I predict the big earthquake expected to hit Los Angeles will hit within the next few years. If you are in the cities get out to the country, the mountains as soon as you can. God will visit the wicked cities in judgment soon. 9/11 was nothing compared to what is coming.
Good article M, it is like a sparrow chirping in the forest, no one wants to listen. Why? maybe because the Bible message has lost its power, the Church has fallen away due to liberal preaching and policy. People today are more interested in self or demonic experiences. Jesus explains to us what the last days are like and I believe there is still some years before the rapture. In the parable of the Wheat and Tares the Tares are taken out first? We are closing in on the days where Christianity and the Bible will not be tolerated. The UN already has those laws in place. Christians will be persecuted and locked up, it has started in the Middle East with the Moslem Brotherhood who the President of the US is also a member. Are we seeing the start of WW III with the Syria crisis? we will have to wait and see. I believe we have to have WW III (Ezekiel 38) to set the stage for the antichrist. Many Islamic countries in the Middle East will be destroyed during WW III then the antichrist comes on the world stage proclaiming peace and signs a 7 year peace treaty with Israel which we know he breaks half way through. The first half of this tribulation period is about rebuilding and is the period where we will see the new Jewish temple being built. Then the antichrist or world leader will sit in the temple and call himself god and blasphemy God, then the “Great Tribulation” starts and God deals with non believers. When is the rapture? In 2 Thess 2 and Matt 24:4-31, Mark 13:5-27, Luke 21:8-28; it says after the great “falling away”, which means they were believers first, and after we see the antichrist sitting in the temple then Jesus returns and we meet Him in the air. Are there two comings of Jesus or one? My understanding of Scripture is there is one returning of Jesus. Our faith will be tested, almost to the limit (Mark 13:20-22). So pray always, never give up hope, faith or trust in Jesus, even if the world takes everything else you own, Amen.
Re. the 6th seal earthquake in chapter 6. There are at least four earthquakes mentioned in Revelation… Rev 6:12, 8:5, 11:13, 16:18. I’m just wondering, what if those references are all talking about the same quake?
If so, you could use it as a timeline marker to line up events before and after the quake that are listed throughout the whole book.
Revelation can get quite confusing as to what happens when. Does this idea seem valid to anyone?

Do the 5 earthquakes in Revelation happen around the same time? Maybe they don’t, or, maybe they DO…
Is anyone here willing to discard most Revelation timeline charts, and concede the possible that they may be flawed? If so…
The following is derived from an idea that the 7 seals, 7 trumpets, and 7 vials/bowls in Revelation all START at different times, but END at the SAME time, because the pattern in the Bible shows 6 for man, and the 7th is always for God. Using this idea, the 7th seal consists of 7 trumpets that all CONCLUDE at the SAME time: the ONE time when God intervenes and the 7th angel says the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord.
Here’s how it could work, tracking the 5 earthquakes in Revelation.
QUAKE 1 – Rev 6:12 begins in the 6th seal, however it may not necessarily be at the start of it. John may mention it first to emphasise it, if the earthquake is the climax of the 6th seal. Chapter 7 begins with angels holding back the 4 winds and verse 3 says hurt not the earth, although the earth is already hurt back in chapter 6:12 onwards, so the sequential order is hard to follow.
QUAKE 2 – Rev 8:5 is part of a summary of the trumpets in advance, so the quake it mentions may happen around the time of the the 6th and 7th seals.
QUAKE 3 – Rev 11:13 is the 2nd. Woe. This section is part of an inset to the story that began at the start of chapter 10, so this quake may also begin at the end of the 6th seal, before the 7th trumpet.
QUAKE 4 – Rev 11:19 is part of the 7th trumpet, however the same quake period could also be part of a period that BEGAN during the 6th trumpet.
QUAKE 5 – Rev 16:18 is the 7th vial/bowl and is probably part of the 3rd woe. It seems to be the last of the 7 trumpets BUT the bowls may all happen very close together, and the quakes may still be a continuation of the 6th seal BECAUSE (and I think this is a strong point of evidence in favour of this) please note that Rev 16:20 seems to be speaking of exactly the same event as Rev 6:14 (which, as already pointed out, may end the 6th seal).
It’s possible the apostle John saw a panorama of events in his vision, and may have written down the points that made the greatest impression, detailing the earthquake not so much as a 1,2,3 sequence of events, but rather as a series of descriptions covering the same thing in several ways throughout the book.
I’m not saying the above is totally correct, but it may not be all that wrong either.
what you say is also possible…..seeing other events as a subset of a previous event is hard for me…..
since the bible says that the days have to be shortened or no man would be left alive, I think each event is so devastating that the damage is quick, which sets the stage for the next event.
if that is the case, then it is like beads falling off a string.
the 5th trumpet is the only one that takes 5 months….the times for the other events are not given, as they may be in rapid succession.
so each quake could just be the after shock of a previous quake…
my general sense is that the seals take time, war, martyrdom, etc. but once the wrath hits at the end of the 6th seal, then it could all be over in less than a year.
Chuck Missler has some good insights to offer on this topic. I will see if I can leave a link to some free audios of his on Revelation and Rapture. Of course, I am yet to hear all of it. Also, he may not be completely right. So the best way is to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man (Psalm 118:8). Also, pray that we all believers stick our neck above others and hang on till the end and finish the race – then we will be called overcomers and be greeted with the verbal pat: “Well done, my good and faithful servant!”

