Visions of Deceased Loved Ones

Can a departed loved one appear to someone left behind in a vision?

Dreams are common among those grieving for a lost loved one. We have dreams while we sleep.

But is a vision of them possible, in which they appear for a moment in time to comfort the grieving one?

A vision occurs while one is awake, although there is such a thing as a night vision.

Gen 46:2 And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here [am] I.

Job 4:13 In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men,

Dan 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it [was] diverse from all the beasts that [were] before it; and it had ten horns.

Dan 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, [one] like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him…

I am not aware of anything in the bible where a departed loved one would return to visit someone with a message or bring comfort.

Mankind was visited by spirits, such as angels.

There was one account after the resurrection, that the deceased saints rose from the dead and walked around the town. I am not sure how long this lasted.

Mat 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

Mat 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Modern day psychics and mediums “call upon the dead” which I consider just bringing up demonic counterfeits of the deceased.

But can real loved ones, as spirits, return to give a final message to one still alive in this world?

2 examples:

1. I recently experienced a friends’ death back around Thanksgiving time (November, 2009). Her 25 year old cerebral palsy disabled son just told me (February, 2010) that he had been crying for his mother, and asking God to help him, because he missed his mother.

At some point, the room became dark, and his mother appeared in glorious apparel. She then “read a letter” to him to comfort him, and tell him that she had to die, and leave him behind, so that he would learn to do things on his own.

She also advised him to return to a certain church campground where he had been before, where yearly revivals took place. He said when the vision was finished, he felt a tremendous peace.

2. When I was younger, and still living with my parents, my grandmother died. My mother had fallen asleep in the living room on the sofa. She awoke to see a figure in the hallway, dressed in a white nightgown. She ignored it because she thought it was me, up for some reason.

The figure went over to one of the pictures in the hallway and pointed to it.  It then walked off.

She fell back asleep, until awakened by a phone call from my grandfather. My grandmother had gotten up in the middle of the night, fallen, and died.

When my mother went home to the funeral, she found money behind the picture frame in my grandmother’s hallway, just as the dream/vision indicated. My parents were able to buy a new car that they needed with the money.

Traditional thinking over the centuries has allowed room for certain rare experiences, since there is some biblical basis for them:

1. Jesus can appear to us (good), since Jesus appeared to his followers after the resurrection

2. the devil or one of his demons can appear (not good), since the devil appeared to Jesus to tempt him. The devil also appeared to Eve.

3. an angel can appear to us (good), since angels have been recorded many times bringing messages to humans.

So, now, with the permission of God, can a loved one appear to us?

What do you think?

I do not propose a conclusive answer. I just present this for further thought.

I would like to share some thing 26 years ago my father in law which really wasn’t good to me thy raised me when my mother died lived two homes from us he never came over to my house i always want to theirs he kept coming over for about three weeks sat in this recliner that i had then just stopped coming then he past away i was wondering if he was trying to tell me some thing but i don’t know every night after his death i keep waking up two three times a night i just want back to sleep one night i couldn’t so i want out of my room saw some thing in the chair were he always seat i marked it of as being half a sleep but i keep getting woke and keep seeing that then i seen the hole person it was him just as if he never left i removed that chair through it away and never saw him again

    • My great grandma orange hunter givens was not eating and one day on the 11 of January 2016 I had said to my mom ” great grandma is going to die in a few days ” and my mom said to do not say that and a few days later on the 15 of January my great grandma past my mom was creeped and now my mom has a therapypist in my school at my home and when someone is doing something unusual I get the feeling thy will pass in a few days and my mom has me telling people when they will die I wish not to but ” Death comes in threes my great grand child ” my great grandma used to say. And I still don’t understand she is 87 and I wish to see her once more but. I also see family I did not know but I always get this feeling that I did.😓 my friends say its thy gift of God and I tell them I’m not worthy to have such power.😌

  3. The body dies … the soul knows not death.

  4. An angel of the Lord would never take the form of a loved one who has passed away for this would cause confusion to mankind.
But an evil spirit would certainly take the form of a loved one. first to gain trust and then would be able to decieve you.
For evil spirits roam this earth and they have all the information that is required about your loved one, and through this way he would make you mentally disturbed. So, never seek to converse with any manifestation for you would truely be deceived.

    • I did not seek to converse with my husband who died. But two hours after his death, I was walking down my hall at home, and his spirit walked through me, walking fast. He was demonstrating to me that now he could walk. He had not been able to walk for several years.
He also made me feel how young and healthy he was, and happy. He did not say anything. That was a singular experience, not repeated, but important to me.

A similar thing happened with my father. At the time of his cremation, several days after his death, I was in the kitchen at home. He seemed to come and put his hands on my back, to let me feel that he was now well. Then he left, and never returned. That was 26 years ago.

This was important concerning my father, because he had returned to voiced faith just before death and I was the only witness.

My husband was a Christian who had faith at the end, so I did not need his visit, but we were so close, and I so alone after his death, that I needed to know he was well and with God. We had been isolated from most people since we had returned to Christ.
I still mourn him and long to be reunited in Heaven.

    • What chapter in the bible shud i read if something was to happen?

      • dear kaykay

I am not sure what your question means, but if you were to encounter any spirit, I would first pray and ask that its true nature be made known to you.

If it is something from God, to give you comfort in a time of sorrow, then ok. But if it is something that has moved in to take advantage of you during a time of sorrow, then God will show you that.

    • I am sick of hearing this sort of ‘paranoid’ theory. If good spirits, Jesus and Angels can appear to us, then our beloved ones can as well. I have had encounters, not from calling upon them, from spirits since childhood; most recently my beloved mother who is my soul mate. She suffered a long time with stage IV breast cancer. I KNOW it is my mom, not some demon, ok. Loved ones on the other side often watch over us, come to comfort us by giving signs and also come to warn us. I know people who, by the God given visitation of their loved ones, have found new hope to live out their lives here, and have been prevented from committing suicide due to their pain. If this is of “the devil”, then that is incredibly nonsensical. The fruit is GOOD and thank the Lord that these visitations are obviously allowed. It is illogical to put all “visitations” and “signs” into the mentality of it being of “the devil”. Until you go to the other side, you will not understand it all, so until then, it is hurtful and insulting even, to good people like myself in DEEP pain from the physical separation of their loved one. Yes, you should be careful though, because there is good and bad, and yes, bad can manifest itself appearing to be something else. In the meantime, try to be open to the fact, from my and others’ experiences, that God does allow our loved ones to calm, comfort and help us along this journey here.

      • You are so right and I Too have received many visits from my Grandson since he passed over to the other side. He sends me messages, clues and Warnings through electronics like my cell phone, the television and lamps, one night he threw the blanket on me after I kicked it off so I know that was a good thing and a sign that he was just looking out for his grandmother and when his son was born he flicked the tv and cable box on and off 6 times the baby was born at 6:31 he also sends pictures to my cell phone to give me clues and to let me know he’s ok cause I also wanted to go with him when he first passed but I have to take care of his little toddler siblings so I know I must stay strong but it’s very hard cause they too are grieving over him he was only 17 and I raised him in my home 14 yrs so he was like my son and I know my life will never be the same but the good part about all of it is he believed in God and He prayed before his departure so I believe he is in Good Hands with our Heavenly Father and his other siblings and I believe he brought them back here cause after his funeral I started seeing the most beautiful Butterflies in my back yard and a blue jay visited me for 2 weeks after also.

      • You are right Joanna for I’ve had many visions etc. after my Son’s death & even before. However, those who are not fortunate enough to have a vision, etc do not believe in them & think they’re hoaxes. Bernadette

        • So true!

        • It’s been a few months since I’ve visited this site and a few things have happened. My plant that I’ve had since my deceased Son was born (40 years ago) suddenly began to bloom white fragrant flowers. It was the 5th anniversary of my Son’s death. It bloomed 2 weeks before & on the date of his death, they fell off.

      • I agree, organized religion has a habit of scaring the bejebies out of us and I choose to believe that god and my loved one’s on the other side are there for me, we talk always – no visual visitations – but we communicate just the same – many centuries ago it was common practice to communicate after earth death, now we have been so drugged up with chemicals, which block our intuition – read swedenborg – life after death.

      • My son died in May of this year May 2015. A few days after his death he called me 2 times . Once I heard it another time my husband heard it. I felt like I could fly after I heard his voice. It may have been an angel speaking for him , but it sounded just like my son. If someone put a gun to my head, I would still swear it was my son. I believe in God the Master of the world. I know Jesus let me hear my sons voice, to comfort me. We also saw a large butterfly very late in the evening right @ my sons house, he was very large and beautiful and he circled about 3 times right in our face and flew away…. Before my son died he told us he was flying up above our house , looking down and saw our barn , our horses and the back of his house. He said, he saw beautiful purple flowers , beautiful stones and gold that kept going in a circle getting bigger and bigger. He said it was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen. He died just after. Hes been dead 6 months today … He was a born again christian as we all are . We strongly believe in Heaven… I know my Heavenly Father . When I die I will be with my son and my parents… for they wait for us . Thank u Jesus for loving me and for dieing for me…

        • jane

          wonderful story.

may god continue to bless you and comfort you.

        • I lost my beautiful Daughter July 10, 2015. I had to fly to Florida to bring her back to Indiana for burial. Iv heard her voice call me twice, I had a vivid dream of her calling me to sit by the window in late July. She smiled at me and told me to look outside. She showed me large features of snow falling. My daughter and I love the snow. She reached her hand out the window to catch snow on her hand smiled at me & vanished. I woke up on the couch & looked for her & outside. It was a hot July day. She has come to her little sister in vivid dreams four times since her death. The last time was the early morning of the sixth month anniversary of her death. She let her know shes fine and in Heaven. My youngest daughter runs to me happy and excited when her sister comes to her. The priest was here blessing the house the day before the last dream. Iv been crying and praying for my daughter constantly and visiting her tomb. We use holy wather in our home and i put it on her tomb as well. I pray to God to let us know she’s safely in Heaven..

          • colette

I think the dreams you and your daughter are having are letting you know your daughter is ok, in heaven. God has a way of doing this to comfort those left behind. Sometimes he uses other methods.

the post I wrote here described a loved one who died, and I was sure sure if he “made it” or not….and I was given a beautiful assurance on the day he was being buried.

Lavender, Spices, and the Prodigal Son

take the comfort of God in these dreams you have…..it is God sending you love and the assurance you need your way

            • I lost my 21 year old son in 2014, and several weeks after his death, I had a vivid dream. He told me that he was happy, and he told me to write down a poem to my younger son. I did write it down, and still cherish it. I am still struggling with his death; however, I know that he is at peace.

              • christine

I am so sorry for your loss. he was so young….you must feel much pain.

I am so happy to hear about this blessing, and hope God continues to heal your grieving heart.

        • Love your story God Bless You

      • Amen..thank you so much for you conformation..I have had loved ones coming to help and give me advice and good and lifesaving counsel since I was around 26 yrs old with 2 children and divorced…People who have no experience should not even be in a discussion about spirits..My father first appeared to be..and warned be about the hard life I face ahead and told me to keep my self in a position to take care of me and my children..good credit..valid drivers license..which I did..and he appeared again to let me know that he was happy and never wanted to return to earthly life even if he could..yet acknowledged my missing him…My cousin died..and returned to warned me that she noticed that I was picking up a drinking habit, that I need to stop..I did..My New husbands deceased ex came to me and advised me not to leave my husband..that he had some rough edgeds..but he was a good man and provides..I am so glad I didn’t..10 yrs married now and Happy…all of my three decease brothers visited me..One was an electrican..so he was able to get my attention throught..computer..cell..clocks..ONE, came through a secret Joke we had..and left some articles for me to see..which I showed to my husband..and one came in anger with Husband..who was still be ” Fixed” and caused him problems with his automobiles..and a broken fence..and My husband being a non-believer, had to acknowledge their presence..and we bother her their ” SWISH” sound as they left..all of experiences with my brothers were within about a week..I had recently lost my third brother..and prayed hard, and asked the Lord to give me some peace..and this is what he did for me..And my husband gave me a card yesterday..acknowleging my special gift..and he is finally at peace, since I realized the gift and started praying and burning blessed candles..and blessing oil over him and many others..Thank you for this sight..I needed to discuss this with other beleivers..I have aliented Christians from my life..because they cannot convince me that this is just the devil trying to deceive me..BTW I also had an outer body experience..I left my body..and looked in the mirror ..seeing a distorted face and body..fell to the floor praying to the Lord..and woke up in my bed..God showed my what the demonic toxic relationship would do to me…I don’t think Satan would have cared…I will be making my 68th Birthday Monday..and I praise the lord..because he is a master communicator..and his knowledge surpasses all..

      • Jesus is the only one that should be your comfort after a loved ones passing. If you need a loved ones “spirit or presence” to comfort you, then your trust in the Lord is weak and the loved one who has passed has become an idol.

        • The Lord is the only one I trust

        • Have you considered the possibility that demons may have whispered in your ear to say something like that?Matthew 5:4 – Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Also…1 Thessalonians For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.”

          Encourage one another!

        • Amen to that!

        • Amen to that! Agree..

        • Thank you.. Very well said, I was truly wondering when I was going to stumble on a more Christ worthy comment. People can grieve so in depth that they conjure up demons that parade as an angel of light… I too have grieved very dearly and thank God the true living God that I wasn’t fooled by evil familiar spirits.. I am hoping though that many of the previous person(s) behind many of comments I have read; if have faith in Christ to get back to the Word of God in the Bible because they have strongly strayed from the True Gospel…. I found comfort from the LORD of Hosts not in a spirit of the dead, The Father would never send a dead person to comfort the living, rather would He send a living to comfort the living through the LIVING SPIRIT OF GOD… May you all find peace and comfort in the Lord thy God

      • I agree with Joanna. If all spirits were bad, what would be the point of testing them as in John. It would just say don’t trust any spirit. Also, there is this : “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:13-14)

The prohibition is in using necromancers as a go between. So go through Jesus and you are safe by definition. Ask Jesus for a sign. I dare a fundamentalist to contort the word to say that is wrong.

Furthermore, what exactly is necromancy. It is raising up the deceased in order to foretell the future. It is a specific act from a specific profession for a specific purpose.

I submit that asking Jesus for a little comforting sign from a departed loved one does not fall under prohibited conduct in the bible. Maybe even asking to be taken to the loved one instead of the other way around.

      • Thank u

      • Our loved ones DO visit us from the spirit world. My soulmate Matthew, he passed away when we were young before we had the chance to marry, comes to visit me in times I am very depressed and hurting, which is always over his loss that my heart suffers extremely! It’s going on ten years and I am still waiting to be with him again, in Heaven. I love him still SO MUCH with all the love I have!! My mom, she passed away exactly a year ago this evening, she visited me a few times, too, but unfortunately she visits me not from Heaven. It was explained to me, from the Lord, that my mom didn’t make it to Heaven because she never shared her wealth with the poor. She was very wealthy with money my grandparents left to her. God does allow spirits to visit us, to guide us and to share our testimony with others. Let no one judge what God reveals to others, because God gives wisdom and guidance to those He chooses to, and for His purpose. Amen.

      • Ty for saying that! I have had experiences that I believe are my mother comforting me. I am torn because many Christians say it is of the devil. My experiences heal my pain. How can that be evil?!?!

        • d

anything seems possible if it has heaven’s permission.

I figure if demons can communicate with us, which happens daily all over the world, loving spirits can as well.

I find these experiences not as common, but when they do, they have a purpose.

always just check and be sure any “message” is biblical, there are spirits called familiar spirits that imitate departed loved ones and come to deceive.

you have to test the spirits to be sure they are holy ones.

  5. I know that the traditional hard line heresy hunter approach might be to say that all such things are evil spirits impersonating etc. I think that it is possible for a visitation, although we should always be careful to be sure. In the first example you gave, it would seem to me that was the real deal, as an evil spirit would most likely not give advise to go to a church campground. Also, we are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses. Perhaps from time to time, especially after a death, a visitation might be allowed. My mom just passed away and I had lights coming on in the house and she appeared in a dream in which she thanked me for caring for her…seemed like a good thing. After my wife’s father died, it seemed like something moved and we felt like he was there at one time, as if to say he was ok. In the final analysis, I would say that we should be careful, but these things can happen.

  6. No these things cannot happen you said, well you are wrough for faith in Christ is believing that are love ones are with Jesus.

  7. It is a proven fact that these appearances have been happening from the beginning. Samuel was called up by the witch of Endor., if it was actually Samuel is debatable. so if you have this happen and have to ask if this is from god i would lean toward it coming from the camp of the enemy for sure .remember the devil comes as an angel of light.

  8. NO THE DEAD CANNOT APPEAR BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT ALIVE AS SPIRITS IN THE SPIRIT WORLD. THEY ARE TOTALLY UNCONSCIOUS IN THE GRAVE WIPED OUT OF EXISTENCE AND NO LONGER EXIST. THEY ONLY WAY THEY CAN APPEAR TO US IS IF THEY ARE RAISED IN BODY FROM THE GRAVE. JESUS SAID A TIME WILL COME WHEN THOSE IN THE GRAVES WILL HEAR HIS VOICE AND WILL COME FORTH TO RESURRECTION. THE APOSTLES SAID IF THERE IS NO RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD THOSE WHO HAVE DIED HAVE PERISHED. THE DEAD ARE NOT ALIVE AS SPIRITS AND CANNOT APPEAR TO US. DREAMS OF THE DEAD CAN BE FROM EVIL SPIRITS OR FROM OUR OWN MIND.

    • I believe that the Bible substantiates the position which Joanna has stated, that the dead are not alive. They have no consciousness until the future resurrections. . Job 7:10 states that a dead person “shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more”

Therefore any “visits” people receive from their loved ones must be from deceiving spirits. The Bible speaks of “familiar spirits” which counterfeit the dead. The lady of Endor had such a spirit which counterfeited Samuel.

      • so wrong in many levels unless im a medium and dont know it everytime a loved one has passed in my family i have been able to see them in my dreams in many different occassions i have experienced this. plus, several years shortly after i had my daughter i fell into a deep depression i wanted to die, mind you i lived alone with a 8yr old, a 2yr old and a 6month old. it was about 5 or 6am i was in my bed when heard an instrumental music so beautiful then a voice telling me to get up but it was child like. My kids were all asleep. Another time i was in my recliner home alone, i saw a white cloud formimg in my kitchen hallway before i knew i was facing white feathers coming out a back (it was an angel that hugged me) Many times my deceased father has come to and has spoken to me in my dreams. Recently i lost my mother in law due to cancer Dec 19,2011 shortly after her funeral i was in her house i was alone in her kitchen, I whispered , i really miss you! when i got home that night i was not fully asleep i just closed my eyes i saw her in her living room healthy walking behind me to her kitchen and smiled and pointed at me. I just lost my father in law her husband a week ago Dec 28,2012 i miss him so much. waiting now…

        • I’m sorry but, you are wrong. Angels DO NOT have feathers! That is a man made illustration. If you saw an actual angel in it’s true form, you would be terrified. Don’t believe me? Read the scriptures on what angels really look like (ie: seraphim and cherabim, which are NOT cute little babies). Also, angels are God’s messengers. Every time He has sent an angel to someone with a message, they were in human form. However, they were never in the guise of a known friend or loved one. If anyone sees a manifestation of a deceased loved one, it is demonic spirit trying to deceive you. Also, when people die, they do not become angels. God created the angels way before he made man (also explained in scripture), and no where in the bible is it found that people become angels when they die. If you are saved, your spirit goes to Heaven. If you are unsaved, your spirit goes to Hell. Jesus spoke many times in the New Testament on Hell; Lazarus and the rich man is just one example.

        • Well good luck.. You’re waiting for a visit from a familiar spirit, and that familiar spirit knows it.. You will see it……..

    • You Are very wrong my friend My Mom died 12 yrs ago and she came to me After she had passed on she was wearing the longest dress, and she was surrounded by a light that lite my whole house up. I cant tell you the whole story it would take to long so Fast foward 9 yrs my Mom, came to me once again in a dream telling me it was time for my Dad, to come home, in the dream i begged and pleaded for her to beg god to let My dad stay she told me that could not happen but god would let him stay for one more day well i woke up ThanksGiving morning blowing the conversation i had with my mom as a very bad Dream well skip forward a few more hours we ate dinner all was good and i sat in the chair thinking i’m glad that was only a dream! Well was i wrong that night my Dad had a stroke. Now satan would not come to me and try to prepare me for my dad dieing.Believe me i know it was my Mom who came to me she had the saddest look on her face i have ever seen on anyone she even told me she was not sad for my dad but she was sad that her kids had to be with out a mom and dad

      • Taylor… it is the kindness of the Lord and His love for His children, even for Abram that He reveals sometimes to His children things He will do in their lives at times…I think also for us to pray according to His will …there is only a humble heart of thanksgiving that Heis kind enough to do so. And the word used below is abad….He reveals in visions or dreams to those who are His servants… as He chooses….

He told you what He was about to do in your life…keep your heart on the Lord Taylor for He loves you enough to speak to you…a child of faith..

Amos 3:7, NKJV. “Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His (abad) servants the prophets

        strongs exhaustive hebrew ….abad; a servant — X bondage, bondman, (bond-)servant, (man-)servant.

nas exhaustive hebrew….abad/ebed – servants, slave, servants

        http://biblelexicon.org/amos/3-7.htm

        http://biblesuite.com/hebrew/5650.htm

Did you know that we are His servants that bear the awl mark and that serve the Lord forever for we have given our all to Him because we love Him who saved us and would not be parted from Him so when He speaks to His children, His servants, it is because He loves us so much He died for us…. so we serve Him because we love Him.

        Exodus 21:5, 6…..
        And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children;
        I will not go out free: Then his master shall bring him unto the judges;
        he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the doorpost;
        and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl;
and he shall serve him forever.”

      • This was a beautiful, and good example of a real visitation from a loved one to communicate, comfort, etc. Of course your mom would be sad for the loved ones left here because of how painful the physical separation would be. For your father, it was a gift to come home and mom just let you know he’d be ok and that it was just his time to come back home.

