving, happy tears about arriving…

  5. (Ecc 8:5) Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man’s heart discerneth both time and judgment.

    All about “time and judgment” had been written…but not understood correctly untill the “time of the end”…

    (Dan 12:8) And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

    (Dan 12:9) And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

    This scripture is in harmony with what Almighty Holy God declared through his servant Paul….

    (1Th 5:4) But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

    (1Th 5:5) Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

    When His dissiples asked Him …

    (Mat 24:3) And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

    He answered…

    (Mat 24:15) When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

    And ….

    (Mat 24:32) Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

    The figtree (Israel) 14/15 May 1948 (Pentecost…most Hebrew calendars wrongly identify that month Iyyar, according to the Biblical Calendar the 14/15th day of May 1948 was the day of Pentecost)

    And for 40 years God completed the 2nd periode of testing when His started His preparation periode for His Judgment Day on 21 May 1988 (day before Pentecost) …

    And He shall begin His Judgment Day on 21 May 2011, being the 17th day of the 2nd month of the Biblical Calendar….7000years after God shut the door of the ark on the 17th day of the 2nd month in the year Noah 600…!

  6. Dear Marianne,
    Thank you so much for this very beautiful post. It is very comforting and good to know there are others out there that feel the same way,facing these times just ahead. There is no one in my life, no friends or family, to share this with. They have not been truly called to Christ. I appreciate all you give in your writing. Yours in Christ, Lisa

      It is our final trial. To feel alone and with no one as days of trouble descend upon us. But we all have the comfort of the Lord. And HE will return soon, in my hope.

      in the meantime, we have each other. This site is for those wanting more of Him, while they go through trials and wait for Him.

  7. It is the end period.
    After the end … there is no more seasons.
    I hope you can comprehend this video …
    because it is on the threshold
    and these reptiles have waited long for this!!

  8. But … I must also add here …
    God too has waited a long time and He is very, very
    PREPARED!!!!!!!
    Trust in HIM.

  9. “When they come to arrest and kill me for my faith, I will go in victory, because I am finally giving my greatest gift, my life, for the ONE I love. ”

    Why would G-D leave us here to endure this? what about our children? what if they use our kids against us? Surely G-D would not let this happen…

    • Throughout the history of man, the righteous have lived through wars and difficulties that have come. It has rained on the just and unjust alike.

      While I do not know for sure if I will be around for any more negative events, I should be prepared for it.

      The bible says that there will be saints martyred during the tribulation. I cannot answer you as to who will die and who won’t.
