The people did not want to see the glory on the face of Moses because they were “afraid.”………sad
A Veil was then used to block the glory of Yahweh on the face of Moses to accommodate the people
29 Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses’ hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him.
30 So when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him.
31 Then Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him; and Moses talked with them.
32 Afterward all the children of Israel came near, and he gave them as commandments all that the Lord had spoken with him on Mount Sinai.
33 And when Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.
34 But whenever Moses went in before the Lord to speak with Him, he would take the veil off until he came out; and he would come out and speak to the children of Israel whatever he had been commanded.
35 And whenever the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone, then Moses would put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with Him.

I imagine it was hot in the desert.
It must have been very inconvenient and uncomfortable for Moses to wear that veil all the time.

The Veil was used in the desert tabernacle as well as future temples to block the glory.

The glory of God is the beauty of His spirit. It is not an aesthetic beauty or a material beauty, but it is the beauty that emanates from His character, from all that He is.
Isaiah 43:7 says that God created us for His glory. In context with the other verses, it can be said that man “glorifies” God because through man, God’s glory can be seen in things such as love, music, heroism and so forth—things belonging to God that we are carrying “in jars of clay” (2 Corinthians 4:7).

We are the vessels which “contain” His glory. All the things we are able to do and to be find their source in Him. God interacts with nature in the same way.
Nature exhibits His glory. His glory is revealed to man’s mind through the material world in many ways, and often in different ways to different people.

The glory and the image
Since man was made in the image of Yahweh God, he was created to reflect his glory.
Yahweh God should ideally be able to look at man and see Himself.
But in the desert, and even today, man is afraid of this glory, and therefore cannot reflect the glory as he should.
Man’s sin holds him back.
When we come into the presence and glory of Yahweh God, we see our own sins.
Just like Adam and Eve did, man hides from God because of guilt.

The first veil into the Holy place represents Christ’s first coming and ministry. The second veil into the Holy of Holies represents Christ’s second coming.
The Menorah represents the illumination of the Holy Spirit, and the table of shewbread represents the Eucharist, or communion. The altar of gold represents the baptism of fire and the Holy Spirit.
Outside, The altar of bronze represents the Mosaic revelation, and the bath or sea of water for priests represents the baptism of water introduced by John the Baptist.

Marianne, I know what you mean. He never smoked (big cause of cancer) and drank in his life. He does not look ill or worried either. However, cancer treatment should only be with natural healing. Otherwise, with radiation and chemo, cancer can return and win!

Someone can check a post days, weeks, or months after you posted it and have no idea when it was posted. I only have an idea when this was posted because of its position in my inbox and because of the date of the first comment here.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I just came to read this in my email. I was chatting with a friend by phone last night (it’s 1:29am now) and felt SO grieved that she didn’t seem to want to draw near to God.
Since March 1998, when I had a sudden encounter with God, I have been learning through experience that what Paul said was true when he told the Athenians that God DESIGNED human beings in a very specific way, all “so that they should seek the Lord in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being” (Acts 17:26-28). Amen.
“He is not far from each one of us”. Since that day in 1998, I personally found out that this is truer than most of us know or understand. In fact, after that encounter in 1998, I immediately felt like Jacob had after he had a vision while asleep of a ladder and angels descending and ascending on it; he said in amazement, “Surely, the Lord is in this place, and I DID NOT KNOW IT” (Gen. 28:16).
I told my friend that I have many times seen God show up immediately someone(s) met ‘the requirements’ and that it isn’t difficult to have Him ‘show up’ and begin to move things forward. He is not far; He is willing to act, to provide, to bless– but there are ‘requirements’, and sometimes those requirements require that God comes NEAR in order for [us] to receive whatever good things He has for us. I feel and have felt like my friend’s comfort zone is wanting God…but not in the same vehicle. It’s like she wants to go where God wants her to go and receive all the blessings He has for her, but she wants Him to ride in the vehicle in front of her or behind her, just not in the same vehicle. I felt extremely grieved by that.
When I got off the phone with my friend, I was very frustrated and felt very grieved– pained in my spirit and doing all I could do to quickly recover. I began to think of Moses who went alone up the mountain to meet with God (I’d told my friend the same and asked her why everyone is afraid of God and wants to keep Him away). Most christians don’t want God to come near them. They treat Him like lepers were treated in ancient Israel.
How terribly sad that all of Israel was hiding out at the bottom of the mountain and thinking, “God wants to take away our fun and our peace of mind. We better stay away from Him.” How many people still think the exact same way? They, like most Israel, want to stand in front of their tents, away from the tabernacle, and worship God from ‘a safe distance’. There are christians who will go without their needs or desires all because obtaining those things requires that God comes near.
I have seen God ‘come near’ many times, starting in 1998, and I have seen most people’s negative reaction to Him: “He has come to take from us all the things we love and cherish.” In just one church, in the space of five months, He came near very often (largely because there were satanists in the church), but the pastor’s wife wouldn’t let Him ‘stay’. Singing religious songs and doing all the religious things people do in religious gathering are easy… If God was to ‘come near’, you’d quickly find out who is actually seeking God and who is just playing religion.

