There are two sources of “floods” in the last days.

Both are trouble.

The devil’s flood – words

Since it comes out of his mouth, it appears to be a flood of words.

Defamation, slander, strife, antichrist in content, anti-Semitism …etc… to arouse the nations against the Chosen of God.

Rev 12:15

And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

Rev 12:16

And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth

YHVH’s Flood – Fire

1… Fire by natural forces – purpose is to purify the earth and create a new heaven and earth.

2Pe 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2Pe 3:11 [Seeing] then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness,

2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.

The concept of purification by fire also was predicted by Isaiah

Isa 66:15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

Rev 8:8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

Rev 8:10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

On the scale of solar flares, X-class storms are the most powerful and can interfere with satellites and infrastructure on Earth when aimed at our planet.

M-class storms are the second-most powerful flares and can set off geomagnetic storms that create dazzling northern lights displays when the eruptions reach Earth.

C-class flares, the weakest category, have little effect on Earth.

The sun is currently in an active phase of its 11-year solar weather cycle. The current cycle, known as Solar Cycle 24, will peak in 2013.

On Thursday, sunspot AR 1476 unleashed a powerful flare at 12:18 a.m. EDT (0418 GMT) that registered as a class M5.7 eruption.

M-class solar flares are medium-strength sun storms that can still unleash powerful blasts of radiation and magnetic solar plasma.

So far, the sunspot has not triggered huge explosions from the sun, which scientists call coronal mass ejections.

Divine Fire – purification from sin, trials of faith

1Pe 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou may be rich; and white raiment, that thou may be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that thou may see.

Rev 4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and [there were] seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

Rev 8:5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast [it] into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

Rev 8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

Rev 19:20

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Rev 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Rev 20:14

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Final thoughts

There is much talk about God destroying this earth with water floods.

While some flooding may occur, and it might be significant, taking many lives, the bible teaches that the destruction to look for is by fire.

It will be the fire that destroys this planet, making a way for a new earth.

–

Fire will come from nature, evil man’s destructive acts, and God himself.

–

Fire from nature and evil man will produce death of the physical body only.

–

The Divine fire is the most significant, since that is the second death, and its results are permanent.

–

Man needs to repent of his wicked, selfish ways.

If he doesn’t, he will not only experience the first death of his physical body, in a horrible fashion, but he will also experience the second death, which produces eternal, horrifying torment.

–

Repent of your negative ways.

Even small sins are significant.

–

Center your heart around God’s will, not your own.

Salvation from the second death, and deliverance from the first, is obtainable though Jesus.

–

Seek the salvation of the Lord, while there is still time.

God loves you, and does not want you to perish.

–

Jesus is the door to the Father in Heaven
