Where Eagles Gather

clip_image002

Another look at where people will be taken.

34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

*** body = “soma” = either a dead or living body

Luke 17: 34-37

Notes:

This happens at night  (v34)

The body is either alive or dead when taken

The body is taken to where the eagles gather

Since eagles are said to never or seldom go in quest of carrion ( dead bodies), this may refer to a vulture which resembles an eagle.

Eagles gather in high rocky places.

2 possible meanings to this passage

1. A dead body is taken as carrion to the high rocky places where vultures gather.

2. An alive body, or maybe dead, is taken “on wings of eagles” to a high place of safety ( rapture or physical location)

New option 3

The vultures are not birds, but conquering people who take the “tares” away into captivity

24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. Luke 21:24

clip_image006

This is not necessarily restricted to Israel, as it follows the abomination and the fall of Jerusalem, and the command to flee to the mountains.

So those that do not flee will end up in captivity. This happened in 70 AD.

But history is due to repeat itself, as vultures are ready again to pounce on Israel, and anywhere else the Jews and believers live.

In this case, the eagles/ vultures gather back at their nests, locally, or in their home countries, taking their prey with them.

And the true Bride will escape into the wilderness.

image

Detention camps, USA

The scenario for other Western countries may be slightly different, but in America, it is possible that the tares in America will be taken away in captivity to labor camps in China or Russia, or to FEMA camps in the USA, operated by the UN.

image

If this is the case, then the tares in this country, and other countries, will suffer greatly, unless they repent.

There are actually 3 groups to be judged in the end times:

1. the tares, or false believers

2. the wheat, or true believers, or Bride of Christ

3. the wicked

The tares will be taken first in judgment and tribulation (Seals 1-6). The tribulation is caused by the wicked.

Then the wheat will be hidden in the wilderness during the time of trouble, and removed in rapture, which appears to be at the 6th seal.

Then the wicked will be destroyed during the trumpets and vials, during the Wrath of God.

clip_image007

Final thoughts

Which group are you in?

Unless God can see you as the True Bride of Christ, you are going to suffer.

Unless you have clean hands and a pure heart, you will be removed and destroyed.

God is not mocked.

We cannot expect Him to be as lenient as the current godless culture is, which declares good evil, and evil good.

Repent of your sins while there is still time.

We have to call upon the Lord while He is still near.

Someday soon, He will withdraw His presence, as His wrath descends upon mankind.

Then there will be no more chances. You missed it.

image

I pray you will take this message seriously, and get your life in order with God, and accept the Savior, Jesus / YahShua/ that He sent to pay for your sins.

You cannot pay for your own.

Only the blood of the Lamb of God is acceptable for forgiveness.

Your works count as nothing without the salvation offered by Jesus.

  1. […] here for […]

    • Way to go girl step it up a notch; there is not much time left they all need to here the word of God without fear there is no understanding, is it not the beginning of wisdom?

    • Lk.17:37 is also tied to Mt.24:28 where it uses the word carcase; STRONGS NT 4430: πτῶμα

      πτῶμα, πτώματος, τό (πίπτω, perfect πέπτωκα);
      1. in Greek writings from Aeschylus down, a fall, downfall; metaphorically, a failure, defeat, calamity; an error lapse, sin.

      2. that which is fallen; hence, with the genitive of a person or with νεκροῦ added, the (fallen) body of one dead or slain, a corpse, carcase; later also with νεκροῦ omitted (Polybius, the Sept., Philo, Joseph, Plutarch, Herodian), cf. Thomas Magister, p. 765 (edited by Ritschl, p. 290, 14); Phryn. ed. Lob., p. 375; (Winer’s Grammar, 23), and so in the N. T.: Matthew 14:12 L T Tr WH; Mark 15:45 L T Tr WH; Matthew 24:28; τίνος, Mark 6:29; Revelation 11:8, 9. In the Bible it says they will be buring dead bodies for months; we the church ar to be gathered first; this is talked about by Peter; 1 Pt.4:17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

