Are False Christian Websites putting you in bondage?

Since we are in the last days, we must be discerning about where we go to discuss religious topics. Some sites are very deceptive, either intentionally, or unintentionally. Although they claim to have a Christian focus, things can quickly deteriorate into a very harmful situation.

Not everyone who claims to be a Christian, is one. The Bible predicts that there will be a great falling away in the last days, and not everyone that claims they belong to the Lord, will be acknowledged by Jesus when the judgment comes.

Some discussion sites focus on “exposing false teachers.” This can be a noble mission.

Some sites do well with this topic, and some sites are traps.

The proper approach to exposing false teaching:

To do a good job exposing falseness or error, the site should:

state what the false teacher has said

show proof that it is wrong, or how inconsistent it is with scriptures

conclude that this is wrong/or heretical because of the proof

explain what is true instead

Wrong approach:

ranting, bloodthirsty attacks expressing personal opinion, no proof, or inappropriate connection between their “proof” and what the person said. Obsession with the person, sarcasm, hatefulness, gossip, ridicule, generalizing specific mistakes, and condemning everything about the person. attacking others who disagree, who may have a more balanced view. False accusations, unsubstantiated remarks, assigning evil intent to teaching errors.

Remember that not everyone with a false teaching is 100% wrong in ALL their theology. They may only have 10% that is wrong, or one teaching that is wrong, but the other 90% is valuable. If the site condemns everything about the person and denies what is correct about the person’s teachings, then you will fall into the trap of condemnation. I have seen sites accuse the person of being demon possessed, and that everything that happens in the ministry is evil. This is unfair.

The trap:

One or both of 2 things will happen

(1) If you happen to have a critical nature yourself, you will find yourself agreeing with them, and will end up doing an injustice to the person criticized, as well as contaminating your own spirit with negative remarks. We must always evaluate something fairly. We can argue with people and disagree, but we must be careful that we do not harm people personally. We must not let our passion for the truth hurt anyone.

(2) You will spend an endless cycle of self defense as you are constantly attacked and condemned. They will always want the last word, and as you try to give a good conclusion or answer, they will bind you with many confused arguments, and you will feel trapped, into constantly responding to them. This is a huge waste of time, and spiritual energy. It will drain you, and you will never convince them of your perspective.

Negative Behaviors:

they will attack, and attempt to destroy any true witness you have

they launch attacks at you for innocent remarks

Positive testimonies are rejected as doubtful, so if God helped you, then you are “lying,” or “deluded.” They do not believe you, since they “see” no proof from you. (They have no trouble lying themselves, however.)

your words are twisted into the wrong meanings, and they consistently, and intentionally come to the wrong conclusions, since they have already made up their minds.

They will put words in your mouth, and claim you said things that you did not say. Then they will attack you for saying these things. (insane !!)

they will gang up on you (typical of religious spirits)

they will claim to have “knowledge” of you that they can use to threaten you with

instead of objectively addressing specific issues, they attack you as a person

no evidence of Christian love

they are only nice if you agree with them

they are mean, cold, condescending, critical, condemning

argumentative, full of strife, relentless, harassing, unforgiving

they are spiritually blind to anything you tell them, narrow-minded

you never get their approval

they are falsely “objective”

they can be quite savage in attacks

they speak curses over you to influence and control your opinion

they do not believe anything you say. spirit of unbelief present

they are spiritually superior to you – you have to take their advice and conclusions since you are in sin and they are right

they will tell you to repent, since you are guilty

they will focus on, and point out, all your “personal faults,” since they have no truth to fight back with.

if you fight back and say they are lying when they falsely accuse you, they will become the victims of your sinfulness, and then YOU will become the “false accuser. (***they are the false accusers to begin with, then when you say they are lying, then that makes YOU the false accuser.)

they display delusions of religious superiority and authority one minute, and delusions of persecution (by you) the next

they will confuse every issue badly, to get you to concede, or to confuse things into looking like they “won”

they tend to be sensational in expressing their views

Your biggest clue will be when they block your comments, responses, and participation on their sites, because appealing to fairness, righteousness, and Christian charity (love) will offend them. One clever trick is for someone to take what you said, add to it or change it, then secretly forward it to the moderator of the site, to misrepresent you. You do not get a copy of the “complaint.” This is commonly known as “backstabbing.”  You are then condemned or blocked, but remarks about you are still being permitted on the site. That is, comments are being manipulated so that only the antagonistic view is presented about you. When it gets this bad, just leave and don’t worry about it. This is their sin, not yours.

Spiritual weapons need to be updated:

In the Bible, how to identify the bad from the good was based on how well the devil had progressed up to that point. But since then, the devil has read the bible also, and has adapted his methods to update his spiritual weaponry. ( For example, he has the internet now, and the new testament to twist around). Now, contrary to what many expect, ungodly people will declare that Jesus is Lord, that the Christ has “come in the flesh,” that they are Christians, they will praise God, and then turn around and act like the devil. This is nothing but witchcraft and control. It feels like you are the prey of demonic creatures out to get your blood.

If the devil has updated his lies to deceive us, then we must be wise and update our awareness of his devices to protect us.

Best approach – leave them to themselves – let God deal with them – they will not listen to you anyhow.

  2. Hi Marianne,

You’ve made some pretty strong statements here but what I don’t see is a biblical basis for anything you’ve written…..

