Fishers and Hunters

When gentle tactics do not work, more severe measures are used.

13 Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; where I will not shew you favor.

14 Therefore, behold, the days come, says the Lord, that it shall no more be said, The Lord lives, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

15 But, The Lord lives, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.

16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, says the Lord, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

Jeremiah 16: 13-16

The nation of Israel would be driven out of the land into unknown territory, and forced into servitude.

Then, when it was time, God would re-gather his people and bring them home.

First, he would use those who were fishers, who used the “bait” of freedom and a new land to inhabit, along with many incentives to relocate.

Then, whoever did not respond to that invitation, would be hunted down by enemies, and forced to move, or choose to stay and die.

Jews were in exile out of Israel for first 70 years, in Babylon, and then again later after 70 AD, where they were driven to the nations until 1948.

Either through gentle means, or means of terror, they were brought back into the land.

This prophecy was fulfilled twice, and it will happen one more time, as half the Jews still choose to remain in the exile / diaspora.

The next time, as before, they will either go back to Israel, or die where they are at, mostly persecuted, also as before.

There is something about the psychology of the people, or any people, that causes them to go into denial, that things are very wrong where they are, and they need to leave.

Denial gets them killed, because they lack to wisdom to flee the circumstances in time.

They do not respond to the almost daily invitations from Israel to come home.

Those extending the invitation are the fishers.

They offer jobs and land, and a place to be safe from harm.

But this does not work well, as Jews are still comfortable where they are.

It takes the terror aspect to wake them up, and get them to move out of danger.

We see this now, in some European countries, where Muslims are terrorizing the Jews, and forcing them to get out or die.

Lesson for us all

One of the amazing things God did was use the nation of Israel to demonstrate the human condition:

The cycle of faith, then failings, the sin , the rebellion, and then the repentance, just to start over again.

We are all in danger now.

Will we go into denial, or move to a place of safety?

For some, this is a physical move.

For others, it is a spiritual one.

For all of us, the danger signs are there, and the message is to draw close to GOD or perish.

Unless we are under the protection of God, we will not make it.

When God gently sends messengers ( fishers of men) to us, will we respond, and heed the call?

Or will we wait until the hunters come, and we either have to flee in panic, or we are trapped and get killed?

History repeats itself.

The question is , will we learn from history, and respond to the fishers, and not get snared by the hunters?

The time to decide is now.

For many, tomorrow will not come.

God is calling you.

Say “yes,” and come.

  1. […] here for […]

  2. For those who are not Jews, would that not be the time that one accepts and honors Christ as Lord and Savior and from that day forward forever be in servitude of God, and perhaps be the fishers themselves? Bringing others to Christ?

  3. The map is not that accurate as there were Jewish colonies in Spain at least during Solomon’s Kingdom. Actually I should say Israelite or Hebrews (ibrit/ hebreo) as per the name of the ancient inhabitants of Iberia and rivers like the Ebro. Also there were Israelites in Ireland, Scottland and England as well as China, Japan and India.
When the large ingathering comes the angels of Yah will lift us up and take us home to the tree of life awaiting in The Promised land/Jerusalem/ Eden.

  4. Judaism is Judaism, Islam is Islam, Christianity is Christianity. They are FUNDAMENTALLY different belief systems. Why are you trying to unify them or convert their followers?

  5. I realise that you do not Know who I am but my mane is not Steve it is Michael. I will tell you this there are only 4 sins Aggression, narcissisism, judgement and self importance. I will forgive you narcissism but to the IDF and ISIS I will not forgive aggression or self importance. Those who are wrong in their beliefs are wrong, there is no shame in that. You have been warned.

Netanyahu encourages Jews to flee Europe

The gunman in the recent terror attacks in Denmark appears to have targeted a Copenhagen synagogue simply because there were Jews there.

Just like after the terror attacks last month in France – once of which was on a Kosher grocery store — Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took the occasion to encourage Europe’s Jews to leave.

