Jesus at the Door

Most people will not open the door.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone should hear My voice and open the door, then I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.    Rev 3:20

I have been knocking literally on someone’s door for 20 years.

They will not open it, will not speak to me, no matter how much I plead, entreat or encourage.

It seems more important to me, than to them.

They just do not want a relationship with me.

They do not want to chat, or be in the same room with me.

They reject my presence as an interruption, a burden to be avoided.

If I complain, I am told I am bothering them, and I am too critical for complaining.

Someday, I will die, and be gone forever,

and the knocking will stop.

The chance to open the door will be gone.

They most likely will not mourn my death, or miss me.

I know how Jesus feels, when people refuse to answer his call.

Rejected, and unloved.

The pain is unending….

I know He, like me, keeps trying, hoping there will be a change.

A remote chance the door will open, and someone will want Him.

He has to keep trying.

Someday, He won’t be knocking anymore.

For those that reject his knock, it won’t be like with me.

I will die, and life will go on with the person.

But if Jesus stops knocking, then life will STOP for that person.

For eternity.

Jesus will not be knocking much longer.

Woe to them who reject his call.

I encourage people to soften their hard cold hearts, and take the opportunity for true happiness.

The suffering ahead of them is eternal, and unbearable.

And for those who would think Jesus no longer would care…

He would feel much sorrow.

Just like I would

When love is given and given, and not returned.

And rejection is consistent,

and one is cursed for trying to get the door open.

  1. Jesus is the the way to rest on all sides.

  2. Jesus, it seems, has more patience than those who are stubborn. His love out weighs the refusal of them all. Yet, He can not make us open the door, there would be no purpose in that.

We have to meet Jesus at the door, open it, and invite Him in. That is a struggle for those who have never met Him. It is even more of a struggle for those who have met Him, yet still refuse.

All we can do is point the way for others. In the end, however, they are still the ones who must meet Jesus at the door. Either they will open it, or, they won’t. We can’t do it for them either.

We can bow our heads and pray they make the choice, and in bowing our heads, we bow in gratitude, that grace was there for us.

  3. Well… The popular white long haired, short bearded man dressed like a Roman could not be the real Jewish Mesiah. He was no crestus romanus both in His appearance and specially His behavior and His followers were not crestianus either.
How could people follow Him without actually trying to emulate His actions? Really most people dont actually know Him because the world has been presented with a false anomia crestus or Christ that has been baked in a Roman mold.
Believing in Yeshua should mean believing in what He was all about but the majority of Christians like the majority of Jews dont really know what He was all about. They believe the nonsense Rome spoon fed the ignorant masses so as to help them maintain control. The Jewish believers that stood for truth were murdered and with that Rome hoped to silence the truth. Only light cant be kept under a bushel long.

Cant wait for Yeshua to return with His army of angels and get rid of all darkness and then establish Yah’s kingdom and Torah in Jerusalem.

    • that was the best picture I could find…..

I can’t wait either for His return

    • I agree with you Shoshana.
Since Constantine legalised christianity we have been brain-washed with this false jesus.
“J” was not in the English language 450 years ago, so jesus before this was Iesous, before Iesous it was?
Some say Yeshua, but studying Constantine it would have been the Greek god Zeus. Oh dear!
An interesting point, now when the Messiah returns to Jerusalem will He tell the Jews/Hebrews, My name is jesus? They will reject this false god outright!
The Messiah is a Hebrew of the tribe of Judah (Rev 5:5), His Name is Yahushua which means “Yahuweh saves.”
Christianity says the Law (10 commandments were nailed to the cross).
So Christianity is lawlessness or Torahlessness.
What does the Messiah say in Jn 14:15; “If you love Me keep My commandments.”
In Jn 14:21 the Messiah tells us: “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love and manifest Myself to him.”
So there is a condition to being save!
For those believing in an exclusive Pauline doctrine, read 1 John.
So, should we be keeping the Sabbath or worshiping the sun-god?
Suggest we should be “striving” to keep the Sabbath for if you desire to be with the Messiah during the Millenium, guess whose rules you will follow?

  4. Marianne, Excellent!
It seems like Jesus is always knocking on my door. Everytime I go through a stressful situation, He knocks. I can almost hear Him say, “I’m here for you, will you let me in?” I have many expetiences with Jesus but sometimes I still get caught up trying to figure out difficult people or difficult situations when I really just need to give it all to Him. I have to tell myself we can do all things through Him. It’s challenging to let go at times but when I do I can count on Him….The human condition is not easy for sure! Blessings to all for the new year…

    • elle

I think we all have this problem to some extent. we get busy and don’t listen, and miss the knocking

    • Elle, I agree with Marianne, in that we end up getting busy with the doing instead of the doing of just being. The hardest part is in the letting go and letting God. The fact that you are aware of what you do puts you ahead of most of us.