If you read the Fifth Chapter of Galatians it talks about fruits…which is how we tell the good from the bad….do you have Scripture that states “In the Bible, how to identify the bad from the good was based on how well the devil had progressed up to that point. But since then, the devil has read the bible also, and has adapted his methods to update his spiritual weaponry”…cause I can’t seem to locate the Scripture to support what your assertians…..

    • I went through this myself. I went out with a non-believer. I recolonized I was being agonized by him. I knew it wasn’t him. The more he called me names the more anger I was building up…finally I got delivered from verbal, mental, physical, spiritual abuse. I went into some church to deliver me cause, I was wondering why I was always receiving verbal abuse from men. I was manipulated by the spirit of false love and men whom I thought loved me but actually the Devil was at work through them..I was sexually abused as a child from a protestant step dad. Then later I was married and my x husband was also abusive, when I left I dated others and all were abusive. I turned to the lord and 7 years later I met someone again.Whom I am speaking of an abuser of fowl mouth, I would than find myself defending Christ as he claimed to be a devils advocate. I was so trapped into this relationship. I began to hate him but yet I wanted to be with him. I was losing power and he was suffocating me..finally I went and got delivered at a church unknown to me. I got worse, two days after my deliverance, I began to experience so much stuff…witchcraft and evil spirits, anger, bitterness, guilt, shame, lust, and pains in my stomach. I even almost didn’t want anything to do with Christ, when in fact before my deliverance, I was so eager to leave this relationship and just follow Christ..cause my love for him was more strong and that is why I wanted deliverance so I would come clean to Christ after I went with this man. It has been two months since than..I am still spiritual attacked in my room, and I still feel the serpent in me. I have been praying of discernment and studying the serpent and found that there is false Christians, and they sometimes do more harm than Good. God promised a sound mind and love. I got torment, I have witchcraft in me..right now and waiting for the right church to cast out devils…cause the devil can not cast out his own devils..I went to two churches now and got deliverance and they still cant cast it. it makes me believe that their is false churches and false doctoring s..till I see a church that castes devils out, I will know that church is from God..and not of Satan..they just made me sick..and whether the spirit left me and went got 7 more, this church still should have been powerful enough to cast and not make me worse…anyone know a church that castes out devils? And heal the sick? and actually succeed in it? I am looking..in Vancouver, let me know..not just any church..I also gotze to thinking that they just opened up something that was closed and never closed it. And left me to fight alone..I still pray in my room and I still listen to Gospel music and continue to repent, they will not make me turn away from my Lord even if they try..and this thing is hurting me..that is in me..
For those non-believers, do not be Ignorant..this is happening in Churches right now…False prophets…making people ill, with snakes and witchcraft..even prayers sent against you from a congregation is a SNAKE not the holy spirit…They send demons. If I lived by an angry neighbor who worships and does not have Christ in them, she can go to her congregation and pray against me binding me and causing me to be in bondage. This is happening to me as well..I may be a sinner, but I sure do not deserve to be condemn to hell when I can repent. These people are serving Baal, or the anti-Christ who deceives many. He is a snake and they plant the seed of the snake in you to control you and your fears, but keep fighting and wait for the right healing and the right person to take it all off..Prayer alone does not do it.. I am a witness..God Bless you all…

      • Oh and people, you might want to read why Satan has come.
Here is a site…maybe that will make one want to believe and pray more..in sincerity and not control others…
        http://kittykit.wordpress.com/category/satan/

      • Why are you looking to men and false doctrines of demons instead of looking to Christ? Spirits of false love do not exist. If someone is abusing then it is considered a sin. There is no such thing as a demon of lust, laziness, craziness or whatever. You can’t take sin and call it demons. That is not scriptural. These are false teachings that are meant to put you into bondage.

Believers cannot be possessed by demons no matter what anyone is trying to tell you. If you are a believer then your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and a demon cannot co-exist with the Holy Spirit that is in you.

Believing in these false doctrines will only put you into bondage and have you living in fear and mental torment.

If you are not saved then you need to understand the Gospel of Christ first. Read the Gospel of John for yourself if you haven’t already. You are saved by having faith in Christ for your redemption.

Look to Christ for your salvation and read the Bible to get sound doctrine. Test everything against the scriptures and don’t be so quick to accept these doctrines of demons.

        • i send this message in love and understanding in your view and yes we should always look to Christ in every matter. the word tells us that Chirst casted out many spirits. and yes when we are saved we are freed from all of them. but through sin-transgressions we give these unholy spirits “legal ground” to influnace-and enter our temple. saved or not. your right there isn’t a spirit of laziness-craziness but laziness and craziness is the fruit that lets us know the spirit is influnacing. example the spirit of jealousy, its fruit is anger, rage, wrath and more. i have paper work on 16 of them.with scripture. you are right we don’t get to lay blame for our sins on these unholy spirits. our choices we are accountable for. these spirits work of the flesh of a human. the purpose is to create a strongholds in our lives to disrupt our spirital purpose/our ministry. these spirit our domnic strongmen. we have to choose to let the Holy Spirit/Chirst help us “cast them out”. when sin is repeated over and over we start to loose the guilt that occurs when we sin. this becomes a transgression giving the unholy spirits ‘legal ground” to effect our lives and our temple. these names of the spirits are in the word, the fruit isn’t always noted. i’d love to help anyone with this subject 580-763-4007 ask for michael. know i have no intention to act or come across to be smarter,i just happen to have spirital gifts in this department and have done alot of searching on the subject. no one should feel less of a christian etc. not knowing of this knowledge i have recieved from the Holy Spirit. its avalible to all who ask in his name,i believe thats why we all have been brought this site. to share the word. what’s so amazing about the topic is how it has changed my life and how it has made it possible to help others,it takes you right to the answers-something has to be casted out in Jesus Chirst name and no one gets to blame anyone or the devil—it lets us face the sin we have commited with a true chance for true repentance. i pray this has opened some understanding for both sides of this issue. “glory to God!”