      • Yes Taylor, I believe as you do as I have seen visions & messages from the spirit world. One of them was the face I saw of my Uncle who had passed. It was just his face on the wall looking at me. I put down the newspaper which I had been going through at the time. I had wondered why, of all people, he would want to show himself to me. Unless, I thought, he wanted to tell me something. In thinking about it the only thing I came up with was something must’ve happened to my Aunt (his Wife). As I pondered this reality the phone rang. It was my Mother, she said “Someone died in the family” I said, “Yes, I know it was Ruth” My Mother said “Oh, did they call you first to tell you before me?” I said, “No, I saw Wilson’s face appear to me & that’s the only conclusion I came up with” This was not evil but helpful. As far as the evil Satan wanting to gain our trust….NO, he is evil & never thinks of doing kind things, ever.

        • Well I have an 9yr old whos dad passed away mid october. To date he has been saying he sees his dad EVERYWHERE. While in skool, at the playground, while talking to myself. Even when I have parent teacher conferences. I believe due to the way he describes certain situations. He said his dad said he wished he didnt die, and really missed him and his brother. My son said yesterday he just looks different w/out his mustache. His father told him hes back young again. He explains his dad comes with a bright light. He also said at the playground he flew down and had really big wings. He says he wants me to tell his teacher bcuz she thinks hes daydreaming all the time, but infact its his dad talking to him. And he says I always listen when he talks blocking everyone out. So u guys say what you want. I KNOW MY SONS IMAGINATION COULDNT REVEAL THESE THINGS.

          • candyce

yes it sounds real. god must be doing this for a reason. perhaps for the comfort of your son. but this is a good thing, so enjoy the blessing while it lasts.

        • The dead body knows nothing but the spirit lives on forever Spirit Never Dies

      • I’m a believer in your story….thanks for sharing

    • Candyce: God can do all things and if God thinks you should know something about your dear departed then He and only He will let it happen. God bless those who are not fortunate enough to experience this particular miracle of our Lord & Savior…….hope your loved one appears to you soon….pray to Our Lord God, maybe then you too will receive this miracle.

    • Only the dead body is unconscious you sound so stupid we are made in God’s image the spirit lives on forever the spirit Never Dies

  9. False. the martyred souls call out to god to be avenged and are not TOTALLY UNCONSCIOUS REV 6 vs. 10 and 1 Samuel 28 vs. 11 – 19 the bible states clearly that Samuel was raised, seen , talked to and prophesied to Saul. and to say the dead no longer exist is crazy , the rich man and Lazarus are another example in Luke 16 vs 19 – 31. Paul states to be absent with the body is to be present with the lord. 2 Corinthians 5 vs. 8 also Jesus came in the flesh to Abraham and ate physical food prepared for him while 2 angles destroyed Sodom. Genesis ch 18. After the physical body dies the soul and spirit live on until the second death which is the great white throne judgment Rev 20 vs. 11 – 15. Now my personal opinion is people are seeing demons. Just my opinion though.

    • Jesus also spoke with Mose and Elijah.
God is a god of the living and not the dead as he said in antother place.

  10. I hope i don’t sound harsh but i think any scripture quoted should always be backed up with chapter and versus and then we can debate from there.

    • I dnt knw why you debate about something u all doesn’t knw dreams are dreams not real n no one has ever died n came back flesh n blOod to tell us what was going on if we die except for Jesus who tolD his desciples dat he is going to prepare the place for them so let’s live in the present life its a journey n its full of suprises. N we have to injure them dat is y we r all living so if u knw wat was gooing to happen on ur future u wnt work hard or pray So y do we want the deadd to give us signs nxt we will ask them to give us wealth n we knw dat is determined by God n dis web is about dreams not debate God himself he said we mustnt debate about his words

  11. Yes with the permission of god a deceased loved one can appear to a living loved one . because all things are possible with god. except he will not bypass the guidelines he established .

  12. some people have gifts that they can see the unknown.my mother came back to me.my father came back to see my mother before she passed over.If a person don’t experience anything they want understand.God Bless

  13. Yes i understand what is happening family members are appearing to relatives but the question is weather or not is what we are seeing is actually family members and not spirits ( demons ). i have to say with absolutely certainty they are not our family members. simply because if a family member could appear they would ( because i know i would want too ) give some enlightenment to my family member, not just to appear and not offer any spiritual insight but to make an impact on their life. not cause confusion Satan is the author of confusion. remember the rich man wanted to return to warn his family but Jesus stated even if Moses came back they still would not believe. also anytime god appeared to some one it was a complete life changing event. with no question in their heart or mind.

    • Your nuts to think it is evil, it is your loved one

    • When it comes to pass you know the Lord has spoken, for it is He that gathers the dead and no other…..many times His children just do not know what to do when He speaks to them because they are often a little afraid and often do not know what to do with it. …prayer is the best thing to take up for …the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

      18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
      Ephesians 6: 17

      And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children;
      I will not go out free: Then his master shall bring him unto the judges;
      he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the doorpost;
      and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl;
and he shall serve him forever.”

Joel 2:28, NKJV. “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.”

1 Thessalonians 5:20-21, NKJV. “Do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything. Hold on to the good.”

John 15:15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Genesis 18:17 Then the LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?

    • Hhb, it was Abraham’s spirit who said that, not Jesus. Note, that he did not say that it was impossible for them to communicate with his surviving loved ones but that the message the rich man wanted conveyed would not be believed. Also, if you believe that passage, then you have to believe that it is possible for deceased people to continue to exist, have desires, and to communicate them.

  14. very reletive and interesting subject for me.i see all kinds of things in the night and never know whats going on

  15. Is it a belief in the Jewish culture that when a person dies they may wander for three days close to the body and/or loved ones? Is this one reason Jesus was in the grave three days, to give no doubt to the Jews that it was past the time to re-enter the body? Same with the miracle of Lazarus, wasn’t it four days? Just asking.
The evening after my brother’s funeral, my son, who is deaf and very sensative to the spiritual, saw, in the presence of myself and my family, my brother in the spirit outside the window and behind me sitting on the sofa. I went to my son’s side and asked him Do you still see him, but I was too scared to really focus and look for him. My son said yes, he had a white robe and he had a light aura around him and he was floating and he was young and he was happy and he was waving.
I am the one who took care of my brother for six months before he departed this earth.

  16. Once when I was married (around December 2001), I had a dream of my mother’s funeral. During my mother’s life, she lived a Christian life. In the dream, all of her children were walking past her for the last time while she laid in the casket. I was the last one to walk by her. As I walked by, she reached and grabbed my hand, she with her eyes still closed she to me “Son, when you get off of work, go straight home, don’t stop nowhere, go straight home”. During that time in my life, I was committing adultery with a lady from my job. The street where she lived was in the path of my home traveling route from work. I would do a “Pit Stop”, then continue to travel home, where there was….you guessed it….CHAOS! My ex-wife was pregnant with our son at that time. He was born without a limb…I wonder why? You guessed it again…the sins of the father. But I thank God for His Mercy and His Grace.

  17. About 15 years ago, I was a Sunday School teacher for the 9-11 year-olds at my Synagogue. One day we had a guest speaker visit. When she prayed, all kinds of phenomenon took place. People were falling down when she prayed for them. A very meek, timid boy in my class was prayed for. As he & I walked out of the service, he confided in me that when he received prayer, he had a vision. He saw his Grandfather in Heaven. I believed him because this boy was not the kind of kid who drew attention to himself. If someone dies in faith, they become a part of the cloud of witnesses that surrounds us & is cheering us on. I would have a problem if an un-believing deceased person showed up, however!

  18. i hope this scripture will help JOB ch 7 vs. 9 and 10 i will read from a new living translation, ill start with vs 9. just as a cloud dissipates and vanishes, those who die will not come back. vs. 10 they are gone forever from their home – never to be seen again

  19. 1) Jesus said John the Baptist was Elijah. 2) Samuel the prophet made a guest appearance after dying. 3) Both Elijah & Moses were seen by Peter, James & John LONG after their death. 4) The graves opend & the dead walked around when Jesus died.
Scripture says let everything be confirmed with 2 or 3 witnesses. Here are 4, so I believe Scripture has made the point that it can happen.

  20. I was very disturbed after my mother’s death, and I had felt all my life that she did not really love me, and one night I felt so alone and desolate, than went to bed. In a dream/vision that night, I saw my mother way way distant in some valley with mountain ranges, and I had a zoom in “eagle” vision and saw her many miles away. She turned and saw me, and I knew she was coming towards me. I stood on a high cliff overlooking this beautiful valley. I saw her getting close, and I looked down and saw her making her way toward me. I could see stone rocks that she was trying to climb up to me…but she could only come up halfway, and she was soooo exhausted and sat down on one outcropping. I stepped a few steps and got to her…and she could not speak to me, but she HUGGED me and I then felt my mother’s love or the LOVE of the Lord comforting me, and it gave me the peace I needed about my mother. I felt that she wished she had loved me in this earthly life…and then the dream ended. I don’t know if it was really my mother, but I belive she might have been “Allowed” to somehow let me know she did love me. I believe this because she could not speak to me, only hug me. I feel that an evil spirit would have tried to speak and trick me, etc. Just my opinion. Reincarnation, or the theory of it, is nothing but demons hopping from one dead person to another, and they have the memories of all the “souls” they hop into …we have to be very careful in this area, if dead relatives come and try to talk to you and tell you things. Normally, I would say they could not do it.

  21. I have had that happen twice in dreams. The first was my deceased grandfather and the second was my neighbor who passed away a year earlier. Both times they gave the message that they were okay and to tell family they loved them. These visitations were not sought after. They were only one-time events. I do personally believe God allows this but only on his terms. Where we get into trouble is when we seek to contact the dead on our own apart from God. For example, these shows that show some supposed psychic trying to contact the dead are very dangerous in my opinion. My opinion is that if it is from God, it is not sought after and it is usually a one-time event with the purpose of giving reassurance or some kind of closure.

  22. My mum passed away one and half year ago. She was bedridden in her final months. Weeks after her passing I saw her in my dream able to stand and walk like a healthy person. I was much consoled by the dream.

  23. My mother died 3 years ago. She came to me in my dreams on a few occasions. In the first one she came over to me and grabbed my hands (I noticed how warm they were…at the funeral, I had commented on how cold her hands were), then she smiled and said twice “I am alive and well”. My mother died at age 80. In the dreams she had brown hair, always wore a white gown and looked around 40ish. I had another dream a few nights ago. She didn’t say anything, she just let me lay my head on her shoulder and sleep. My sister was also in the dream, she was behind my mother. My sister has special needs and is currently living with me. I bring that up because I thought it was interesting that she was there with my mother and that my mom let me put my head on her shoulder and sleep…It has been exhausting caring for my sister in addition to my 2 sons who also have special needs….anyway, that was pretty neat how she came back to give me “rest”.

I have been waiting/hoping to see my dad…He died Feb 5th of this year…so far I have only seen my mom. I get the same feeling that God is allowing this contact and on His terms. Thank you God!

  24. http://cornishevangelist.wordpress.com/

You will be blessed with this Prophecy on my site. From Billy.

  25. If Paul is correct in saying that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”, the spirit lives immediately after death, and the Christian deceased are with the Lord, and conscious.

King David said of his deceased baby that the child could not come to him, but he would go to the child. Now this can be interpreted to mean that eventually he will go to the child, after resurrection. It
also seems to mean, however, that he would go, in death, to where the
    child is.

I am very against seances and attempts to bring back the dead, and have been so for many years. So when I felt the presence of my father and of my husband, I felt God had sent them, as someone said here, “on HIS terms”. I would never violate God’s will on this. I
refrain from trying to talk to my husband, even though he was my only close Christian friend at the end. I do ask God to send my husband
messages, however, saying I love him, and that I am trying as hard as I can to hold up under these awful circumstances of reduced income,
ill health of my own, rejection by my son, etc.

    • Mariel – I am in agreement with you and have alot in common with you, though this post was from two years ago, I am going through similar experience now. My sweet dear husband who was my soul mate and we were very close, died 22 weeks ago. I live in the UK, and a friend of mine flew down from Scotland to go to the grave with me. (I also ask God to tell my husband how much I appreciate the love he gave to me, as my husband, and that I love him, and I’ve prayed that God will not allow me to disturb his spirit). On the drive to the grave when my friend came from Scotland, I was concentrating on driving, going past an electronic speed limit sign, and my concentration was on ‘must not go over 30mph, don’t speed, don’t set off the flashing sign…’ and up popped a manifestation, a vision of my husband, standing at the head of his grave in a white robe. I knew it was him and not Jesus, although it did not look EXACTLY like my husband, it was a healthful restored version of him, and I recognised that it was him. He just was stood there for a few seconds, peaceful, happy, and letting me know he was pleased that I brought her to visit the grave and that he was restored. I told my friend and my pastor about it, and his cousin who is a retired Church of Scotland vicar (he married us), and all believed me, as I am not an experience seeker, or airy-fairy person, but tend to be solid – though I am distraught completely by my husband’s death, so I suppose some would say I was bonkers, but I was concentrated on driving and the speed limit sign, and certainly wasn’t thinking about or asking to see a manifestation or vision, there it was. Not deceptive, I think it was a privileged glimpse of my husband. I believe our loved ones are not floating around on clouds in heaven, but doing the work of God and on our behalf. To talk about them sleeping vs alive and present with God is a bit flat planed on our part(s) because we think in terms of the universe as we presently know it, which is time constrained – but C.S. Lewis describes his understanding of heaven and earth as the past present and future all coinciding and when the person dies and is “absent from the body and present with the Lord” whether that is yesterday or 1000 years ago, they experience OUR death and reuniting as happening all at once – that is the future time when we join them and the present time is all the same to them, as though no “time” had passed at all. This is my understanding. In Christ – Petal (my husband’s pet name for me).

      • dear coolgreen planet (petal)

thank you for your story. It is assurance that love reaches past the grave to all dimensions of creation.

love is the presence of god, and god is everywhere, so I can see this is possible.

I am happy that you had this blessed experience. no one can take it from you.

  26. If a dream or vision warms the heart, encouraging a person in truth and innocent living it would be from God, as Jesus said satan will not divide his house. The wisest Christian teachers have all said that the boundaries of nature and spirit were set by God for a reason and we were not to whine and beg to cross it. BUT also that God directs visions, messages, and dreams (often at early dawn) as medicines…to correct those misled and hurting…messed up by the devil here in time and space! The Holy Spirit gives discernment. For those scandalized that God loves His children enough to do almost anything to save them, shame on you for limiting His love and power. People cling unreasonably to what they were taught as children and may need guidance not available in their surroundings. Many a conversion to Christianity began with a dream, often of a loved relative with encouraging words. Or a faltering faith may be strengthened. Often we may dream that a admired person is not trustworthy, etc. In every way “Thy rod and Thy staff. they comfort me.”

    • You seem to be a person of integrity … I enjoy reading your comments.
I love the way you have associated ‘dream and vision’ with ‘rod and staff’ of God.

  27. God didn’t write the Bible. Jesus didn’t write the bible. Therefore it is to be considered somewhat like a game of telephone. I have as much faith as anyone, but I also believe that the spirits of loved ones go to heaven to be with the Lord. It is what I was taught as a Catholic child. When Jesus was resurrected, he opened the gates of Heaven for all of his followers.

    • G-D DID write the Bible! Who do you think the Holy Spirit is?

      • Lyndsey you are in error if you think God did not write the bible – the word of God IS the bible and Jesus is the WORD made flesh. The Bible constatly tells us that God wrote the Bible using men by the power of the Holy Spirit. Your own Catholic Church and saints will tell you this.

      • Lyndsey, God did not write the Bible, nor Jesus. Those who witnessed and followed Christ wrote the Bible… Hence (Mark, Jacob, Samuel, Job, etc.) However, they are Christ’s own words and accounts.

    • Well said Lisa, I for one can tell you for sure & without a doubt the wonderful Saints, Blessed Mother, Jesus God Almighty can and really will communicate with the ordinary person, like me. I’ve experienced it and can tell you that although it seems not to be so, sometimes, God is all merciful to us and really does love us. He tries to get through to us and tell us about important things coming in our lives that He wants us to know. That’s exactly what Our Lord did for me…..and succeeded in getting through to me. Telling me what to say, even showed me what was to come…so I was prepared (when I saw the same coffin that my Husband picked out for my Son) (like a flash on the wall) this was before the coffin was selected.

  28. Professional mediums do not call upon the dead Marianne and if you were a medium you would then know that. When a person goes to see a professional Christian medium they first pray to God for help and then prepare themselves to be blessed.

The medium never knows who will come. They don’t know whether Christ, guardian angels or the loved ones of the person that as visited the grieving person. Often our deceased loved ones also become our guardian angels as well.

There is a big difference between a vision and the Spirit of a person arriving to talk to you. Like the morning that Mother Teresa was standing before me when I woke up and she asked what she could do for me to help me.

Just as there is a big difference between my heavenly Father giving me a vision and then giving me a message to explain the vision that he has given.

The Christian Spiritualist Church consists of committed Christians don’t ever forget that. They also work hand in hand with Christ. Mary Magdalene was also a medium, clairvoyant, clairsentient and clairaudient.

There is a lovely Gospel of Mary where she talks to Christ about how this is made possible. Also in the NT it speaks of the spiritual gifts that we are given.

The bible is full of seers and the word clairvoyant is the modern word for seer. All true prophets are mediums, they are mediums for God.

    • There is no such thing as a “professional Christian medium.” Mediums engage in sorcery, and this is biblically forbidden.

There are true and false prophets….the false ones are NOT sent by God, irregardless how well they “perform.”

    • G-d says that to consult a medium is detestable! There is no such thing as a “christian Medium”, for what each title represents contradicts the other.

You have been deceived and now we know why you say the things that you do.

You will need to repent/turn away from what is clearly detestable to G-d as so stated within the scriptures. Your soul is in danger-you would know this if you weren’t deceived by the “spirits”/demons that you have conjured.

      ****

“‘Do not turn yourselves to the spirit mediums, and do not consult professional foretellers of events, so as to become unclean by them. I am Jehovah YOUR God.” – Leviticus 19:31

” When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, OR WHO IS A MEDIUM OR SPIRITUALIST or who consults the dead.

ANYONE WHO DOES THESE THINGS IS DETESTABLE TO THE LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the LORD your God.

The nations you will dispossess listen to those who practice sorcery or divination….”

      Deuteronomy 18:9-15

*and no, mary was NOT a medium or clairvoyant etc etc

    • Thanks, some words of logic and wisdom. What you say is very true, unfortunately many people will never, in this lifetime, believe this. I believe the closest people to God have the most sensitivities, the clair senses, etc. It’s funny how Christendom will label people with these experiences according to the intended outcome, viewpoint. For example, I am Catholic, and we have “mystics” who are said to have had contact, etc. with God, Jesus…If anyone else says they have had contact or communication from the spirit side, then they are labeled a bad thing. That is hypocrisy in my view.

  29. The role of the Church medium is to prove life after death because it is the will of God for them to do so. In other words the people go to them for evidence. Just like the Apostles went to Mary to see Christ.

The people are given evidence because the medium passes on what the spirit of their loved ones says. If the client is smart they don’t tell the medium anything, in this way what the medium says can be proven to be true because they tell people things that only the person and the deceased person know. This then proves life after death. Those that embrace life after death do not suffer in bereavement in the same way as those that live in earthly attachment. And Christ taught people detachment.

Reiki is in the bible and it is an excellent way to open people up to their natural God given spiritual gifts that everyone holds inside.

The more that people heal themselves the more that they ascend through the heavens. However, those that are anchored to the bible/books don’t ascend anywhere. Those people are called ‘Dead’ in the bible because they are spiritually dead because they are not living spiritually or walking the SPIRITUAL path home to God.

    • How else do I say this? You are so full of crap it is DETESTABLE!

Dead people are DEAD. The medium is only consulting with Demons who are familiar spirits and can tell you anything you wanna here. If the medium does not realize that she/he is talking to a demon then he/she is an idiot!

You are playing with fire and will most assuredly BURN in that FIRE if you don’t quickly get out of that mess!

      • Yes, DEAD PEOPLE ARE DEAD!

Ecclesiastes 9:5 “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.”

Ecclesiastes 9:10 “Whatsoever your hand findeth to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither you goest.”

Job 14:12 “So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.”

Psalms 13:3 “Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;”

Psalms 115:17 “The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.”

Daniel 12:2 “And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.”
(Wait a second, the only way someone could awake to everlasting life, is if they were a believer in Christ.)

        Then Christ Himself states;

John 5:28-29 “Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the RESURRECTION of life; and they that have done evil, unto the RESURRECTION of damnation.”

John 6:39 “And this is the Father’s will which has sent me, that of all which he has given me I should lose nothing, but should RAISE IT UP AGAIN AT THE LAST DAY.”

John 6:40 “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I WILL RAISE HIM UP AT THE LAST DAY.”

John 6:44 “No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I WILL RAISE HIM UP AT THE LAST DAY.”

Martha was undoubtedly taught by Yeshua as to what would happen and how, and she confirms this with her comment, John 11:24 “Martha saith unto him, I know that HE SHALL RISE AGAIN IN THE RESURRECTION AT THE LAST DAY.”

This last one here is especially notable, For Yeshua is specifically referring to those who believe after His earthly death.

John 6:54 “Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, has eternal life; and I WILL RAISE HIM UP AT THE LAST DAY.”

After Yeshua had ascended to God the Father, the same mind set was maintained by the Apostle Paul, as well as all the other Apostles.

Acts 24:15 “And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD, both of the JUST and unjust.“

1 Corinthians 15: 20-24 “20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the RESURRECTION of the DEAD. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all SHALL be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s AT HIS COMING.

1 Corinthians 15:51-54 “Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the DEAD SHALL BE RAISED incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, THEN shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.”

Philippians 3:20-21 “20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly WAIT for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who WILL transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.” ( Why would we have to eagerly wait for Yeshua to return, if we go to Him when we die? Because that is the only time in the Bible that God’s word tells us that our body will be glorified, when Christ returns.)