There is only one church Jesus did not rebuke in Rev.2 & chap. 3; it was the church of Philidelphia; where He tells them that they will be taken before the great or temptation (I Think the Great and terrible day or part of the tribulations; did not even Israel go through the first three plagues before there was seperation? I thing we too must at least be offered the mark of the beast before we can be taken!) but for our brotherly love and the love of our Great God who became flesh; when we do these things to the least of these we do htem unto God our Jesus Christ too because He became flesh and our brother: Rev.3:10Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

11Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

12Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Jesus said we will have tribulations in this worldl Jn.16:33; we must have a test before we can have a testamony as well as tribulation before we too can be overcomers of the world!; We will see triibulations but He will take His elect before the tribulations can be more than we can bear by the power of His Grace which is His word to us: Ac.20:24But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. In that God cannot lie, Tit.1:1-2 and Heb.6:17-20 because we have entered into that which is behind the vail which is His word His grace: Ac.20:32And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

Which is able to keep us through anything we are about to undertake or that this world that lies in wickedness; 1 Jn.5:19 can dish out to His chosen children because Jesus is our one and true God; as seen in verse: 20And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ: This is the true God, and eternal life.
      Rev. G. L. Boyett

      • Greetings garylordsway,

        Re:
“There is only one church Jesus did not rebuke in Rev.2 & chap. 3; it was the church of Philadelphia;”

There are actually two churches that Jesus did not rebuke, which were Smyrna and Philadelphia. The rebukes were not only for the churches of that time, but are of course for all individual believers, in all churches through the entire church period, which we are still in.

Also, as I have posted in the past, though the other churches had rebukes against them, the promises that Jesus made to those who overcome are also to be applied to those he rebuked if they overcome and it is not just for Smyrna and Philadelphia only. Whatever promises where made to the overcomer in one church, are also to be applied to each and every other individual who overcomes within any of the churches.

        Re:
“I think we too must at least be offered the mark of the beast before we can be taken!)”

The “hour of trial” is a different designation for the “day of the Lord,” which is neither a day nor an hour long, but is that period of time when God will be pouring out his wrath upon the earth in the form of the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments. Those overcoming believers will be removed well before that mark of the beast becomes manditory and that because the seals and trumpets will have already been well underway.

It is important to understand the difference between the tribulation that Jesus said that we believers would have in the world, opposed to the wrath of God. The tribulation that we are to suffer comes at the hands of the world with the powers of darkness orchestrating in the spiritual realm, where the wrath of God is just that, God’s wrath. That being said, Scripture states that believers are not appointed to suffer God’s wrath (1 Thes.5:9) and that is exactly what the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments are called (Rev.6:17, 11:18, 14:7, 15:1, 16:11).

Furthermore, God’s wrath that is coming can be compared to the actions of parents, where they will continue to verbally warn their children and when they fail to listen to the verbal, then comes the physical, more forceful warning. This is what the seals, trumpets and bowls are about. And for those who fail to repent in the midst of these judgments through the end, then their wrath is deserved. This is another reason why true believers will not be exposed to God’s wrath during that time and that because we will have already received Christ and repented having faith and he therefore will keep us “From” (out of) that hour of trial. Therefore, God is not going to send us through his wrath when we have already done what he requires. In short, it would make no sense for God to pour out his wrath upon believers in order to get them to do what they will have already done.

The 1st seal rider on the white horse is a counterfeit of the rider on the white horse seen in Rev.19:11-21. The 1st seal rider is that antichrist who goes out to conquer and is bent on conquest (See 13:7), where the rider of the white horse in 19:11 is none other than the Lord Jesus returning to the earth to end the age and set up his millennial kingdom and we are the ones following behind him also riding white horses and wearing fine linen, bright and clean (Rev.17:14, 19:7-8,14).