          • hi michael

thank you for your concern for brandy. I forwarded your message to her.

          • Michael, hopefully you see this. Maybe you can help me. A friend of mine was abused by his father. Constantly under fear that his father were make good on his threat if killing him. One summer, out of fear, desperation, & wanting to have control over when he dies (rather than his father having that control), he took a gun & went into the woods.

The moment he fired the gun into his chest, he prayed out to the Lord. Angels intervened, & he is still alive today. He now is trying to help survivors of suicide & those contemplating suicide. He wrote a book (available thru amazon) called ‘When An Angel Intervenes’ by Christian Price (not real name, but his pseudo name).

Anyhow, he still suffers from horrible nightmares. Flashes of suicidal thoughts, & even having red streaks or welts form on his skin. I personally feel, because of the seriousness of suicide, that their are demons upset that they lost him, & are trying to hang on to him. Sadly, I now live some distance away. I am Catholic, & have mentioned my concerns to him. Evenasking him to call a Catholic parish near him, & speak w/ the preist. But I think he down plays what my gut feels.

Do you, or anyone else, have some thoughts? Have any of you heard of anything similar?

Thank you for any help/ advice.

            God Bless,
            Heather

            • heather

Michael gave his phone number above.

If you really feel your friend is afflicted, then take the initiative and call a priest yourself. Find one in his area, and ask if the priest can go talk to him.

Possibly, the priest can get him an appointment with a christian counselor, or counsel him himself.

      • What happens when you try to cast the demons out yourself? It was my understanding that everyone who had received Christ was authorized to use His name in that way. It works for me when I’ve accidentally left myself open to the sleep paralysis thingies, and I’m hardly the mother of saints. (Other potentially important notes about those instances: A]Sometimes it only leaves in response to prayer but in most other cases it leaves in response to direct exorcism. B]If I’m afraid, it seems to hinder what I’m doing and I end up having to repeat myself. C]I am almost always able to pinpoint something that was in my own heart that evening that left me open to them. Openness is not my natural state of being as a Christian.)

Also, I don’t have any personal experience with Vancouver churches, but it may not be their fault that the spirits come back. Those things are always looking for an opening, even if some of their number were very recently evicted.
It sounds like your painful life has really worn you down emotionally, which can in many cases translate into spiritual vulnerability. Fear seems to be a frequent entry point into people’s lives.
(I think I’d recommend some sort of counseling for the broken spots in your heart.
No, seriously, I get the impression you’ve been in so many helpless situations in your lifetime that you no longer remember how not to be helpless. I’m sorry if this sounds rude.)
But I really don’t understand the mindset of needing just the right church to set you free. Jesus came to do that! He that is in us is greater than him that is in the world.

      • Have you tried fasting and repenting for involvement with the men?
Have you ask Jesus to show you where to go or for him to send some one to you. Jesus can do anything when we are sincere and believe. All things are possible with christ. Cry out to the lord. begin to speak life the word says whom the son sets free is free indeed. After that we are not to be entangled with the yoke of bondage again. the word also says whosoever calls on the name of Jesus will be saved. When you pray say i break every witchcraft spell from over my life in jesus name. I nullify every word spoken curse wether you spoke it or someonelse did. Remember to castdown every vain imagination and bring it into the captivity of christ. pray the 35th pslam. Seek the kingdom of God and his righteouseness he can be found and he can deliver you. Ask Jesus to send the angels of war to war on your behalf in the heavenlies and put your name in the hearts of true intecessors that wont stop prayin until they know its finished. In all you do be sure to seek God not man. God bless you.

        • Wow very good Arrinda, thanks for you advice that Our Holy God Jehovah and JesusCrist always bless you .Amen.

      • my names is michael, your request touched my heart and a voice{holy spirit} said to reach out to you. call me at anytime 580-763-4007 im willing to speak with you as long or as many times as you need to recieve the blessing your are searching for. seek and you will find. paige might answer, she is my wife to be and we are praying for you. we live in oklahoma.

        • I’ve believed in God ever since i was young but it takes me longer to understand things as they are . I look at certain people and i see the evil right through them , or even in thier voices . Even in mine sometimes . I’ll see somehing that isn’t right and it changes me. Something goes off in my thoughts . When i laugh at times , i cackle . It depends on my mood or what or who i’m around . Lately i’ve been very talkitive about stuff i’ve been reaveled to from within , and i feel like i need to share but at the same time , i know i need to keep certain things to myself . It says in James that everyone should be quick to listen , slow to speak , and slow to become angry . I have a hard time not fretting or worrying about things because i am insecure about certain things about myself . It doesn’t help when I’m in the system and I have one of the staff tellling me that I’m always going to depend on the system and that I’m a project to society .( Me and her got in an argument long story ) I know i shouldn’t keep remembering these things but i do…. . I’m more then a pay check and I’m not a project of society . The things they depived me of for so long , but i allowed them because i didn’t listen to those who were trying to warn me . I know angels exist as well as demons . I know God speaks through me daily , even when satan try to come in me …..I give him a battle man .and i fight . Sometimes we have to be in the faces of our enemies to see what we need to improve on , or what not to become if that makes sense . I get scared when I see certain things for as they are . I don’t know . what does this sound to you ???