Colossians 3:3-4 “3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life APPEARS, THEN you also will appear with Him in glory.
(Again,if we go to heaven when we die, I guess we are not glorified while we are in heaven, because that will only happen when Yeshua returns.)

1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 “19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ AT HIS COMING? 20 For you are our glory and joy.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 “13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him THOSE WHO SLEEP in Jesus. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the DEAD IN Christ SHALL RISE first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
( If we simply go to heaven when we die being believers, why didn’t Paul just say that? Why all of this resurrection stuff?)

1 Thessalonians 5:23 “23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (I guess we can get into heaven and be blameless, “BEFORE” the coming of Yeshua too?)

2 Thessalonians 2:1-2 “1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our GATHERING TOGETHER to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.”
(We are Yeshua’s Bride. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, Paul doesn’t say a thing about the other half of the Bride already being in heaven? Here we clearly gather together in unity as the Bride.)

1 Timothy 6:14 “14 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless UNTIL our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing,

2 Timothy 4:1 “1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His APPEARING and His kingdom:”

Titus 2:12-14 “12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.” (Looks like we are only REDEEMED when Christ RETURNS too.)

Hebrews 9:27-28 ” 27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a SECOND TIME, apart from sin, for SALVATION.” (why do I need Yeshua to appear a second time for salvation, if I’m already in heaven?)

1 John 2:28 “28 And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.” (Hmmm, maybe if I die before Jesus returns, and I’ll be in heaven already, I won’t have to worry about being ashamed at His coming?)

1 John 3:2 “2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we SHALL be, but we know that when He IS REVEALED, we SHALL be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.”

EMPHASIS MINE IN ALL OF THE ABOVE.
Seriously people, be careful. Cause satan is the master of deception.

        • Further, lets look at some of the original Greek text.

          1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 KJV.
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant , brethren, concerning them which are ASLEEP , that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again , even so them also which SLEEP in Jesus will God BRING with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are ASLEEP . 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the DEAD in Christ shall RISE first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Keeping within the context of what the purpose, and intent to comfort those Thessalonians was, if we were to go to heaven when we died, why didn’t Paul simply say that?
What better comfort could he possibly offer to them but to reveal to them that your friends that you have sorrow for, are already there!
He would have used the word ANABINO, (Strong’s # 305, to go up, to rise, mount, be borne up, spring up.) somewhere in these verses, IF WE WENT TO HEAVEN as were used in John 20:17. “17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.'”

Instead he utilized “sleep”, KOIMAO, (Strong’s # 2837, to cause to sleep, put to sleep, to still, calm, quiet to fall asleep, to sleep to die.) “dead”, NEKROS, (Strong’s # 3498, one that has breathed his last, lifeless, deceased, departed.) “rise” ANISTEMI, (Strong’s # 450, to cause to rise up, raise up from laying down, to raise up from the dead, cause to be born, cause to appear.) “bring” AGO, ( Strong’s # 71, to lead, take with one to lead by laying a hold of, and this way to bring to the point of destination.)

I believe that these verses are in actuality, the most descriptive account that we have in the Bible of what will take place during the rapture, and should be taken literally. Again, if we were to ascend, and be with Christ in heaven when we die, why wouldn’t Paul have said so? Also, if that indeed is the case, then these verses simply make no sense whatsoever, and are in essence, describing a false event.

          • Buck

So do you think if someone has a vision of a departed loved one, that it is a false vision?

            • Hi Marianne,

Well, all that I did was quote the Bible and God’s word above. Clearly no one on the planet has all the answers.

There is the aspect of Jewish belief regarding the 3 day time frame, however I don’t remember any of the specificity associated to it. I will have to check into it.

I just think that the Word makes it quite clear as to what will transpire in the future, and where we go when we die.
And because of this confusion regarding this subject, it opens up the door for satan to infiltrate and deceive many people. Even the secular population believe that they go to heaven when they die.

Any comment I would make regarding your question, would merely be an assumption or speculation on my part. (God is far bigger than my personal box of understanding.) However, with that in mind, I will say that if we truly regard scripture as being factual and true, it appears to be highly unlikely.

              • There is one way to find out! LOL

Speaking of, many people claim to have died (their dying was medically proven) and gone to heaven as well as hell.

                A Personal Trip to Hell

One particular person was a 4 year old who died during surgery and says that he went to Heaven.

He describes where his parents were and what they were doing while he was under anesthesia.

He then describes who he met in heaven. He met his “Pop” who had died over 30 years prior and he saw him in his younger form (around 30 or 40ish).This was confirmed when they were flipping through pictures after he recovered. He only recognized his great grandfather in the pics where he was younger.

He also met his sister whom he did not know about, remember, he was only 4 years old.

His mother had a miscarriage before their son was even born. They had not told him about this, obviously, because again, he was only 4 years old.

He also met John the Baptist, who was introduced as Jesus’ cousin. Again, he had not heard of john the baptist yet.

So how does this fit into your “theory” of we all sleep until Jesus returns?

          • Buck,

How do you explain what Jesus said to the thief on the cross?

Luke 23:43Jesus answered him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.”

*TODAY YOU WILL BE WITH ME IN PARADISE (emphasis mine) Jesus told the thief that TODAY….not go to sleep and wake up in 2000 plus years when I come back….LOL

How do you explain, 2 corinthians 5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD.

And, John 12:26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be.

And, Phillipians 1:22If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! 23I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and BE WITH CHRIST (EMPHASIS MINE), which is better by far;..”

AND, Matthew 22:29 Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. 30At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. 31But about the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you, 32‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’a? HE IS NOT THE GOD OF THE DEAD BUT OF THE LIVING.”

PRIOR to the resurrection of Jesus, those who died did sleep as Jesus pointed out with his friend lazarus and the little girl. Jesus brought both of them back by speaking to them and brought them back from their “sleep”.

AFTER the resurrection of Jesus, those who were asleep were awakened. It has to do with before and after the resurrection.

Ask yourself, What purpose was in Jesus’ resurrection?

            ***

Hosea 13:14″I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. Where, O death, are your plagues? Where, O grave, is your destruction? “I will have no compassion,..”

1 Corinthians 15:55″Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”

            • Luke 23:43

First thing that you have to consider is, were the people that translated the Bible “inspired” by God or not?

It is my personal opinion, that those that did translate the Bible, (though I am sure were prayerful, and had only the purest of intentions), were not inspired.
Therefore, in spite of their best intentions, not only were certain words translated incorrectly, but also the placement of Chapters, insertions of verses, and even punctuation, could be in error.
Because of this, I don’t think that we as Christians should simply take how the Bible is formatted for granted as in being correct.
They unfortunately were just men, and not infallible.

If I may, I think that the following would be a clear example of this.

Acts 19:12 KJV “So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.”
In this verse we see the diseases departed from the sick handkerchiefs or aprons. Shouldn’t the comma have been placed after the word “sick” instead?

This following example involves chapters, verses as well as a comma. Matthew 28:1 reads, “In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher.”
As you should be well aware (from your own personal studies), the end of the Sabbath which is sunset and dawn are twelve hours apart, so why the apparent contradiction in the above verse?
The answer is found in the translation of this passage.
By reorganizing the last verse of Matthew 27 and the first verse of Matthew 28, the apparent ambiguity completely disappears.
              See Matthew 27:62-66.
In Matthew 27:62, a request for a guard on the tomb was made on the Sabbath (the day after the preparation) and that the request was for a guard until the third day. By simply moving the text “in the end of the Sabbath,” from the beginning of Matthew 28:1 to the end of Matthew 27:66, which is where it should have been placed when punctuation and chapters and verse were added, we would have the following.
Matthew 27:66 “So they went, and made the sepulcher sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch in the end of the Sabbath.”
Matthew 28:1 “As it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher.”
It was the watch guarding the tomb that began at the end of the Sabbath. Since Jesus was to rise the third day, the Roman guards were put in place immediately at the end of the Sabbath because they anticipated that the body of Jesus would be stolen by the Jews sometime on Sunday.

It is my opinion, that the above clearly demonstrates that neither chapter, verse, or punctuation are always correct.
Within the ongoing debate of whether or not as believers, we go straight to heaven when we die, proponents of this belief will undoubtedly quote Luke 23:43 to substantiate their view point.

However, is there is the possibility that a comma may have simply been misplaced in Luke 23:43?
Did Yeshua say, “I say to you, today you will be with Me in paradise” or, “I say to you today, you will be with Me in paradise” (at the Second Coming)?

Would not the latter, Luke 23:43 TS98 “And Jesus said to him, ‘Truly, I say to you today, you shall be with Me in Paradise.” line up more, with all the other vastness of available Scripture, which appears to suggest the premise of the resurrection as being when believers will go to heaven as the Bride of Christ?

In respects to 2 Corinthians 5:8, I will copy and paste what it was that I had written, and posted to you already on your own blog.

Paul longed “to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
              2 Corinthians 5:8.
The question is, would this transition take place at the moment of death, or at the Second Coming?

If you were a believer in the church of Corinth, and I was Paul, and I was sending you letters to explain in them the truth of God’s word, I would dearly hope that they would have been clearly understood the first time around.
So when I sent a second letter, I could perhaps make reference to a topic that I had previously spoken about, but I wouldn’t expect to have to tell the same message all over again.
(Mail was not easy to deliver at the time.)

So with that in mind, please remember that there are 2 epistles to the church at Corinth.

In 1 Corinthians, Paul tells them in chapter 15: verses 50-55
” 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed– 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” 55 “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”

Then in his second epistle he just happens to make reference to what he had already stated within his first epistle.

Notice 2 Corinthians 5:4. “4 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life.”

Paul clarified in verse 4 that it would occur when “mortality” is “swallowed up by life” When is this? In his previous letter to the Corinthians, Paul wrote that “mortality” would be “swallowed up” when the resurrection of believers occurs at the end of the world.

Now read 2 Corinthians 5:1-8 in this context.
” 1 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, 3 if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. 4 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. 6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”

Just look at the size of your counter argument for example, as opposed to the length of mine. Within the balance of probabilities, which appears to possess more evidence?

              • the length of your response has nothing to do with your being right-the fact that you don’t even believe the scriptures were inspired by the Holy Spirit, upon your own admission, pretty much ends this argument.

One has to have the Spirit of Truth in order to understand what the Spirit of Truth as written.

The Bible is the inerrant word of G-d, period. The Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit. For one to understand this and how it was done would have to have the Holy Spirit residing inside of them as the disciples did and as so many others do as well in this present day.

In your words, it is exasperating to watch so many people to allow themselves to be deceived and miss out on the TRUTH that Jesus promised us and tried to and continues to try to do through G-d’s Holy Spirit.

                sigh….

                • I wish that you could comprehend the written word lyndsey, really I do.

I did not say anywhere above that, “I don’t believe that scripture was inspired by the Holy Spirit.”
Just to clarify that for you,
“Scripture is God’s word. I believe that with all my heart.”

What I said above if you could possibly understand something that is not written in crayon, is…
“That the men that translated the Bible were more that likely NOT inspired.”
Then I provided examples as evidence for that premise.

As for the rest of what you say, how would you feel if you had to appear in court to defend yourself against a charge, and after hours of testimony by the Prosecutor, your defense lawyer stood up, and said 1 quick statement?

Evidence obviously carries weight. Your above comment is ridiculous. lol

                  • This is what you wrote Buck, in CRAYON, “It is my personal opinion, that those that did translate the Bible, (though I am sure were prayerful, and had only the purest of intentions), were not inspired.”

You can’t stand the fact that a woman might know more than you!

You insult me; you verbally abuse me and you are disrespectful!

You clearly do not have the Holy Spirit as you so claim, as is found within THE EVIDENCE OF YOUR ABUSE and twisting of the word of G-d AND stating that G-d’s word was not inspired as you so stated!

The things that are spiritual can only be understood by and through the Holy Spirit who wrote the scriptures!

Until you are able to grab hold of this then you are the one writing and understanding in crayon!

And ironically, Paul even spoke about this. He said to put away the elementary and move into maturity. But of course, you wouldn’t understand that because you think the scriptures are out of order and not inspired!

                    • Yes that is exactly what I wrote.”It is my personal opinion, that those that did translate the Bible, (though I am sure were prayerful, and had only the purest of intentions), were not inspired.”

NOT those that WROTE the Bible!
Those that “TRANSLATED” the Bible into ENGLISH!

I figured that you might just clue in when I was talking about,CHAPTERS, VERSES, PUNCTUATION etc.

The original text does NOT have these. They were added by the Translators some 1500 years after the fact.

I have no problem if a woman happens to be more knowledgeable within a particular subject than I am.

I just don’t happen to think that it is you!

There are millions of other Spirit filled Christians out there, that believe exactly what I do.

You just happen to think that you know everything.
                      A self righteous spirit.

I didn’t twist God’s word, I just copied and pasted scripture.

Here is something that you might want to take into consideration perhaps.
This is not meant to be mean, but I know that you will take it that way any ways.

Science has proven that our genetics can give us a predisposition to acquire certain ailments. If cancer for example runs rampant within a family, then those members have a higher degree of probability of contracting cancer.

                      Look at your family history!
That is all I have to say on the matter.

I don’t think that you are all that you think that you are.

                  • So in that sense he is right how we don’t know how inspired by the spirit translaters were later on. What did the original scrolls read. Well the ones at qumran were just Luke ones now so possible mainly they are same. We live by faith and look at the bible in whole in essense what it’s saying. Now on this subject Jesus said let the dead bury the dead plus adding all the other scriptures above commented on we can know we are not to talk to the dead or focus in that areas. God said he talks to us in dreams, so if God wants you have a dream about your relative he will allow it. But it says he will give the dream not your relative actually speaking , It will be relayed by God maybe.. Walk by faith in the ressurection of the dead, Christ made this example with Lazarus. God wants us find peace on all this and not chase after the dead in so many ways. Peace be with you.

              • Tut Tut Buck….sounds a little vain and just….

‘Just look at the size of your counter argument for example, as opposed to the length of mine. Within the balance of probabilities, which appears to possess more evidence?’

Grace goes a long way in sharing with those we look for understanding with rather than those we choose to contend with….

‘have no problem if a woman happens to be more knowledgeable within a particular subject than I am.’

In your own words buck….unfortunately ….

‘I don’t think that you are all that you think that you are.’

…probably none of us are…but really it is a moot argument when put into words like that….the fact that the Lord spent 3 days in paradise and took a host with him to heavan….and that He returns with ten thousands (unnumbered quantity) of His saints and that He speaks in visions and dreams as Joel says…leaves a quiet pause in our own thoughts and ideas on How He chooses to speak to His servants…I would say…or how we choose to speak to His servants….

Kindness to a lady goes a long way in understanding the heart of a matter oft times buck.

          • This is a good word Buck and is right on. It is important to make a difference between prophecies and visions and an entirely different warning to people to not seek after the dead.

There is no reason for putting any confusion between the two for they are entirely different for if the Lord would allow us to see a vision it is He not ourselves forming it and there would be a purpose to His vision which is not to be taken lightly, but it is not often done. We must not encourage others to seek after the dead for we are warned not to as I showed in His Word above. To blur the lines between the two is a very dangerous path to set others on.

            • Hi Marie Jean,

              How ya doing?
I haven’t visited this page in years, but thought that I’d have a peek at what you had expressed above when I saw that you had made a recent post on it.

The above conversation with Lindsey, (which obviously turned into an argument), was over three years ago now. And it was approximately 9000 hours or so less in respects to my commitment to study the Word.
Since then, I have done a complete 180 in regards to what it was that I previously believed regarding this topic back then, (thanks to the Spirit), and now believe at the point of physical death, that if “born again” our soul/spirit go immediately to be with God the Father & Yeshua in heaven.
(So I would agree with the comment by Charles Allan below. Sorry that I never got back to you Charles. lol.)

Since I received this “A-HA” moment, (sought with sincere prayer), many of the pieces of the puzzle that I had to somehow force, now appear to fit together quite nicely, and I believe that a more complete and better overall understanding was revealed with my willingness to open my heart and ask for guidance.

What was the point of my frustration back then, was that Lindsey didn’t seem to be able to understand the distinction between what where the original authors, ie; Matthew, Luke, Mark, John and Paul etc. (who were most definitely inspired by the Spirit), and those that happened to translate the original Scripture into different languages such as English, (where one of my ancestors on my Moms side, the martyr John Rogers would be one of many). And subsequently I made some comments that she happened to take completely out of context, and things just went sideways from there.

When I had found out how Lindsey had taken what I had said out of context, and was now hurt by it, through correspondence with Marianne, I reached out and apologized to her many times for that. Though I did wish to “pull her chain” at the time, I never meant to actually hurt her. However she never did forgive me.

Any way’s, such is life. And when I re-read what I have written 3 or 4 years ago here, sometimes I just have to laugh. (Could you pass the milk please.)
Yet at the same time, I can also see when doing this, that when you sincerely seek Gods Face humbly, He will lead you to a clearer understanding, (and with that I also understand better, the process of spiritual growth).

As well, if you haven’t figured out who Buck is yet, (by the gravatar logo) ….. you would also know me as alienated and more recently as Accepted.

I hope that all is well with you and your husband and that you are both blessed in Yeshua’s love and grace.

Praise be unto Yeshua HaMashiach our Most Holy and Precious Savior.
              Amen.

              • “You know who” needs to apologise too, so there! Sorry for the harsh words back then Buck.
I still believe that “resolved conflicts lead to unity as much as agreements”.
Funny that you read through the whole debate, as did I when the comment was put on recently. You think the Lord did that purposely? I Know I appreciated your post on translation “errors” this time around. (Comment 32815 below) There is a “Gem” in there.
                God bless

                • Dru,

lol, All is forgiven there brother and are now merely things of the past. 🙂
Being flesh still, we all have our moments that we regret in life.
But how do you figure out what number a comment is?
Were you referring to “my” post on translation errors, or someone else’s?
What’s the “gem”… enquiring minds want to know?

Be Blessed in Yeshua our Most Holy and Glorious Savior.
                  Amen.
                  Shalom.

                  • Buck (accepted)
                    The gem is……….[drumroll]
Likewise, II Thessalonians 2:10 should be “ARE PERISHING” rather than “perish.” My ESV has “are perishing”. This simple error can make it seem as if “the strong delusion” is the same as the “falling away/ rebellion” found earlier in the chapter, which creates confusion regarding these separate events. One occurs before the revealing of the “Man of lawlessness”, while the other is the deception that fools those who are deceived by the false prophet and the “Lawless one”.

Two very different words for “Man of Lawlessness” and the “Lawless one” And “falling away” and “strong delusion”.

Re: comment numbers, Hover your cursor over the top of the date and time, and a box should appear, for me at the lower left of my screen.

I know you are not “onboard” with me on this separation of the abomination and revelation 13 events, but this points even more towards that.

                    Something to “ponder” though.
                    God bless.

                    • Dru,

                      Okay I’ll ponder it.
A-Ha, you’re right… that sneaky little number appears in the system tray at the bottom left.
Thanks bro. Funny how I never even noticed that before. Duh?

                      Later,
Praise Yeshua the LORD of lords our heavenly Savior.
                      Amen.

              • Accepted. Alienated.etc. etc etc.lol lol . hello and yes we are well and grateful for the kindness of the Lord in these days and grateful for your words here. I only received an email from this site yesterday where someone spoke about talking to the dead and one of yours or Bucks responses regarding the facts here. I do not often come here anymore but, felt convicted yesterday for not responding properly to the ideas of talking to the dead for it is a rebuke to us all that stands today as the scriptures I wrote. I don’t feel right about sharing where someone is using this place as a platform for preaching to muslims etc. so I have withdrawn so I do not disturb the status quo. It is not my place in any way so I have gone.

What I receive in my emails I read and was disturbed by the danger of leaving people in such darkness when they are such sincere seekers so upon conviction regarding those looking to talk to their loved ones after they die I put in the few statements I did and really appreciated what you wrote.

Thank you for your kind response…of course now what name should I use now since I have appreciated the fellowship of a few…lol lol …

Yes I had followed what had gone on but, it did not matter …what is important is the truth of the Lord and His Presence and will in all things. Thank you again for responding…it is always appreciated whether we agree or not or whether we think the same way. Growing in Jesus in His Love and understanding of why He came to earth is the most important thing of all and teaching others the truth is essential and I have found your heart toward the Lord in these most important areas…so finding that fellowship occasionally have been little blessings along the way on this celestial journey. Of course you know this already…lol lol

                • Hi Marie Jean,

So glad to hear that you are both well. Praise Yeshua.
And in answer to your question above, I guess you can call me whatever pseudonym I happen to be using at the time, (though for the most part it will stay as it is now).
At least you will know now who you’re responding to. 🙂
And Yes the Lord Yeshua is the subject matter here and He is all that is important. Amen.

But now I’m curious, and I will have to search out the comments that you say you appreciated somewhere above. Maybe I actually had some solid food way back when, and was lead to say something that just may have been pertinent somehow. lol.

May the Lord Bless you and Keep you.
Be Blessed in Yeshua HaMashiach the KING of kings.
                  Amen

                • marie

the truth is always precious and welcome.

                  you have contributed a lot.

with regard to the muslim question, we just need to present the truth, not a compromise, in a way where they do not feel immediately rejected, but invited instead.

if the first thing we do is tell them their god is satan, the discussion is over.

there is no more chance of reaching them.

        • Buck – maybe it is our spirit and soul which is with the Lord at our death to be reunited with our resurrection body on the last day ie the body that
Jesus returned with and ate with the disciples.

      • “Dead people” are alive; more than ever now than in this physical life! You are so very wrong, you don’t have any idea. You will find out when you physically die one day and see the truth. There is much you just don’t understand.

    • Are you the one that put the Amazing God video on the youtube blog? If so, can I ask you what you think about receiving visits from our deceased loved ones? My beloved, precious Mother died 2 weeks ago, and she had always said that she would visit me after she died, as I asked her to, because I loved her so. Is this possible, and does God allow it, or is it condemned by God? I would just loved to see her smiling face, or have her hug me or something. She was everything to me, and all love, which I have none now, and no one to love me. Would you answer this question if you can? Thank-you, Priscilla

      • priscilla

The bible does not say much about receiving visits from deceased loved ones, which is why I made this post. it also says God wishes to give us the desires of our hearts, when we belong to him.

