God wants a wife

What do you think God is looking for in a bride?

I recently watched a TV series called “Farmer wants a wife.” There was a group of very nice young ladies who all were looking for a possible mate. Each one had to be tested in different ways to see how well she was compatible with Matt, the farmer. Slowly, each week, there were eliminations, where it was determined that the particular girl was a good person, but not the best fit for this particular young man. Love and attraction preferences can be very complex!

Finally, Matt settled on one girl, Brooke. What was interesting, throughout the entire series, was that Brooke seemed unsure of herself, and what the relationship was. She was somehow different from the others, and felt isolated. She had feelings, but could not express them. She appeared constantly anxious that she would be eliminated. She was afraid of rejection. She had a happy, outgoing personality, but when she got around Matt, she would freeze up, and could not explain what was on her mind. He called her “tongue tied.” At the very last date, where it was either her or Christa, she was convinced that she had lost, and would be going home. She stared out the window, to watch Matt carry Christa away for their last date also. Christa was also hopeful. In the end, it was Brooke that Matt picked.

Since Brooke was unable to “open up,” how did he know?

He said he could feel love from her! He said love does not need words!

Matt and Brooke

Spiritual application:

Does this remind you of your relationship with God as well?

Do you feel unworthy?

Can you express what you feel to Him?

Do you feel He does not love you like other people?

Do you freeze up, and do not know how to pray?

Do you watch others being blessed, while you seem to be suffering, without help, and rejected?

Do you feel God has rejected you, and you do not know how to get Him to love you?

Do you feel like life is hard, and He is not there for you?

Do you feel isolated, and not accepted by those that seem close to Him?

What is Jesus looking for in His bride?

Jesus said he would come back for a bride without spot or wrinkle. He did not say he was coming back for the church. What is different about his bride, that makes her so different from the others?

It is her love!!!!!!!

It is her love!!!!!!!

It is her love!!!!!!!

It is her love!!!!!!!

It is her love!!!!!!!

He knows our faults. He knows our ignorance. He knows what we have “right,” and do not have right about our doctrines and teachings. He knows how “dumb” some of us are.

He knows most of us are not bible scholars, even if we think we are.

He knows if we try hard to understand His Word properly, or if we intentionally go away from what is truth. There are so many doctrinal traps out there. It is easy to fall into them, if one is too naïve.

He knows if we do our best, even if others do not approve of us. He knows our heart, even if we do everything wrong.

He knows when we lose our battles and when we win. He sees our wounds and hurts.

He knows what we feel, even if we are “tongue-tied !”

We need to realize that “God wants a wife.” He will be looking at her heart, not her accomplishments.

Is her heart pure?

Is He first in her life?

Does she love Him so much that she will die for Him?

Will she put away everything just to be with Him?

Is her love the kind you can go into eternity with?

Does she cry when she misses Him?

Does she constantly have Him in her thoughts?

Does she get excited when she is around Him?

Does she gaze longingly out the window, waiting for Him to come back?

Christians these days, from many of the websites I have visited, are very wrapped up in exposing errors about doctrine, that the false teacher is going to hell, and focus on what is wrong, etc. They spend hours on the web complaining about something, but how many hours do they spend in awe stuck, loving adoration of His glory?

Every Christian wants to be picked as His bride. While studying the Word is crucial to a good relationship with Him, and gives appreciation and insight into His character, inspiring obedience and good witness, we should not forget the first thing He will look for in us. It is our love !!!!

Scriptures about love:

Mat 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Mat 22:39 And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Mar 12:33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love [his] neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

1Jo 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things [that are] in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

1Jo 3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

1Jo 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

1Jo 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

1Jo 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Rom 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love [is] the fulfilling of the law.

Gal 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, [even] in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Hbr 13:1 Let brotherly love continue.

1Pe 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

1Cr 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity (agape love) , these three; but the greatest of these [is] charity.

The question is now….do you love Him the way you should?  Will he see you as His bride when He returns?

  4. One thing most of us have been taught is that if God is perfect, then He cannot be lonely. I completely disagree with that. God is love and love must be given, and this with the hope it is returned voluntarily. And if we are made in the image of God and He tells us it is not good for man to be alone, that means He is lonely too. So yes, He wants a Bride. Not a Bride that is programmed to give love as a robot, but one who will love Him voluntarily no matter the circumstances…DavWms

  5. hi David,

I agree with you. It has impressed me that Jesus had to return to the Father before the Holy Spirit could be released. Maybe, at least one has to “stay home with Dad” for “Dad” to be happy. It seems like, for the most part, only one of them (Jesus, or holy Spirit) comes at a time.

It also reminds me of the father Jacob, who was grieving over the loss of his son Joseph. The other brothers were afraid that taking Benjamin away from him would kill him, or make him suffer greatly.