About post date, I wrote: “I only have an idea when this was posted because of its position in my inbox and because of the date of the first comment here.” A date on the actual post would be helpful.
And I was talking about those who are saved still keeping God at arm’s length. I talk to christians and can almost always tell (maybe always, because the signs are fairly plain) if they want God at a distance or if they want Him close. The desire for God to be near comes only from God; some christians want God far, and some want Him near. To those who want Him near He gives them the desire for Him to be near and the desire to draw near to Him. Here are some clear signs between the two groups:
1. christians who want God to stay away and never come near them to disrupt their lives and way of life never have a desire to talk about God HIMSELF. They might talk about religious things which many mistake for God, but God is an actual Person. Whenever you like, love, or desire a thing, you want to talk about it, and you want to be near it. Religious meetings, Bible study, prayer, etc., are okay with these christians; but they will leave immediately after (usually not without a lot of superficial socializing in order to fill up in their souls (with human interaction) what lacks in their spirits (interaction with God)) and will have no desire to ‘remain’ in God’s presence like little Samuel and like Joshua did in the tabernacle after Moses left.
2. Christians who want to be near God and who want God to be near them are perfectly and concisely captured in Psalm 42:1-2 which says, “As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for YOU, oh God. My soul thirsts for God, for the Living God. When can I go and meet with God?” This group sees God as an actual Person (“You, oh God”) and longs for Him with not only the spirit (which is naturally created to seek God) but also with the part of a human being that was created to naturally long for human interaction: their soul (“My soul thirsts for God”). For these people, since their desire for God is real, it has bled from their spirit into their soul. They want to be where God is (“When can I go and meet with God”) and are not seeking an experience, religion, or religious interactions but God Himself (“My soul thirsts… for the LIVING God”).
There’s no hint of a real similarity between the two groups since one is perfectly content without God and the other finds contentment only in God, and this passage from Malachi 3 also captures the distinction between the two groups:
“You have said, ‘It is useless to serve God; what profit is it that we have kept His ordinance, and that we have walked as mourners before the Lord of hosts?’ … Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened and heard them; so a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and who meditate on His name. ‘They shall be Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts… Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.”
I’ve long ago noticed that christians who want God to stay away never talk to each other about God. Might seem like a surprise with all the in-person and online talk about God. They talk to each about what’s on their hearts. Christians who want God near talk to each other about God, because God is on their hearts. They actually THINK about God (“those who MEDITATE on His name”) whereas christians who don’t want God near NEVER think about God, and you can tell when they talk, especially in person. Moreover, the fastest way to weed out the “what PROFIT is it” christians from the “those who fear(ed) the Lord” Christians is to set aside times (even very short times, like five minutes) to SEEK God through prayer and waiting. We seek what we desire. Group seeking of God in prayer alone has a way of thinning out the crowd immediately, and any Jezebel hiding in a christian circle will be exposed not long into such a venture.

