Modern Slave trade – Clue to Mystery Babylon

Mystery Babylon is characterized by “the bodies and souls of men” as merchandise.  (Rev 18:13)

People are quick to identify America as Mystery Babylon, yet it does not have all the exports listed in Rev 18: 12-13

12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,

13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.

Should other countries be considered as possible “Babylons?”

America is not listed as a primary trader in slaves.

Babylon is a great city, so we should look closer at the rest of the merchandize it sells:

gold, and silver,

precious stones,

pearls,

fine linen,

purple,

and silk, (china?)

and scarlet,

and all thyine wood,

and all manner vessels of ivory, (china, Africa)

and all manner vessels of most precious wood,

and of brass,

and iron,

and marble,

And cinnamon,

and odours, and ointments,

and frankincense,

and wine,

and oil,

and fine flour,

and wheat,

and beasts,

and sheep,

and horses,

and chariots, (automobiles)

I really do not have an answer to this puzzle.

New York City does not deal in sheep, frankincense , wood, or silk, horses, or slaves.

China could fit all the merchandize requirements for Babylon, with Hong Kong being the major city, but this is still speculation.

India is possible, being at the top of the list, with Mumbai or Delhi as the great city. Many exports come from India.

I pray that people keep an open mind, pray also, and make their lives right with God.

When Mystery Babylon is destroyed, the whole world will suffer.

–

The world will sink into perilous times, and only the pure of heart and righteous will have a chance of surviving.

–

Maybe each country should see its own land as a possible Mystery Babylon, and repent of its sins, in hope of redeeming its own land.

Every land has a certain degree of slavery going on.

Maybe Babylon is kept a mystery so we can all evaluate our own nations for flaws, and fix the problems.
