The title Messiah does not occur in this psalm, but instead YHVH God says he has a Son, who will be over the nations and rule them with an iron rod.

So the Messiah is the Son.

Psalm 2 King James Version (KJV)

1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,

3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

So, without possibly realizing it, Rashi admitted God had a Son, who Rashi identified as the Messiah , who would rule over the nations with an iron hand.

It was easy for me to connect the dots.

I wish so much that my Jewish brothers would do the same, and find redemption.

Rashi lived during the middle ages/ medieval period.

The times were wrong.

Jews suffered much persecution under Christianity, and so they associated Jesus with being persecuted.

Even today, I see a lot of Jewish hatred against Christians for all the harm the Christians did to them.

Think of it, a group of Christians (mostly Lutherans) threw them in the gas chambers in Nazi Germany.

When they tried to escape to America, the US President Roosevelt blocked their ship from entry, and sent them back to Europe. Jews who finally made it to America were met with more anti- Semitism and the KKK.

It is time for Christians to repent of these past evils to the Jewish people, and start praying for them to heal, and make amends by fighting anti-Semitism now.

Christians wonder at the injustice they experience at the hands of Islam.

It may be that a curse was put on them for their past hatred and abuse of the Jews.

Most never repented, and now their abuse has come down on their innocent descendants.

We must all repent of the sins of our ancestors, or the curse may come down on us as well.

After 2000 years of persecution, the reason Jews do not know their Messiah is Christian anti-semitism. So it is our fault.

We must also show great love and support for Israel now.

We must remember our Messiah is Jewish, and when he returns, he is coming to defend Israel against its enemies.

The time to clean up our hearts is NOW.

…So we can show our Jewish brothers and sisters that God has a Son, who is their Messiah.