However in the Millenium, this will become common because of ‘innocence’ coming back into the human race, starting with the Jews who will turn to J.C./Yeshua & I believe this is one reason satan & his cohorts are bound so that the Shikinah Glory can manifest commonly in the lives of men!!!!!

I have experienced this one time only. it was like waves pouring over me. I could not stand up. it is possible. we have to seek HIM.
When people say “Shekinah”, it often comes across as something special. I have to keep looking up the meaning of the word– from Hebrew ‘shachan’ which means ‘to dwell’. ‘Shekinah’, therefore, is when God’s manifest presence dwells, alights, or settles in a place or on a person. Using the real meaning– and not the ‘glorified’ meaning that makes God’s Shekinah seem ‘special’ and out of reach– I have seen and experienced God’s Shekinah MANY times.
I can say this without hesitation because I don’t view God’s Shekinah as ‘out of reach’. When I had my first encounter with God on March 28, 1998, it was His Shekinah. (I hate calling it that because, again, it seems like it’s a ‘thing’ and not a Person.) God stepped off His throne and into the aisle of an Amtrak train right behind my left shoulder towards 12am while everyone else was asleep and I was en route from Baltimore, MD to Atlanta, GA. Because of what He called me to (as well as because I grew up in Africa where the supernatural is nothing special), I never thought the supernatural or Manifest Presence was ‘special’. It’s just God manifesting so that humans can sense Him. It’s supposed to be normal to believers; not a common occurrence but a normal occurrence.
I’ve seen and experienced God’s Manifest Presence show up many times in christian gatherings only to be ignored or driven away. If we didn’t think it such a special occasion, I would give a list of at least twenty times from 1998 till now that I experienced God’s Manifest Presence; but I’ll give just a few. We have to come to see God and His Presence as normal and not something we end up ‘worshiping from afar’ like the ancient Israel did the prophets– honoring them but not living like them or wanting them near.
1.) From 1998 to 2009, I had five foundational Manifest Presence ENCOUNTERS (or five that God highlighted). I haven’t had any foundational encounters since 2009 but have continued to have EXPERIENCES. All five foundational encounters indicate aspects of what God called me to. I won’t share them but will share where each one occurred. The first was on an Amtrak train as I was traveling in 1998; the second was in a Wendy’s where I worked as I was serving in 1999; the third was in a movie theater as my best friend and I watched ‘Prince of Egypt’ in 2002; the fourth was while I was walking into a library in 2008; and the fifth was as I sat in the back of a small church reading ‘Azusa Street’ by Frank Bartleman in 2009.
2.) The longest stretch of continual experiences of the Shekinah or God’s Manifest Presence was a two-to-three-month stretch in 2000. It began while I was working at Wendy’s (1998 – 2000) where the second foundational experience occurred. I was already in my wilderness experience and so began taking my Bible to work. The first day I took my Bible to work, I went on break to the break room with my lunch. I a.) opened my Bible, then b.) I said a very brief prayer before eating. When I opened my eyes, God’s Manifest Presence had settled on my head and shoulders. It can’t be described, but it was very heavy so that it was hard to lift my head (though not like an actual heavy weight). The Presence remained on me through break as I ate and read the Bible. When I came out the break room, my employees could see it in my face and commented but didn’t know what it was. From that day on, every time a.) I opened the Bible and then b.) prayed over my food, before my eyes opened, “the Lord [was] there”. This continued after I left Atlanta and returned to Baltimore where I told my younger brother about it then demonstrated it to him when we went to a restaurant. There was no Bible there, but when I’d said a short prayer over our food and we opened our eyes, the Manifest Presence was there. My younger brother was aware of it, and just like in Wendy’s anyone within about three feet could also sense it.
