Church Wolves

Money, power, idolatry and sex.

It has been the same for thousands of years, yet people still do not learn, and discern what is in front of them.

Scriptures:

(1)

11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the Lord, and say, Is not the Lord among us? none evil can come upon us. Micah 3:11

(2)

14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate. Revelation 2:14-15

The church is not a business. It is a calling of believers to proclaim the gospel.

If Jesus / Yeshua did not demand a salary, why are we paying huge amounts of money to preachers?

clip_image003

Look at the criticism in (1) more closely:

Heads (leaders) judge for reward

Priests teach for hire

Prophets divine for money

Does this remind of the modern church?

It’s all about money!

clip_image004

Look at (2) more closely:

Idolatry

Fornication

Nicolaitanes

There may not be statues, but how are material things idolized in the church?

Status, influence, cars, clothing, houses?

Are preachers idolized?

How many go to their preachers with a problem, instead of straight to God?

How many gays or sex perverts are in the church, claiming to be Christians?

How many people in the church have to have positions of power or influence in the church, lording it over the others, as if they have a special “anointing” that gives them this right?

clip_image005

clip_image006

It is time for the sheep to get free!

The head of each believer is Christ, not a man!

Save your money for the poor.

Save the money to help your own family.

Bow down to no man.

Respect yourself.

You do not need a pastor to preach the gospel on your behalf to the world.

That is YOUR job.

Get busy in your local area, and witness for Christ.

The time is short.

When you are judged by God, He will NOT ask you what your preacher did.

He will ask you what YOU did for Him.

  1. […] here for […]

    • I’m writing this on what was to be my anniversary. But it is my divorce. Why? I married a wolf in sheeps clothing. I was abandoned by my mega church for speaking out against their idolatry. Abandoning the sheep. Charging for Gods word. People were told not to speak or associate with me. The stain ran deep. God told me he would make me the head and not the tail. I could sing. The 2,000 strong church wanted to know why the oversite refused to use my talent. I became a solo singer on the demands of the body of Christ. I know this infuriated them. God had his way.
Then along came this man. Mr Perfect.
No marriage counselling for me. Just good riddens. I moved to his church.
      The perfect partner.
But there were warnings. One caring pastor claimed he was wrong.
One of the church women were concerned for her Children.
But… people loved him. We were perfect.
Then we married. His adultery was already in progress. Secrecy and silence was his communication. Gas lightning was his tools of abuse. Our daughter was abused by him. He attempted to murder me. Legally came off the hook. His family practiced witchcraft. The law too frightened to get involved. Prayers from this blog shattered their curses and covers so completely. The whole issue fell open and exposed. It is being judged in the courts of heaven to this day. Church set up who knows? They had the corruption and the power. Your prayers will help me too. When the sheep are abandoned the wolves attack. The Lord Jesus Christ took the keys of hell. The captives are free after 20 years of emotional abuse and his reign starts now! Not one rock will be left unturned. He will take revenge for his people. All we do is love and forgive.

  2. Lots of great points here. It seems the majority of Western Christendom is caught – stuck- in “church as business” because that’s all many know. In some areas, that is all that is available. They were raised w/ it, they assume THAT is ‘church’, and they read all the NT epistles (“how to” for the Body), w/ lenses tinted so that’s how the instructions translate. Thank God that over the past century, w/ a move of Holy Spirit virtually every 20 yrs, a lot of us are RElearning the true biblical definition of, and structure for, ‘church’…many are finally leaving institutional church (IC) and finding something more authentic. House churches are exploding nearly everywhere, and many ‘micro churches’ (like the one I attend) are too. I do see the occasional large church doing it ‘right’: discipling/mentoring their people into ministry, and seeing lasting fruit in lives; and having great impact on their cities , by replicating Jesus’ ministry rather effectively (Bethel Church in Redding, CA is one example). We are each responsible to be students of the Word and stay intimately connected w/ Father God…if more would do this, we wouldn’t have so many victims in the Church instead of victors. We wouldn’t be so fixated and dependent on human leaders to do OUR jobs of spreading the Kingdom of God; they are to equip US to do the work of ministry. Let’s go PRE-Reformation, and let Jesus rebuild His Church as He originally intended.