So, visits might be possible. I am not an expert. just be aware that familiar spirits can also appear, and pretend to be your loved one. the bible says to test the spirits . ask who is the savior. who is jesus to them. plead the blood of jesus over you, and see if this offends them and they leave…..

      • Prescilla Travis and all who are here. This is a most serious subject and leads all to danger.

The Bible most definitely has much to say about calling up the dead and it is wrong. Any form of Spiritism is forbidden as 1 Chr 10: 13-14 clearly says that Saul should have sought after the Lord and none other though He allowed Samuel to come to rebuke Saul, it was part of the judgement on Saul for seeking after familiar spirits through any medium but in this case the witch of Endor…they are all the same to the Lord who seek after any but him. He warns us all this is an evil thing. There will be none among you who call up the dead.

        Deuteronomy 18:10-12

10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer,

11 or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or (ONE WHO CALLS UP THE DEAD). one who calls up the dead.

12 For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you.

        Leviticus 19:31

31 ‘Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.

        Leviticus 20:6-7

6 ‘And the person who turns to mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people. 7 Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God.

The warning is most severe and precise that this is wrong and should not be entered on because of love for those who have passed. We should teach one another to fear God and love Him that we do not take part in any such endeavors. The warning of Saul sets an example to us all that we are to seek God alone. The scripture says Saul did not Keep the Word of the Lord nor did he seek after the Lord therefore God killed him. This is not to be taken lightly nor is it to be pawned off because we love someone or because it is made to seem acceptable by nice feel good words. It is a great and dangerous evil as many writers who have walked that road have shared over the ages. It is NOT to be treated lightly.

        1 Chronicles 10:13-14

13 So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the Lord, because he did not keep the word of the Lord, and also because he consulted a medium for guidance. 14 But he did not inquire of the Lord; therefore He killed him, and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.

Mediums/No one on earth has access to the dead, they only have access to the evil spirits on earth who pose as the dead. All of the Saved of the Lord should know this and teach others accordingly for it is a dangerous path to set anyone on whose blood is on our hands for such evil.

  30. Buck,

If you think that the people who translated the scriptures were not inspired as well then you have just said that the Bible is with error. How much more plain does it have to be for you to understand that!

I do know who I am in Christ! I am the “least of these” who has humbly received Jesus’ promise of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has been with me since I was 21 years old. All that I know of the scriptures has been taught to me directly from Him! That doesn’t mean I know everything. When I don’t understand something I simply ask Him to help me understand it. He is our counselor, comforter and teacher.

I have also learned that He will reveal only that which He chooses! And what I have learned I have tried to share with others. In doing so, I have also learned, through the Holy Spirit, why Jesus would say “he who ears, let him hear”.

Regarding your abuse, I do know who and what you are, for I recognize the abusive personality/spirit coming out in your posts, not just here but on my blog as well. You twist the scriptures to fit your ideas of who G-d is, rather, who you want Him to be. If what another person says contradicts your personal theology you attack them, especially if they are female for you have no respect whatsoever for women.

I will no longer give of my time and energy to someone who is filled with such hate, abuse and disrespect and has no desire whatsoever to know and have the truth.

  31. Well “yes” then, in your pedestrian way of thinking, I have to agree with your first sentence that you make above. That is why as a Berean, I always refer to the original text during any investigative study. For THAT was the text that WAS INSPIRED and WITHOUT ERROR.

If you happen to think that the “handkerchiefs and aprons” were healed as it states in scripture, rather than the people, then all the power to ya.

As Stated above, Acts 19:12 KJV “So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.”

In this verse we see the diseases departed from the sick handkerchiefs or aprons. Shouldn’t the comma have been placed after the word “sick” instead?

As well as the other example that I posted, which clearly shows an error in Chapter, verse, and punctuation. That is why it is imperative to utilize the ORIGINAL INSPIRED text!

Over the years of further research, many errors have been discovered within the process of translation. Verses that fall in the middle of a sentence, rather than at the end, would be just another example of why people will possibly take the true meaning of what is trying to be conveyed out of context.

In what you say above, (regarding what you perceive to be your uncanny ability to profile others), Thanks for coming up with, and supplying me with a Psychological diagnosis.
Though it appears to me, that it is obvious that you are merely expressing an assumption with no foundational evidence to back up your statement whatsoever.

I have no problem with women at all! Contrary to whatever you wish to believe. I do however, clash with who you present yourself to be. See ya at the resurrection. lol

    • Regarding “Science has proven that our genetics can give us a predisposition to acquire certain ailments. If cancer for example runs rampant within a family, then those members have a higher degree of probability of contracting cancer.

      Look at your family history!
That is all I have to say on the matter.”

If you are referring to my son who has Autism then you have crossed the line!! You are not only abusive, but cruel as well. I only know of one source who has these same traits!

I have posted this here publicly so that anyone else who comes across YOU, then they will know just who and what they are dealing with.

You are just one of many wolves Buck and you’re barking up the wrong tree!

  32. Buck

Do you have any evidence that the bible was incorrectly translated?

  33. Marianne,

Firstly, no language can be translated word for word into another language. Hebrew and Greek idioms often do not come through clearly into literal English. Thus, beginning in 1560 with the Geneva Bible, translators initiated the practice of adding italicized clarifying words to make the original language more plain. The fifty-four King James translators did the same. Often, they added italicized words do help make the meaning clearer. At other times, the translators through their doctrinal misunderstandings added errors instead.

For centuries prior to 1611, Latin was the only scholarly language in Europe. The Latin Vulgate translation of Jerome, based upon a[n] . . . Alexandrian Text, was the “official” text of the powerful Roman Catholic Church.

Protestant translators sometimes did not have access to all of the Received Greek Official Text, and being familiar with the Vulgate, they sometimes put words into their translations based upon the Latin which were never there in the original Greek. Schaff points out that in about 80 places in the New Testament, the KJV adopts Latin readings not found in the Greek. Erasmus had a corrupt, incomplete text of Revelation to work from, and hence this book has many errors in the KJV.

The King James translators, ( of which John Rogers my 10th. generation Grandfather on my Mothers side, and the first Martyr burned at the stake in Smithfield on Feb. 4th. 1555 who contributed in the translation as well.),did a marvelous job with the materials they had. . . .

    To answer your question;

Here is a partial listing of King James Version translation errors:

Genesis 1:2 should read “And the earth BECAME without form . . . .” The word translated “was” is hayah, and denotes a condition different than a former condition, as in Genesis 19:26.

Genesis 10:9 should read ” . . . Nimrod the mighty hunter “in place of” [in opposition to] the LORD.” The word “BEFORE” is incorrect and gives the connotation that Nimrod was a good guy, which is false.

Leviticus 16:8, 10, 26 in the KJV is “scapegoat” which today has the connotation of someone who is unjustly blamed for other’s sins. The Hebrew is Azazel, which means “one removed or separated.” The Azazel goat represents Satan, who is no scapegoat. He is guilty of his part in our sins.

Deuteronomy 24:1, “then let him” should be “AND HE.” As the Savior explained in Matthew 19, Moses did not command divorcement. This statute is regulating the permission of divorce because of the hardness of their hearts.

II Kings 2:23, should be “YOUNG MEN”, not “little children.”

Isaiah 65:17 should be “I AM CREATING” [am about to create] new heavens and new earth . . . .”

Ezekiel 20:25 should read “WHEREFORE I PERMITTED THEM, or gave them over to, [false] statutes that are not good, and judgments whereby they should not live.” God’s laws are good, perfect and right. This verse shows that since Israel rejected God’s laws, He allowed them to hurt themselves by following false man made customs and laws.

Daniel 8:14 is correct in the margin, which substitutes “EVENING MORNING” for “days.” Too bad William Miller didn’t realize this.

Malachi 4:6 should read ” . . . LEST I COME AND SMITE THE EARTH WITH UTTER DESTRUCTION.” “Curse” doesn’t give the proper sense here. Same word used in Zechariah 14:11.

Matthew 5:48 should be “BECOME YE THEREFORE PERFECT” rather than “be ye therefore perfect.” “Perfect” here means “spiritually mature.” Sanctification is a process of overcoming with the aid of the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 24:22 needs an additional word to clarify the meaning. It should say “there should no flesh be saved ALIVE.”

Matthew 27:49 omits text which was in the original. Moffatt correctly adds it, while the RSV puts it in a footnote: “And another took a spear and pierced His side, and out came water and blood.” The Savior’s death came when a soldier pierced His side, Revelation 1:7.

Matthew 28:1, “In the end of the sabbath as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week . . .” should be translated literally, “Now late on Sabbath, as it was getting dusk toward the first day of the week . . . .” The Sabbath does not end at dawn but at dusk. ( One of my previous examples above.)

Luke 2:14 should say, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men of God’s good pleasure or choosing.” That is, there will be peace on earth among men who have God’s good will in their hearts.

Luke 14:26 has the unfortunate translation of the Greek word miseo, Strong’s #3404, as “hate”, when it should be rendered “LOVE LESS BY COMPARISON.” We are not to hate our parents and family!

John 1:31, 33 should say “baptize” or “baptizing IN water” not WITH water. Pouring or sprinkling with water is not the scriptural method of baptism, but only thorough immersion in water.

John 1:17 is another instance of a poor preposition. “By” should be “THROUGH”: “For the law was given by [through] Moses . . . .” Moses did not proclaim his law, but God’s Law.

John 13:2 should be “AND DURING SUPPER” (RSV) rather than “And supper being ended” (KJV).

Acts 12:4 has the inaccurate word “Easter” which should be rendered “PASSOVER.” The Greek word is pascha which is translated correctly as PASSOVER in Matthew 26:2, etc.

I Corinthians 1:18 should be: “For the preaching of the cross is to them that ARE PERISHING foolishness; but unto us which ARE BEING SAVED it is the power of God”, rather than “perish” and “are saved.”

Likewise, II Thessalonians 2:10 should be “ARE PERISHING” rather than “perish.”

I Corinthians 15:29 should be: “Else what shall they do which are baptized for THE HOPE OF the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for THE HOPE OF the dead?”

II Corinthians 6:2 should be “A” day of salvation”, instead of “THE” day of salvation.” This is a quote from Isaiah 49:8, which is correct. The day of salvation is not the same for each individual. The firstfruits have their day of salvation during this life. The rest in the second resurrection.

I Timothy 4:8 should say, “For bodily exercise profiteth FOR A LITTLE TIME: but godliness in profitable unto all things . . . .”

I Timothy 6:10 should be, “For the love of money is “A” [not the] root of all evil . . . .”

Hebrews 4:8 should be “Joshua” rather than “Jesus”, although these two words are Hebrew and Greek equivalents.

Hebrews 4:9 should read, “There remaineth therefore a KEEPING OF A SABBATH to the people of God.”

Hebrews 9:28 is out of proper order in the King James. It should be: “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them without sin that look for him shall he appear the second time unto salvation.”

I John 5:7-8 contains additional text which was added to the original. “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.” The italicized text was added to the original manuscripts. Most modern translations agree that this was an uninspired addition to the Latin Vulgate to support the unscriptural trinity doctrine. ( Though I happen to personally believe in the Trinity, this is why it has been removed from contemporary editions)

Revelation 14:4 should be “A” firstfruits”, because the 144,000 are not all the firstfruits.

Revelation 20:4-5 in the KJV is a little confusing until you realize that the sentence “This is the first resurrection.” in verse five refers back to “they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years” in verse four.

Revelation 20:10, “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are [correction: should be ‘were cast’ because the beast and false prophet were mortal human beings who were burned up in the lake of fire 1,000 years previous to this time, Revelation 19:20], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” The point is that Satan will be cast into the SAME lake of fire into which the beast and false prophet were cast a thousand years previously.

Revelation 22:2 should be “HEALTH” rather than “healing.”

These are just a few of literally hundreds of mistranslations made in the KJV. This is why I say it is imperative that an individual utilizes the original texts while conducting their investigative studies. They are the only truly “inspired by God” texts. I also realize Marianne, that you have expressed in the past that I only possess “some limited mental understanding”, however I hope that the above proves to be sufficient in my desire to answer your above question.

Lyndsey, I find it extremely exasperating when you accuse others as not being filled with the Holy Spirit, simply because their hermeneutics happen to disagree with yours. You know that we don’t like each other, and you did cast the first stone in a manner of speaking as well. I just responded by giving you some of your own medicine.

I hope that this proves informative to those that take the time to read it.

  34. “Lyndsey, I find it extremely exasperating when you accuse others as not being filled with the Holy Spirit, simply because their hermeneutics happen to disagree with yours.”

No, this is not why I said you did not have the Holy Spirit. Your continued verbal abuse of me and now my son makes it very clear to me and would to anyone else by reading your posts that you do not have the Holy Spirit!

The Holy Spirit is not abusive; he is not cruel; he does not attack and accuse someone’s child who has special needs as being “a cancer”.

And because of this, you have lost all credibility that you may have hoped to obtain, as well as respect, and therefore your above translations are not accepted as credible considering the source of which they came.

***Because of what has spewed out of your heart and onto the pages of this site speaks loudly of who you are and who you are not!***

Jesus tells us that we will know them by their fruits! And you can “translate” that any way you like!

  35. http://www.fallibleblogma.com/index.php/why-should-we-believe-in-the-bible/

So the authority of the Biblical canon – and therefore, indirectly, the Bible itself – rests on the authority of the Catholic Church. Either the Catholic Church had the authority and capacity to do this or they didn’t. We can see through history and reason that they did have this authority. Therefore, I believe the Bible is the Inspired Word of God.

So the only rational reason we can believe that the Bible is the Inspired Word of God is essentially because the Catholic Church has revealed that to us by their authority and charism given to it by Christ. And if we trust the Catholic Church to determine its canon, perhaps we should also trust it to interpret it for us. After all, that’s why God gave us a Church with the authority to do such things.

    http://www.Jesus-is-Lord.com

Is Catholic Tradition Equal to the Bible?

In receiving lots of e-mails from Catholics I get a pulse on the latest misinformation they are receiving from their apologists. The issue of oral tradition is one such error. Catholics are being told that the early church passed things down orally that are not in our Bible–so we gotta listen to the Catholic religion.
In typical style they are given some Bible verses to tenuously support this false doctrine. Well, we are going to bring it all out in the open. The light of the word maketh manifest, you know. We are going to examine the following:

Does the Bible support Catholic tradition?

Is the “Sin of Presumption” supported by the Bible?

Did Jesus appoint a multi-billion dollar organization to be boss?

Did the Catholic religion give me the scriptures?

Is the Bible enough for me to know God and His will?

Can tradition and the Bible both be true?

Why does the Catholic Religion emphasize tradition so much?

I’ll answer that with another question: How could they support its heretical doctrines using the scripture as the sole rule of authority?

Mary worship? In the Bible you can only find how God hates the Queen of Heaven.
The eucharist? In the Bible you can only find how God said don’t drink blood.
Purgatory? The word and concept are not in the Bible.
Co-redemptrix? In the Bible you find there is only ONE Redeemer and Saviour. His name is Jesus.
Take practically any Catholic practice and it will fit in here.

What is Catholic tradition supposed to mean anyway?

I’ll let one of our Catholic readers explain:

“I hope you understand was is meant by Tradition, it is not “tradition” with a small “t”. It is Sacred “Tradition”, with a capital “T” meaning the oral teachings of Christ and the apostles…”
Oh, so there is a whole bunch of stuff I CAN’T know from the Bible because it was only given orally and the Catholic religion has somehow been able to get this spoken word from somewhere and tell me what it was. I see and I reject this nonsense. First let’s see what Jesus says about man’s tradition (I love the word of God, it just illuminates everything).

What does Jesus say about Tradition?

“Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? [Y]e made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. Ye hypocrites.”
    –Jesus Christ
    Matthew 15:3, 6, 7

What else does Jesus say about Tradition?

Then the Pharisees and scribes asked [Jesus], why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?
He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is WRITTEN [Jesus is quoting the Bible], This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men…

And he said unto them, Full well YE REJECT THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD, THAT YE MAY KEEP YOUR OWN TRADITION.

Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

    Mark 7:5-9, 13

THIS is the scripture Catholics need to read! But alas, instead they listen to their apologists and try to support their man-made traditions with the Book they once burned and outlawed!

Does the Bible support Catholic tradition like they say it does?

Now, they have the nerve to go to THE BIBLE for proof of their tradition. What scriptures do they give as biblical proof of Catholic Tradition? Let’s look at some of them…

    1 Corinthians 15:3, 11 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

Where does it say, “Listen to Catholic Tradition?” Relevance please? Where does it say this was passed down by oral tradition?
2 Tim 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
Where does it say, “Listen to Catholic Tradition?” Relevance please? Where does it say this is oral tradition?

John 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
Relevance please? This does not commend us to the Traditions of the Catholic religion. Where does it say this is oral tradition?

The Catholic “Sin of Presumption” says it is a sin to say that you have eternal life. They say that you simply can’t know for sure. But what does the Bible say?

These things have I WRITTEN unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; THAT YE MAY KNOW THAT YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 1 John 5:13
The Catholic religion calls the Bible a lie. The “Sin of Presumption” tradition says that it is a sin to say that you know FOR SURE that you are going to heaven–but didn’t we just read a Bible verse GURANTEEING HEAVEN to the believer?

More verses that the Catholic religion uses to support their heretical traditions.

1 Corinthians 11:2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you. Where does it say, “Listen to Catholic Tradition?” Relevance please?
2 Timothy 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Where does it say, “Listen to Catholic Tradition?” Relevance please?
2 Thessalonians 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. Where does it say, “Listen to Catholic Tradition?” Relevance please? Paul is instructing people who heard him and his fellowlaborers.
Did Jesus say some big multi-BILLION dollar organization would lord over the believer?

Negative, my friend. The pope has got the nerve to claim that he not only has spiritual control over the whole world but that he has temporal sovereignty–that means he is over top of everybody–the President of the United States, the Prime Minister of England–he is everybody’s boss! “You gotta do this, you can’t that, you can’t interpret that, you gotta pay money to get her out of purgatory, you gotta listen to me, me, me!” Catholics scream, “The pope gotta tell us what God wants! We can’t know it for ourselves, we’re too blind! We need an earthly vicar of Christ to tell us what to believe.”

But what did the meek Jesus say? Jesus said that true believers would never lord over other believers. He didn’t just say it one time in the scriptures either–He said it three times:

Matthew 20:25-26 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise AUTHORITY upon them. But IT SHALL NOT BE SO AMONG YOU: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister
Mark 10:42-43 But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise AUTHORITY upon them. BUT SO SHALL IT NOT BE AMONG YOU: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:
Luke 22:25-26 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise AUTHORITY upon them are called benefactors [or maybe, Mother Church?]. BUT YE SHALL NOT BE SO: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
Do Catholics even care about Jesus? He’s been left out of the equation. They’ve replaced Him with “His (un)Holiness, the pope.” Lord have mercy, Jesus.

If the pope was a man of God, what would he do?

Instead of bossing everybody around and telling them how to disobey the scriptures, he’d agree with Paul by saying…

2 Corinthians 1:24 Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.
Hallelujah and thank you Jesus for laying it all out in your word! You are the Word (John 1:1)! Jesus never sanctioned the organization of the Catholic religion, in fact He hates it.

True believers have ALWAYS had the Scriptures
    One Catholic reader said this…

“…You must admit that before the Bible was compiled as it is now, much of it was passed to people by word of mouth.”
I must admit no such thing. The written word of God, the scriptures, have always been available to true believers. Not only that, the written word has always been operative in God’s dealing with mankind. The Ten Commandments were written in stone! It wasn’t this memory business. The Jewish people were the careful custodians of the written scriptures:

What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. Romans 3:1-2
Most of us know how carefully the written word was kept by God’s chosen people, Israel.

God has always emphasized the importance of keeping His written word:

This BOOK OF THE LAW SHALL NOT DEPART OUT OF THY MOUTH; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is WRITTEN therein… Joshua 1:8
Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible and it is ALL about the importance of knowing the scriptures.

But what about in the New Testament? Jesus read from the BOOK Isaiah in the synagogue:

Luke 4:17 And there was delivered unto him the BOOK of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was WRITTEN,
Paul read the gospel of JESUS IN THE WRITTEN WORD! Listen:

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES
We know Timothy had the WRITTEN word of the gospel as a child:

…from a child thou hast known the holy SCRIPTURES, which ARE ABLE TO MAKE THEE WISE UNTO SALVATION THROUGH FAITH WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS. 2 Timothy 3:15
The Bereans didn’t just listen to what the apostles said, but they compared their teaching to the SCRIPTURES to see if those things were so.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Acts 17:11
We are told in the New Testament to study the word and RIGHTLY divide it. That means don’t be misinterpreting! Tell the truth about the Bible, not lies:

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
Well, what is the truth? Jesus told us:

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:17
I could go on and on examining this issue of us true believers always having the scriptures…

The apostles’ WRITTEN epistles were read to the churches (e.g., James, Hebrew, Thessalonians, Colossians, etc.)
Peter referred to Paul’s epistles as SCRIPTURE.
The Ethiopian eunuch was READING THE SCRIPTURES when Philip came up to his chariot.
Did the Catholic religion give me the scriptures?

I can’t believe they are even forming their mouths to say this. The Catholic religion hates the Bible. The Catholic religion killed upwards of 50 MILLION PEOPLE because they wanted to stop the reading of the Bible. What gall they have to mention this thing about giving me the scriptures. They BURNED the scriptures. [The upcoming 400th year anniversary of the King James Bible is a good time to reflect on the Roman Catholic institution’s efforts to hinder the transmission of the Bible to the people.]

Do not be under the false assumption that there was ever a time when the Catholic religion had control of all Christendom. True Bible believers have always been around living, growing and thriving in isolated areas–people like the Waldensians and the Lollardsands.

    Is the Bible enough?

The Catholic religion says, “No, the Bible is not enough. You have to keep it in perspective.” But the Bible says something entirely different. Revelation 22:18-19 says that the BIBLE IS COMPLETE. That means the Bible is not missing anything! There is nothing to be added and nothing to be taken away.