“Again, Jews were murdered on European soil just because they were Jews,” Netanyahu said at the start of his Cabinet meeting Sunday. “This wave of attacks is expected to continue, as well as murderous anti-Semitic attacks. Jews deserve security in every country, but we say to our Jewish brothers and sisters, Israel is your home.”

The Israeli Cabinet approved a $46 million plan Sunday to encourage Jewish immigration from France, Belgium and Ukraine, countries where large numbers of Jews have expressed interest in moving to Israel.

The plan aims to bring about a “significant increase” in the number of immigrants by boosting Hebrew studies, holding immigration fairs, and posting more immigration officials in those countries, according to a government statement.

Anti-Semitism in Europe has been on the rise in recent years, with a noticeable spike coming after the Israel-Hamas war last year in the Gaza Strip. (c: Don’t blame this on that. Even stating that here is anti-Semitic as anti-Israel is the new anti-Semitism. Where is the outcry regarding Assad and the Syrian civil war’s 200,000+ dead? What was Israel supposed to do as hundreds of rockets launched by Hamas were falling on their civilians? The world could have stopped this with a unified outcry and stopping all funding to Hamas, but instead they sat silent as the rockets rained down. Blaming this rising Jew hatred on Israel coming against the terrorist Hamas organization is a shameful excuse. It is propaganda. The world has gone mad as it did in the 1930’s but this time around Christians are in the sites of the enemy along with the Jews as martyrs are falling across the Middle East, Africa, and no one is doing much of anything. Proverbs 24:11-12)

Despite the growing anxiety in many of Europe’s Jewish communities surrounding the wave of terror attacks and plots in Europe, Rabbi Jair Melchior, Denmark’s chief rabbi, said he was “disappointed” by Netanyahu’s call for immigration following the attack

“People from Denmark move to Israel because they love Israel, because of Zionism. But not because of terrorism,” said Melchior. “If the way we deal with terror is to run somewhere else, we should all run to a deserted island.” (c: ??? Israel came out of the ashes of the Holocaust and Jew-hatred is rising again… in Europe where the Holocaust happened.)

There are an estimated 6,000 to 7,000 Jews in Denmark, including about 2,000 active members of the Jewish community, which operates its own security patrol that coordinates with police to protect Jewish institutions.

Moshe Kantor, the leader of the Brussels-based (c: home of the European Union) European Jewish Congress, told Bloomberg News that European governments aren’t doing enough to protect their Jewish communities against militants, but he stopped well short of endorsing Netanyahu’s call to flee. (c: Bibi is doing the right thing, like Herzl, as a prophetic call is coming now while there is safety in travel)

After last month’s terror attacks in France, when Netanyahu issued a similar call to France’s Jews, Kantor said: “The European Jewry is the oldest European minority and we have our experience of surviving under all possible circumstances. We will not give up our motherland, which is called Europe. We will not stop the history of European Jewry, that is for sure.” (c: this is so reminiscent of the time before WWII and Hitler’s holocaust. As the warning began to come to the Jews of Europe, they answered, ‘We’re Germans! We’re Poles! We’re Hungarians!’ But to the evil horde they were JEWS. May they hear this prophetic cry now and come home, in Yehoshua’s Name.)

    • Marianne – My heart just bleeds for all that is going on the world today, I have no words that can comfort for such slaughter that is occurring around the globe. And now these 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians have all been beheaded at one fell slaughter in Libya.

I hate that everyone looks to the USA to lead some coalition, but, maybe, that is our destiny. Meanwhile Christians, Jews, and any others who do not pledge allegiance to this radical group are persecuted, hunted down, and slaughtered across the middle east and Africa.

It is a sickness that is spread in the mind. The man who persecuted the two Jewish gatherings in Denmark had no known radical Islamic ties, no known travel to Syria or other regions, he was only known to facilitate with local gangs.

Everyone should go home. Go home to our families, our communities, and our roots, wherever they may be. It is only going to get worse.