  3. Wow. Glad to hear someone knows the truth of God, confirms exactly what I said yesterday. More and more preachers are in the Church to do business and not service, becoming the receivers and are no longer the givers. When I wrote my book that was published at my cost, titled; Just A Closer Walk With Jesus, a preacher approached me and told me I had no right to write books that make mention of God’s Word because I am not a qualified preacher. Shame I said, “Are you so blind?” He also bcame insulting because I handed out all my published books out to the poor and needy free of charge. Three months later the preacher was caught in bed with another man’s wife. So yes, watch out for the wolves, for there are many.

  4. Good you did a post on this. If I only knew this Truth umpteen years ago. As a new dedicated believer, faithfully attended; commanded to tithe, though we had not enough to pay our bills living in near poverty. I was taught a ‘new” church doctrine. We were to submit. Submit to pastor, elders, of course husband and even our own parent’s; did not matter they were not saved and we were living our own married life. This church deeply distorted at that time, my walk with Jesus. Young believers wanting to please the Lord have yet to learn discernment from those given this authority; this is grave error. They are accountable.

The Good Shepherd goes after HIS own. Following now the Good Shepherd [only.] Anyway that is my church experience. Such unholy control! Just skimming the surface on how much they actually controlled.
I am over this now, but this is imbedded as a lesson.
I know who my Master is~

  5. Freely we are given and so freely we should give.A minister went into coma & he saw himself at the entrance of the bema seat of judgment & he claimed that he was turned back to the world to go & make amends as he usually charged other ministers in order to minister in their churches & raise funds.but my question is : is the church forbidden from collecting first fruit offering tithes etc

  6. Where I live there is no church that I have found worthy of my time, (I trust that isn’t heresy.) So, I devote my time to God one on one with Him. And my “tithes” go to the local senior center which extends its services to anyone in need, not just the elderly or disabled.

This website is my “church” for fellowship, engaging conversation, and always a further study into the scriptures. God’s “church” has no walls.

    • denise

that was sweet to say that about this website.

there are no churches around here for me either….

the body of christ really does not need a building….but it would be nice for all of us to meet someday…

maybe in the air on the way to heaven 🙂

      • Marianne, Denise,
Many here rely on the fellowship, interactions, encouragement & prayer of most here. We give where the Lord puts on our heart’s in our own communities. I too am one.

Wherever 2 or more are gathered in My Name, there I am in the midst of them. Matt 18:20

Yes to meet in glory, will be glorious! 🙂

      • Marianne, I sincerely believe that those whom we have touched or bonded with here on this earth plane (whether they are friends, family, colleagues, acquaintances, …) we will, indeed, meet again.

      • Yes, thanks Marianne for all you do! I came across your site about 8 yrs ago! I recently left the church I actually really liked for its discipleship classes & joined their wonderful music dept. But after 4yrs I am not going…got too big & they want the congregation to come up with millions to buy another building..the congregation is made up of mostly middle class, this is shameful in my understanding. I agree with you & the other saints here…God bless you & yours!

  7. This is very true. Thank you for your post. Money rings bells when I think of some Charismatic Churches that I have visited – but it also rings true for the Anglican Church in Sydney where I live. They ask for large sums of money weekly and then God judged them for this a few years ago – when investments went sour with huge losses incurred.

  9. Watch out for those many breeding wolves that come to you in sheeps clothing, they strip you naked, spiritually rape you and then with their greedy claws they engrave HELL on your back. Pity I cannot send you a picture of this.

    • 3 And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?

      2 Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

3 Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.