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22:18-19

If you are a Catholic person teaching people to believe in Tradition, you need to re-evaluate what you are doing. Not only do you follow a false gospel, you add to and subtract from God’s word. You might want to read the above again and consider what you are doing.

I’ve compiled a list of every New Testament reference to the word “scripture”. NO WHERE will you find it say that the scriptures are not sufficient for everthing that we need. One Catholic told me,

“The Bible itself never claims to be the sole rule of faith. The Bible claims itself useful to settle disputes, etc..but never, anywhere does it say that faith and Christianity is taught ONLY through the Bible.”
Of course this is not true, but the larger question is this:

Where does the Bible say that it is NOT the sole rule of faith?

If what you believe is supposed to be based on the Bible, then logically speaking, there must be a place that specifically sanctions the Catholic religion and its traditions. You won’t find it. The burden of proof rests on the Catholic, not the Bible believer.

What does Tradition mean to the Catholic?

How does the Catholic reliance on the Traditions of men manifest itself? They quote men like they quote the Bible! In fact, they are commanded to believe 100% of everything that Tradition says and they MUST EQUATE TRADITION with the Bible, the word of God! Catholic quotes:

“…a man by the name of Helvidius concluded…”
“St. Jerome rose up to proclaim…”

    “Pope Pious said…”

Catholics quote MEN just like they are quoting the Word of God and believe EVERYTHING men say! But doesn’t the Bible say, “Let God be true and EVERY man a liar?” They believe lies! They teach lies! They have committed their very souls to liars. Open your eyes and see Catholic reader.

An example of tradition in action.

Let’s take an example of one of their grievious errors–their worship of Mary. It simply CANNOT be justified through the scriptures. It simply CANNOT be done. But it can be REFUTED from the Bible! That’s why they are alway bringing up a “sola scriptura” mumbo-jumbo mix and want to fuss with you about it. The ONLY way that you can assert that Mary was a “perpetual virgin” is through Catholic Traditions. You CANNOT find this error in the Bible. You cannot. It is same thing with practically everything else they believe.

    Conclusion

Either you believe the written word or you’ll believe what MEN tell you about the written word. Catholics will tell you, “I believe the Bible is 100% true and I believe that Catholic Tradition is 100% true.” I’ve got news for you, two contradictory documents cannot both be 100% true. It is logically impossible.

God will not accept your worship based on a lie.

    • Kittii – also if anyone says they don’t need scripture they
are saying they are greater than Jesus – the Son of God – who used scripture to defeat the devil’s temptations.

‘man cannot live by bread alone but by every word which proceedeth from the mouth of God’

  36. Buck;
Just curious, what’s your religious background? I don’t know about anyone else but it helps me to know where someone is coming from. Do you have a problem with that?

  37. Luke 12:2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

Matthew 10:26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

  38. I PRESS TOWARD THE GOAL FOR THE PRIZE OF THE UPWARD CALL OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS.

  39. wow! this has definetly enlightened me….NOT! A whole lot of talk is all…meaningless…Jesus says CHANGE THE WAY WE THINK AND ACT! is all…GROW UP guys…religion is for the unbelievers….the holy spirit is for those who believe in jesus…john 3:16 is all we need to know…and keep the 10 commandments…that SIMPLE…

  40. Thank you wendeloo for bringing this to my attention.
Buck, or whatever you want to be called?
you are denying the Holy Spirit, and as Lyndsey stated, you have revealed for who you are. Matthew 12:33-37

    • oh gee, I wonder who you know who is…… 🙂

    • Dear “youknowwho”…. “itsme”….. or “Lyndsey”

All I did was to suggest that you were “crazy” because you didn’t seem to be able to grasp, or distinguish between what I was referring to as “the numerous translators” of the Bible, (into whatever vernacular of their choosing) and the original inspired text written by the Apostles.
You were the one that unfortunately took that “shot” and created something ugly out of it, and when I had realized that you had taken my intention completely out of context, I then attempted to clarify that under a pseudonym. Then when that didn’t work, I then asked Marianne to forward an email apology to you.

Though this happened almost a year ago now, I am sorry to see that your heart is still bitter over it. For though you did take what I said to you out of context, and misconstrued its intent, (God knows that I would never have said to you what you thought I was saying), I have I made every effort available to apologize to you for it.

I had hoped that my prayers for you to release this, let it go and move forward, had been answered.
I will include you in my prayers again tonight.

      Wishing you Shalom

      • Buck

you know who is not Lyndsey. guess again.

        • LOL…….. Is it the “self righteous” individual that was banned from the site a month or so ago?

What’s their beef with me? LOL.
My judge is Yeshua, and their comments mean little to me.

          • Buck

People can post here as long as they do not harass others, and I have made that known.

Debates are ok,, but waging war isn’t.

            take care.

            • Hey……. I’m not waging war?

I haven’t popped in here in over a week, and the first thing I see is a post directed to me berating me for utilizing a pseudonym by someone else who is also using a pseudonym? (This is not only hypocritical, but something that many individuals do here on a regular basis.)

In respects to “harassment” also included within that post, and directed to me, is the verses Matthew 12:33-37.
So I would ask, since I have not reached out for a comment from this particular individual, and that they chose to instead voice their opinion out of the blue to me with a disparaging comment, “Who between the two of us would be guilty of harassment?”

If I am correct then within my assumption of who this is, (since you offered no clarification regarding their identity), I will simply not respond any further to them. I just thought that it was Lyndsey at first, and felt bad that she was still bitter, rather than healed. If I knew the poster was who I think that it is, I wouldn’t have bothered to respond at all.

              Be Blessed

  41. Oh….. and for anyone else that may be perhaps reading this in the future, while doing a study on a completely different topic, I was able to reconcile the above subject, regarding “going to heaven when we die” in my heart.

It is now my opinion that we Do go to heaven when we die as believers, and I would like to take this opportunity to recant all of my above comments.

    Be Blessed

  42. “buck”
I did not mean to bring out old wounds, and battles, but there is a consistency in them. You consistently deny that the HolySpirit has any role in interpretation or understanding of scripture. If I was trying to “hide” behind aliases, I would not have given myself the name “Youknowwho”, and I would have altered my linguistics in order to deceive you. As for my other “name”, it was three random letters punched in as there were several “David’s” on the site already. You yourself should have known my real name by way of email correspondence. I know you do not wish to interact with me, but your words are your fruit. I was merely reminding others of them. As for my self righteousness, that is what you have accused me of. But if you look closesly at ALL the words I have said, I have merely tried to bring people together in Christ, to show what unites us, but the “vipers” and “false prophets” do not want to see this happen. The best way for them to stop this is to “kill” the messenger. (if there is one theme that spans the whole Bible, it is this)

What is it that unites Christians? The Cross, repentence and belief. I have shared with you and others what each of these things mean. Yet most are stuck in arguing till they are blue in the face of their “interpretation” as being the only way. We as a body know how to criticize one another, but we have lost sight of the cross. Without Jesus I am nothing, as are you, or any other “saint” out there. If giving glory to God and the work of the Holy Spirit in us is “self-righteousness” then I am guilty as charged. But there is also a guilt associated with denying the work of the Holy Spirit and assigning it to the work of “Beelzebul”. I pray this is not you?

Apart from the Holy Spirit, all our “works” are as filthy rags. The rags of the old way of religiousity, and earning our salvation. Whether we believe we earn it by obeying the letter of the law, or by indepth biblical study. “Knowledge puffs up, but LOVE builds up. If any one imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know”

You often quote the Berean interaction with Paul, but what you fail to see is that they “received” his word with eagerness, then they searched the scripture and believed. But if you do not receive the testimony, and instead dispose of it with accusations, then there is no power in that testimony to allow you to grow in your understanding. Jesus said “whoever RECEIVES you RECEIVES me” speaking to the apostles. This is a reference to the Holy Spirit, and the words spoken through the servants of the Lord. When I made a point that perhaps those who are mature in their faith will be called to suffer through the tribulation, instead of being raptured, you rejected this because it does not fit your interpretation of the ten Virgins. Are you receiving the message with eagerness, or are you disposing of it solely on your own understanding? Much like the above arguments with Lyndsey, instead of receiving the revalation given to Lindsey, you turn it to accusations and even mockery, with no repentence whatsoever. Even in 1 John 4, we are told to “test the spirits”, and it gives us a guideline for how to do it. Not to reject them because they do not fit our interpretation of scripture. I suggest you read 1 John 4:6. If there is one thing that I have learned through out the years, is that God uses “least” among us to confound the wise. This is why Love is the foundation of the Gospel, and not intelectulism. We as Christians receive revelations from the Holy Spirit, only if we have put aside our pride, our credibility, our life, etc. all those things we treasure on earth. This is what it means to “take up your cross and follow [him].” If we are so caught up in defending our position, that we cannot receive instruction, then we have not truly crucified ourselves (see Matt. 10:34-42) WE, Our fallen nature always tries to build ourselves up, that we are worthy, but it is not until we truly accept the fact that we are unworthy, and receive him, that we become heirs with him. It is the same with knowledge. Our intelect interferes with our ability to RECEIVE greater understanding (Epignosis as you have called it) It is not until we admit that it is beyond our intelect, that we are able to receive what he has to offer us in the way of revalation by the Spirit. This is why I tried to get you to do a study on the word “receive”.
From the moment of our conversion, we receive his Gift, we receive the Holy Spirit, we receive forgiveness of our sins, we receive wisdom and understanding….You get the picture, there is a total abscence of ourselves in the whole picture, as we have “crucified ourselves”.

Obviously, you can take what I have written here and not receive it, or you can do as the bereans did, and receive it and use the scripture to see if it is so, or you can get defensive and use your own understanding to reject it, because it probably does not “fit” your understanding. If it does not benefit you, then perhaps it will benefit others.
    1 john 5:20

  43. There you go again.

Buck has never denied the role of the holy spirit, and you have not cornered the world market on wisdom. You make assumptions that others who do not agree with you lack all sorts of virtue, and then critique them as if you have all the answers, and condemn them.

    This is wrong.

And when you are told you are wrong, you refuse to stop. You are so convinced, that you are right that you continue on, and create more harm.

If you want to debate an issue, you will use the format,” I disagree because”, then use scripture to back your theory.

You do not resort to personal attacks on the person’s salvation or character.

Spend this time of grace back on the site in reviewing your own character flaws, and putting pride under control, and getting the need to condemn for imaginary sins under control.

I personally do agree that it seems that christians will go through tribulation, but this is not a reason to disrespect another’s interpretation.

    • Marianne
      I disagree because…..
If you could please read my second paragraph, and tell me specifically, how this is self righteousness? If I am giving glory to God, and the work the HS has done in me. Using logic (you are a scientist, are you not?), is this not the opposite of self righteousness, as I am not taking any credit for the work he has done? Would I not be blaspheming the HS if I did not acknowledge the work of the HS in my life? Have I ever said I have “cornered the world market on wisdom”? Have I not admitted and confessed my errors when I have made them? (Think Al in particular) Have I not backed up my arguments with scripture? None of what I have written is about disrespecting anothers interpretation, it is about pointing people to the absolute truths in God’s word. Sin,Repentence, faith, and the cross. Is this the work of demons?
Is this how you will treat Elijah when he comes, and he tries to “turn their hearts…? I can tell you right now that he will speak with authority from God and not from “interpretation” and hermaneutical minutia. Just as he stood up to Jezebel’s false prophets saying “Cry aloud for he is a god. either he is musing, or he he is relieving himself, or he is on a journey, or he is asleep and must be awakened”. So is this self righteousness, or righteous “Jealous[y] for the Lord, the God of Hosts”?

My Goal with buck has been to deepen his understanding as opposed to “personal attack”. I think if anyone reads my comments they will see this. You use the Socratic method to manipulate people, I try to have them confront their ego so as to lead to repentence. Which is more “scriptural”?

Am I trying to make them agree with all my interpretations? by no means. In fact when they learn to trust in the Holy Spirit, I am sure they will build up the body of Christ in unimagined ways. and challenge and even refute my interpretations. I myself have gone from a pre trib rapture person to a no rapture person to a sixth seal rapture person, to a person that says that the Lord will bring on his Kingdom and deal with the church as he sees fit. I trust He will do what is just. I Just know what the word of God says with regard to suffering for our faith, if called to do so, and I will obey his will if that is what He requires of me! But if someone is so stuck on the pre trib rapture interpretation, then they will not hear the Lord’s calling, and know to follow him. And they will miss out on the “great rewards” He has in store for us. (Remember, we RECEIVE his calling, and cannot force it upon ourselves or others) In order to receive, we must be receptive, which is what pride hinders!

Now you can go on accusing me of self righteousness, or pride, but I assure you the Holy Spirit has dealt with that in my life and has sanctified me. You are not hurting me with your accusations, as I have crucified myself. What you see as my pride is merely the assurance the Holy Spirit brings, Knowing that the HS is speaking through me, if not to you then to others who may read this someday.

“The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood. 19. Has not Moses given you the Law? Yet none of you keeps the Law. Why do you seek to kill me?” 20. The crowd answered, “you have demon!…24. ‘Do not Judge by appearences (self righteousness/ legalism), but judge with right judgement.(Moral and theological discernment)’ ” John 7:18-20a, 24. (Parenthesis taken from MacArthur notes for verse 24) (This is part of my scriptural backing for my answer)

Now Marianne, I expect you to answer with “I disagree because” and then back your answer with scripture….lol

btw. as for condemning others, the Bible is quite clear on this, Without the blood of Jesus, we are condemned to death already. Remember, we deserve none of his grace. Reminding people of this, if they are a Christian, should not be an insult, but rather lead one to praise the Lord for the work he has done in us!

Though my words may come off as sarcastic, and demeaning, I assure you they are not the intent in my heart. God bless.

    • Hi Marianne,

Thanks for your support, (and acknowledging the fact that I have never denied the critical importance that the role of the Holy Spirit plays in our lives.) However, this individuals “sticks and stones” don’t bother me whatsoever. (yawn.)

As I have stated before, he is not my judge.

He does appear though to be rather obsessive, and it seems that he lacks the ability to simply let things go, agree to disagree and to move on.
(Sort of like a fat guy on a pork chop. Apparently…. I am the pork chop.) lol.

I hope that you choose not to invest too much time in debate with him regarding this, for as it has been demonstrated in the past, I don’t believe that it will prove to be productive at all.

      Be Blessed

  44. Buck
    I disagree because…..
You did not follow mariannes rules, and resorted to personal attacks, which is nothing new for you!
    I agree because…
I am not your Judge, God Is.

If you see a child shoplifting, do you stop him, tell the Authorities to take action, tell the child’s parents and let them decide the punishment, or do you ignore it all together? Are you self righteous for taking any action? To me this is as simple as that. The Judge, whoever that may be will punish accordingly, based on the testimony of the witnesses. I merely point out the infraction so as to make others aware.

I do have biblical support for this, but you will probably see it as an insult.
May you be blessed as well

btw -You are revealing far more about your character than you think in your interactions here! I let go a long time ago.

  45. I disagree because

I have never used any method to manipulate people. i only allow different debate methods to allow different viewpoints to be discussed.

So that is a false accusation, and you have never apologized for that, since you still cling to it. You do not dictate my intentions to me.

The devil is the accuser of the bretheren, so beware of the behavior pattern.

You tend to misinterpret people’s comments, and then pass judgement. That is erroneous thinking.

Just because you feel the holy spirit guides you does not mean he is guiding someone you disagree with.

You say someone who disagree with you needs to have their ego confronted.

Take the beam out of your own eye first, before you fool around with someone else’s eye.

Also, when someone explains their motives and intentions to you, do not deny them and act like you know their mind better than they do.

    • Hmmm, tag team bout.
      marianne
      i disagree because….
I have your words saying that you use the socratic method in the emails we exchanged. Would you like me to publish them? (That was not intended as a threat, only as defense against your accusation. I do not think you want to start that debate again) Obviously you are hiding this from the people on this site, for what reason I do not know?
      I agree because…
I do tend to misinterpret peoples comments. As do most of us if we are honest with ourselves. I was particularly guilty of this with Al, and when I realized this, I apologized to him. Resolved conflicts can result in unity as much as agreements.

Errors in your so called quotes from me.
Your words ” You say someone who disagree(s) with you needs to have there ego confronted”
I actually said “I try to have THEM confront THEIR ego so as to lead to repentence”
That is a big difference, as it has nothing to do with agreeing or disagreeing, and has everything to do with repentence, and it is not me doing the confronting, it is them. Ultimately, this is the work of the Holy Spirit, not me. They can choose to confront or not confront it. (see proverbs 29:23, James 4:6) It is their loss if they do not. I even said in the next paragraph, “Am I trying to make them agree with all my interpretations? By no means.”

      Micah 6:8

      I completely agree with you.

  47. my name is deborah,,,,my husband calvin died on Jan. 7 2012,,,,we were very close,,,,we are both born again…..at the church when calvin was buried,,,,when the preacher asked for prayer for anyone that had not excepted Jesus as their savior,,,,i closed my eyes,,,and God revealed a beautiful sight,,,,i saw calvin standing in a big opening with alot of movement behind him…..he had on a bright yellow jacket,,,,,( that’s what it looked like to me ) he was smiling with the most beautiful look on his face,,,,,he looked so happy and he just beamed at me…i was so shocked that i open my eyes,,,then closed them back again…and there he was again in the same place ……..he became a part of the background and he was gone……when i got home from the funeral and everyone had left,,,,i open my bible to 2 cor. chap. 3 ver. 17,18…….i did not plan on reading this,,,,it’s just where i open it up too……my eyes went to that…..it reads…….Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom..And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes for the Lord, who is the Spirit,,,,now everytime i feel like i could just lay down and die ,,,the Holy Spirit reminds of this..i have not seen this vision anymore,,,,,but God let me know where my husband is to give me comfort……..i don’t understand about the yellow jacket…that he was wearing,,,,,

    • hi Deborah

You have my heart, prayers and love over your loss.

Yellow tends to mean set backs and struggles before improvement.

I think the yellow jacket was your husband’s recognition of your grieving process, and the hardships you would face after his death.

But he was letting you know that all would be ok in the end, with his beautiful smile.

  48. Thank you so much,,,,,,i am having a hard time…..i know that Jesus will carry me…..he has been doing it since this has happen to me……it’s just hard to go on,,,knowing calvin is not here with me,,,,,,,but i know God wants me to keep going until he calls me home……..thank you…lov deb,,,in Jesus name….i pray…..

  49. My brother in law died last year in June 2011 he was only 25 yrs old and he was electrocuted. We have been mourning his death and it has been very hard for the family and especially my sister who lost her husband. This week my daughter who was also close to my brother in law called me crying saying she had a dream of my brother in law and he was at a church and he was in the congregation and he was beaming with a light around him and he looked beautiful. She says she felt alot of peace and was not scared. She told him we all missed him and he told her he missed us also. He also told my daughter that when you go to heaven that God will reveal all your life to you. He said he saw his life flash before him and the times he strayed away from God. He also told my daughter that he knew my sister was not right but that he still loved her. When my daughter told me that dream and it brought great comfort and made my faith in God even stronger. I dont know if this was a message from God but in my heart I believe it is. I have read all the post but I do believe that God is a God of love and he sees our pain and he allowed this to happen to bring us comfort and some closure. My sister right now is not doing so good. She is dealing with her pain by seeing someone who is not good for her and is partying. We pray for her and she knows but she says we dont understand her. I believe the dream was a message also for her.

  50. Teacher: Since my husband has gone home to be with Jesus,,,,,the only way that i can live with this is to depend upon my God to see me through this,,,,,,i know that my savior died for me,,,,,and he paided a price that i could never paid……he will comfort you and guide you if you let him….through your life ,,,,sometimes we let our human emotions get into play,,,,,we have to learn to live outside of our selves and just ,,,think,,,what would Jesus do……………i also know that when a husband dies,,,God becomes a widow’s husband ,,,,,,and he always takes care of us,,,if we let him…..don’t get me wrong,,,the heartbreak gets unhuman at times,,,,but if we let God help us he will,,,,,,sometimes we try to fine things to get our minds off of it without God’s help,,,we can get into worst situations and make it worst on us,,,,,but we can’t do it without God…..God Bless you and thank you for commenting…..all i can tell you is too pray for your sister…if you have never gone through something like this,,,,,it’s hard to tell you the pain,,,,,,my husband was talking to me and then he was just gone,,,and i watched him and i could not help him……but thanks to my father in heaven i do know where he is at……..i will pray for your sister,,,,,Jesus will see her through this,,,,,and make her right,,,,

  51. Thank you for your response and prayers. I also just experience my uncle and grandmother deaths along with my brother inlaw in the past 7 months. So much grief. I worry about death myself and sometimes too much I start worrying about my family and “what if” that happens to me. I worry about what happens after death. I know it’s crazy cause I do believe in God but with people I know dieing around me it’s so scary. I just put those thoughts to the side and just pray and look for signs that God is with me

  52. Teacher: When God allowed me to see the look on my husband’s face,,,i know it’s wonderful where he is at…..If you confest with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raise him from the dead then you will be saved ,,,,,you don’t have to worry about diying…..he will be right there with you when you go….we have a beautiful life waiting for us when we leave this world…..Just because our body dies,,,,,,,our soul will be free to go home…..you need to read the book ……Heaven is for real……It’s about a little boy who dies when he is being operating on,,,,he goes to heaven ,,,,and when God allows him to come back he tells stuff that only he would have seen……he was just 4 years old…….he said that when Jesus smiles he lights up heaven…….Just live for Jesus and do what he says to do…….Don’t worry our God is a mighty God and he is in control…………..the Holy Spirt will guide you and let you know……he does me all the time……i am looking forward to going home……..