Another clue that God has left us showing that we will not be here for the seals, trumpets and bowls is that the word “Ekklesia” translated “Church” is the only word used to identify believers from chapter 1 through the end of chapter 3 and after that you will never see the word Church used again. After that, beginning from Rev.5:8, the word used to describe a believer is the word “Hagios” translated “Saints.” The use of the word saint is referring to that new group that is introduced by one of the elders in 7:9-17. The elder says, “who are these arrayed in white robes and where did they come from?” John didn’t recognize them and said, “Sir, you know.” And the elder said, “These are those who have come out of the great tribulation.” This group is not the church, but a different group that become believers during that last seven years. Not once is the word “Church” used throughout the events of the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments. The next time we see the word church used, is in Rev.22:16, which is outside of the narrative of those events.

We the church, the overcomers, the true believers, will never see that antichrist, the man of lawlessness, but we will be removed and gathered to the Lord before that 1st seal is opened.

        Sincerely,

        Yours in Christ

  2. The new agers claim of their rapture by UFO. To save the people. Vulture relate to eagles. Jesus used birds that stole the seed [word]. Also the serpent who eats the dust of the earth. That man was made from dust. I believe I will stick to God plan according to scripture. The Greater Exodus message from lionlamb.net sample teachings.

  3. Marianne,

Where the eagles gather. This video presentation adds background information and some additional insights on your “New option 3”.

The “powers of darkness” are fully operational. But, “God once said, ‘Let light shine out of the darkness!’ And this is the same God who made his light shine in our hearts to let us know that his own divine greatness is seen in the face of Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:6).

    • yep

better stay on the side of light….!

      • Is there an article about the seals and verbal statements or calling yourself the name or writing ‘the LORD’s’ on your hand that is in Isaiah 44:5. I write the LORDS on my hand frequently to be owned by GOD! It can also remind you of your allegiance. I also say I belong to the LORD, frequently. Would love to see an article about God

        • phyllis

I am not sure what you are looking for

          regarding seals,

And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. Rev 9:4

God seals those who belong to him.

    • I’ve seen this. Most will not wake up

  4. I live in a high rocky area in the mountains and I’ve seen those vultures up close. They are always eating dead carrion on the road.

I think it’s number 1 “1. A dead body is taken as carrion to the high rocky places where vultures gather”

    And

    what you wrote here:

“The vultures are not birds, but conquering people who take the “tares” away into captivity

24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. Luke 21:24

It’s gonna be bad for the tares….time to get on the side of the Most High and do what He says.. He means business.

  5. Proverbs 10:30 The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.

Psalm 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

Psalm 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

Psalm 125:1 They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

Psalm 132:14 This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

John 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

    • Suess,

      Amen!

I’ll add this one from Malachi:

“‘For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up’, says the Lord of hosts, ‘That will leave them neither root nor branch.

But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this’, Says the Lord of hosts” (Malachi 4:1-3 NKJV).

      • Mal.3:16Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

17And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

18Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

  6. Good article M, and at an appropriate time.
2014 I believe will be a troubling year for mankind and especially believers.
The world system is against believers. I read where the West is not interested in the Christian refugees of the Middle East, they are only allowing the Muslim refugees to emigrate.
We have Kerry/Obama and the EU forcing Israel to vacate large areas Of Israeli land and give this land to the Palestinians while also allowing mass immigration of Muslims into this land.
Jerusalem is the prize, the UN/Obama want to make it an “international” city ruled by “the Pope and Rome”.
The archangel Micheal stands over Jerusalem (Daniel 12:1), so as the world goes against Israel so God will go against the world.
Huge periods of testing will come upon the believers, they will need a deep faith for the coming trials and tribulations.

    God bless the Biblical discerners.

    • We should all know how the Lord looks at a shame also; today everyone calls something that nots so bad a shame but all sin is a shame to God: see Dan.12: vesre 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. being a shame is a bid deal in His eyes!