There’s definitely something to be said about a combination of the Word, prayer, and food (no wonder the early Church fellowshipped with the Word, prayer, and breaking bread). I still don’t quite know what it is, but there’s something extremely special to me about Jesus’s appearance to the two disciples on the road to Emmaus. Every time I read it, I turn into a little child and start saying, “That was SO cool!” Lol. This part is the most exciting:
“Now it came to pass, as [Jesus] sat at the table with [the two disciples], that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. And they said to one another, ‘Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?'” (Luke 24:30-32.)
How cool is that? So, let’s not make too much of little things. Israel was sinning with God’s Manifest presence nearby while Moses was meeting with God Himself. And I’m a Gentile, so let’s not think that everything is going to come from the Jews. The Twelve apostles were sent firstly to the Jews and then later branched out the Gentiles. But Paul was sent to the Gentiles specifically and yet was given ‘greater Grace’ than all of them. As he said after he finally met the Twelve apostles, “I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the Grace of God I am what I am, and His Grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the Grace of God which was with me. Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed” (1Cor. 15:9-11). Whether God ministers or manifests through Jew or Gentile, the important thing is that GOD is the one who is glorified before others.
By the way, that was an NIV that I was opening from 1998 to 2001 (in 2001, someone stole my NIV and I couldn’t find one at the store and so bought an NKJV which, as I learned later, was God purposely moving me along from NIV to NKJV). It was only while I opened the NIV (in 2000) that God’s Manifest Presence settled on me for at least three whole months (an extremely weighty Presence that is indescribable and that others nearby could also easily sense). God taught me with the NIV. Whatever version I open, no matter how diluted or poisoned it might be, the Holy Spirit still teaches me, because whether we listen to people or read things or receive dreams and visions, our learning is to come only from the Holy Spirit (1John 2:20-21, 26-27). It never happened with any other Bible versions.
So, the Bible version isn’t the important thing; the Holy Spirit teaching the person who reads the Bible [version] is the important thing. Psalm 119:130 says that it’s only when the Holy Spirit actually ‘opens the Word to us’– as Jesus did to the disciples on the road to Emmaus (open the Word, pray, eat) that we learn anything, so the Bible version isn’t the issue at all: “The unfolding (entrance, entering in) of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” I had far more understanding of the Bible as a teenager than most of the adults around me (KJV-toting Baptists included), and I only had an NIV. But I had the Holy Spirit who the early Church had long before King James decided to start printing.
So, from the beginning, God has been exposing the religious spirit, man’s traditions, and dead religion no matter where they hide– whether in christianity, catholicism, mormonism, Judaism, or Messianic christianity. Dead religion and religious works make dead people; God is God of the living, not the dead. God has been exposing and judging dead religion to me every step of the way, like when Jesus told me in 2012 to leave the institutional churches and then, when I tried to return months later, brought to me what the angels in Luke 24 said to the women who were seeking Jesus in the tomb: “Why do you seek the Living among the dead?” I was taken aback: “Did that come from Jesus? Could Jesus call christians ‘dead’?” I asked Him to prove whether this came from Him (as I had when He told me in 2007 not to pray for a ministry couple and needed to know if God can tell you to not pray for someone and He showed me in the Bible that God does tell His people to not pray for certain people). He immediately took me to Revelation 3:1 where He says to a christian church, “I know your deeds; you have a reputation that you are alive, but you are dead.” Dead, dead, dead. Lol. Only God has the boldness to be impartial and show no favoritism. I intend to continue that faithful tradition of exposing the religious spirit and rejecting dead religion (which pretends to be of God but actually rejects Jesus Christ) everywhere I go.