  53. My step mother had been urging me to come and visit my father. “He isvery sick!” She said. I had four children still in school, and had no one to drive them to their schools if I I went away. Three months passed and my father seemed to be on the mend. We emailed each other almost everyday. One day my step mother called me early in the morning just as I was leaving to drive my children to school. She was asking me something about exexutor for my father. I told her I would think about. Then she asked me if I wanted to talk to my father. I didn’t want my kids to be latye for school, so I said, I’m sorry I have to go, tell him I love him, good-bye. I did not realize that that would be the last chance I would have to hear my father’s voice. A few weeks later, on a Saturday morning, my husband got up and left early. I went back to sleep after he left, and had a dream. I dreamt my father walked into my room. He stood at the end of my bed and was just with me. I could feel him so strongly. I could feel all the love in his heart that had for me. We never talked, but I knew he was there for me, just me, being the father I always needed him to be. Then suddenly the phone rang and woke me up. It was my step mother. She said,I am so sorry to tell you that your father passed away this morning. He had come to me in my dream to say good-bye. I still feel his presence though. I seem to be always looking at my watxh when it reads weird times , like 1:23 or 4:44. I wonder if these are mean something? After all he used to be a preacher a long time ago. My father and I had been astranged for twenty years, until I made contact again. He was so happy to hear from me, I am glad for the little time that had at the end. He will always be my daddy.

    • dear rhonda

I think you had a very real experience. God wanted you to have tha last contact with your father, as a comfort. I am not sure what the times mean, unless you are now aware of small details, where you were not before. I am glad to hear of your dream.

The same thing happened to my mother the night her mother died. Her mother appeared to her in a vision dream, and pointed to a picture on the wall. Then the phone rang, and it was my grandfather, reporting the death. When my mom went home for the funeral, she looked behind pictures in the hallway, and found $5000. So there was a purpose for the visitation outside of that last contact. It was also a confirmation that the dream was from god.

  54. My mom saw her father more than 10 years after his death, when I was at college. She only told me. We are Christians. My grandfather was a minister. We are open to all the possibilities God has, yet we try to be aware of evil. My mom’s dog was barking like crazy and she saw an elderly man coming down the driveway. He came to the door and knocked. It took a moment before my mom recognized him. She opened her mouth to suck in breath, turned to get my father and when she turned around he was gone. Was it a person that had come to ask for help along the lake? Her father? An evil spirit looking like her father? I think probably none of those. It was a vision the Lord allowed her to see so that she would know she would see her father again. Sometimes God allows us to see visions that will comfort us. It doesn’t mean it was really the person. It’s just a vision. Maybe like a TV set. A vision of our loved ones on the other side. That does not go againsts anything that Jesus teaches us since this never harmed or scared her in any way. I believe her. She never had that experience again. She had been thinking about her father a lot at that time and I believe God allowed that comfort.

    • hi jamie

the more I hear these things, the more I believe it is possible to have a vision of a deceased loved one

it sounded like he was “coming to visit her”

I have one friend who insists his deceased wife came to visit him once, to tell him how nice heaven was.

these experiences sound heavenly in origin to me, although we should always use discretion in evaluating any experience.

  55. I have 2 deceased loved ones who have visited me multiple times, both in dreams and while i was awake. The first time it happened I actually had been praying to God for awhile to please let me know they are okay. I have also been spoken to by God before. I get feelings about things, and sometimes even visions, and they are always right. People who know me in real life can attest to this. It is NOT sorcery because I do not make these things happen, cannot control them, nor do I call any of it up. It just happens, and things like this have happened to me since I was very young. I do know there are demons or evil spirits who sometimes attempt to deceive or use other forms to mislead you, give you bad advice, etc…..and they have on occasion attempted to do this with me….but sometimes when a loved one visits it IS actually them. God will let you know in your heart and soul what is right and wrong when a visitor comes, and when it is not your loved one or not a good spirit/angel trust me you will know! You can see it in the eyes, and anyone who has had these experiences knows what I am talking about. I do not care if you say I am a witch or demon or some bad person, because I am NOT, and I know I am not, and most importantly God knows I am not. I do not base my life and spiritual growth on the judgements or admonishing of other people who know not what they speak about, have no experience with certain things, and only recite stuff others have said. God has made his love for me very crystal clear, and has also made it very clear that I am not to listen to judgemental, misled people.

  56. I believe God allows our loved ones souls to visit us in times of need. I’m 46 and vividly remember being 5 when my greatgrandmother died. I turned to walk away from her casket and heard her tell me to “watch out for those rattlesnakes” where I used to play at her house in the country. I even walked up to my dad and asked him if dead people could talk and he smiled and said no. My grandmother on my mom’s side died in 1994 and my dad died in 1996. I’m divorced and a few years ago I had a dream my girlfriend and I were lying in bed watching tv when I heard the door to the kitchen open. I leaned over and through the bedroom door I could see them both standing in the kitchen looking at me and smiling but not a word was said. Months later I dreamed again that my girlfriend and I were walking through a restaurant with some people at work and I heard someone say “Michael”. I turned to look and my grandmother was sitting next to two other older ladies and she just smiled at me in her pretty pink dress. My girlfriend and I broke up last year and it’s been really hard on me. Since then I’ve had so many dreams I began keeping a diary of them. My grandmother was in one again where the whole family was together and my exgirlfriend was there with me. My grandmother never said a word but just sat there and I wasn’t sure if anyone realized she was there. My exgirlfriend got up without a word and walked over to my grandma who looked up at her, smiled, said something and held her arms up. My exgirlfriend got down on her knee and they hugged. I had another dream where they were talking and my grandma was joking with me to make me smile and my ex looked at me and told me she loved me. Those dreams of my grandmother gave me a very peaceful feeling and a feeling of hope this last year when I have been more heartbroken than I could ever have imagined. So yes I do believe they can communicate with us, but not in the body they once inhabited.
I believe in dreams though some may not. 25 yrs ago I dreamed I was at my class reunion and it was on a commercial jet (I’ve worked in the aviation industry for 22 yrs now) and I was ticked because I didn’t want to be there and couldn’t leave because we were in the air. I didn’t talk to anyone, I just stood there watching. The next evening I went to work and found out a guy I graduated with died that night. I didn’t see him on the plane and we were only acquaintances. In early 1995 I dreamed I was walking into the funeral home my family has always used since before I was born. My mom came out of the viewing room crying telling me she loved my dad. I stood at the door and stared at him in his casket. Four months later he was diagnosed with cancer and 3 months after that he died. So yes, I believe I was being prepared for his death, being an only child who would be the only one here for my mom. Not everything unexplainable is evil. I believe that’s why they call it faith and is determined by what you have in your heart.
I do believe in evil as well. When I was a kid, a mean old man lived next door and he was an atheist. His wife told my mom that one day the den was very cold and he said he had the spirits of Hitler, Stalin and Napoleon there. She got out her bible and began reading and the room started getting warmer. My mom also had an aunt who was mean to people and drank a lot. She died on the operating table and was brought back. She told her kids she went to hell and whatever she saw changed her forever. She got saved and was a different person after that.
None of these topics can be easily explained but I think God shows us what he wants to in a way to help us understand easier and not blow it off as just a dream. Even if it means allowing the people we loved the most to visit and see us through.

    • dear mike

thank you for sharing those experiences. I hope you continue to be blessed by the Lord and feel his comfort for the losses you have had. we will see him soon, I hope.

  57. Last night I had a dream that my deads brother grave was empty. Someone stole his body, he died 11 years ago. I have no idea what it means can someone help me??

    • dear andreina

I am not sure, but the empty grave with the missing body may mean some kind of trouble, since the dead is not “resting in peace.”

be alert in the coming days for trouble in your family or friends.

    • Andriena, did your brother know the Lord? I had a waking dream vision of my brother in the midst of a great host of the Lords children who were following the Lord on this beautiful white horse. The Lord was so beautiful and intent and those that followed Him were the same. It was powerful and beautiful and they were not in graves I know for they were all in white and looking toward us the living on earth as though it would not be long for His return and they were with HIm whose return we all wait for.

Your dream makes me think the Lords’ return is very soon for then indeed his grave will be empty. We used to sing a song at Church long ago…the grave is empty, won’t you come and see….

Those who have passed on are the Lords or have rejected Him and dwell only in one of two places. My brother loved the Lord and died once and was brought back for but a few months before He was taken to be with the Lord. He told me that when he had died that he was brought almost to this great light through a tunnel and when he returned to earth there was an angel sitting as though waiting for him and I knew the Lord was taking my beloved brother home to Himself soon. There is a scripture that says the Lord does nothing that He does not reveal to His servants and now I have to confess I have not looked up the original texts and what they mean but, I will here after, but, I know that He has always shown me in vision or dream when He has done anything in my life and those I love or those who have done evil and I have prayed for them:

Amos 3:7 …Surely the Lord GOD does nothing Unless He reveals His secret counsel To His servants the prophets.

John 15:15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

    • Andrienna, I did look up the meanings of the words secret, servants and prophets…. actually all of the sentence and it is quite beautiful for one of the words in the lexicons meaning of secrets is intimacy for the Lord is always kind in His dealings with His children and means well to us.

He thinks kindly on His children and of His children and would have us talk with Him as a good Father who cares for us so He speaks even when we might be scared to hear Him because He might want to encourage our hearts. This is His way and nature. Israel was afraid to hear or see Him speak so they told Moses to go and take care of this relationship instead of Him talking face to face with them. Through Christ this way is open to us and He often speaks to His children in dreams and vision because in this busy world we are not often open to Him or are afraid.

Think on His love toward you when asking Him about your dream and whether it is of Him or not and do not be afraid to approach Him for He is always kind to His childfren and knows we are but flesh.

  58. My dad told us that our Nan was sleeping and his brother Steven died in a car crash, nan had a dream or a vision that he had crashed and she woke up. She told Pop (grand father) that he had crashed but pop just told her it was a dream and that she should go back to sleep.
Soon she had another vision that her son Steven was standing in front of her with a few other 18 year olds and they were smiling at her, and a sphere came down and lifted them up as they disappeared. Then it was as though she was pushing her son up, and he disappeared also. She had incredible pain and woke up again and told pop that Steven was dead. Pop once again told her that it was just a dream. A couple hours later, the police rung home and told her that Steven had died.

My fathers brother Steven died when he was 18 in a car accident along with a few friends.

    • dear jonathan

My mom also saw her mother in a dream the night she died. I believe it may be possible that God allows this, to help those left behind in the grieving process.

  59. I have had three experiences where shortly after loved ones have died they have come to me in dreams.First one was when i was 28 my mothers first cousin died from cancer. A few weeks after her death i saw her in the back of a truck in a cage sitting. This truck was going slow and as she passed me by she had her hand stuck out of the cage and it brushed mine as the truck went by me. I yelled out to her that i would save her as she completed a circle of the street i lived on. But as she passed by after coming around the same thing happened and she drove away. I woke up with tears upset that i couldnt save her. The next experience was after my dad passed, I couldnt settle i was upset distraught and crying a lot. About a week or two after his passing i felt twice a presence i felt this strongly. Then one night i had this dream where he came to me and he was to the left of me i could see him clearly just the top part of him he looked a much younger man , he had a halo and bright light all around him and he was smiling and looked so happy.
His words to me were. I am ok dont worry. Then i woke up and felt this huge relief and i began to feel better after this encounter. The third dream was shortly after another cousin older then me died, I dreamed i saw him in this huge parking lot as i was getting into my car i looked at him and he was waving to me and i got in my car drove slowly and could see him in my rear view mirror continue to wave. I did not know this man had died when i ha this dream and found out shortly after, people told me he had come to me in a dream to say goodbye. All my experiences have been very real and in some ways comforting.

  60. With God’s permission they can. Our Lady especially appeared in Fatima. Mary appearing in Fatima partlyt fulfilled Revalation 12 as when she was clothed with the sun 70000 people repented.

Do not listen to these false prophets who say that the catholic church is the whore of babylon. Babylon is America and England. Babylon has fallen has fallen – 2 times = babylon is 2 countries.

The catholic church was founded by jesus christ.

Jesus will defeat the antichrist with his mothers scapular and rosary. 555(mary) will defeated 666(antichrist.

If you would like more information imbox my email. God bless you.

Also remember Abraham appeared to Jesus

    • Paul E
Rev 12:1-4 and half 5 is Jesus birth.
Babylon is USA but not England
I don´t beleive that Mary is special. We havve made som misstakes in our Church and that is to call Mary a saint.

Where do you find that Abraham appeared to Jesus. Moses and Elijah appeared to him but I have missed Abraham.

    • Hi Paul,

      Revelation 1:1., states;
“The “Revelation” of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants “things which must shortly come to pass”; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John:”

The English “Revelation” above is derived from the Greek “ἀποκάλυψις”, or transliterated “apokalypsis” and means; “Laying bare, making something naked. A disclosure of truth, or instruction concerning things before unknown. Used of events by which things or states or persons hitherto, (or until this time) have been withdrawn from view are made visible to all. A manifestation, or appearance.”

This would then mean, that all of this following information has been until now, “hidden and unknown”.

John also states within that same verse, that this is revealing, this showing to His servants are “things which must shortly come to pass”.
This “shortly come to pass” and the definition for “apokalypsis” can only be understood within their correct context, as to be referring to to the future from when John had this particular Vision, rather than having any historical significance whatsoever.

Therefore, how could the “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:” of Revelation 12:1., possibly be Mary?
Perhaps if you were to read Genesis 37:9,10. you would receive a different perspective as to who the verse may be referring to.

Yes Yeshua, (Jesus) being the KING of the Jews and the Holy Son of God, will defeat satan. But not by using any scapular or rosary, but by the “spirit of His mouth” and the “Brightness of His Coming”. 2 Thessalonians 2:8. Yeshua is the creator of all things and requires nothing other than Himself to overcome anything that was created.

      Believe what you wish though.
Be Blessed in Yeshua HaMashiach the KING of kings and LORD of lords.
      Amen

      Adam,

If Paul doesn’t get back to you about your question regarding Abraham, he could be referring to Genesis 18:1-ff., Genesis 22:11., and Genesis 22:15-ff.

  61. Mary will be ATTACKED more and more in the coming times and this because satan knows that he will be defeat by a humble jewish woman (purest of creatures). Satan was once the highest with God and now Mary is so satan HATES (100%) REMEMBER THAT.

Where Mary is loved Satan is Hated and Mary’s son(jesus) is followed.
Where Mary is hated Satan is Hated and Mary’s son(jesus) is rejecjed.

If you are Catholic you are one of the saints in the book of revalation and you will be attacked as well as your mother Mary.

“And the dragon was angry with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus”. Revalation 12 : 17

    • If Mary was born without sin then why didn’t she die on the cross for the sins of the world? Mary needed a Savior just like the rest of us. Satan was kicked out of heaven because he wanted to be worshipped . So any so called vision telling us to worship them is a sure sign you are hearing from a demon. I am an ex catholic. The catholic religion is a false religion. The bible is the ultimate authority not the pope. There is no purgatory. You can’t work your way to heaven. No one can pray you out of purgatory because it does not exist. The bible states it is appointed for man to die once and then comes the judgment. The dead do not come back they are demons. I have seen demons they do exist. I was not afraid of them they were afraid of me because I have the Holy Spirit living on the inside of me. When Jesus died on the cross He paid our sin debt in full, but it is up to us to accept His free gift. Ephesians 2:8-9 Salvation is a gift not by works lest any man should boast. Open your eyes to the truth and accept Jesus’ gift before it is too late. Jesus said you must be born again to enter the kingdom of heaven!!!

  62. Hi Marianne,

My name is Michelle and I have come across your site after an encounter I just had. I have just undergone a stressful period in my life and thoughtI would sit out in the garden today to reflect on what was happening and I started looking at the clouds.

The amazing thing is I started seeing faces in them. There was one cloud that kept evolving and I saw several faces that I did not know. I smiled at them and they smiled back and then dissolved.

The cloud reformed and I got the faceof someone who was angry. I smiled at him and told him it was alright and he smiled back and dissolved too.

Then the cloud reformed and it was the face of my father in hospital who passed away unexpectantly. He was still in hospital, like I remember suffering, but there was someone else there to his left that was guiding him.

I was overcome with emotion and cried my eyes out to extend my love. He kept looking at me unsure (as he was non compus atthe time he passed due to life support).

I kept talking to him and telling him I loved him and I miss him and then all of a sudden I saw him recognise me… And then the cloud dissolved!

I can notunderstand what happened right there, but I believe I saw my dad as well as some other peoples loved ones and also believe someone drove that experience.

How was I meant to know to look at the clouds? I think it was closure for my dad to move onto a better place not sick. I bave never grieved like I did today as I am the one that has had to pick up the pieces for the family since he passed.

I am absolutely honoured, sad and touched if I was the one to get him a smooth path to hea en. All it took was a cloud that kept reforming.

I love you dad and miss you but I hope I helped you come to closure. Thankyou for making the skies blue again. The clouds disappeared after that and I now have a crystal blue sky.

Marienne if you could hope me process this, that would be fantastic. I believe in whatI saw and know my dad is now rested. Any adviceyou have to give is greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards,
    Michelle

It sounds like God has already done more for you than I could, but I am always willing to be a support person.

I had experiences like that when my father died. Different but the impact was the same. God was comforting you, and giving you a chance to have closure.

The Lord has a wonderful way of using the little things in nature to speak to us, and announce he is with us.

sometimes it is a rainbow, a cloud, a small bird, a butterfly that shows up at just the right time.

Elijah once sought god in a mountain top. strong winds came by but God was not in them. then an earthquake and a fire….

Finally, a still small voice came, and Elijah hid his face in his mantle.

I believe you had a still small voice moment, but your experience was visual, not auditory.

We should bless the Lord at all times, and he will stay close to us, and reveal himself to us in many small ways.

heaven is a beautiful place, and your father is now at rest. he is walking with angels, and will be waiting for you when it is your turn to come.

He is in “good hands” now. 🙂

I pray that god renews your strength each day so that you can handle family business and continue to fulfill your role on earth that is God’s will for you.

You and your family are going to be ok. God will make a way for all the things that you need.

  63. Id love to be able to see my mother for i miss her so much.my mother passed feb 2005.its been so hard on me.i just would like to ask if shes happy.and safe.i love her so much.im 58 yrs old and camt get over my mothers death. It stays with me night and day..

    • dear vick

are / were you and your mother believers in yahshua ( Jesus)?

I understand your heart ache. My mother died in 1998. Have heart. I pray God comforts your heart.

  64. About a month ago I lost my cousin, whom I’d spent my childhood growing up with. Although, we’d grown up and taken different paths in life, her death took an unbelievable toll on me. It still doesn’t feel real. The other night she came to me in an incredibly vivid dream. She was standing clear in front of me, in the clothes she had been buried in. Yet, she couldn’t have looked more alive. She was telling me to do something, continuously repeating, “You have to do this.” I can’t recall what she was telling me to do, yet I felt the urgency and importance in her voice. I said, “But you’re dead.” However, she just kept telling me, “Jenna, you have to do this.” Any help?

    • jenna

I do not have an answer for you. maybe there will be a second dream to explain the first one. the only relevant and urgent message I can think of that would come from someone beyond the grave would be salvation.

are you saved? do you know jesus as your personal savior? if yes, you will have eternal life in heaven. but if no, you will spend eternity alienated from god and suffer greatly.

was she saved? if not, she may be telling you to give your heart to jesus and repent of your sins before you die, or you will suffer like her.

let me know if I can help or answer more questions.

  65. Marianne,
Yes, I am saved, as was she. She was actually the person who had gotten me saved.

    • ok that is good to hear. maybe she wanted to prepare for the disasters to come? physical preparation of food and water and much prayer?

or you are in danger, and need to move?

  66. Not that there has been any sign of. However, I did just get back into a relationship with my most recent ex, of a year. Could it be a sign towards that? Or I have been having a lot of signs that point towards potential motherhood?

  67. Some people might not believe in the afterlife I didn’t for the longest time since my father’s passing, I’ve had visions or dreams of him. The first one Ieever had was the strangest one. The message I thought he was sending me was I needed an animal to have as a companion. Well not must later lucky my sisters cat came to my life. Months later he returned with another message this one was full of anger and it was not a good one. He wasnt happy with who I was dating ( the guy was abusing me) and my father wanted me to know he wasn’t okay with that . just 2 months ago around the time he passed 2yrs ago(the anniversary). He came to me and we had a thirty min conversation and I was told from him he was okay, and I was to let him go, and I argued with him and told him no. I hardly ever Told my dad no, he was my friend and my everything I told him I didn’t want to let him go, I’m not over my fathers death and its hard with fathers day on Sunday how do I move on so I don’t dwell on his death and focus on my life to come?

    • hi molly

You are very close to your father, so I can see feeling his thoughts about you.

death is a very final event. at least for an earthly existence.

you will have to focus on the next life to see him again. this is one reward that the Lord has for us, if all the loved one are believers.

  68. I experienced my fathers spirit next to me a few times. Like you know that feeling as you were a child. You felt your dad looking at you being proud of you.
But my mother looks to be in good health being 70 yrs old. She told me she seen my grandmother that has past away 20yrs ago in spirit and was talking with her. I was shocked. Usually when people are getting close to crossing to the other side they see and talk to their love ones. Being nervous.

  69. My mom just passed away this Saturday from cancer. She had battled it for 18 months and the cancer went from her lungs to spreading to her bones. She ended up with a spine fracture and 3 pelvis fractures and going from the hospital to hospic within 24 hours. When hospice brought her home she passed away within 48 hours and passed away at 4:20 in the morning. When my husband walked int the room it was within 5 minutes of her passing away and when he woke me up to tell me my mom had passed I knew when he called my name, that she was gone. After I stood up and cried I felt a warm tingle like an energy filled blanket being wrapped around my shoulders and covered my whole back. It was comforting, so I am believing it was the holy spirit letting me know my mom was with the lord. Has anyone else experienced this?

    • paula

yes. a friend of mine died on aug 23rd. I was elsewhere praying for a friend in a nursing home. when I opened my eyes there was a haze in the room, and it felt peaceful. 30 min later, someone texted me and told me he had died. he died while I was praying. I believe the peace I felt was also from the holy spirit to let me know he was ok now. he also had been fighting cancer.