I am the beginning and continuance of all things.
    I became like YOU.
    I existed from the first.
I walked down every possible road.
I am the wealth of Light and Truth.

I am the remembering of the Fullness . . . of God Himself. . .in you.

I walked into the place of greatest darkness and on down.
I entered the central part of all the prisons, to free all the prisoners.
All the walls have come down.
The foundations of chaos quaked, and are vanquished.

I am only hidden because of forgetfulness, the true evil that was the destruction of all.

When I came my own did not recognize me, or receive Me.
I came into their very trouble to be their cure.
I emerge out from every heart who can remember and see Me.

I came to help you remember and come to know yourselves, then you will be known, to your very selves, and you will realize that you are the children of the living Father.

Long have I wished . . .and now the time is short.

Know now. . . “You, are more to Me than you can ever know, I love you”.

You are My creations, fashioned in the likeness and image of God, from My very Heart and Soul.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made!

You are precious and beloved . . .My baby boys and baby girls!

There is nothing you have to do or don’t do. Just be Mine and rest in My Love.

You are not just mortals created in a body of flesh from unclean foulness.

But you are created from My Heart, My Mind, and My Soul. You have been created from the Light-and Breath of God Himself. I am you. . your very heart-beat. I have have imparted to you. . .My Life.

You are not just here to exist with what has the appearance of life, being but a shadow of life. . .
KNOW you are made to know and exist Forever in the Power and Glory of the Most High God. . . EL ‘ELYON. HIMSELF!
    Most Supreme ALL POWERFUL GOD.

Blessed is he who will stand at the beginning, where Beauty, Great Honor and Value start. . .with God. . .
and you will know the end, and you can not and will not taste death.

“So abide in ignorance no more. . . as long as the WAY OUT is hidden from you YOU ARE LOST. . . and for lack of that knowledge, you perish and are never reborn.

STOP the forgetfulness of never knowing the truth. . . neither your origin . . .or your destiny”.

“Rise up from your deep sleep!”

    Stay awake!
Rise out of the depths of forgetfulness! Know Whose you are! MINE!

    I come quickly now!

To issue in Life Everlasting. To all that is Mine!

Know you are Mine. . .and I am yours!
    zōē life

  7. Hi Marianne or anyone know the answer ,

have you heard about people who worked as ministers for a few years in the church or ministries, later they went back to market place,
they said that God call them to go back to market place,

is it biblical that God call people back to market place ??

    • fyi

not really. the bible mentions leaving the world behind to get close to him, not the other way around.

however, people need to earn a living. some think they can make money in ministry, and if this does not happen, then they leave and go back to the secular work world.

this shows they were not really called by god into ministry to begin with.

this website is my ministry, and I do not get paid for this. I do it because I am called to do it, and I actually reject money if offered. god supplies my daily needs.

    • Marianne,

wow, thanks for being faithful to your calling !

so , it is not quite biblical to quit the ministries work to go back to the market place .

      God Bless

  8. catholics call ecumenical ??

The type of “unity” that we find in the ecumenical movement is not true unity at all; it is confusion; it is “Babel.”
This is not a unity of true Christians with false, nominal with genuine, sound doctrine with heresy. It is not a unity that ignores doctrinal differences for the sake of an enlarged fellowship. for the sake of LOVE ,
First, true Christian unity is a unity of the Spirit (Eph. 4:3). This means that it is a unity involving those who are regenerated by and led by the Spirit of God.
Second, true Christian unity is a unity of the one faith (Eph. 4:5). Biblical unity is impossible apart from the once-delivered faith taught by the apostles.
Third, true Christian unity is a unity that is found in the New Testament assembly. The command in Ephesians 4:3 is addressed to the church at Ephesus (Eph. 1:1} It was not addressed to “the worldwide body of Christians.”
The teaching of this passage is that, first, biblical unity is a function of the local church. This instruction was addressed to the church at Philippi. True Christian unity is not a parachurch or interdenominational issue.

Second, biblical unity means having one mind. It is not an ecumenical “unity in diversity.” Compare Romans 15:5-6; 1 Corinthians 1:10; 2 Corinthians 13:11.

Third, biblical unity requires total commitment to the one apostolic faith.

any thoughts ? or do you have any good link we could refer,

    the pastor says that the foundation of unity is NOT love. (pope proclaim love}

the foundation of unity is the truth gospel of Jesus Christ.

    • diversity in unity would have to be defined…..if it meant all races, sexes, and nations, then maybe I could see it

but if diversity means conflicting doctrines, heresies, sexual deviants, and different religions, then that is not unity

diversity is the new age religion
