Sun Simulator vs Eclipses in Prophecy

What events / situations will REALLY fulfill this prophecy about the sun and moon?

Scripture predicts that

…the sun will dark and the moon will turn red before the great and terrible day of the Lord.  Joel 2:31.

Or, the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, Matthew 24:29

So far,  non scientist teachers (like Pastor John Hagee) have proposed that this would be fulfilled  by solar and lunar eclipses.

The problem with this theory is that solar and lunar eclipses cannot occur at the same time, which is implied by the scriptures.

In fact, the tetrad of blood moons that Hagee discussed, occurred over 2 years (2014-2015), and did not include a solar eclipse occurring with them.

Revelation 6 also gives additional details about this event:

12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

So, there is also an earthquake, falling stars, the heavens opening up like a scroll, and mountains are moving.

So, as interesting and somewhat rare as a lunar tetrad is, it does not fulfill the prophecy about the moon and sun.

Common Occurrence of eclipses make them less “special” for an end time event

Between two and five solar eclipses occur every year, with at least one per eclipse season.

Since the Gregorian calendar was instituted in 1582, years that have had five solar eclipses were 1693, 1758, 1805, 1823, 1870, and 1935.

The next occurrence will be 2206.[42] On average, there are about 240 solar eclipses each century.[43]

How Often Do Lunar Tetrads Happen?

It depends on the century you look at. Italian astronomer Giovanni Schiaparelli calculated that the occurrence of lunar tetrads varies over centuries.

Some have several lunar tetrads, while others do not have any.

For example, the years between 1582 and 1908 did not have any tetrads, whereas the next 250 years—from 1909 to 2156—will have 17 tetrads.

The current century—2001 to 2100—will have eight tetrads. The first tetrad of the 21st century took place in 2003-2004, the second

was in 2014–2015, and the next will be in 2032–2033, with the following eclipses:

April 25/26, 2032

October 18/19, 2032

April 14/15, 2033

October 08, 2033

All eclipses 1900 – 2199

What causes the sun and moon to turn dark then?

The Sun is dying, and as it dies, it gives less light to the moon

a. The corona has gotten smaller over time.

b. The coronal holes have increased

Sun’s corona decreasing over 7 years.

A sun simulator, or a set of them, has been constructed to compensate for the lack of light being emitted by the sun.

A patent for one was approved in 1966, showing that scientists were aware of this situation back in the 1960s.

Conclusion

The prophesied sun and moon turning dark and/or red was meant to be a specific, unusual, unique occurrence that would indicate the end of days.

The dying sun would satisfy and fulfill this unique prophetic requirement.

The sun would affect the amount of light available to the moon.

It is also a warning to the world that it should repent and turn to YHVH God before it is too late.

It is unfortunate that governments are trying to cover this up, because mankind needs this warning, so it can question things, and seek answers.

Observing the rapid decrease in sun intensity over just 7 years, it would appear that the number of years we have left are very few.

Trust Yahshua / Jesus for eternal salvation, and deliverance from the great tribulation to come.
