today i am going to talk about a important issue that many people don’t find very important.
the issue of loving the needy and social outcast
lets look at what god says about the needy:
Psalm 12:5 “‘Because of the oppression of the weak and the groaning of the needy, I will now arise,’ says the LORD. I will protect them from those who malign them.”
Psalm 140:12 “I know that the LORD secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy.”
Isaiah 41:17 “The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; tongues are parched with thirst. But I the LORD will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.”
Luke 6:20-21 “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours in the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.”
these are such a small collection of verses but it points out that god has such a tender heart towards the sick and poor.
so what excuse to we have when we see a sick person in our own church or a someone homeless on the street and we act like he doesn’t exist.
god also said he will rescue us in our time of need if we recognize those who are in need
Psalm 41:1 “Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the LORD delivers him in times of trouble.”
when we slip into our own trouble let us not forget the poor. it could make all the difference
and now the final point
is how we worship god, many Christians think they are good Christians and worship god with a pure heart, yet don’t honor the poor and sick. thus there religion is in vain
Proverbs 14:31 “He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.”
James 1:26-27 (New Living Translation)
26 If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.
27 Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.
let me close by saying. i hope u look at the poor, sick and homeless differently.
next time u see one. instead of walking right by.
give love.
god bless
Kyle Done~ God Bless all! 🙂 my goal is god himself, not joy, not peace, nor even blessing, but god himself
ps from Kyle:
hope u put a message on u blog, about this. there will be tons of mentally ill in hell if things don’t change
there is not one ministry designed to reach out to the mentally ill or sick. not one church where mentally ill are understood. not one preacher has ever preached a sermon or took a step to reach them
most mentally ill believe they are completely hopeless. fell they are abandoned by god. they cant go to church becuz people forget who they are. things got to change
Kyle Done~ God Bless all! for he will deliever the poor WHO CRY out, the afflicted who have none to help. he will take pity on the weak and needy. and savethe needy from death. (psalm 72:12-13)

Greetings,
Hope you are well.
Finally something I can completely agree with.
Mathew 25 says “Verily I say unto you inasmuch as ye have done it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
Whenever you see somebody sleeping on a bench, or going through the garbage imagine it is Jesus there and act accordingly.
Love,
John
Hi John,
Thank you for your encouraging words. I am sure Kyle will appreciate your kindness. Kyle just added an extra note, if you want to check back and see it.

dear kyle,
i have bipolar disorder and tourette’s. it has caused a lot of “earthly” grief. but i have come to realize that it is a blessing for me. it doesn’t really matter if the church doesn’t reach out to me, or if i have a bad reputation with men. if God is for me, who can be against me?
i think those of us who are mentally ill ought to be reaching out to those who are spiritually ill, spiritually poor, spiritually orphaned. that’s just a different way of looking at it.
God bless,
paul
Hi Paul, thank you for your powerful testimony.
I feel that I can relate to how you feel with your condition and turning things around having heartfelt sympathy to those who are spiritually ill, spiritually poor, spiritually orphaned. How are you doing today? I live in NYC, visiting & helping out on a farm near Dayton OHIO. You are in my prayers today, that God’s Hand is over you and carries you through any trials & tribulations.
God Bless,
Sherriff
mary can u delete my two above psots?
Hi Kyle! This is very touching and very close to my heart!!! I always feel a need to help others, I guess I have gotten it from my mother. You see as a child my mother would feed the homeless that would come to our door in the 1960’s ( in those days we lived similar to a farm area)…anyways, they would be so hungry, and it seemed as the years went by we would see them from time to time. Well, as the years have gone by those memories have been instilled in my heart, always wanting to help others, as well as the jews in Russia. I remember so vividly crying as i watched a program on t.v. every Sunday, “International Fellowship of Jews” I think that’s what it was called..it doesn’t come on anymore. Somehow i was lead to help the Russian Jews! Now with so many loosening their jobs, I feel a need to help others perhaps making food for them??? dunno yet? Thank you for this beautiful artical, as it brought up so many memories!

