He Touched Him!

Daniel was touched 3 times. So can we be touched also.

Angels touching people is a rare event, but it should not be.

Daniel 10

Man in linen appears

5 I lifted my eyes and looked, and behold, a certain man clothed in linen, whose waist was girded with gold of Uphaz!

6 His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning, his eyes like torches of fire, his arms and feet like burnished bronze in color, and the sound of his words like the voice of a multitude.

** Note: this does not seem to be Gabriel, who when appears in Daniel 8 and 9, and appears in Luke 1 to Mary, he announces who he is and his name. Gabriel did touch Daniel in chapter 8.

**Note : this physical description matches that of Yahshua /Jesus Christ in Revelation 1 :

13 and among the lampstands was One like the Son of Man, dressed in a long robe, with a golden sash around His chest.

14 The hair of His head was white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes were like a blazing fire.

15 His feet were like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and His voice was like the roar of many waters.

Effect on Daniel – under the glory, Daniel has no strength

8 Therefore I was left alone when I saw this great vision, and no strength remained in me; for my vigor was turned to frailty in me, and I retained no strength.

9 Yet I heard the sound of his words; and while I heard the sound of his words I was in a deep sleep on my face, with my face to the ground.

Touch # 1

10 Suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands.

Answer to prayer delayed with explanation – Arch Angel Michael had to help him with the Prince of Persia

12 Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.

13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.

Reason for Visit to Daniel

14 Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.”

15 When he had spoken such words to me, I turned my face toward the ground and became speechless.

Touch # 2

16 And suddenly, one having the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips; then I opened my mouth and spoke, saying to him who stood before me, “My lord, because of the vision my sorrows have overwhelmed me, and I have retained no strength.

Touch # 3

18 Then again, the one having the likeness of a man touched me and strengthened me.

Assurance to Daniel

20 Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? And now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia; and when I have gone forth, indeed the prince of Greece will come.

21 But I will tell you what is noted in the Scripture of Truth. (No one upholds me against these, except Michael your prince…)

The Touch of God

Yahweh never intended for man to be distant from Him.

Yahweh molded man with divine hands from the earth, to be in fellowship with Him forever.

Just as a baby craves the touch of his mother and father, human beings crave the touch of the Greater Power that gave them life.

Many people try to find this touch in worldly things, to be close to something or someone that they can feel.

The mistake is that they go outside of themselves to find assurance, comfort and validation.

The secret is that Yahweh is within us, because we are his temple.

Many do not know how to pray, and this may take a little time to learn.

But everyone knows how to feel….even the sinners.

I suggest getting alone and playing soft, beautiful worship music.

Let the music flow over you.

Here is one selection I listened to while posting this message.

May Yahweh God bless you and touch you, as you journey closer to Him!

  3. The Lord truly wants each one of his sheep to know him. And the kind of knowing he intends is individual and intimate.

I love when Peter says to Jesus who is walking on sea, “Lord…bid me to come unto thee…” I too want to get out of the boat and have the Lord bid me come unto him.

And I believe the Lord wants all to come into him. In fact I believe this is a commandment. Each person must risk the water and the waves, get out of the Babylonian Boat and come to Christ. All we can do is give him our broken hearts and contrite spirits because in the end he is the only one who can overcome the waves and the water. It’s his mercy and grace that pulls us up to him.

No where does he say that this event of coming to him happens in the next life. Our work or labours are to be done while we take breath. But we cannot trust in the boat and survive the coming storm. We have to abandon ship and rely on Jesus Christ, himself, to save us.

I pray blessings on all who will obey the voice of the Lord and come unto him, Yeshua, the Lamb and the Lion, the Holy One of Israel.