  70. I really believe it was the holiy spirit, and I have been told if it was my mom that isnt a good thing because to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord. Does everyone on here have bible verses that will back up that GOD will allow loved ones to see us and to let us know they are okay? I had a very strong bond with my mom and she lived with us and I think I have only been away from her 6 years of my life. She was always ill.. I read all the above posts about things such as windows in heaven and I am really struggling with the fact that she passed worrying about me and I need peace with that..

    • paula

I really don’t know of any scripture supporting this experience. It would take a long search to find it. Not every topic is discussed in the bible either. We can be “with the Lord” and possibly still visit a loved one after we pass on. At least, that is the view here. Remember, the Lord is omnipresent.

  71. I dont want to go into too much detail because my mom just passed away August 31 and I am still in a great deal of pain. What I did want to say is we were buying a house, me and my husband. The night I signed the paperwork on the house, right after my mom passed away, my husbands girlfriend emailed me and told me he was cheating on me. So we are going through a very tragic time and I have two very young daughters. I really believe my mom had something to do with it. She loved my husband but none of us knew he was leading a double life. Right after she passed away we found out. I dont think that is coincidence. I think GOD allowed my mom to help in some way. I dont know how this whole thing works but I really feel she had something to do with it.

  72. My husband had a dream a few days ago of his deceased uncle who was murdered a year ago. His uncle told him in this dream that he will only live at the age of 52 years old. My husband is 46 years old, is this common for a decease relative to tell a loved one this in a dream? Can this be some type of warning? I am a Christian and I’ve been praying that one day my husband will give his life to Jesus. Even though he said he will because he had promised he would. I pray that it will be soon.

    • pauline

While it may be just a dream, his subconscious is working to tell him something.

the way the world is going, the perils, dangers, disasters, incoming space objects headed close to earth, and pending world war 3, the dying things of nature ( fish of all kinds, birds, etc)……it might be that we ALL are gone in 6 years.

I would take advantage of this dream and learn from it…..his mind is telling him that he might not be around much longer….so this is a good time to seek God in his life and get right with God.

the Lord told me in 1998 that I would not be around here for my retirement. I have 2 years to go!

so there may be some reason for this dream, and maybe God is trying to send him a message through his uncle

  73. I am a Christian and did not believe this 40 days visitation until my mum passed away last month. The first week or during the 9 days after her passing, there were signs that she came to visit me by unmistakable smells and fragrance. The first one was the unmistakable smell of my mother with her skin moisturizer; the second one was the same smell plus fragrance of a flower which I did not really know what kind of flower it was. The third time which lasted the longest, about 6 to 8 seconds was totally the fragrance of the flower which was a strong fragrance. The next day I went to my friend’s house and his friend who was staying with him got to know about this and went to my friend’s garden and brought back some flowers which is JASMINE and it was exactly 100% the fragrance I experienced the night before. After that, I am a total believer in this 40 day-visitation. My church actually forbids us to believe in all this and told us that the soul sleeps after death until resurrection day but now I Know this is not true – the soul does visit their loved-ones and give signs to try to comfort them. I am comforted by the signs but I am still in great agony because the loss is real in a physical sense where I could not see her physically anymore and I do not have the chance anymore to care for her, cook for her, wash her laundry, buy her favourite foods, etc.. And now that she is gone, I only realized that it was a privilege and enjoyment to serve her while she was alive because we enjoyed talking to each other very much and she was always there for me no matter what! And I will always remember that My Mother is the only person in the world that truly loves me unconditionally.

    • dear check

usually the fragrances are associated with the holy spirit coming to comfort you. in this case, he brings to you things that remind you of your mother in order to help you heal, and to let you know that all is well with her..but then, who knows, she may be with him…she would not be able to travel back into your dimension with out his help…I am glad you are receiving this comfort…..I wish you healing during this loss.

  74. I lost my grandad to cancer 2 years ago, and he was like everything too me .. he was my grandad, my best friend and the closest person to a father to me. Every night since he died I cry myself to sleep and thinking can he see me? I talk to him, but sometimes I feel stupid but I do it anyway to feel close to him. Anyway a few months ago I had this dream where my grandad drove to his house and I was standing outside and I ran in to get my nana and sister and they didn’t believe me he was back. So we ran up to him and he was driving his old red car and he stood up out of the car and it was strange because my grandad had a stroke when I was a baby so only his right part of his body worked? So I couldn’t understand why he was walking and standing. Then I heard him saying goodbye to my nana and sister and he was it was my turn to say goodbye and he refused I tried giving him a hug and he still said he wasn’t ready to let go and say goodbye, he gave me a tissue as I cried watching him leave and when he left I woke up bawling crying with the tissue he gave me in his hand. I looked up on the Internet and apparently he was saying his goodbyes but I still don’t know why he didn’t say goodbye to me, ut upsets me a lot but also makes me feel like he’s always by my side

  75. One night I decided to talk to the dead at an old church nearby my town. We used an Ouija board. Everyone there knew me, but didn’t know any of my family members. When speaking to one spirit named Madison, she told me my mothers middle name. Then speaking to another named Nancy, she spelled out my great grandfathers name, the nickname he could only call me, my ex’s name who broke my heart and that he loved me. No one knew any of this stuff. I didn’t move the pointer. I cried for awhile and a sudden peace fell over me. the chruch was no longer scary to me.. I felt protected and safe. It was a beautiful thing. I needed to have it happen. I was dealing with great depression and that happening made me want to fight knowing my loved ones who passed still care. Thank God for allowing my grandfather to speak to me..

    • marie

It sounds like you need assurance at that time about your deceased loved ones, and was seeking comfort.

In your case, you were dealing with what is called familiar spirits….

familiar spirits communicate with other spirits over you, which are NOT from God, and get information from the spirits that know you, to give you in the reading….so the (demonic) spirit in the ouiji board talked to a (demonic) spirit and got information about you, then repeated it to you.

the reason they do this, to provide accurate information, is to win your trust, so you will go back…..THEN you will be fed false information, or information that is only partly true, to deceive and mislead you.

so your grandfather never spoke to you….he is gone…that was a demon, a familiar spirit.

although I can see that the ouiji board gave you some relief, it is a deception, and will only hurt you later.

what you must do is put your trust in God for your comfort, not demonic beings playing with your heart.

you have my prayers for healing and comfort. also read the psalms and the new testament in the bible….it will help you also

  77. I take fotos in my room and clearly see white lights on pics, i even video my room and find lots of white flashes moving across the room, i would like to know what this is please

    • sue

I do not know what the white lights are…..

first have the photos analyzed by a photo expert….and see if they are just something from the camera……

      let me know

  78. Hey 14 years ago my baby girl passed away. I had a dream just a few mins ago I’m so scares and upset she came back as a infant to save me as evil spirits were after me. After she saved me she begin to disappear I was able to hold her when this happened but her face begin to sink in as she disappeared. Why did I dream this please help me!

    • dear cin

your baby girl represents innocence…she is letting you know that evil is after you.

your baby girl wants you with her when you die.

evil is after everyone right now, even if they don’t know it.

      seek God in your life.

repent of any sins or wrongdoing, to close the door on any spirit that would have access to you.

you did not mention if you are saved or not..if you aren’t, then you need to make your salvation sure.

I am going to send you some prayers against witchcraft and for deliverance…also, prayer for salvation. print them out and say them each day. I will be in agreement with you.

  79. My ex husband died and I was grieving for my daughters but mostly the for months because of the guilt I felt for our lost relationship and my part in it. About 3-4 months after he died I was crying before I fell asleep. I finally did fall asleep with a heavy heart and guilt. In a dream my ex husband came to me, he was very handsome about 30 years old very healthy (he was very sick when he died) and he looked me in the eyes and told me He loved me and forgives me. He gave me a kiss and I woke up! It was so real and I wanted so bad to just hold onto that feeling!! I didn’t want to wake up. After the dream I have been very peaceful knowing he’s in heaven with the Lord and I believe that was Gods mercy and Grace to let me know he forgave me.

  80. So, how would one is explain, my son came to me in broad daylight, to let me know he passed. And his son told us he seen his dad on two occasion. And when he would go to his grave sight, he would tell his mom to go sit farther away, or in the car, because he wanted to talk to his dad alone.

    • gloria

      there are two possibilities

first, the most positive…that the Lord has given favor and mercy, allowing the son to visit loved ones.

second,, a familiar spirit impersonating the son….if this were true, he might be leading others in a way against god…..we should always be aware of this so as not to be hurt

but let us hope it is the first way, and that it is a blessing from god

  81. This dream came twice, the late father of my child died in 2012 committed suicide. He was smilling, hugging and telling me he wants another child with me.Second time he told my sister about the same thing. Please help me to understand what is he trying to say.

    • daisy

your subconscious is aware of this deep desire of the father to have another child.obviously, this would not be possible with him, but maybe he wants you to have another one for the sake of the first child

  82. I have been having dreams of my grandmother lately. She died many years ago. She asked me if i really have ever called upon the Lord for help. I have been struggling with an addiction & have prayed for God’s help. But maybe she is telling me i need to search for his will with more effort. I’m confused.

    • samantha

it sounds like the Lord is using a dream about your grandmother to get a message to you to get close to him….it may be the answer to your prayers for deliverance from addiction

spend time alone with god, read the bible alone, read the psalms, and words of jesus in the new testament……take time to think about what is there.

I feel the Lord will deliver you if you just do this for him.

  83. Samantha,

I suggest reading your Bible more. It gives comfort. Before you open it – ask the Lord to give you understanding in what you read. Easy.

    Open to 1st John.

Confess your shorcomings and weakness (addictions). Accept Him as your personal Messiah by running to Him (in your heart). He loves you. So, go to Him.

Read Psalm 88. He was really messed up. Then, see what happens by reading Palam 89.

Read Psalm 51 (really messed up) and then Psalm 40.

    Read Psalm 25 slowly.

Read Psalm 103 over and over. Say it aloud. Say it often.

Read those Psalms and maybe you’ll see passages that you could write.

    Read Jerimiah 9:23-24

    “Here is what Adonai says:
‘The wise man should not boast of his wisdom, the powerful should not boast of his power, the wealthy should not boast of his wealth; instead, let the boaster boast about this:

that he understands and knows me — that I am Adonai, practicing grace, justice and righteousness in the land; for in these things I take pleasure,’ says Adonai.”

Thank Him for His mercy and grace.

    Armor of God Prayer

    God bless you!

    See you in heaven.

  84. recently i lost my sis doughter we both very close but now she passd away ……every second i am dieing without her i want her back so plese tel me het soul will come back to our home .she will rebirth in our home only na plese tell me

    • manjushri

I wish I could assure you that your loved one will come back to you, but I cannot.

there is only one life, and then the soul goes to either god or hell.

reincarnation is a widely accepted belief, but it is not true.

I pray that God comforts you in your time of grief.

put your trust in Him, and he will help you heal from all this sadness.

  85. I know for a fact that Living Souls exist after death. My Mother (FB Photo) died in 1/2009 as did her Mother just a few hours before my Mother had a major stroke.

Anyway’s in August ‘2010 while washing dishes, I saw a ray of light out of the corner of my eye and turned to the right, I jumped startled and exclaimed, “Mother! I see you standing over there!” I was wide awake and not in any kind of trance. There she stood all Aglow from head to toe. We buried her in a stark white suit, blouse and hat (but her raiment was Golden (not polished), but just like Pure Gold in the rough…She was absolutely Beautiful! She was no demon and I recognized her right away, she looked EXACTLY LIKE HERSELF WITHOUT THE FLESH (REAL) BUT HER SPIRITUAL BODY (INNER MAN) WAS IN ACT (HAVING BOTH ADAM _LIVING SOUL) & (THE WORD OF GOD _SON OF GOD THE CHRIST JESUS (FLESHLY FEATURES)…INNER TO ALL SPIRITUAL BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO COME TO OUR CHURCH TO HAVE IT EXPLAINED TO YOU IN PERSON.

Anyway’s, my Mother’s Soul was leaning on my supply closet at the rear of my kitchen (apt) and I was debating darting past her when she stood up and walked towards me smiling. I said to her, “Mother, you can see me?” SHE nodded “Yes”, I said, “You can hear me too,” She nodded, “Yes” Lawd! She started to walk towards me! I asked her if she had wings and if she was an Angel..I didn’t see any wings!!!

She is God (of Israel). Only the pure in heart SHALL SEE GOD (AND THE HOLY SPIRIT WITH WHOM I NOW WALK SAYS “THE SON OF GOD IS WITH AND IN HER.) AND SHE SAY’S “HE WHO CAN SEE SPIRIT’S SHALL SEE ME AND MY SON.” SHE ALSO SAY’S IF YOU CAN’T SEE SPIRIT’S OR ARE AFRAID, YOU CAN FEEL HER HOLY GHOST POWER THROUGH THE FINGERS OF HER ANOINTED ONE IN THIS DAY AND GENERATION, AT OUR CHURCH “THE SPIRITUAL ISRAEL CHURCH AND IT’S ARMY ; GENERAL ASSEMBLY CHURCH OF THE FIRST BORN WHICH ARE WRITTEN IN HEAVEN (IN THE HEART) AND NOT UP IN THE SKY!

“OUR KING AND PASTOR” BISHOP BOBBY DAVIS. http://WWW.SICIASUPREME.ORG
THE GOD OF ISRAEL IS THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE AND LIVING GOD AND HIS SON (OUR BROTHER) JESUS WAS ALSO AN ISRAELITE AS TOO WE ARE AN ISRAELITE.

COME HEAR A MAN AND BE A WITNESS OF THE FATHER, SON AND HOLY GHOST “THESE THREE (3) AGREE IN ONE (1).” AMEN!

    • IsraelsLight Starz

I can believe that you may have seen your mother for a moment of comfort, but I do not believe your mother is the God of Israel.

that is unscriptural, delusional and ridiculous.

also, I checked the webpage you gave…..it is quite arrogant that a mere man calls himself bishop and KING of Israel and has his wife referred to as Queen Evangelist Reverend Bride.

there is a lot of pomp, external display and self glorification in this church.

this is a power trip…..I suggest you attend a church that does not exalt common people as kings, queens and gods.

this is also idolatry, and you are all in danger of hell, unless you all repent before the REAL GOD YAHWEH for this mess.

      • Believe what you know for only you know what you experienced. No one else should be telling some one else what to believe & what not to believe. I know what I heard, what I experienced is true. No one else experienced what I did so they cannot tell me what I saw & heard. That’s just rude, stupid and not right. Believe Marianne, Lots of Hugs, Bernadette

        • bernadette

to believe one’s mother is the god of israel is foolish

i would be negligent if i said nothing.

the lady I was addressing needs to understand bible truth

her mother did not say she was a god in her vision

she concluded that on her own.

  86. I know what you’re saying…..it sounds strange but if that’s what she knows to be true, so be it. However, maybe she does, like you said, have to understand the Bible. Sometimes grief distorts among other things. God Bess her anyway.

  87. Hello my name is Carla. Last night I had a dream about my dad that has been deceased for 23 years. When I seen him he was in his coffin with a light grey suit and his coffin was the same color as his suit. Blinked my eyes and I was sitting in the church waiting on them to bring my dad to the church. So I remember looking for somewhere to change my clothes for the funneral. Then ask someone in the dream did my father’s body arrived at the church they said yes. Then I woke up. So does this mean?

  88. Hey Carla, your dream sounds familiar. First, my Mother dreamed that my Dad was lying in his coffin at the wake. People were coming over to her asking what happened, for he just retired. My Mom kept telling my Dad not to retire but he did anyway. He received his first retirement check the day he was buried. Also, I kept having flashes of my Son lying in his coffin. It was making my life miserable. Then I had a large flash of my Son in the same exact suit & coffin that my Husband picked out.

  89. My dad passed back in may after complications from surgery and COPD. Prior to him passing, he would try to recall people from our past who have already passed on. Out of nowhere but just for confirmation of their names etc….. the night my dad passed we were with him and he went peacefully. Although he wasn’t religious I asked for a priest to come to ensure he was cleansed of sins and forgiven. When I left the hospital I had an overwhelming sense of peace… maybe shock, not quite sure. As my brother and I were driving home (2am) I looked up and saw or envisioned him walking up clouds, and Jesus standing on the top of them extending his hands to my dad. I knew it was my dad because of the walk. It was so clear, so unbelievably clear but for like 5 seconds and then just gone. I have not had a dream or seen my dad ( which I want desperately) since that vision but I had hummingbirds meet me at the same stop signs each day for like a week when I returned to work. Whenever I am playing the yard with my son’s there is a hummingbird in the same spot. This has gone on for 5 months. I want to see him, hear him in a dream or vision again….. but right when I’m about to lose faith the hummingbirds appear.

    • shannon

may god continue to give you reassurance as long as you need it about your dad

eventually, we have to go on with our lives, and look forward to the day in heaven when we meet them again.

  90. I took a picture and my deceased girl friend and myself was in the picture. It brought me peace and comfort but was it God it felt like it was. Confused about why im in the picture and Im not dead tho..

I know it’s wrong but that was the only piece of mind and happy point was when i was with her. She was there for me when needed comfort and now i hate myself for it cause now not seeing my wife in my bed next to me is killing me. Every night when i would go to lay next to my wife i would rub beer had while she sleeps and i would cry and say sorry babe for everything i been doing cause i knew i was wrong i just don’t know what to do now the girl i am seeing is pregnant of 9 weeks i really like the girl but i told her that i can’t bring her around until my kids and i are healed from my wife passing she understands and i will NOT consider making her lose that baby cause that is a blessing and God’s child as well i will deal with it like a man. I just want my wife to forgive me for everything i have done in the past while she was here with me cause i know i was wrong. This hurts so bad.

    • brad

I am glad to hear of your remorse over your adultery. make sure your heart is clean before God before you get more involved with this other woman. ask God for forgiveness. If you are sincere, and understand that you not only hurt your wife but God himself, then you are forgiven. remember always that your sins nailed Jesus to the cross, and every time you sin, it is like crucifying him all over again. go on with your life, after you have had time to heal from your grief

    • We do have guilt when someone dies but you have to make peace with yourself, if not you’re life will be ruined

Every worry ir care on earth no loger mattered. This was all in a vivid dream i believe god wanted to show me the beauty and the love of god and how beautiful heaven is. I truly believe he wanted me to tell people its all going to be ok no matter what it will be ok. If i could explain the beautiful feeling i felt its not euphorts rathet atotal feeling of calm a peace and total serenity. I dont know why he chose me but i am very greatful.

that is a wonderful dream. god is with you. stay close to him, we have dangers ahead. and when they arrive, remember this dream, and have peace with god

  93. I know this is an old post, but I feel the need to share.

I had a friend that passed away in the July before our junior year. She was an avid follow of Christ and inspired so many of us. While working as a camp counselor at a Christian camp she had heart troubles and ended up in the hospital that day. They told her she was healthy so she returned home for the night before returning to camp the next day. But that night she had a dream that she had died and that Jesus was there. Her mom told her to not speak like that, she wasn’t to die. The next day at camp her heart failed again, she collapsed and only that time she didn’t make it.

Close to her death I wasn’t near as close to her as we’d been growing up, but still it hurt so deeply knowing we’d grown up together since elementary school and now, this girl that was pure light in the world, was gone.
One night I remember crying myself to sleep. That night I had a dream that Jesus himself welcomed her into heaven and was telling me to stop grieving. She didn’t want any grief because she was exactly where she had wanted to be, worshiping him in heaven. I woke up the next morning feeling an overwhelming sense of relief and almost in a shock. I had never felt so at peace, but I had just lost a friend?

I have never in my life felt His presence more than then. Only then, more of her friends started sharing that they had the same exact dream that week. At that point I completely 100% believed that He and lost loved ones can return to comfort you.

  94. I too had a visit from my mother. We had been estranged for years because of my father and siblings. But, during those years, I prayed that when my mother passes that her soul would go to heaven. Well, she passed and nobody told me. I never got to say goodbye or even see her at her funeral. I was devastated when I found out at the coldness of my family members. At the time, I was writing a memoir to release all the pain my family caused me all my life. One night as I was lying in bed, I found myself sitting up abruptly not knowing why. There on the other side of the bedroom was my mother sitting in a beautiful garden looking young and fresh. The colors were flourescent. She said, “I made it and I love you.” And then she was gone. God was so kind to let my mother come and give me the assurance she was in heaven.

  95. So I had to tell you about what happened to me last night. I’ve never experienced anything like this before in my life, and I’ve had some weird things happen.
I sleep with Michaela, my 5 month old, beside me in her rock-n-play. There is a nightlight behind her so I can check on her throughout the night. She had a humidifier and noise maker going and we use a fan too, so it’s a bit noisy. We go to bed same as every night. But since my mom passed Michaela has been having dream terrors or startling herself awake, during daycare and about an hour after she falls asleep. Last night was the first night she hasn’t done that in almost 2 week. We go to bed about 10:30ish and it takes no time for me to fall asleep.I hear my name being called like 3 or 4 times and as I start to wake I realize someone is gently rubbing my right shoulder as I’m laying on my left side. As I start to open my eyes and become more aware I realize it’s my moms voice calling my name. I hear it two more times and continue to feel the rubbing on my shoulder. As my brain makes the connection with the voice and who is calling it I lean up on my left arm and I see my mom standing there. She looks amazing, her skin is blemish free, no rosacea, no psoriasis, no bruising, no sunspot, just flawless. She’s back-lit but we have no lights behind where she is standing. She has on scrubs like she always wore pale pink pants and a pink top with babies and rattles and things like that one it. Her hair is the way she always wore it but not messy just perfectly fixed. Her eyes even in the dark sparkled blue as the sky. I went mama? She smiled and nodded. She looks down at Michaela and smiles and touches her hand to her heart. I reach for her, and her hand meets mine and I can feel her like I would feel anyone else standing in that spot. I look around the room and expect to look back and her not be there but she is and she still has my hand in hers rubbing the top of my hand. I notice that her hands are smooth. Mama had eczema really bad on the palms of her hands that the doctors could never find a cure for so they were always rough. She then smiles again and slowly lets my hand go and turns and walks out of the room. I jump out of bed and chase after her, and I cant find her anywhere. She was just gone. I go to the bathroom and stare into the mirror for like 10 minutes trying to wrap my head around all of this. I washed my face and went back to bed. I woke up and the first thing out of my mouth to Tim was mama visited me last night. I can still feel the sensation of her touching my skin. I mean the more I think about it, I question if I was dreaming or hallucinating but it felt so real and I was out of bed and awake. It’s just so strange, yet it was so comforting. Almost like she stopped in to say she’s watching over us and that she’s doing just fine. I feel such peace and yet question my own sanity at the same time. I mean does this stuff really happen to people? I’ve lost 3 grandparents and the most I’ve ever had was them come to me in dreams and talk to me or at least I like to think of it as them visiting me in a dream. But this was so much different. This was physical and real and so unexpected. I didn’t go to bed depressed like the night before or crying about mama or even longing for her. So this is all just so much to take in. I know if I mentioned this to my uncle he would tell me I’m nuts that there’s no such thing as ghosts, though I’m not saying that’s what this was because from my understanding you cannot touch a ghost. He’d give me the speech “there’s no such things as ghosts, only the Holy Ghost” etc. So I’m so conflicted because I know what happened but I cant explain it, it’s not rational.