4 Then shall they cry unto the Lord, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.

5 Thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.

      micah 3 : 1-5

  10. There is nothing wrong with giving to God’s kingdom
    Just don’t be compelled
    Let it be your choice.

  11. That tithes are for the temple @ Jerusalem, now is that the heavenly or the earthly, the past or the future?

Secondly, I do love wildlife and wolves as well. There is nothing wrong with being a wolf, just dont you pretend to be a sheep when you are not. Wolves in sheep camouflage are what we all need to be ware of.

It is written, that we test the Lord and see if he will not open all the windows of heaven in so much as we dhall have no room to recieve, as much as we tithe correctly. Now this is the catch. If one sends their tithes and offerings go a destination and in that season the windows if heaven remain shut, and they get their pockets full of hole, such that they remain in debt, is that not justificatio their tithes/offerings did not reach the house of God? One ought to use that test, and move on, until they discover what destination of their tithes equates to the house of Hod.

Lastly, most of us who tithe do so amiss, for the tithe is a tenth of ones increase. In sowing a bag of seed and harvesting ten, the increase is not ten, nor even nine. Valu wise, if the ten output of the field in value is twenty units of currency, when the total input was five units, then the increase is only ficteen and not twenty.

For most of the salaried labourers, the increase ought to be the net income after deducting all ones physical requirenents, food, clothes, fuel and basic needs bills. Yhen afterward, only a tenth of the surplus is reauired in githing.

I grew up in a family where tithes were preached almost every other church day. My parents would tithe and leave the jouse bare of the next weeks requirements, to extents of lack and great want. But they still would tithe, up to this day, of whatsoever send them for their upkeep, even when its not enough. They still await the windows of heaven to open, but that a prstty long wait theyve had.

Id advise anyone to test the principle of tithing and without fear or favour, to live up to the results of the test. After all, its the one time God allows us to test Him.

    • tithes were only meant to be paid to the temple in jerusalem.which was destroyed in 70 ad

not event the jews tithe right now

the tithes were never meant to be applied to the gentile church, which uses it for pastor salaries.

free will offerings are ALL that is asked of NT believers.

  12. The Old Covenant tithe was only expected of those who raised crops or animals…everyone else gave ‘freewill offerings’. The tithes (I believe there were three), were the Temple ‘welfare system’, and for maintenance of the priesthood. This side of the cross, WE are both Temple and priests, and II Cor 9:6,7 is our mandate for giving…”bountifully..as he purposes in his heart…cheerfully..” There is no amount stated; but we are to give as Holy Spirit leads. The early Church had no paychecks or property, and most pastors had their own businesses. Offerings supplemented their income, provided for the poor, and funded apostles and prophets (the only ministers on “full time pay”, as they traveled and couldn’t maintain a regular job). And btw…Heb 10:25 commands us to not forsake assembly; it’s pretty rare to not find SOMEWHERE to gather w/ other believers, even if it’s just a Bible study. God can provide a place to go.

  13. Cindy,

    Amen!

The evangelical church is about to be shaken to its foundation.

    Blessings to you.
    Psalm 20

    • Thanks and bless you DJ… I believe the charismatic branch of the Church might be shaken even more! (And I am one, for lack of a better label)

  14. Marianne,

I’m scrolling through all HA page topics that relate to this one (Church Wolves), finding this video.

Wolves also work at feeding the flock with a good portion of “spiritual” leaven in messages, and corporate worship that doesn’t honor a Holy God.

“In 1 Corinthians 5:6 we read: “Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?” Sin has a “leavening” influence upon the soul: you simply cannot include a little sin in your life without it affecting your whole spiritual life. Hidden sin (i.e., hypocrisy) spreads like spiritual corruption throughout the body and will eventually be exposed.

‘Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth’ (1 Cor. 5:7-8).

Therefore put away from you the old nature – the yetser ha’ra – and purge from you the old leaven of Egypt that inwardly cankers you and makes you sick. Walk without hypocrisy in the truth of the love of God for your soul. Amen.” (John Parsons, Hebrew for Christians).