          • raven

It sounds like the staff where you are have put you in bondage, and are working to take away your identity and humanity. What you see is real.

I pray you are able to be set free from this environment.

  3. Also,

How do you know the devil read the bible….chapter and verse please….

    Thank You!

  4. hi Phil

The devil was quoting the bible to Jesus in the desert, when he was tempting him.

  5. an excellent read. Thankyou Marian.

here are just a few verses given to us to heed concerning false teachers and wolves in sheeps clothing…
Jesus warned us Matt 7:15 Matt 24:5-8 Mark 13: 5-8 John 8:42 onwards speaking to pharisees.

    Paul warned us 2 corinth 11:4-7 2 corinth 11:13-17 Gal 1:7-10
    2 Thess 2:1-3 1 tim 4:1-3 eph 6:12 2 tim 4:1-5

    titus 1:15-16

    1John 4: 1-6 2john v 7-11

  6. Hi Marianne,

Thanks for the answer to my second comment…..now how about getting around to answering the first comment….specifically your quote….and just to refresh your memory I’ll add it again…

“In the Bible, how to identify the bad from the good was based on how well the devil had progressed up to that point. But since then, the devil has read the bible also, and has adapted his methods to update his spiritual weaponry”

Chapter and verse please to back up your assertions!

Thanks and have a nice day!

    Phil

  7. Hi Phil

That is just my opinion based on observations. You do not have to accept that statement if you don’t want to. WHen Jesus was here, the devil only referred to the old testament to tempt people. Now he has the new testament also. The devil does see and hear. He heard the gospel being preached, so he knows what it is about. So he has new things to twist around. That is just deduction. but not there is no scripture that says this. Many false doctrines come from the new testament, not the old.

    marianne

  8. You are very, very right about the false Christian websites!!! There many churches like that also!!!!! Thank You for stating the truth IN LOVE!

  9. Dear shirllehoski,

Thanks for the kind words. I just want everyone to be treated fairly.

    God bless you
    marianne

    • Marianne, I know what you are saying is true. Just recently
I went to a site that focused on how God does not use
women to teach or to preach in any way, unless she is
teaching a room full of only other women or children.
I do agree that a woman should not lead a church such
as a pastor would, but I believe God has called many
women to preach his word. The site spoke specifically
against a very well known woman speaker who travels
extensively and holds conferences to woman and men
alike. I have no doubt this woman is called by God. She is
one of the most effective teachers/preachers alive today.
She has a personal testimony of abuse from the past and
has overcome those things to the glory of God!! Anyway,
I sent a comment to defend this woman, stating that even
though I don’t like everything she says as far as personality
goes, I believe God has called her and anointed her for
such a time as this. When you look at her audiences the
majority of the people are women but there are plenty of
men there too. She is bearing much fruit for the Kingdom.
She has helped me tremendously, since I too have suffered
abuse but not in the exact way she did. When I see how
she has overcome even worse abuse than I experienced,
I am encouraged that all things are possible with God.
When I sent that comment, I did not expect the blog author
to come so strongly against me. She denounced my comment
as being unscriptural and continued to rant against that woman
preacher. She also said she will not tolerate one more
positive comment about the woman in question. Her response
seemed hateful and spiteful and I concluded that I would
not visit her site again as it didn’t seem to be very Christlike
in nature. I also wonder if she considers the fact that there
is more than one way to teach…..she has a site that is
visited by men and women alike and she too is supposedly
“teaching” certain things, even though I feel those things
are taken out of context and misinterpreted. If she finds out
that men may be “learning” from her is she willing to shut
down her blog for the sake of what she interprets from the
bible that women are forbidden to teach anything to a man?
We must be careful that even though some things should
be avoided like the plague, and we should speak out against
injustice, abuse, false teaching in the church, that we not
become hateful or unkind. And we should not personally attack
a person unless we feel they are unrepentant and continuing
to cause damage to the body of Christ, whether they are a
leader or not. Marianne, continue to give us the whole
counsel of the Word of God. Yours is one of my favorite
dependable sites to visit. May God continue to bless you, your
      family and your ministry.

the good tree bears good fruit. if you benefited from someone, woman or man, then it is right to give them credit

the issue over women is not based on teachings of jesus, who arranged for women to be the first evangelists, announcing his resurrection.

the issue is based gentile interpretations of the teachings of paul

        here is an explanation:

        Paul and the Mechitza

        Paul and the Mechitza

it is good you recognize problematic sites

so just avoid them and let god deal with the more narrow minded

  10. I am reminded of being on a UCC site, often referencing scripture that opposing abortion. I laid down five or six verses in reference to God creating us and knowing us in the womb. They debated back that that was all about creation but not life and that there is nothing in the bible that specifically denounces abortion. (They dont beleive abortion is murder, so “Thou shalt not murder” got nowhere) Of course the bible doesnt denounce a lot of specicifc sin – such as child pornography – so I guess that thats ok too.