  7. Marianne and all,

    When Jesus said:

“I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.”

    “Where, Lord?” they asked.

He replied, “Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather.”

Where there is a dead body:

“The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.” (Rev.19:21)

    There the Vultures will gather:

“And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, great and small.”

At the time when the Lord is returning to the earth to end the age and begin his millennial kingdom, he first has the beast and the false prophet captured and thrown alive into the lake of fire (Rev.19:20) and then those kings, generals, their armies, the mighty men, the horses and their riders, including the “Ones Taken” by the angels (weeds), are killed by that double-edged sword that comes out of the Lord’s mouth, which is symbolic for the word of God. Then all of the birds (vultures) that will have been gathered together gorge themselves on their flesh.

This event is directly related to the parablle in Mt.13:24-30 regarding the end of the age when the harvesters (angels) are sent out where they [first] collect the weeds, which are the “Ones Taken” mentioned in Mt. 24:36-41 and Luke 17:37.

This event has nothing to do with the catching away (rapture), but has to do with the end of the age and the angels going thoughout the earth to gather the weeds to take them back to Armegeddon where those birds will have been gathered together by the angel and where they will all be killed by that double-edged sword. Their souls go into Hades and the birds gorge themselves on their flesh.

  8. Parables and proverbs of Jesus, at times had spiritual irony engraved in their telling. In this case for instance, Jesus was narrating of one person being taken and another being left. The audience however asked an open question, where to, which for them may have been of those who were being taken, but Jesus opted to answer of the destiny of those who were to be left. For to the spiritual, being taken was the goal, as the example narrated of Lot, or even of Noah. They two had been taken into the protection of the Lord, and the others had been left. The fate of those being left is thus the subject of the response of Jesus, which is stressed again in Mathew, as wheresoever the carcass is, thither will the eagles be gathered.
This then is the riddle that requires to be solved. The eagle is the king of the air, and the air is the essence that is fluid and intangible, thus representative of the world of spirits. The dark spirits thus are the reference of the eagles, and all other birds of the air. The carcass is the body of Christ that has failed to live. It is all the temples of the holy-spirit that have ceased to serve their function, have forfeited the way of the tree of life, and have thus spiritually died. All these bodies, the false Christians and all the world that live not according to the dictates of life eternal wheresoever they shall be are a carcass and feed for the demonic spirits, who will possess them and use them as they will according to all the manifestations of darkness and evil.
We are sadly living within that awful and terrible era, when demons once again reign over the affairs of the earth, because the humans have largely and generally forfeited their purpose and have partaken of the forbidden fruit. If so then, it behooves that the spiritually alive have been taken into the protection of the Lord of hosts, though they be living yet in the same world with the spiritually dead. The final deliverance of the saints is the day of annihilation, but before it shall come to pass, the feast of the Lord to all the carrion birds of the sky, aka the demonic entities precedes for a certain duration.
That is my understanding of this riddle.

Glad Marianne that you are up and about. Glory be to God for all the victories in your life.

    • This is the reason the Lord made this planet anyways; it was for the preperation of the cleansing with fire and the New Age of the new heavens and new earth the Jerusalem coming down from the heavens; all and everything that is not of the LORD will be as seen in Eze.21:31And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy.

32Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the LORD have spoken it.

When the Lord takes us out of the way there will be none to stand in the gap:

Eze.22: 30And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

31Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.
then Peter’s last chapter kicks in 2 Pt.3:1-18 pertaining to end time things but untill that time we are to grow in the knowledge of Him who we worship!

18But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

  9. […] Where Eagles Gather. […]

  10. The Jews that killed Jesus and would not except HIS salvation. Are the vultures. Vultures will eat anything dead no matter how long its been their where a Eagle always looking for a fresh kill.