Yes we are to look forward to a new earth, but King James could be a more accurate translation because it is less of a contradiction to Amos, who says the opposite about looking forward to the day of God:
Amos 5:18 Woe to those that look forward to the day of the Lord!

As I read Amos 5 (context), this message is for a “religous” people. They are “foolish virgins” (while seeking lamp oil, left out in the dark), ones with a propensity to disregard justice at the gate. Amos 5:18 -20 seems to be their “Woe” (wake up) message.
There is a “Woe” within Matthew 24:19 (NKJV) too. This is not a message for pregnant mothers or nursing mom’s either (it’s a parable).
When I reconcile Amos 5:18-20 with Malachi 4:1-3, 2 Peter 3:9-12 (context), Joel 2:1-11 plus 1st Peter 2:9-10 there is a consistent message to those not walking in the light.
I think there is a thread woven through them, which does not present a contradict in most translations (always weary of that NIV and the weak Message translation/commentary).

I read your recent post on various definitions of a generation were you identified – 40, 70, 80 and 100 years. But, I can’t find that particular comment/reply you made recently.
What you posted was very interesting and helpful. Seems there may be multiple reference points – all pointing to 2017 and the end of the age.

In Matthew 24 Jesus warned us of false prophets and false christs that would bring great deceptions…He said in Matthew 24-11, 14,15 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many….v.14. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. ..Jesus is saying he end will come when the gospel of antichrist false prophets is preached in all the world…then the end will come…This gospel in V. 14 is not the Gospel of Christ.. Verse 15 says that the gospel that is preached in all the world is the abomination that makes men desolate..

As for earthquakes…Isaiah 14-16 says we will look upon lucifer the man and say “is this the man .that made he earth to tremble”..that shook nations..

Regarding the Day of The Lord – I’m praying for those walking in darkness. I’m praying for Pastors to wake up, preaching the Word with less Hybel, Osteen, and Warren style commentary. There is so much milk and bread filled with leaven (pride) served week in and week out. Books that distract the flock from reading/feeding on the Word.
Ol’ Billy Graham would say “The Bible says….’It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God'” (Hebrews 10:31).
He might quote this verse too – “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28).
People will die and souls will be going to heaven or hell. It will be dreadful time for those walking in darkness and those without oil for their lamp.
The evangelical church of the western (US) culture is closer to Matthew 17:17 than they know. The “religious types” (neither hot nor cold, and those saying they are rich) are in for a shock.
Those influenced by the Jezebel spirit (within the church) will be “thrown into Great Tribulation” unless they repent. They don’t even know what the Jezebel spirit is – in order to respond to the sin (demonic) issue and repent. So, they might wake up in the mist of the plagues and repent. That is one of the purposes of the plagues – get’m them to repent (Rev. 16:9).
Ephesians 5:6-10, 13-22 tells me to “wake up”!
Earthquakes:
My guess is that God will strategically apply “pressure” where it will be most effective to accomplished His purpose.
There are 2 locations in the US that seem to be candidates for these 5 quakes you identify in Revelation – New Madrid and San Andreas.
But, the magnitude of the Revelation quakes in these last days maybe “off the charts” while a New Madrid and a San Andreas quake may only be just an 8.0 to accomplish His purpose.
Then, there is the volcano on El Hierro, Canary Islands – which does not require an earthquake but a volcanic eruption to decimate the East coast of NA.
Therefore, “establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand” (James 5:7-9).