WHen I cam back to them with more scripture and what I felt was sound rational thought, they just shut me down..I was allowed no more posts after they had had their last word. Sound familiar?

  11. HI Bret,

Yes, it sounds familiar. I have been blocked from several sites from presenting a christian viewpoint.

these days, you have to shop around to find the real thing.

Let me remind you all Satan has been around since the foundation of the earth. He knows what is in the Bible because he has been there since the begining.

  14. May I leave a comment?
Satan is father of lies. However, this does not mean everything he says is a lie. The portion that makes his saying a lie is probably less than 1% (much truer than most politicians, pastors?, myself). It is just this 1% makes everything turn to a big lie, but so subtle no one will recognize unless one is in tune with the biblical truth.

No human being is immune to Satan’s deception because it is simply palatable, pleasurable, plausible. (Regrettably many pastors are preaching messages infected with it.) Slippery slope is one of his favorite technique.

That’s why Yeshua told the disciple to pray: ‘Take us and safeguard away from the Evil One.’ (Mt 6:13. It is not ‘deliver us from’ as if we are pawns in the hands of the Evil One. It is for shield and safeguarding. His protection is guaranteed. However, it means we have to remind ourselves to keep watch and to be in the Lord.

  15. Hi Oun,

I agree. We also have to daily strengthen ourselves with the Word of God, to keep the truth in front of us, to improve discernment. I have heard the expression that Satan deals in half-truths, in which he uses the truth to lead us into his lie. He can persuade people successfully like that. Unless we stay in God’s presence, we will be swept away in a deception.

  16. There is proof. Evil people do use Jesus as a crutch to make Christ look bad. eg: a man will rape, kill, torment, run a big group and seduce young women, especially in Texas. Cults ect…
Some use his name for witchcraft. They have hate and act as if they know Christ. You try to talk to someone who doesn’t know Christ and will act as if he knows all about love and the word, but loves to get angry and is only happy when high on dope or booze. Meanwhile you never see a bible being read by this person or going to church. And is judgmental at everything. These are not real Christians.

  17. Hi Brandy,

You sound smart. You can see through people.

Stick with the good guys. I sounds like you know a bad egg when you see one. 🙂

There are many fake people out there. We need to stay away from them, so they do not drain us of our energy, and drag us down. Staying with good websites and nice people will keep us uplifted and happier.

  18. we all must learn to love the word by reading and studying our Bibles to show ourselves approved and constantly examine our own hearts as well as be careful of false teachings so as to see that we do not fail our LORD JESUS CHRIST falling back into sin ourself and repenting when we know we have fallen back into sin . we can also detect false teachers when others do not bear the fruits of the spirit and teach contrary to the word of GOD and yet profess to know a so called ( knew thing ) God is doing . GOD said HE is the same yesterday ,today and tomorrow.
blessings to you all that follow JESUS CHRIST THE ONLY BEGOTTON SON OF GOD in the name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST AND TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOREVER AND EVER .

  19. Hi Nhel,

What you say is very true. If everyone would read the word for themselves, and not just go by what someone says, they would not be deceived. The Word is worthy! It deserves to be read and followed ! 🙂

  20. Another wile of the devil is to make sure Christian babes never learn what “spiritual” means. He has entered every church and tried to keep people trying to follow the Bible “rules and regulations.” They are not encouraged to hear God for themselves, but instead to read the Bible as a book of laws. They never hear the Holy Spirit guiding them from within, so they never come to actually know Jesus personally…and that means that at judgment, they will hear Jesus say, “Away, I never knew you.”

People who demand us to quote chapter and verse for everything we say are no different than the Pharisees that persecuted Jesus, even tho He quoted chapter and verse to them. They never understood the spiritual aspect of the Torah. This is what Jesus kept pointing out to them, but they insisted on the Law, instead.

But even the Scribes and Pharisees knew some facts that were not in the Torah. For example, VERY little was written about the devil and demons in it. Yet they demonstrated they knew what demonization was. That came not only from seeing the devil’s personality in the Word, but also from what they saw in life. They were able to put things not in the Word with what they saw with physical eyes together and come to correct conclusions that were not found in chapter and verse.

So people who read the Word over and over often never see the overall picture, and only look for all the rules to follow. Then they get on their high horse and condemn people who do see truths about the Spirit. Love, DavWms

    • People that refuse sound doctrine and just go by subjective experiences are prime targets for deception by the Devil. In fact, it is usually the Christian babes as you mention them that are subject to deception since they are not mature in their faith and doctrine.

Take the example of the Bereans in the New Testament.

      Acts 17:11 NIV
Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

This is from the Bible and not just someone’s opinion.

Within reason you should be able to back up your faith and teachings with scripture references.

      Regarding sound doctrine:

      2 Timothy 4:2-4 NIV
Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

      2 Timothy 3:14-16 NIV
But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

Now are you going to call God and the scriptures a liar?

  21. Hi David,

True. It has been said that idleness is the devil’s workshop. Now we also have to include that being too “busy” can have the save results….all “works” and no relationship.

When we read the word, our eyes have to be open.

    • Jesus said, go out into the world and cast out devils, and save people..But people are saving themselves. I find as soon as one mentions the devil and being attacked by evil spirits, the Christians pray only, and many run..Where is the faith?