    Blessings
    Psalm 25

  15. I have been caught up in Churches that rely on the income of the congregation where big baskets were handed around and any small change fell through the baskets. This is wrong. Also, I have been bullied by so called Christians who think they can put things over you. I am very careful who I associate with in the Church and I take note of what they say and what they do. If things do not add up – I keep clear of them. I have learnt to trust God not man.

  22. Amen. Its what we do for GOD not our church that counts. Where I live we have many homeless- some on streets and some in temporary hostels or hotels. I respect my church but I think feeding the hungry is more important than paying a set tithe to the church. I could be wrong about tithing but somehow it doesn’t sit right in my spirit to put giving to church above giving to hungry and needy. If one can afford to do both then that is great but not everybody can

  23. I agree with what you have said. I have seen so many so called Christian people who have money look down upon the poor in the church and status is given to the rich in the church. A lot of the Priests in the Christian church get paid high wages and a lot of money is spent on the buildings and furnishings of the church – and hardly any money is given to the homeless and the poor.

Buildings and furnishings should be set up for the homeless to stay at and the poor given food and clothing packages (for the desperate). Also, help people to get jobs and the rich to create industries for jobs.

  24. Although I believe God wants to bless
His children, I am tired of the emphasis
being on that instead of winning the lost
and praying for their salvation. Yes, it does
take money to run a church, to do missions,
to fly here and there to preach, to open
    homeless shelters, which some churches
are doing. However, when pastors favor some
members over others because they are the
biggest giver, or because they wait on them
hand and foot, or because they are “yes” men
who agree with them on everything, then that
is being a respecter of persons. God said NOT
to be a respecter of persons, in fact he
condemned that idea. Everyone is valuable to
God. Jesus died for WHOSOEVER will!! When
Christians look down on others for not having
as much, or dressing as well as others, or
they don’t have the right “look”, then that is not
close to what God wanted His church to be. He
looks at the HEART, not at how things appear.
I’m sure He does not expect any church to be
perfect, nor does he expect that of pastors or
lay people. But much harm is being done in the
church by pastors who pick and choose who
has the right “image” to be in “their” church,
while keeping out the very ones who need help
the most. The church is a hospital for sick
people, not a country club or social clique.
For certain reasons I had to change churches
and started looking for a new one. I ended up at
a church 30 miles from my city. I went alone as
no one else was able to come with me that day.
Not ONE person said hello to me. Not ONE person
shook my hand. Not ONE person even
acknowledged me. Being saved for many years, I
was able to overlook that and not let it bother me
much. But if I had been young in the Lord it
would have turned me off. They actually acted
suspicious of this “newcomer” (me), as if I was
there to spy on them or something. In the church
I attended for over 15 years, I went looking for new
people that sat alone or looked lonely. I taught my
children to do the same. To me, that’s basic
    Christianity. Now that’s rare….in fact, I shudder
to think of those that have reached out for help
and encouragement and been turned away. There
was a song that came out a few years ago, called
“If we are the body, why aren’t our hands reaching”….
or something to that affect. My prayer partner
and I both heard from the Lord, about 12 years ago,
that there was a spirit of “popularity” coming on the
church worse than it was before, where it would be
more important to be “popular” and lower our standards
than to be the hands and feet of Jesus to this world.
I believe that day has come. There is a competition
to be the most sought after preacher, pastor, worship
leader, etc…. with one church competing against
another for top honors. Enough is enough!!!

    • down south

the real church is the body of christ outside buildings and organizations.

flee all bad churches and stay home if you have to….and spend time with the Lord….

soon, churches will be raided and the people killed there.

    • Down South,

      God bless you (Psalm 20).

Pray those wolves out in the name of Jesus.

    • Down South,

Blessings to you. I have not been attached to any church for a little over 25 years, the reasons do not matter here.

I have had to stay home, as Marianne suggests. Other churches I tried to attend were, as you say, more like feel good country clubs and social cliques.

This site has become my church. I miss the fellowship with other believers, in person, but this site is very close to that of being in the physical presence of others.

My time alone has drawn me closer to God, allowed me to be more in His presence, make sure I am right with the Lord, and spend time in prayer.
