Where You are From?
–
What did Jesus mean?
–
Luke 13:24-30
24 “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.
25 When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’
26 then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’
27 But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’
28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out.
29 They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God.
30 And indeed there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last.”

Sin and holiness are spiritual locations
After Adam sinned in Garden:
Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” Gen 3:9
The Lord knew Adam was physically in the Garden, but spiritually he was in sin, which made him hide from YHVH God.
The “secret place:”
For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock. Psalm 27:5He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Matthew 6:6
The secret place is a place of prayer.

Narrow vs Broad Gates lead to holiness or sin
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7:13-14
–
Isaiah 35:8 And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it.
–
The broad path allows sin and following one’s own way and will
EVERYONE DID WHAT WAS RIGHT IN HIS OWN EYES. Judges 21:25
For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy 2 Tim 3:2
But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear. Isaiah 59:2
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23

The narrow path requires
(1) love and obedience to YHVH God
6. Luke 6:46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?
7. John 14:23-24 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.
(2) holiness
And a highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it. It shall belong to those who walk on the way; even if they are fools, they shall not go astray. Isaiah 35:8
(3) perfection – “perfect” literally means “be complete.”
So often, the New Testament and the Old Testament will describe people as being upright and righteous—not in the sense that they have achieved total moral perfection, but rather that they have reached a singular level of maturity in their growth in terms of spiritual integrity.
So if we are to mirror God in that way, we are to mirror him in his moral excellence as well as in other ways.
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your. Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48
Can a person be perfect? Theoretically, the answer to that is yes. The New Testament tells us that with every temptation we meet, God gives us a way to escape that temptation. He always gives us enough grace to overcome sin.
(4) Jesus / Yahshua – we become perfect in Him through a process of repentance, redemption, and salvation
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that he will forgive your sins. (Acts 3:19)
Peter said to them, “Each one of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven; and you will receive God’s gift, the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)
I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. John 10:9
After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. 1 Peter 5:10

What is your location?
So when Jesus refers to where you are from, He is referring to the narrow or broad path, and the place of sin or salvation/holiness.
He “will not know you” if you have un-repented sin in your life, and you are following your own way, instead of His way.
He is the “way, truth and the life,” the GATE to the narrow path of obedience and holiness.
WE cannot get on this narrow path without His forgiveness, love and help.
–
No other “path” or “religion” will save you.
Only Jesus / Yahshua paid the price for your sins with His voluntary death on the cross.
Open the “gate” by accepting Him as your Savior and Lord.
He is the Son of God, given to us by the Father, to help us follow the path of holiness, and to grant us eternal life in Heaven forever.

Before Christ comes to judge the nations, there will be a time of great religious confusion with many false Christs and false prophets. These deceivers will proliferate their own organizations, perhaps resembling today’s denominations. Some may even become the official religion of some nations.
These verses take place after Christ has returned, and after He ascends back to Heaven to rule both Heaven and earth from the throne of His Father. Christ is the Master of the House (the New Jerusalem). The people who after death want to enter the New Jerusalem originate from the false denominations and/or the ‘goat’ nations which will be condemned to go into everlasting punishment (Matt 25:31-46). This is the answer to “where you are from.”
We know the true God is omniscient so knows everything, but asking is a quick way to validate the truth about the person(s) involved. Examples of this are Lord asking Satan “Whence comest thou?” in Job 1:7. Also, Gen 3:9 “Where art thou?” asked to Adam.
So, in these verses, Christ does not apparently know where they have come from because He only recognizes the righteous who have had a personal relationship with Him. These are known where they come from. Where the false denominations come from isn’t from a righteous origin, so the demand is for an explanation of who they are and their true origin.
good explanation also
People who are religious and do not have the love of Jesus Christ in them and it does not matter whether they are a priest, the pope, leader of a country, famous person, wealthy person or a poor person they will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus looks in the sole of a person where as as humans we look at the person on their outward appearance.
If you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the love of God for your fellow man. I don’t mean to be a fool and cast your pearls before swine and trust evil doers who are out to harm people.
Be honest with yourself and with other people because Jesus Christ and God is looking down from heaven
amen
9~13~2019 Some call it Friday the 13th, a curse. I choose to call it a BLESSING! Yahshua the Son of Yahweh Returns VERY SOON! PRAY NOW to be SAVED and SEALED in THEM. Revelation 14:1 HalleluYah! Hebrew: “Praise ye Yah!”
For these verses (Luke 13:25,27) the Holy Name Bible reads, “I know you not whence you are.” This means I know you not “where” you are (coming from.) These sad losers really believed that they were living and working for HIM. For me these verses really demonstrate the terrible deception of Christianity in these last days. All Christians are Roman Catholic in practice. Christianity is PAGAN and ALWAYS WAS!
We are all being called out of HER.
“Come out of her, My people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.” Yahshua the Messiah in Revelation 18:4
ETERNAL SURVIVAL BLESSINGS FOR YAHWEH’S SAINTS!
amen
Marianne, yes! I say “HalleluYah” instead of “Amen”. (This is because the latter sounds like the name of an Egyptian name of deity.)
ETERNAL SURVIVAL BLESSINGS FOR YAHEH’S SAINTS!
ok
AMEN