  22. First of all this site is beautiful! Well spoken on the web-sites. The Devil is prowling as a hungry lion so be sober!
Marianne, if you have time, I am searching for prayer warriors for little Jessica. Her story is at willohroots, I believe in prayer, and it is sorely needed in the fight. thank you

  23. Hi willaroots

I will certainly keep Jessica in my prayers. It is very sad about her. Be cautioned. This is a secular society, and does not care about human life anymore. The court could easily give her back to the parents, and then your heart would be broken. Do your best, and then brace yourself for any negative decisions. Pray they don’t happen, but be prepared if they do.

You also need to document and report, with witnesses, how she behaves after being around the parents. This documentation may help you to keep her. Otherwise, it is just your word against the parents.

Thank you for the kind words about this post.

  24. They have power from the snake, and not from God. That power becomes controlling and so when someone pisses off someone they feel they have to rebuke them and bind them. When Christ said turn the other cheek.
People are looking for power and they are not getting it from Christ..cause if it were so, they would be able to cast out devils, the power they seek is to destroy man and his evil ways, but they never seem to think they are in the wrong…each time a Christian cusses he or she is sending curses. And I know cause i was doing that after my boyfriend made me angry…I had to sit back and ask myself is this from God..and repent…I have to just walk away, and let God deal with. Today many play God and forget it ain’t Gods power to control people…He brings them in Gently, not by force. When a church cast’s out demons they must be non- sinners. They must not have fear, nor a Jezebel, Nor a Baal nor a lustful spirit. Other wise that spirit will jump into that person who is being delivered. People play God and we will never be little Gods like some say. We are not worthy and Satan tried that and he was Cast’d out of heaven.
We can demand the demon to go, but we need more faith in Churches, cause the Devil prowls to destroy and he goes after those who want Christ all the way…he will do anything to deceive that person..Some preachers do their work for the Camera, and fame. Some women do it cause they think they have power, when in fact Eve was tempted by the serpent. So all I am saying is the church needs revival, power from God and repentance and begin to cast out devils, and heal the sick.
And they over came them by the blood of the Lamb…

    • HI Brandy,

I have experienced what you have. The only church I know of in the Vancouver area is this one:
      http://www.henryhinn.org/vcc.htm

The Hinns are accused of a lot, but I have been at the meetings, and many people do get help. God still uses imperfect people to help others. You could start there, make an appointment to talk to the ministers, and see how it goes. I am not sure about Henry, but Benny, his brother has been very successful in deliverance.

    • You need Christ and salvation Brandy. I hope you come to realize this.

You say non sinners must cast out demons? Even believers are still capable of sinning. There is no perfection this side of Heaven.

      1 John 1:8 NIV
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

As for the Hinns? Stay very far away. Those are false prophets and false teachers. Stick to what the Bible teaches and stay away from the Word of Faith, Charismatic movement.

You need the Gospel not heretical teachings.

    • I find your obsession with demon possession interesting and concerning. If you read the instances of demon possession in the Bible–in the Gospels and in Acts–the removal of the demons is very simple. Whether it be Jesus or one of the apostles, all they do is command the demon (in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ) to leave the person. There are no oils, holy waters, incantations, etc. So if anyone has to use anything fancy to ‘remove’ a demon, they’re false (see Elijah and the false prophets, 1 Kings 18). We have the power and authority of the God, through the Holy Spirit.

      • hi christian

I was not sure who you were talking to here, but you are absolutely right.

I try to describe demonic situations for people, so they will recognized them, and react appropriately.

Removing a demonic presence requires the willingness of the victim, and the holy spirit.

      • Some sickness are unto the glory of God, just as Lazaraus was allowed to die, that he may be raised for the glory of God.

        John:11:1-4

a certain man was ill, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of lMary and her sister Martha. 2 mIt was Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was ill. 3 So the sisters sent to him, saying, “Lord, he whom you love is ill.” 4 But when Jesus heard it he said, o“This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”.

Be careful when advising people who have suffered thing’s that you haven’t. Until you’ve suffered it, can’t minister or advise those who have. Your answers sound a bit pattonizing, because in your minds someone is sick because of their actions, and that may be, but God has his own timing that he will heal you and his own glory that he receives from our suffering and healing. We don’t have the patent on God and how he works. We all have different relationships/experiences with God. We are not all called to the same subject of ministery. God bless!

  25. “Subject yourselves, therefore to God; but OPPOSE the Devil, and he will FLEE from you. Draw close to God and He will draw close to
    you”
    James 4:7-8

Third party involvement is not necessary for deliverance.
Is God’s power not at the foot of your bed. ?
You don’t have to “shop around” for God’s mercy !!!!!!!!

    • Hi RIchard

What you say is true. But there are babes in Christ that are very dependent on others, and have not matured yet. Hopefully, the mature believers will help them grow, so that they rely more on God, rather than others, as they make progress in their spiritual warfare.

  26. P.S. Excellent article, Marianne !

  27. Sorry, Marianne, I thought that you were referring to people
who think that they have to go to a “special place” for
deliverance. In a scriptually based fellowship the necessary
oversight should be available to people of all levels of growth.
I can only assume that you are referring to people who do not
have fellowship, which of course is un-scriptural.