A wonderful woman I know..Vilda…has such a genuine heart for the mentally ill…if anyone needs counseling in Atlanta, Ga I would recommend this Trillium Springs:

Hi Kyle…sometimes we get “installed into reduced circumstances” when God wants us to do a little (inconvenient) job for Him. Read this from Jeremiah 6. 27 “I have made you a tester of metals and a fortress among my people; that you may know and try their way.
28 They are all grievous rebels, going about with slanders; they are brass and iron: they all of them deal corruptly.
29 The bellows blow fiercely; the lead is consumed of the fire: in vain do they go on refining; for the wicked are not plucked away.
30 Men will call them rejected silver, because Yahweh has rejected them.”
Roughly 600,000 white South Africans are living in desperate poverty and we are not allowed to have jobs. There is racist legislation that underwrites affirmative action. It is called the Employment Equity Act. Where blacks were taken care of in terms of housing, education, health services and social welfare, even had jobs reserved for them under the apartheid government, our stalinist marxist communist government turns a blind eye to whites, but also to blacks. Ever since 1994, this country has been on a downslide of horrendous proportions. You can watch Al Jazera and see how our blacks protest (as inspired by Karl Marx, the atheist communist in the late 1800’s) and intimidate or kill those whom don’t participate. Black students go to varsity or college to practice politics and not to study. They spend their time organising protests, intimidate or assault whites whom want to study and set educational facilities on fire.
Mandela’s legacy is a country handed over to the spiritual forces of the antichrist. We didn’t have apartheid because of hating blacks, we had it because Marx taught the (then) black illiterate workers to become anarchists in the late 1800’s. His atheist ideologies had caused the small white Afrikaner minority to ensure that the unbeliever doesn’t get into parliament. It was to preserve sanity and REACTION to black racism and unimagimanle cruelty.
Now us whites can’t get jobs, service delivery is failing and we are in a mess. As I am wrinting here, disloyal and unpatriotic, selfish and greedy black teachers, nurses and other government workers are striking for higher pay. They kill other blacks from other countries as they want jobs reserved only for themselves.
The thing is – our own blacks perhaps are NOT the most productive people in this world and they want a salary, not a job! I have more black friends than white and they are nor ashamed to tell me how lazy they are!
Meanwhile, 600,000 people – some highly skilled and qualified – are living in makeshift shacks and have NO income, no allowance, no food coupons, etc. Left to the vultures……
This is a social injustice that should get the atention of fellow Christians elsewhere and people need to come to the aid of these outcasts. http://www.helpinghandfund.co.za/ or http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?art_id=nw20100330222428455C786801
Google it, check it on Youtube. Find out about the 3,000+ white farmers that had been killed since Mandela came into power. These are FACTS and freely available on the internet.
What is terrible is that our own local churches either exploit or ignore the whites, lots of abusive practices occur in that department. Poor whites have NO voice and I am probably RISKING MY LIFE writing this!
I went to a church asking for prayer and was told to “come back week after next as we are now busy feeding the aliens.”
my family and I WERE relocated 36 times in 10 years now and suffered horrendous abuse FROM pastors and church people!
it is Muslims whom had lent us money and gave us food…….
we are truly reborn christians but the franchises marketing jesus just suck at showing love.
and yes, it isn’t just the mentally ill that get rejected.
read about siener van rensburg in the column to the right…….
hi Pieter
I am very aware of the abuse you have received there. i have pages where I make it open, to communicate the horrible things that have happened. there are graphic images as well.

How are you surviving now?
Kyle is one of God’s little preachers…for a Christian compassion is an imperative…not an option. Otherwise Jesus will say, “I do not know you…”
The last comment was Groundhog Day by me…this is the central teaching of our Faith, the Cornerstone.
Where are all the enthusiastic writers??
If there’s a post about sin, evil, catastrophes or homos or Israel, the post is flooded with passion.
I had a friend from Armenia…a delightful lady and mother. Her husband was in hot check trouble and they got deported. I still see her leaning on my car door, looking into my eyes and talking about churches: ” I’ve been to them all…Catholic, Born Again, Methodist…on and on…and I want to tell you, THEY’RE ALL THE SAME! Just cliques who underline the Bible and look at your clothes!!”
Come on, everybody…respond to Kyle here!! He has the spirit of our Lord!
hi Deanna
It is very true, with all the posts that come out on this website, that a humble and worthy post will get buried.
As you imply, this post is what Christianity is all about…..it is theology in action, and not discussed enough.
god bless you for coming back here.
A very needed post, thanks Kyle and God Bless! 🙂
