When Deliverance fails

It is heartbreaking, or it should be, when we pray for someone’s deliverance, and we see it fail.

What went wrong?

–

We try and try again, and it still fails.

Since there is no problem with Yahweh God, it is either the minister, the petitioner, or both.

–

Some ministers, due to pride, ignoring their own limitations, like to blame the petitioner, so they do not lose face with the congregation.

This makes things worse, since now they impose a spirit of guilt on the individual.

But then there are genuine ministers, totally committed, and it must be something amiss with the petitioner.

And the petitioner can make the same mistake of transferring the blame to the minister.

These failings and limitations on both sides have to be faced.

Also, understand that the longer the demon has been rooted in the person, the harder it will be to remove it.

Patience is needed, a lot of it, and a sense of long term commitment.

The deeper the demon is rooted, the more passionate and stronger the response has to be to remove it.

–

Below are some obstacles, in most situations, to deliverance I found, with their references.

Then, at the end is the ultimate effort that must come from the person, if all other obstacles are overcome, or not an issue.

Deliverance is valid; however, it should be left to the experts

Christians cannot have demons

Deliverance must never be done in public

Deliverance is just a matter of faith

Deliverance must be with (or without) manifestations

Deliverance and demonology glorify the devil, we should keep our minds on Jesus

Those who get involved in deliverance suffer personal attacks from the devil

Jesus did it all for us – we don’t need to fight

Then there is the atypical reaction that should be the first action taken, not the last, to achieve freedom from your pain :

Go straight to the Lord and cry out for your freedom

At this point, it is between you and Yahweh of heaven,

And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. Psalm 50:15

Only the two of you exist in this moment.

Your surroundings are blurred, your focus is on your relationship with God, not a “procedure,” or whatever demon it happens to be.

Procedure is no longer relevant.

Your heart is bursting with pain, and you want your Father in heaven to heal you and comfort you.

Like a child crying out for its parent, in panic mode, where is my father? Please help me!

You cry out with all that is in your heart….all you want is Him.

You want to come home, to the One who loves you!!!

The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. Psalm 34:17

Conversation with man who was delivered from demon, without a minister.

He was a former satanic priest, was possessed, and wanted his life back.

I asked him on behalf of a lady I knew who had prayed multiple times for deliverance, but had not been successful.

His comments in white, mine in blue ( notice that I start out “procedure oriented” and we end up “relationship oriented”):

so you were crying out to yahweh?

and i just had this meditation like feeling of running and leaping into God’s lap

general “procedure” for christians is to bind the demon, rebuke it and cast it out in the name of jesus….applying the blood and commanding the spirit

many times the subject is passive

but focus is on the demon, not yahweh

no ritual just a child.. no thought. .just fleeing to him…no questions….etc

so she has to do more on her part

people focus on the demon and talk to it…and it doesn’t matter…..

the relationship between you and Yah is the point

so it is not the "procedure" it is the relationship with Yah

This is a great assurance, that Yahweh God is always there, when man fails us, and when we fail ourselves.

Go to Yahweh God, not man, and make your deliverance a beautiful, intimate experience.

Focus on Yahweh, the Father, and Jesus, Yahshua, the son of Yahweh, the channel through which the power of Yahweh flows. 

No one comes to the Father except through Him, and no one receives the Father’s deliverance without Him.