Maybe this is an earthly parallel to the heavenly realm.

The reason God created us, was to have more to love. He would not have done this if he could not be happy without it.

  11. I couldn’t express myself to God but I feel the love from Jesus Christ, when I’m scared in this world, I will pray in Jesus name. I want to be closer to father Jesus, and in my own feelings, I feel secluded from everyone. i found something new and Jesus have taught me a lesson. I don’t get upset when Jesus don’t reply my answers or need in my pray because he will guide me through life when I’m purify to him. Angels will send messages to my mind and will be leading me. Sometimes I’m upset too that something might not be perfect, but one thing I’m very sure that when I follow everything from God, everything will be okay. Jesus is a good person.

  12. Hey Marianne…I just started my own website too… I put some of our testimonies on it, of course it’s a work in progress because I JUST started it. Anyhow, here’s the link…Hope you are well! =)

    • hi cat

interesting site….I will have to look at it in detail….my impression is that the rapture is not this year 2009. Things are not bad enough yet, unless that suddenly changes.

  14. OMG I absolutely needed to read this….I truly praise my King for this blog and I thank the Lord for using you to write this…God bless you richly for your obedience. Thank you so much…

  15. hello,
……..I really love this blog of yours. It deeply moves my whole being as a follower of God and His HEART….MAGNIFICENT…

  16. Some of his healers have already become Brides of Christ, it is a wonderful initiation from the ancient mysteries. The merging of the soul with the Spirit for the next phase home on the journey home to Abba and his sanctuary. You can also find the initiation in other religions like Sikhism.

  17. Though Jesus may want a literal, human wife, God the father is already balanced. God the father is Jesus’s grouping of several aspects of God: יהוה(YHWH) is his Name, his essense which transcends any division. אלהים/God is all of the aspects united as one. אבינו מלכנו our father our king is probably the most masculine epithet for the father, and names like אל שדי (God of the breast, poorly translated as “God almighty” or simply God) and הרחמן, the merciful one, also an obvious cognate to רחם, womb. Another name for רוח הקודש/holy spirit is שכינה/divine presence, which is the only aspect of God to even be conjugated in feminine. Thus, God the father is balanced by the holy spirit/mother. Their children are Israel and their first born is Jesus. I never considered the concept of him taking his own wife from the Daughters of Tzion. It’s a great concept and it completes a lot of systems and inbalances…. Good job =)

  18. Hi…I have never thought about God wanting a wife until a few weeks ago when I had a very profound experience during a morning church worship session…that’s when I started to search the internet for teaching on the subject and that’s how I found your blog…thanks for sharing your thoughts on the subject one thing I definately agree with is too many christians focus on negative’s and proclaiming error LOVE is the answer I have a blog too its my first attempt so def not as sleek and knowledgeable as yours but have a look:
    http://angieskitchen51.wordpress.com

    • hi Angie

Yes, it is a nice concept that many overlook. For those who are dedicated to Christ, we are his bride.

In a godly marriage, the husband nurtures and protects his wife, and loves her more than himself. It is a passionate relationship of dedication and faithfulness, and deep caring.

The opposite view is that God is in the sky somewhere, and does not care what happens to us. So the truth does make us free.

  19. Adam,

God is looking for a wife….fancy being their full-time butler and bible student?

  20. Soon Jesus will come here from Nibiru and he is about 40 years old. when he comes, he wants to have a wife since his 4 wifes are living on earth and has not lived as they were allowed to so Jesus doesn’t care about them. He wants a new wife and according to Ezekiel 44 he shall have a Hebrew wife and a virgin. We know in our church that he doesn’t want a child to wife so she must be at least 25 years old. Do you folk think that he can find a virgin hebrew girl around 25???

    • assertio….

Jesus is coming back for his church.

his church is his real bride now.

      • m
latest from Nibiru. I am not kidding. he realy wants a wife but we have no virgin hebrew girl around us and I don’t think he will find one if he oesn’t go down some years. The latest I heard from Nibiru is that Jesus has changed his faith from Christian to messianic Jew. Do you think he will find a wife. Sad if he has to live by himself the rest of his life because noone can fullfill the laws (Ezekiel 44). Jesus is coming back to fire up the most part of the church.

        • you are so cute.

I cannot explain that the bride is the church if you believe it should be a hebrew girl.

wait and see what happens. 🙂

          • we realy have contact with Nibiru and he is coming soon. He realy wants a Hebrew wife and she must be virgin otherwise he will break the law in Lev 21 and Ezekiel 44. He does not want to break the law. so my question is still do you think he can find one older than 24 ?