Well, sure, in Revelation, the angel is telling the truth about Christians. CHRISTIANITY IS PAGAN AND ALWAYS WAS! “Come out of HER My people . . .or receive the plagues!” Yahshua speaking from Heaven in Revelation 18:4 and following verses (My Emphasis and Paraphrasing)
The King James Bible is good for everyone? NOT for the Puritans and Pilgrims who had the original texts (scrolls?)! They were NOT Christians! In 1620 when the KJV came out, the Pilgrims LEFT England because of its PAGAN NAMES of deity. (King James was a pervert and an evil man.) The Pilgrims did not celebrate the pagan Thanksgiving Day. They kept Succoth, The Feast of Tabernacles for eight days.
After I learned the truth I purchased a version with the Restored Names, The Holy Name Bible. (eBay and Amazon) There are now a number of them out there. I like this one because it has the KJV format, a more easy “tool” for me to witness with.
It DOES matter about the Names of the Father and Son! Remember the
verse, “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”? How much LIGHT is there on your path with the names of idolatry in your lamp, the Bible?” Just saying. . .

If you are going to Heaven, I don’t want to be there. With the sincerest agreement, I agree. I haven’t read or responded to any of Jayna’s comments in months (and will continue that tradition for eternity). I beg God that He will give me the GREAT (GREAT) honor of not having to read them responding to my comments. My comments are written mostly for myself (believe it or not). When I read most of my comments, they feed my spirit and literally build me up (Paul said, “Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up”). Since I’m not getting any spiritual nourishment from any ‘fellowship’ in real life right now, my own ‘encouragement and admonition’ to others actually is my own and only spiritual nourishment right now.

The Victorians wore white a lot? Did NOT know that. Queen Victoria wore only black for decades because of the early death of her husband. Tough color to wear all of the time!
Interesting. The Victorians considered an “evangelical” aka Protestant faith to be fashionable during their time. I no longer have the book but a book I had spoke about how Christianity was more of a status symbol to them. They believed they were the Chosen of God. Reminds me of the upper echelon of the American church today…Maybe that is why in movies they are depicted wearing bright beautiful colors. They would go to church and enjoy the sermon and hope that the Pastor would dine with them or something like that.
Unfortunately I lived most of my life in the church system because my parents taught me that but I realize how depraved living a life like that is….with all the suffering that’s going in the world. I’m afraid it is probably too late for me to do any major good deeds but maybe I can do some small ones.

In Victorian times as with earlier ones, Christianity was Roman Catholicism and totally pagan. It must have been wonderful when Oliver Cromwell was ruling. NO PAGAN CHRISTIAN holy days, no crosses! I have read that England did well under him. However too many wanted Christianity again. Charles II came into power a Christian zealot. He burned and beheaded the saints. (The Jesuits have changed the facts into lies everywhere!) Members are sometimes called “Congregation of Yahweh” or “Assembly of Yahshua.” The word Church is not in the names because it means “a building” in Greek. My ancestor served as Chaplain under Cromwell. Oliver Cromwell was probably the only TRUE believer to rule England. Sadly, I suspect that he was poisoned, probably by someone very close to him. The Christian king that came after him, Charles II, killed the TRUE believers (NOT CHRISTIANS!) like my ancestor. He had to escape for his life coming to America. He and his were the bright ones in my family history. This truth was NOT passed down to me through my family. I had to learn it from strangers.
The Puritans and Pilgrims were Protestants. Protestants were NEVER Christians! They knew the history of Xmas with Antiochus Epiphanes sacrificing a pig in Yahweh’s Temple on December 25, 168 B.C. They must

Greetings Marianne and Everyone. This FLU virus whether man made or natural is REAL and IS killing people. My younger brother’s wife died from it in a hospital near Denver last week. My brother had it first and was in the hospital. The daughter (late 30’s) lives next door and has a “boyfriend” and two brothers are nearby. The WHOLE family could die. My brother and wife were very mean to me, actually cheated me and others. They hated the Bible truth and me. I only saw them a couple of times in adulthood. I believe that they all claim to be Roman Catholic. My sister in law apparently had Xmas trees up in the house all year. (Yahweh HATES Xmas.) She had Alzheimer’s and probably was so confused before death. The family has an antique business on Facebook and You Tube. That’s why I know about her death. I would NOT wish this plague on anyone! Christians who have rejected the truth about Yahweh and Yahshua staying in Christianity are in special danger. This is because they have “The Mark of the Beast.” Yahshua said that those who do will suffer the plagues. This FLU virus could be ONE of them! It is REAL but the government’s “solutions” will be FAR WORSE! Please don’t take them!