2 possible meanings to this passage

    1. A dead body is taken as carrion to the high rocky places where vultures gather.
    2. An alive body, or maybe dead, is taken “on wings of eagles” to a high place of safety ( rapture or physical location)

The 2nd. is closer. In AD. 70 – when the Real believers saw the Armies of Rome surrounding them. They took their flight out of Jerusalem. And escaped torture, famine, and many different kinds of death and torment.
These believed what Jesus told them to do and they did it. They were the chosen vessels that God called.

It is very interesting to hear “Futurist” talk about the “Abomination of desolation” and never think it was Jerusalem and the Temple. Jesus told his disciples very, very plainly that “their” generation would see it. It’s literally the truth. Jesus say “YE” will see the Temple destroyed and not a stone on top of another in THIS Generation. That was Jesus talking to His generation.

    Lighthouse

  11. Hello all,

    Lighthouse said:
“It is very interesting to hear “Futurist” talk about the “Abomination of desolation” and never think it was Jerusalem and the Temple. Jesus told his disciples very, very plainly that “their” generation would see it. It’s literally the truth. Jesus say “YE” will see the Temple destroyed and not a stone on top of another in THIS Generation. That was Jesus talking to His generation.”

Lighthouse, the reason why we speak of this as a future event is because it simply hasn’t happened yet. Jesus quoted Scripture from Daniel regarding the abomination that would cause the desolation as a future event. From the time that Jesus quoted this to the time of the destruction of the temple in 70 AD, there was no fulfillment of this event. The following are the Scriptures from both Daniel and Jesus regarding the abomination of desolation:

“He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.” (Dan.9:27)

“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel–let the reader understand–then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” (Mt.24:15)

So, it was a future event from the time that Daniel prophesied it and it was still a future event from when Jesus quoted Daniel. For he said, “When you see the abomination,” meaning that it had not yet taken place. Also, that ruler, that man of lawlessness, who establishes that one ‘seven’ or that seven year covenant is also unfulfilled. Anyone who claims that this man of lawlessness has already been revealed and has set up the abomination of desolation would have to explain why Jesus is not here and that because Scripture shows that 3 1/2 years after the abomination has been set up, Jesus returns to end the age and establish his millennial kingdom and since this has obviously not yet happened, then we have no fulfillment.

Regarding this last seven years, the angel told Daniel that seventy ‘sevens’, that is, seventy sets of seven year periods are decreed upon your people.

Seven ‘sevens’ (49 years) to restore and rebuild Jerusalem, then from the end of the seven ‘sevens’ add on sixty-two ‘sevens’ (434 years) equaling sixty-nine ‘sevens, where the Anointed One would be cut off (Christ crucified). Out of the total seventy ‘sevens’ sixty-nine ‘sevens’ have been fulfilled. At that time, God delayed that last ‘seven’ and began to build his church which is still in progress. Once the church has been completed, then God will take up where he left off with the Nation Israel and start the clock ticking for that last ‘seven’ which will begin when that man of lawlessness establishes his covenant for one ‘seven’. 3 1/2 years after that he will set up that abomination in the holy place and the desolation of Jerusalem will take place where they will be cared for out in the desert for a time, times and a half a time, that is, 3 1/2 years. At the end of that 3 1/2 years Jesus will return to end the age and establish his millennial kingdom.

So, that one ‘seven or last seven years, is directly tied into the return of the Lord to end the age and begins his thousand year reign. Simply put, anyone who claims that the abomination has already taken place, would have to show the return of the Lord 3 1/2 years after that event takes place and needless to say, we have not yet seen the Lord.

  12. IMPORTANT INFO*** my dear friends eagles do do do drink up freshly slain blood, again in Jesus’s country and all of Africa’s northern part eagles do do gather at a fresh kill to drink blood only fresh blood they love it. In the past after a war this was the way best to see this happen, because no other animals had just made the kill and the eagles where safe to land and drink, they liked the easy pickings of fresh war kill.