  21. marianne
do you believe Isaiah 53 is about Jesus? If not then you are wrong. If yes then don’t you believe in vers 10? vers ten says he will have children. so he must marry a woman and both Lev 21 and Ezekiel 44 tells us it must be a virgin Hebrew. It is so simple to understand. thoose who says Jesus will not have children don’t understand the Bible.

  22. m
Isaiah 53:10 clearly says Jesus will have children and from Nt we know that Jesus didn’t have children with magdalena so this verse speaks about future. we in our church knows that Jesus is Israel (jacob) and Jacob had four wifes Lea, Rakel, Bilha ans Silpa according to Genesis. we know that they are living on earth and they have Hebrew blood but they have not fullfilled their duty to be virgins until he realised he is Jesus and have wifes. So they have boyfriends and Israel (Jesus) have abonded them because of this so he is looking for a new wife. But right now he is back on Nibiru and will soon come back and then he wants a new wife. when you say the Church is his bride maybe you are right but still Isa 53:10 says he will have children and they are already on earth now. Jesus had 2 of them with Rakel. Both are born on special sundays. their name is Dinah and Shimoen. It is the same children he had in Genesis. But Rakel left him when he started to say that he is Jesus. So once again. Jesus is soon here and he has started to follow the laws in the Tora and Tanak so he must have a virgin hebrew girl according to Lev 21 and Eze 44. He doesn’t want to break any law now. I can give you a reference about Rakel coming back. In Jeremia 31 (not 100 % sure) it says Rakel screams from Rama that the children are not anymore. This is in near future. when Jesus comes from heaven to Jerusalem and Rakel will meet him there but Jesus will just breath on her and then she will die because he hates her. when she realize that she is dead then she screams over the mountains in Jerusalem because she knows she will not see the children anymore. Rama means mountain. Matt said this verse was when they killed all the children who was two years and younger around betlehem but this not true. First of all the most kids in Israel is Lea kids and not Rakel.

  23. continue
Jesus father had enough of his four wifes because they have been pain in the behind in about 4000 years against Jesus father. they have been complaining that they are bored and wants be reborn on earth because we have much more fun here. Our father hastold them that we are not allowed to live like we do on earth that is why they have so much fun there. Our father said if you don’t stop complaining he will destroy them next time they will be reborn so they live here now and have fun but soon Jesus comes back from Nibiru and then their pain starts. I could write a book about this but prefer to be on this blog. I don’t want to reveal to much.

So Isaiah 53:10 was fullfilled some years ago about Jesus having children. Prove me I am wrong?

    • Isaiah 53:10

“Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put [him] to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see [his] seed, he shall prolong [his] days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.”

      this is about suffering….not children!

the “seed” is not personal children, but i can see how that can be confused

  24. Gods son is
Archangel Gabriel, Archangel Michael, Adam, Jacob Israel, Moses, king Salomo, King Zerubbabel, Jesus and in this life Jacob.

when he is in heaven he is two angels but our father puts this two angels together and puts them in one body when he becames human. So Michael is back and you can read about yhe poverty we have in front of us in Daniel 12.

Jesus spoke about Moses, Jacob and Salomo as other persons when his name was Jesus and I don’t know why but he knows more this time.

    Whistleblower

    • I feel to to talk right now so to make it more complicated. God son is even Englands ex king Henric VIII.

  25. I had a dream regarding Jesus four wifes that is living on earth. Soon it will be very poor on earth and all 4 boyfriends that the wifes have will go and try to kill Jesus when he holds the doom and they will die.

  26. more about Jesus four wifes. If they seeks up Jesus in future he will kill them according to Deut 22:22.

  27. Latest news from Nibiru

Jesus says if his wifes seeks him up in future he will fullfill verses below. He has encreased his decision.

    DEUTERONOMY

    22:22
If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die,
both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel

    25:11-12
When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver
her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him
by the secrets: Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.

  28. The info from Assertio above is not true. We in our Church knows that Yaakov Yisroel (Yehoshua) will soon be reunited with his four wifes Lea, Rakel, Bilha and Silpa and they will live like a family forever. He will not kill or cut of their hands as Assertio tells us. Yehoshua is not God and the Trinity is not truth. We in our Church knows this for shure.

  29. Faithful brides to Christ make good children for God.

  30. i.want.the.bride.b,cos.i.got.the.whitestone.

  31. A wife? http://cdn.dailypainters.com/paintings/jesus_on_cross_crucifixion_art_large_painting_chri_3ff60d9c08f5d6f3a20edb3b77cba863.jpg
    Maybe this is foundation.

  32. Would Yahveh Father being spirit, breath or Ruach want a wife or would it be Yeshua as Second Adam who like the first got a wife, in this case Israel?

  33. I think I still need to clear my path nd heart the most
