Light Has No Shadow

Think about it!

–

If we are existing only in the physical and material world, walking in the flesh, then we will cast a shadow on others.

But, if we have transcended to the spiritual, and walk in the Spirit of God, we will not cast a shadow, ….

Instead, we will inspire others.

This is an ideal concept.

–

While we are in the physical body, we are bound to some extent by its needs.

We need to eat and sleep, for example.

But there is moderation and excess.

When we are moderate, and align ourselves with God’s will and Word, then we are a light to others.

When we fall into excess, then we over burden ourselves WITH ourselves, not focusing on the Word and presence of God, then we further burden others with our own burdens.

If we let our emotions rule, rather than allowing the Spirit to rule our emotions, then we force these emotions on others, and weight them down with our “self.” Now, they have to deal with our emotions as well.

If we walk in the Spirit, then we share our yoke with the Lord, who considers it no weight at all, so our burden is light, then the burden is not imposed on others.

Anger, appetite, lust, jealousy, fear, unbelief, worry, greed, etc. are burdens.

These burdens of the flesh are shadows on the spirit of others.

–

It is a challenge to stay in the physical world, and still be in balance with the spiritual world.

Fasting, prayer, bible reading – all help us to focus more on the spiritual.

In time, we will feel lighter, without burdens so heavy, and we will be able to share our light with others.

This is a personal journey for all of us.

May God give us strength to do this.