  28. Hi Marianne,

    Your blog is superb!
    It happens this way:
When you believe and are saved, God sends His Holy Spirit to dwell inside of you. You read the Bible and prayerfully ask God to help you understand His Word. The Holy Spirit inside you nudges you lovingly, as the ‘Helper’, to help you understand what the verse means, and what it means for you for the particular situation you are in. Furthermore, Jesus says, “Ask, and it shall be given you.” (Matthew 7:7) So if you ask God to guide you on something or save you from danger, He has bound Himself to respond, because of his numerous promises in the Bible. E.g. “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5) “Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid, neither be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

    • Thank you Ketan

That was a very good, simple, and beautiful way to express salvation.

      I bookmarked your blog site.

May God bless you, and protect you, in Mumbai. May your light shine, and win many who are seeking God’s salvation.

  29. Okay, I am lost here. 😦 I hope you can correct me if I learned or heard wrong …
Lucifier is Morning Star.. And he used to be archangel overseeing for God…. and under God’s wrath upom Lucifier because he has done wrong that fed lies to Eve and Adam.. So, by doing so, God turned Lucifier into devil and named him Satan.
In all that, makes me wonder, is it possible that Satan already know all about bible because he once was an angel himself before he lost it all with his selfish thoughts. And he also hate humans.. that’s why he is destorying us.. Now Archangel Michael have taken Lucifier’s place.. long time ago.

Forgive my strange innocence confusion, I have long way to learn in many ways… and it’s okay if you consider me silly or navie.. but the truth is.. spirit of mine knows more than my flesh human lets on.. Teach me ?? Pretty please ? 🙂

    • hi Tamera

Yes, Satan used to be an archangel in heaven, and was removed when he rebelled against God. He hates humans because we can accept Jesus and go to heaven, where he is not allowed any more.

He is sometimes called Lucifer, which is a result of someone translating a passage in Isaiah describing Satan as a star…..which fell from heaven. Luce means light, and that is what a star looks like – light.

Yes. Satan knows what the bible says, but he does not care. He was rejected from heaven because he wanted to be God.

  30. Small wonder how he would twist every words in bible to confuse and deceiving people.
A question is : ” How come people’s words cannot always get through me except words of God ?”
Reason I asked is because most people always accusing me as the worst stubborn mule they ever met. When they try to lecture … I simply shut down and let words fly over the head instantly. I do not know why or where I got that result from.
You know, I love my mother dearly… She sometimes got furious at me when she began to lecture me about government and the car clunkers… I didn’t know that my face shows all so clearly when I did really heard her… She said ” Your face simply shut my words out as soon as I try to talk to you about government. ” Feeling bad that I did that to her.. I told her as truthfully as I am able that I simply do not trust everything government offers or says or do. I only able to trust no one but God alone… and believe in Jesus with all my heart. If anyone try to talk to me feels almost like bribed or convicing me in different ways.. I simply shut them out unaware.. until my mom caught me in my unaware moment. lol..
I am not truly stubborn on purpose… just strong willed and very mind set with certainty… sometimes I did slip or stumble from time to time… with self doubts.
Okay.. I hope my question is able to be answer truthfully. I prefer truth 🙂 no matter how painful it is.

Is there any interesting issues I might try to learn or study ? Any suggestions ? 🙂 Thank you and bless you all.

  31. Are you sure me and you haven’t dealt with some of the same online ministries? lol. THere is one I’ve been banned from their forum because I asked a question. It’s been over a year now, someone came along and gossipped and caused much division, then they left (3 or 4 times now) they are now playing games with me and still will not let me into thier forum. Being moderated by jezebels, of course. lol.

    • hi LiberatedEagle

it is always possible that we have been to the same sites.

Look out for sites that are always critical of others in ministry. What they say may be true to an extent, but they are obsessed about the criticism, and go on and on and on!

They are also very intolerant of anyone who wants to say anything positive, to bring balance, and anyone who disagrees with them.

Do not feel bad. I was banned from one site also. Mostly men at that one.

These sites are really demonic. They are full of religious spirits, and even Jesus had trouble with them.

It was the action of religious spirits that got him crucified. so beware of them.

      • I used to visit this one forum pretty frequently. I tried to keep from getting too negative because alot of folks that posted, especially the regulars, lived in that state of negativity constantly. I would always try to present my questions and viewpoints in a positive manner.

One time I introduced a topic and it was deleted by one of the moderators as not adding to the discussions on the forum. A few months later, one of the regulars posted on the very exact same topic and everyone joined in whole-heartedly on the discussion as if he brought up something very wonderful. It made me mad!!! It was the exact same thing I brought up but yet my post was deemed inappropriate for discussion.

        • stacey

do not feel badly about that.

it has happened to me also.

          so i started my own website…..! 🙂

Here, everyone has freedom of speech, unless they cuss, and i will edit that part out.

  32. i agree with this post. the only thing i would add to it is we must watch out for these false sites and preachers for they come with every wind of doctrine to cater to all those’itching ears’ out there in the church. i would say that the sites that pander alot of truth and then mix half truths and half-lies are 10x as dangerous as those who just straight up give us a bunch of nonsense and false teachings we can spot a mile away and see it is heretical.

  33. you need to look at your own site. Discernment is not present fully here. Unbiblical art to boot. Angels are not female. No one has been to hell or heaven and still lives. I could go on all day. Stick with just the bible and trusted version not a corrupted on as many are today. Take a look at what you have here as topics and pray to God for help

  34. Satan (Lucifer) was kicked out of heaven because he betrayed the Heavenly Father God…he and some of his satanic angels were thrust into the world..satan is the prince of the air..the ruler of the world..
God allows him to rule the world. The satanic angels are satanic demons that harrass Christians. Remember, in Cor. we are instructed…”be not conformed to the world..” The journey for humans here on earth is a difficult one..battling the devil everyday…but with the power of the Holy Spirit in us (IF we are born again Christians)..we can overcome !!