Anyways, that’s my story. Weird but true.

  97. Yes, I believe it can happen. It is up to the Lord. Maybe he can take us to them for a while, too?

  98. I am a widower and its tough – all you can do is pray to the Lord Jesus to take away the pain – and get involved in church activities like helping others , bible study and prayer – try and join as many study groups as possible .

Submit to Jesus and He will remove the pain and give you strength to stand it . Your beatitude is especially 1 and 2 Jesus promises to comfort you .

    THE EIGHT BEATITUDES OF JESUS

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

    Blessed are they who mourn,
    for they shall be comforted.

    Blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    for they shall be satisfied.

    Blessed are the merciful,
    for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure of heart,
    for they shall see God.

    Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called children of God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

    Gospel of St. Matthew 5:3-10

  99. My son has been having dreams and after he wakes up…..He still sees his dead great aunt. He has had four or five of them where he can’t sleep or he will have them at school.he will not be able to talk and he will look around…..like there is a presence here. So. I feel it’s the devil playing tricks with his mind and presenting bad images of his aunt Josie. This stop for a while all pat a year…….I need some advice.

    • Kyong

your son is experiencing a familiar spirit who is trying to control him

      Josie is gone

this spirit is misrepresenting itself as her, to get your son’s trust

something in your son, a hurt feeling, etc, has opened the door for this further injury…maybe he misses her?

so the door has to be closed

the spirit has to be rebuked and bound and cast out of your son

I am sending you prayers for deliverance from spirits, and from soul ties

it is best, if you can, print out the prayers to say each day

see if he can pray with you….also. or get others to pray with you

I will agree with you in prayer

      • only god knows about the end of the world…we cant know when it ends…………it will not end in our life time…..

  100. With God, all things are possible. The saints in Heaven are every bit as alive as the holy angels, and if God wills, He can send either or both as messengers to Earth. Test the spirits and retain what is good.

  101. Lately my Granddaughter and I have seen a figure of someone dressed in white walking around outside our house. I’ve heard if you see someone dressed in black it is a sign of death but I have never heard anything about someone dressed in white. Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone know what it could mean?

    • teresa

has anyone you have known died lately?

when my grandmother died, that night my mom saw a white figure in the hallway, pointing at a picture. a few hours later, grandfather called and reported the death

apparently she was passing by before departing for heaven. when my mom went home for the funeral, she looked behind a picture in the hallway and found money my grandmother had left for her

  102. My daughter been murdered three weeks ago and I have problems sleeping and eating haven’t dreamed of her yet

    • dorothy

my deepest sympathies for your loss

seeing a deceased loved one is a rare thing, so it is not to be normally expected.

pray that she is with the Lord now, and also pray for your own emotional healing….

you have been through a terrible trauma, and need your strength back.

I wish you peace of mind and heart, and hope you start eating better. get some support systems around you, friends, family etc

  103. Hello i need to if i will see my mother and my son when i die my mother and son die i miss them so much kind any one tell me. You can call me 646 648 6865 im carl

  104. Thank you for sharing these 2 instances of visitations… I was visited by my grandmother’s spirit gir about a week afyer her passing. I was not a believer at the time and found it disturbing. Was it really her or was it a familiar sport that was looking for a new home?

A friend who tragically lost his son was grieving when he felt the Lord gave him a vision of his son, whole and healthy playing music in a green meadow like heaven. My friend was greatly comforted as his son had accepted Christ just weeks before passing.

I have more questions if you could dialogue w me.

    • iris

it can either be a familiar spirit or the real thing, in my opinion

remember that the spirits of moses and elijah met jesus on the mount of transfiguration, and were see by the apostles.

a familiar spirit will deceive and mislead you

a real spirit of a loved one will come with a message that is biblical, or to comfort the one who remains behind.

and visions are visions….if their content is in line with scripture, then consider them positive, unless something negative develops out of it.

you know a tree by its fruit…same with spirits

  105. My name is Mary and last night I had a very vivid dream. I was living in my old townhouse where I lived when single my mother came through front door all full of dirt and said she’s been buried for only 26 years and she was finally happy to had gotten out of her coffin.(my mother died 26 years ago from pancreatic cancer). Then my brother appeared in my living room vacuuming the carpet and I was shock to see him because he died last September. He told me not to be afraid and that he will walk with me. Then I’m headed to the kitchen and booth my grandparents were cooking (they past away back in 1990). Then my aunt comes in through back door and Saids hello to everyone (she past away in 2004). Then I went back to the living room and found two premie baby girls laying in their cradles all dressed and pink. They spoke to me and told me that it was nice to had finally met me since I aborted them back in 1980. What does this mean! Everyone who came to visit me had died years ago! Someone please help me!

    • mary

that is quite unusual to dream of everyone you have ever known, esp all in one dream

the visitations of dead loved one in this dream do not sound like a blessing, but an oppression or worry

it sounds like death has been on your mind since the abortion in 1980, and it has increased with each passing relative.

logically your biggest death experience will be your own, whenever that comes

I suggest you reflect and repent of the abortion, if you have not done so already…..ask god to forgive you, and give you opportunities to support life, and help others with such decisions. abortion clinics are from satan, and they lie to young women to get the money, and tissue for witch sacrifice…just because murder of babies is legal, does not make it moral

taking a pro life position in your life will remove this oppression that is on you.. get close to god, read your bible, and talk to the Lord each day

  106. My husband passed away Nov 10th of this year. 2 weeks ago i saw him in the back seat of my ca as clear as day through the rear view mirror. At the time i was speaking on my cell to my cousin. I said to her ” i think there is someone in my back seat” as i looked closer well there he was just looking out the window. I immediately told my cousin and my phone began to make noises it never has made before. 3 days later as i lay awake in bed i see for a split second from the corner of my eye a white shadow like figure then i felt the bed sink as it does when someone lies next to you. Both experiences were incredible. I sense him often. It is amazing.

  107. Not sure how a loved one looks deceased.

  108. I’m so confused about this topic.
Can you please help me to understand more clearly.
Why would we smell a certain fragrance or different odd signs that has no real explanation( a light turn on by itself, on Thanksgiving a soda pop lid hit the wall near me
while no one was on that side of me and the lid was on the table at least 20minutes, I put it there myself, or unexplained abundant butterflies when living in the desert we don’t have alot and I haven’t seen another one since someone death.
    Thank you so much❤

    • hi judy

there is something, or someone, there, and you feel its presence.

whether it is positive or negative, depends on how it manifests…..

fragrances usually indicate the holy spirit. butterflies seem to indicate the same, or another positive presence.

i had not heard of soda pop lids, so in that case, pray god’s protection and blessing over you until you are sure what that is about.

    • Hi Judy: I recently had a similar experience near to when my Son died. A plant I received when my Son was born lasted longer than he did. It’s now going on 6 years since his death from a clot in his lung from thrombosis in his leg. All of a sudden I smelled this fragrant perfume when I was in the kitchen doing dishes. I searched to see where it was coming from for days. Finally, I discovered much to my shock that the plant I received when my Son was born had flowers. It was last year in November (4 years after his death) and the flowers died the same day he died Dec. 15th. The plant went 39 years without having any type of flowers at all…..until then. Happy Valentines Day….

  109. Hi Marianne: Yes, I know it was. Every time I look at it I think back to my Son & how he teased me about it. He said “Boy Mom, you really pay a lot of attention to that plant.” I keep checking it to see if it’s growing any thing else, ha, ha. My motto now is “Pay attention & listen for the Holy Spirit”

    • I noticed a lot of people asked how could something that brought comfort and eased pain be a demon or something evil. An answer to consider is because it causes you to put your faith in something other than Jesus. If you believe you can visit with your dead loved one in dreams etc you are putting your faith in that rather than leaning on Jesus for support and comfort. If a “familiar spirit” aka demon visited you portraying himself as “an angel of light” that could be his purpose. That being said, I do believe there is a possibility God might give us little signs to let us know that our loved ones are ok. But I believe any comfort is from Him.

  110. Of course Anna, only from our Lord, because He wants us to trust in Him. Also, just because every person doesn’t have odd things happen to them, it doesn’t mean that it never happens. Each of us are different human beings who want answers to things they can’t explain. However, I wrote this in “Heaven Awaits” to tell of my experience…..to help a person understand that miracles are all around us. Love

  111. My father died as a result of a bomb fire. One week after his death
My daughter said that she was awoken my someone rub being her back. She turned her head thinking to find me rubbing her back when it was my dad her grandfather ebbing her back. She said he just smiled and then he didissapeared
I had a dream where I was.looking up at.my dad. His face was not old. He was about 40 with great posture and wearing white. Radiant white light glowed from all around his head and I said oh dad you look so good. He just smiled and I said i want to go with you.
    My dad was a Christian

    • amy

it is certainly a blessing to have such experiences with your dad.

      thank you for sharing that

    • Hi Amy: I read your story of your Father’s death, I’m very sorry for your loss. Your Daughter has no doubt felt the presence of her Grandfather when his soul came to visit her. It was real and she did not imagine it. I had the same thing happen with my Son when he died. I was showing my friend some photos I would send out in some Christmas cards when suddenly my Son was standing in front of me. He was dressed the way he was always dressed when he came home from work. However, this time he was smiling at me broadly, as if to tell me he was ok. Also, I’ve had the hair stand up on my arms and had felt a tapping on my back at different times.

  112. I lived 4500 miles away from my mom. I was lying on the couch wide awake. In front of me stood my mother, and she was holding her hands out. She said now I can tell you I love you. She was abused in world war 2, and they removed her brain. They told her she would never be able to say I love you. I got up, and called home, and she just died. It takes 2 days to go to Heaven or Hell. My mom did come to me. I always knew she loved me, but never heard it.

  113. Hi: About missing your Mom…I can relate. That was your Mother’s spirit that appeared to you the night she died. My Son appeared to me more than once & I feel his spirit around me always. Also, the same goes for my Mom & Dad , etc. numerous family members who have died. Look for signs daily in smells, songs, electrical appliances going on & off, whispers, taps & odd things in general…..you’ll know when she visits. Talk to her also.

  114. Dear friends, Ive been where some of you have and can conclusively say that they are demons masquerading.

I sincerely suggest you watch “A trip into the Supernatural” By Roger Morneau.

    God Bless

  115. Yes, I had a message from the other side. I was picking rocks in my back yard and the feeling of love came all around me. It was so strong, I stopped what I was doing and went by the fence looked up at the trees and there was a vision of my grandmother. She was wearing a beautiful white dress with small flowers her hair was done so beautiful and big grey glasses she looked as if she was in her 60. I could not hear her but I new what she was saying she was looking straight at me sobbing saying over and over I love you it lasted about 15 or 20 seconds and the vision was gone.

  116. I had a husband that was on drugs and hurting me so much that after many years of depression and not getting better from the sickness that left me in bed for hours a day. I left him and got a divorce. Being on disability was a hard thing to do. Five years later he was killed on his motorbike. I took ready bad couldn’t stop crying and with all he did to us he is still missed. Not more than 24 hours after he was killed, I woke up hearing his voice calling me he ask me if I could see and was I on my side of the bed I told him know so I rolled over and got the phone I told him it was 3:00am in the morning. He said that me where am I. I told him in hades, but there is a small group of people there that was sorry for there sins. I told him to find them tell Jesus your sorry he will forget you and in the end of time he will come back for you this is in revelation. What do I make of all this?

    • brenda

You may or may not have been talking to you ex-husband. it may have been a familiar spirit. the truly departed know where they are at, whether it is good or bad. you should not have to tell him.

also, once someone has died, it is too late to repent.

however, god is also known for his mercy and fairness. if your husband has any good in him, he may have a chance.

i suggest you pray and ask god for discernment, read the bible, and make sure you are right before god, for when it is your time to go

  117. I HOPE YOU ALL HEAR ME OUT AND MAY LET THE LORD MAKE YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM ABOUT TO SAY…

OUR LORD almighty allows the spirits in the heaven to communicate with us in the real world. Weather they are close loved ones or people you never met. God knows your life destiny before you even start to stop and wonder if you should plan something yourself. The Holy spirits are able to communicate in many difference ways. No it is not the devil deceiving you the Lord would not in any shape or form allow his People to be mocked and or impersonated.

    -QUOTE

“The moment there is an opportunity that arises or a light of possibility, God our father and creator of ALL THINGS in the universe allows peace to be.”

    -cjt

    My Testimony begins…

I was having a conversation with a specific individual named ale through cellphone text message.
While I was thinking of what to respond back to ale I nodded (dosed) into a deep vision (dream).

I didn’t know where I was. I didn’t know what I was suppose to be looking at. Suddenly there I was looking at two individuals.
Let me say this, I can’t tell who those individuals are, all I can see is a Female body figure and A Male body figure.

I heard something a soft gentle female voice clear as day. It was the voice of the woman standing beside me but just close enough to the male infront of her that was near a deserted Cliff.

I hear her saying “take my hands”
Suddenly I woke up, I woke up to reality back to the place where I was conscious just a couple of seconds before I was struck by lighting
    (not literally)

I questioned myself, who were those individuals!? I said to myself” there must be an explaination as to why my Lord you Lord are allowing me to see these moments in a desert with the sun shining right above the mans head, Along with the white puffy clouds moving slowly above us. I was truly concerned due to the fact that the female had brown light hair like my mothers. I wondered, does this have anything to do with my mother? I was worried so I blocked that vision out of my head throughout the day. I didn’t think about it until later that night.

I arrived at ale’s apartment like we had planned later that evening.
Shockingly The information that I received by ale was regarding a close friend of his that passed away recently this month. Ale was devistated that the body of his friend was found (Diseased)
He respectfully spoke about his close friend “TRIPPY” is the name that he was best known by.

After I left ales home I decided to revisit an old friend of mine named Fonso.
Fonso was last seen around the month of April. Before I left for vacation to California. When I arrived I did not visit him. I went to his home twice that same day 6/15/2017 I visited ale. The first time I knocked Fonso was not home, so I left to ale’s. After I left ale’s is when I decided to go to Fonso’s one last time. I was actually starting to think that he moved homes until someone answered the door.
    It was Fonso!
I was so happy to see him. It was a long time comming.
Fonso’s really good friend was there. I had seen him a couple of times when I used to hang out with Fonso but I really never had a conversation with the guy. Joe is his name or at least the name that he goes by. I’m not sure how the conversation came up but it was revealed that Trippy and Joe were also really good friends. I informed Joe that I just met up with Ale and we spoke about Trippy too. Joe does not know ale and ale does not know joe. Here is a brain twister Joe informed me that he and Trippy were closer than I can imagine. They treated eachother with respect and always had eachother back no matter what. Joe read me a couple of the last messages that Trippy sent to him before passing.

Joe looked devistated and depressed of course due to the passing. I was informed by my good friend Fonso before I had left to California that joe’s sister had passed away. I knew that joe was sad due to the fact that his little sister had passed before I left for a couple months. Now he had to face the cold fact that his good friend Trippy had recently passed away as well. It was shocking to hear that he lost two loving individuals to unusual incidents, as he described.

I was in complete shock at the fact that people around him that he cares for are suddenly passing with no remorseful explanation of how and HOW? To my surprise Joe out of the blue crys out ” Trippy was my very good friend, but he was also my sisters Ex Boyfriend.

“WOW I said that is Insane”
I pieced all the information that was given to me by these two guys including the vision (dream) that I saw I few hours before visiting my friends.

The way that they came across was interesting either way I did not know them, they did not know me, I never saw them and they never saw me but yet they took a chance with me and believed, they believed that I could piece the puzzle together and make someone’s life like joes a little less stressful, To give this messege to someone that I hardly know come on I only ever did say Hi and bye to the guy joe. As soon as I told him who I saw in my vision there was this reliefe as if a ton of bricks fell off my shoulders.

Remember Me and Ale had no intention of planning to meet that day? And I was not expecting Joe to be at Fonso’s house when I arrived or that Fonso was still living there. God was guiding me and so were the spirits. There they both were in my vision Pleading to pass this message on to Joe.
As soon as I got all the information That was needed for me to connect the dots the fact that God allowed them to come through a door a( opportunity) both spirits entered and showed what I saw so that Joe could be a peace as well as they are just in different form.

Forgive those who you cannot forgive.
Allow the people that you come across everyday be aware that yes we will al meet one day, up High past the thin layers of clouds that form as the earth rotates.
One day the person who you knew in the real world , no matter who you met whoever passes first will be there, waiting for you in heaven with open arms. To show you around and to greet you to the unknown of what we call Heaven inside the Golden gates where we will face judgment day.

Please from now on until forever always remember ALL THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON. GOD KNOWS THAT REASON BECAUSE HE IS PERFECT. He made our life’s perfect. Some times were just left with nothing but to face the music.

Amen! Amen! Amen! May you all be blessed and may he rein forever eternity!

thank you for sharing. I am glad joe got some comfort from you

    • That was beautiful, the way you described that. I too believe that everything you said is true. Only people who have never experienced visits, etc from our Beloved Holy Spirit want to put the whole thing down like it’s nonsense. Then there are even some that say it’s the evil one, how stupid.

  118. Hi. I had an experience with my mom. She suffered with dementia for a few years prior to her death and was left helpless, unable to walk or talk at the end. She was very scared of death, although she was a Christian, because she did not want to leave us and her prognosis was horrible and she was getting sepsis. The pain was supposed to be unbearable and she was not able to even complain. A few days after her death, I was awoken at 1am by her singing “I’ll Fly Away” in my ear. It woke me up and I just listened in awe. It was absolutely beautiful and positively JOYFUL which was surprising . She could not sing a note to my recollection in her life but it definitely was her voice, and perfect. My pastor stated rightfully that the dead do not visit (I do not believe in ghosts either)but I DO think there is a window to say goodbye. My reasoning is biblical. Jesus said a house divided cannot stand. No self respecting demon would sing a Christian song joyfully about going to Heaven. Jesus visited after His death and so do others if there is a need. My mom wanted me to know she was not scared and that she was indeed joyful. ANother significance to the time of the visitation is this, God gave her a Word to give me at 1pm years prior that I received at 1pm also(in the same day), and it was confirmation of a promise He was giving me. Mom and God and I knew the significance of the time.God is good.

thank you for sharing that experience. I agree that the love of God may allow a window of time for goodbyes. it allows for healing and a resolution of issues or unanswered questions.

      • I totally agree. I wrote my pastor last night and upon seeing my testimony, she agreed with you and I, that God gave me a sort of vision…in my case through hearing. I have so many miracles in my life. God is so giving.

  119. For years I grieved the death of a girl who I was distantly related to. However one Saturday about a year ago I felt like I spent the day with her in a spiritual way. We seemed to talk all day long. One thing she said quite a few times was “Please don’t grieve my death anymore if you don’t mind.”. I said I wouldn’t and she reminded me of this quite a few times. I told her “The main reason I do is because we only saw each other about five times while you were alive.”. She said “Yeah I am sorry we didn’t get to know eachother better.” One thing I asked her was “What was your favorite food when you were alive?”. She said Pizza. Therefore I had pizza for lunch on this day. I never saw her in bodily form on this day but only heard her through communication. On the following day I was getting ready to go to work and got a little upset and teary eyed about her death. After just a few seconds of this an image of a girl appeared and walked toward me yelling “Uh I thought you weren’t going to grieve my death anymore!”. I was speechless. Amazingly she looked exactly like I remembered her the last time I saw her alive in 1982 I think. I mean same hair color and about the same length. Another thing she said was “No wonder you don’t have any friends. You can’t even keep promises you make! Oh and another thing I’m glad I did not get to know you very well when I was alive.”. After that she yelled “Can you please do me a favor and not grieve my death anymore!”. I said “O.k.”. Then she disappeared. A few minutes later God said “She was right you should not let someones death hold you down in life like you do.”. I have since this incident stopped grieving her death as much as I used to but occasionally find myself doing so again and am under personal conviction each time. God also said “She didn’t mean to sound so mean but you are holding yourself back by grieving her death.”. A few days later I think she might have also said that she didn’t mean to sound hateful and apologized and I did the same for possibly making her return to earth to have the conversation when she belongs in heaven now.

I cannot determine from the description if the girl who appeared to you was a familiar spirit or the girl you knew. So just keep in mind this could be a deception.

But for now, I will assume it was her, and pray that you will heed her request to stop grieving.

Assuming she is in heaven now, understand she is full of joy and happiness, and so you should be happy for her.

I agree you should heal from the grieving process and move on with your life. If you are saved, you will see her again in heaven when you also die.

  120. When Ibwas 7 yrs old I saw my great grandmother and she spoke to me asking me “where was I going?”, I told her ” to the bathroom”, she said ” you hurry up and get back here”, I said ok and rushed too the bathroom. Later that day I told My Mom about it and she said ” how could you have saw her when she died when you was 2 yrs old?”. I said I don’t know, but I saw her. Now I’m in my 40’s and I’m curios as too how did I see and talk to her while I was awake.

there are two sources of visions like this: the real spirit of the person, and a familiar spirit. I am not sure which it is for you. but it was an interesting experience for you.
