Image and Substance

Image and Substance are NOT the same thing

An image is just a 2 dimensional reflection of the real 3 dimensional object.

In the mirror above, the lady standing in front of the mirror is real flesh and blood, and alive.

She is the source of the image.

But the reflection is just that, a reflection or image of the SOURCE of the image.

Without the source, the image would not exist.

The source can generate the image, but the image cannot generate the source.

Christ is the image of God

2 Corinthians 4:4

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Colossians 1: 13-15

13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

So the Father is the source, and Christ is his Image.

John 14 explains this as well- when they look at Jesus, it is as if they are looking at the face of the Father:

8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”

9 Jesus replied, "Philip, I have been with you all this time, and still you do not know Me? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me?

Jesus then was not saying He WAS the Father, but that he was the image of the Father.

The Father is the source, and Jesus/Yahshua is the reflection/image of that source to mankind.

Man an image of God at creation

Genesis 1:26

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

Genesis 1:27

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

1 Corinthians 11:7

For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

We are transformed into an image of the Lord Jesus/Yahshua upon salvation.

2 Corinthians 3:18

18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

This is why when we come before the Father in prayer, He sees his Son Jesus / Yahshua, not us, and hears us.

clip_image013

This is there is NO OTHER intercessor with God the Father except Jesus / Yahshua

When we see Jesus / Yahshua, we see the Father in heaven, and can pray and worship

When God sees us, He sees Jesus, and answers our prayer.

While we may pray for each other, we must do this in Jesus name, to have Him intercede before the Father for us.