It’s all about the battle of Good and Evil (God and the Devil)..if we are ambassadors for Christ we represent God of the Bible and will fight the good fight of FAITH..faith in our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ.

  35. Look, being a Christian is not a rose garden..it’s sort of like ‘working a program for addiction’ in that you MUST work the program every single day of your life thru Bible reading, prayer and fellowship with believers if possible…all to reinforce your beliefs and to encourage you in the faith. We are all ‘recovering sinners’ so that’s why I say it’s like ‘working a program’–we will slip and fall, but there should always be a brother or sister to help us up. That is Biblical!! Sure, there are so-called Christians that don’t really have a clue, but we need to pray for them.. many are babies thata never grew up. God wants us to be mature Christians that no longer require milk but that eat strong meat…which comes from studying the infallible Word of God. I am full of ‘much to say’ on this site, but will sign off for now. God Bless each and every one of you. I have a heart for baby Christians that do not yet understand..but I have little patience with those who refuse to grow up !! Goodnight!!

  36. First a user here “Marianne” referred to Benny Hin as a source for exorcism or deliverance.Im sorry to say that this person is highly deceived, Benny Hinn is about as much as a tool for satan as is the Pope. Do you see Benny Hinn on TV? Yes because the God of this world has installed him there to wreak havoc.

This doesn’t mean Marianne is working for the dark-side, probably just deceived.

As far as exorcism any born again Christian who is full of the holy spirit can lay hands on a cursed demonically oppressed sinner and they can be freed of the spirits which are causing homosexuality, sin, addiction to false religions, drugs.. etc. You can see my channel on youtube under the name”YAOKRIGHT” for more info.

I have seen many tool “christians” speaking on demons as bad habits, or spreading ideas that herbs and crystals can cure people of demons etc. As we are nearing the end of the world the human race is full of sin and consequently full of demonic spirits. I have done 2 exorcisms and if you don’t believe in evil spirits you can even see how popular they are by looking up things like orbs and ectoplasm. These spirits show up in photos every day and people don’t even know what they are looking at (in regards to orbs).

  37. Amen – there are some websites that seem to attack every move of God and demonise every anointed minister. They do sound Christian, but we recognise the angel of light, the wolf is sheeps clothing.

  38. I was reading this page and when I came to the negative behaviors, it described my husband to a “T”. I know this is about Christian websites and forums, where d I get more information on individuals who are negative like this? Is that the Jezebel spirit in an individual?

  39. […] Are False Christian Websites putting you in bondage? […]

  40. l must say every thing that was written from this person putting us in bondage truly happened to me.
Every word l read was my story.
l saw and felt 1st hand that many claiming to be with Messiah practiced this very subject on one especially
    exjehovahs witness web site.
It was not the woman who were so religious and cruel, it was some of the men there.
Even after l resigned they still were mean and cruel about me when some folks missed me and asked where l had got to.
All l was sharing with them is what l had now found out after leaving the organisation.
The cruelty I’m sure will be written in the heavens and one day they will have to explain all the did and said directly to me and behind my back.
If my reputation precedes me from what they have said
no one here in my country would want anything to do with me.
lm fine now because scripture does say if we are persecuted know we are following in the footsteps of Yahsuah for the sake of truth.

    • Margaret

remember, the religious people did not like Jesus either,

      they had him crucified.

the only reputation that needs to be honored is the one you have with God himself.

      God loves you

so ignore the trash and the cruel people,

wipe the dust off your feet, and keep going.

you have learned something most are ignorant of….how spirits infect the church..

use this knowledge to help others who are going through this now.

God can use you in this final hour.

  41. Marianne, is it possible to use different kinds of art
for your site? Even though whoever does this is
talented and the quality of the art itself is beautiful
it is also quite seductive and almost pornographic
in nature. A naked woman is not the best representation
of a Christian site, even though your content is
scriptural and always a blessing to me. Please consider
this as I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling this way.
I for one would not want my husband to see this site
for that very reason, even though he could certainly
learn from the content. Think about men, even Christian
men, who are trying to overcome pornographic
addictions, seeing the pictures representing this site.
My husband has never had that particular addiction,
but being a normal man he would certainly react
to this image; imagine how difficult it would be for a
man that has struggled in this area. We are not to
put a stumbling block in our brothers (or sisters) path.

    • sparkle

I understand but will not change the picture.

the problem is not in the picture, but in the viewer.

I make sure nothing is “showing” on the woman

the picture represents a spirit which needs to be exposed, not covered up

if the picture affects a man, it means he already has lust in his spirit….I did not put it there.

this just exposes what is already in him.

he needs to admit this and repent, and learn holiness before god

  42. Please people, dads and moms, watch out that your kids (tween, teen, young adult) don’t follow or read some of the homeschool bloggers. They endorse the books of Narnia and Lord of the Rings and when I tell them that those books are demonic, they ignore me and delete my comments or they argue with me that I’m in error ’cause God hasn’t revealed to them that those books are evil! Also, those bloggers have an unnatural thirst for fantasy literature, going so far as becoming fantasy writers themselves.

Please dear people, watch out for the fake Christian bloggers!