Once again, right to the point. It is really amazing how the world around us fail to recognize the doing of the Lord. For six moons past, the last warning shots were given to the world, that is in the Chelyabinsk affair, when the meteorite fell in Russia without warning nor expectation. Much was happening then, including the political machinations towards war then. There was a definite lull of the six moons, and then once again, the tendency to war is revived. Indeed, lets count the days, for I did stumble across Korean prophecies of the Holy Man, that state the event of terror occurs on the seventh day of the natural month of the particular year. As such, it should be expected of the event to occur on the 13th September 2013. Will we then witness the commencement of the terrible war of the world hatched from the escalation of the events in Syria?? Indeed, all is in place and the moment the USA is deceived to war against the Syrian government, then as the UN security council is in disagreement, so shall the UN be dried up, and all nations of earth will be at war. Another location to watch is the little known country called Kenya. For this Kenya contains within it the landscape that correspond to the Southern Cross, and it is the influence of the Crux that brings with it the day of the Lord.
When Elisha received the mantle of prophet-hood, some youths scorned and jested him, upon whom the wrath of the Lord fell and 42 of them were slain by two bears. Now with the last one year, the sign of the Lord’s curse upon the earth has evidenced thrice to my knowledge. The first was in September 2012 when 42 policemen were slain at a location called Baragoi in Kenya by yet undetermined assailants. Then in July this year, within the same week were slain 42 students, 23 of them in India by food poisoning and the 19 in Kenya by bus accident with one teacher. But that may seem to be some devious calculations aimed at concocting a point. However, at the last week of August in Kenya again, exactly 42 souls perished from a bus accident at Narok in Kenya. Now signs are only relevant to those who have eyes and understanding.
The world is already cursed by God, and much of the curses is effected from this little country. Likewise, both the president and his deputy in this country are facing trial at the ICC, a sector of the UN, and this matter is rather turning out to be a global trial of the ICC itself, rather than of the suspects. For world leaders are divided over the matter, and it is seeming that the UN institutions are a tool of the Western world to propagate neo colonialism, rather than for justice right and humanity.
Any way, much there is that anyone with godly intelligence will find indications of exactly where we are at. For we literally are living in hell these past century. We have been under trial of fire all along, for every technology now being conceived, adopted and propagated is only geared to more and greater destruction of the natural order of life. Gone are the natural flowing streams that once flowed across the earth enhancing and supporting abundant life. The fire technology has it greatness in death, whereas a water based technology had its greatness in life. It is the fire civilization that destroys the natural flora and fauna to sustain itself, and devours more than the earth can bring forth, hence the planet dies as we watch. This fire technology is of the Orion influence, and it is the fire and air that are eating at the heart of our dear planet. We must consciously repent of our evil and cease to pursue ways of destruction. Only then, when we recall the ways of creation, whence there is balance between water, air, earth and fire, can life be sustained.
But modern knowledge base is in fact a terribly fallacy, for it emphasizes only on the pursuit of the cause of death, and they have not even that understanding. Selfishness is death. Much evil stems from this cause, for when one supposes that they should be treated better that any other persons, that they should be allowed to destroy one fabric of environment because they can afford it, or that they like it, noting stops all others from doing likewise and in the end the entire fabric of nature is in tatters, and that is unfortunately what we are thriving on, and dying withal.
Goodness gracious, I did not plan on taking over the topic, but only greatly indebted to you all, and hence the many words. Just recall to watch for the event of the seventh day of the natural moon of the present, and from there we should know which direction the prophecies indicate.
Remember also God’s natural creation, for within it did God conceal the perfection of all that He created. Respect upon the creation is as respecting the house of the master, and as such is extension of the respect we owe to our Creator.
But understanding is a lost art in our world today.

JAMES 4:4- Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Guess what – that is so plain. And the denominations of today and most forums are possessed with waiting on some mysterious anti-Christ that will deceive you and put a Mark on your forehead by a computer chip. Its totally insane.
Spend their whole lives trying to figure out the anti-Christ. Why do you not spend that much time in knowing who Jesus Christ really is. And figure out the “Mystery of Christ in You” As Paul taught. Christ in you is what you should be seeking with all your heart.
Satan already has got you. You live in fear of doctrine. Yet Only the Word of God can set you free of the deceit that has you bound to an anti-christ. The Worlds of Daniel has “raptured” many millions and billions of people into their system’s of men that teach against the Word the Prophets spoke.
1 Jh. the first few chapters mention the WORLD 19 times. HELLO — is Your MIND of the world —- or do you have the MIND of Christ. Its that simple.

I never heard O’l Billy say that verse but was applying his method of preaching – which was mostly just reading the Scriptures.
Now you have me reading “Pressing into the Kingdom of God” and other sermons by Jonathan Edwards – a preacher of the first “Great Awakening” (1739-1741).
As you know, the second awakening was led by Charles Finney (mid-1800s).
The third great and final awakening is coming soon.
